Stacy Summary:  The British Chancellor of the Exchequer hands out billions in taxpayer money to private corporations to ‘correct market prices.’  And Obama proposes to lend magical money to the IMF, the money apparently appears on no balance sheet. And while the IMF seeks to use the crisis to place more emerging economies into inescapable debt trap, American college graduates are struggling with their own legally inescapable university loans.

  1. How dare people say Max is unkempt. For a lot of his AJ-E audience, access to weekly showers is unknown.

In many parts of the world and due to water restrictions people only shower weekly anyway.
The US and EU economies have collapsed to a point now to where only the wealthy can afford hairdressers.

He does not work for any state or private broadcaster that could foot the bill for his being tarted up.

Even broadcasters that can afford to tart people up eventually get realistic:

CBC-SRC Canada banned reporters using fur coats in the late 1980s (but this rule may not apply to the CBC-SRC North native reporters).

  2. As long as we’re a bit off the rails here… Stacy, please, Tweeting about condoms?!  Say it ain’t so…

  3. Speaking of emerging economies, there was a Joint Economic Committee hearing this morning in which Joseph Stiglitz, Simon Johnson, and Thomas Hoenig testified. Can’t find video yet, but their witness statements are worth a read:

  4. Ok, I took the red pill and now I see everything clearly. This is no joke.

Seriously folks, Max and Stacy. Is there hope for mankind or are we just on the downhill slope to hell?

I need to know what Max and Stacy thinks!

Ditto Supergeek.  I find it odd that people still want to see “good looking” people on TV.  Does it matter that Susan Boyle isn’t a super model.   Her voice brings me to tears.  It is the brain and the inside.  The soul and the spirit.  Keep up the good work.  Both of you.  You are absolutely perfect together.  I wish I had found someone I could have called a soul mate.  But alas, I was young and followed my hormones, marrying a “Ferrari” with no motor.

  6. On Obama proposes lending IMF $100 billion
    >>IMF’s so-called New Arrangements to Borrow, or NAB<<
    >>Obama said the NAB was “woefully inadequate” to deal with the severe economic and financial crisis<<

Tears of laughter rolling down my face.  Obviously “nabbing” is a verb that only works in Britain, then.  So they haven’t stolen enough eh?  To anyone not familiar with the term, to nab is to grab (steal) as in “do you mind if I nab a couple of those?” or sometimes used for arrest, as in “the police nabbed ‘im.”

  7. Mr Supergeek

    Hi Max and Stacy
I notice some more of those concerned posts about Max’s well being.  As usual the paternal voices encourage Max to get a haircut and tighten up his act. Please don’t change Max and do not hold yourself rigid unless Stacy or the occasion calls for it,  remember Y’All Stacy is like the razor and Max is like the soap….So stay lather like Max!.
The last post on this subject did contain the hilarious spelling mistake ‘be sweater to her’  I agree… “So be unto her like a tight fitting cashmere garment, that maketh her warm and secure” Oh Yeah one other thing do ‘tire her’ I’m sure she will thank you in the long run.
    OK bye
