WHY?
“Restriction of free thought and free speech is the most dangerous of all subversions. It is the one un-American act that could most easily defeat us.:
The Federal Corporation of the United States has passed laws today that would make Hilter blush, their are fema camps all over the country, 500 million plastic coffins, legislation to put RFID chips in our identifation, what is wring with this picture, cannot you people see this is history repeating itself?
wake-up please!
I’s the people pretending to protect us that we should be afraid of

The strength and genius of the individual person are, in line with the absurd nature of democracy, being set aside in favour of majority rule, which amounts to nothing more than weakness and stupidity. And rather than recognize and affirm the necessity of struggle, people are preaching theories of pacifism, reconciliation among nations and eternal peace. — Hitler

Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf (1925): The masses find it difficult to understand politics, their intelligence is small. Therefore all effective propaganda must be limited to a very few points. The masses will only remember only the simplest ideas repeated a thousand times over. If I approach the masses with reasoned arguments, they will not understand me. In the mass meeting, their reasoning power is paralyzed. What I say is like an order given under hypnosis.

A moron trying to impersonate an arrogant intellectual – LOL!
Thank you for the fun!
“non displayed liquidity venues” and dark pools, are these money laundering tools or what?
The banker magician puts a stack of bills then covers it with a black silk sheet, the mobster puts his stack of drug/crime money behind the curtain, then the banker magician removes the sheet and voila, big magical profits from the dark of nondisplayed offshore account? (just a thought)
To: Per Grunau
Since you follow with argumentum ad hominem I assert that you are a worthless toad and a moral coward, but worse still, you are a philosophical infant of no consequence whatever.
I suspect you’ve graduated from Trailer Park University in Somewhere, LA, USA. (Maybe you merely attended, but dropped out discovering that you’d have to take a foreign language–namely English.)
@don
well said.
we need to counter ignorance with knowledge.
Also, like Sharon; freedom of speech can not and should not be infringed. Let them say what they want, counter it with something more enlightening, intelligent and compassionate. Once freedom of speech is adulterated there will be no end to what is “allowable” speech.
Blaming the radio host or television personality for a murder committed by some sick individual is like blaming a gun for killing some one. Guns do not kill people, people kill people with hammers, ice picks, shovels, knives, cars, drugs and even guns. It is sad yes, but such is the Human Condition.
Every time that I turned on the radio and listened to this guy, (not you Max! ha ha ha ) I said “this guy is f@#king nuts!” I find his ignorant rants offense only when I get angry with him and sucked into the dog-chasing-its-tail argument. Just fuel for anger.
Like Max said “let Micheal Savage talk about real issues”
If some is not talking about “real issues” I am not listening.
Let him say what he wants, his style only thrives on people who want to do battle, not those that agree with him. The other sick ones who agree probably only do so because they are angry people and thrive on the intensity and anger and the false sense of power that they get. He argues louder and faster then hangs up on the caller, so he wins the argument, right? Maybe with people who can not think for themselves. Control freaks and power addicts.
Maxinator, aren’t you trying to silence someone? You didn’t actually pose an argument. You made an erroneous statement. So it looks to me that you’re a hipocrit, who is trying to silence someone.
Isn’t Max Keiser working toward opening up creativity and expression via piratemyfilm and civil disobedience regarding corporate copyrights? He is doing more for freedom of speech than you ever will. He is working to help free up thought itself from the clutches of the corporations you portend to oppose.
Hate speech is a crime that hides behind the weak understanding of freedom of speech held by idiots like you. It’s simple. Say anything that won’t harm someone. Otherwise, you risk harming someone, and have no right to take those risks on someone else’s behalf. Are you against the basic laws that provide for security of person as well? You support freedom to assault people?
Max is going to get what’s deserved for today’s stupidity i.e.: Banning someone for hatespeech is just what the corporate world wants so they can silence anyone.
Scott, you’re comparing sugar consumption to someone telling others they should commit murder. Meh, I needn’t waste the time.
Dylan’s lyrics for “Nothing was Delivered” came to mind when I listened to this weeks show.
Nothing was delivered
And I tell this truth to you,
Not out of spite or anger
But simply because it’s true.
Now, I hope you won’t object to this,
Giving back all of what you owe,
The fewer words you have to waste on this,
The sooner you can go.
Nothing is better, nothing is best,
Take heed of this and get plenty of rest.
Nothing was delivered
But I can’t say I sympathize
With what your fate is going to be,
Yes, for telling all those lies.
Now you must provide some answers
For what you sell has not been received,
And the sooner you come up with them,
The sooner you can leave.
Nothing is better, nothing is best,
Take heed of this and get plenty rest.
(Now you know)
Nothing was delivered
And it’s up to you to say
Just what you had in mind
When you made ev’rybody pay.
No, nothing was delivered,
Yes, ‘n’ someone must explain
That as long as it takes to do this
Then that’s how long that you’ll remain.
Nothing is better, nothing is best,
Take heed of this and get plenty rest.

@gb – have a look at The Third Wave experiment. youtube The Wave or download/buy the film Die Welle. those films illustrates great what words can do to people if presented in a “right” way. words can convince you to do the most strangest thing.
I imagine all murder is caused by hate. It’s the ultimate hate crime. Sure, keep track of different types of crimes. But I don’t think people’s words can convince you to murder someone. Maybe they just help you realize that that is what you want to do.
Remember, today they may censor what you don’t like – tomorrow they may censor you. Once the censorship is in place, WHO DECIDES?
Here is Michael Savage, with another brilliant rant:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HHKlvuuo3w&feature=related
“So have your freedom to threaten and incite hatred if you want to start collecting the dead bodies of it’s targets.”
So have your freedom to drink alcohol if you want to start collecting the dead bodies of it’s targets…
So have your freedom to drive a car if you want to start collecting the dead bodies of it’s targets…
So have your freedom to call your husband a pig if you want to start collecting the dead bodies of it’s targets…
So have your freedom to eat sugar if you want to start collecting the dead bodies of it’s targets…
So have your freedom to flirt with girls if you want to start collecting the dead bodies of it’s targets…
And so it goes…
Never count on so called liberals, when it comes to defend the basics of a civilized life. This site is a good example!
btw, what is that supposed to be “hate speech”, “political correctness”? It’s the kind of speech people have to learn in Orwells “1984″!
If the people playing around with with ‘theory’ regarding hate speech and freedom of speech had their lives or the lives of loved ones threatened openly through media, I think they’d get it. A large part of what people do, is based on perception of what is and what is not acceptable according to social contract/society. Sure we feel like doing all sorts of things, but we regulate ourselves, and do so in part with reference to social norms.
When someone is allowed to openly threaten the lives of others, perception among certain members of society shifts such that they believe carrying out those acts is acceptable. Allowing hate speech endorses hateful acts. There isn’t a gray area. It is statistical fact. If someone says person X or people Y should be killed, and that someone is allowed to say that freely. Then the likelihood of person X or people Y being killed increases. So start discussing the importance of freedom to murder, main, assault, lynch, etc if you want to dabble in allowing hate speech.
The ‘theory’ I’m referring to has been proven through the management and reduction of crime in communities and prisons. It was instrumental in Rudolph Giuliani’s part in reducing the murders in New York City from 1905 in 1989 to 642 in 2001.
So have your freedom to threaten and incite hatred if you want to start collecting the dead bodies of it’s targets.
Hitchens, (in that failed imbed) Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHzjNhH7jXg
makes the argument that when you make “hate speech” laws, you have to choose someone to be the arbiter of what is hate speech.
Here is hate speech:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yge311sFhC8
But I think most of y’all would find this hilarious.
What if your chosen arbiter thought this brutal? Who did you reward the job of picking Michael Savage to be banned? Isn’t that a too powerful delegation? I certainly don’t know of anyone pure enough to be granted that power. Do you?
My argument goes like this-
Alcohol causes violence.
Twinkies cause violence (got milk?)
Driving causes violence.
Siblings cause violence.
Flirting causes violence.
Sports cause violence.
Beautiful girls cause violence.
Big arms in bars cause violence.
Wearing bandanas cause violence…
Ban all of them.
Yeah.
Sure.
Sticks and stones can break your bones but words cause permanent damage!
(Talk Radio)
@ Scott, you misread me . . . totally my fault for being vague. What I meant by “acceptance” was that we have to accept/acknowledge that one DOES lead to another . . . that’s it’s not something to write off as “a few bad apples” who would have acted similarly outside of provocation by the hate brigade.
I very much believe that hate speech desensitizes people and makes them believe that expressing hatred towards groups of people is valid. As other comments show, that desensitization even leads people to think that those who push back against hate speech are only concerned with “political correctness.”
@scott
I’m not sure the example of someone expressing hatred or racism for an individual (right or wrong might be based on some truth or personal experience) can be compared to publicly expressing hatred for a Race or group of people. It is when hatespeak is publicly expressed against a group that it is considered to be incitement to Racism/sexism etc which is usually against the law.
Roland,
I’ve read Marx intensively in my field of study. Please point out where Marx spoke of “political correctness.”
Hate crime laws serve the purpose of recording and keeping track of crimes against a subgroup of the population. They have nothing to do with “political correctness.” Beating up a gay person or murdering liberals because of hate for those groups is different than beating up a little old lady just to get her purse. Hate crimes are geared towards an entire group of people with the intent of terrorizing said group as a whole. The punishment for hate crimes should be the same as ordinary crimes, but there is nothing “Marxist” about labeling them for what they are: HATE CRIMES.
You prove that the purveyors of hate and the far right have succeeded in their goal to pervert the conscience of mankind. They minimize the power of hateful language and rhetoric by scornfully expounding on nonsense about “political correctness” so that instead of owning up to the violence embedded in their “free speech,” they can shift the blame on others. It’s as if to say, “there’s nothing wrong with me calling Muslims rag-heads and wishing out loud for their extermination, it’s the PC tyrants’ fault for taking offense!”
Further, the sure course back to civility is to bring back duels? You do realize that duels were sparked by even the most tiny of perceived personal slights, right?
“”At some point, we need to accept that those who engage in hate speech DO incite hate and violence.”"
Sure. And all those men who beat or killed their wives? We have to accept the fact that when women say something that offends a man, she might get beat or killed for it…
Yeah.
That makes sense.
And all those people that yell at umpires at little league baseball games? We have to accept the fact that that leads to baseball bat in the head syndrom.
Sure.

Ansgar!
Even worse! Instead of allowing the government to punish free speech, you suggest everyone should be allowed to kill at will. You have a twisted barbaric mind, my friend! I think the problem with your kind of people is that you shy away from an open hard and franc discussion, because you KNOW that your kind wouldn’t survive.
Re: Jesus Speech
Max’s allusion to the literary Jesus was comic. I was having flashbacks of Hunter S. Thompson. In fact, Max often uses a HST style when he speaks. And that it also appears that Max must consumes a pint of Wild Turkey before the show, also adds to the illusion of listening to HST talk about politics and economics.
Keep it up, Max. I love the Fear & Loathing on financial markets you bring to the internet.
Why don’t you, for a change, employ yourself with the research of the lineage of your true rulers, the greatest gangsters, which enginered the greatest theft in history and are on their way installing their “world order” on everyone: Rothschild, Greenspan, Bernanke, Summers, Kissinger, Soros, Madoff, Sandy Weil, Fuld, Blankfein, Silverman,Wolfowitz, Friedman… instead of babbeling the same old.
Re: Hate speech
Your naivety is stunning, at times. But let me first say that I absolutely despise M. Savage, just as I despise the entire Neo-Con Fascist Regime he supported. However, I also despise the concept of hate laws and, therefore, “hate speech.” Hate speech laws and all political correctness has its roots in the social engineering theory of Marxism. So, whether you support Marxism, or not, getting on the internet and supporting hate speech is supporting Marxism indirectly.
Here’s one thing that would put an end to people like Savage. Bring back the custom of men calling men out when one man has libeled or impugned another man’s reputation, and let them dual it out in the streets. I guarantee you that Savage would not be the foul-mouthed lying piece of garbage he is now, if this tradition returned. You’d also see a burgeoning new market for dueling pistols, and match officiators. This could be a growth economy, and society would become more civil again.
Free speech has consequences.

At some point, we need to accept that those who engage in hate speech DO incite hate and violence.
spelling errors- CRINGE!!
i was dissappointed with max’s comments on Michael Savage. And I agree with ‘gb’ on this. You may have issues with his opinions but he still has a right to air them. Its a slippery slope when we as a society decide someone should just be ‘banned’ outright. And i don’t agree with most of what mr. savage says but i was delighted to see that he was the only one you gave Phil Berg some air time. (barry sottero venture)
I think max contradicted himself several minutes after the savage outburst when talking about
‘the night of the long knives’ / ‘night of broken glass’ while saying why
did’t the german people stand up etc.why don’t peopel stand up for free speech now.
Is the george galloway (banned from canada) situation ant different?
When we condemn peoples’ free speech we are are condemning our
own as a free society. Whos to say max and stacy aren’t next? Would like a little
visit from the CIA?? The CIA seemed happy to do it in Italy (of which Max reported on)
Rights most be protected- or else we’re next.
Loved the show. Only criticism would be the comments on Savage. I may not like what he says but I would defend to the death his right to say it – I agree with this well known quote. We MUST protect free speech no matter how repulsive.
Re: Hitler’s great/grandfather (whatever he is) I heard that his grandmother was a house servant in one of the Rothschilds mansions and she got pregnant – who knows?
@Proximo – incidentally, that’s historically un-likely fact. His grandfather is most likely to be – Johann Georg Hiedler (sep.28, 1792-1857) not so exiting as baron Rothschild, and the two other possibilities that historians suspect is Johann Nepomuk Hiedler (aka. Johann Nepomuk Hüttler) (march.19,1807-1888) and the third even more unlikely person is Leopold Frankenberger.
Anyway, it’s time to download the show and listen to it.
All well and good Max , but what can you, I mean “we” of course”, do to correct and expose the situation of total WS corruption and control of Govt. ?
The subject and evidence is so massive, that the normal Joe6packer doesn’t have a hope of putting it all together into a “believable” essay.
IMO, one needs a Central Website that connects all the eveidence in the form of a flow chart , for want of a better word.
There have been so many articles over the past 10 years that have eventually just been forgotten about etc.
For example:
…. Rumsfeld being asked “where are those 2 Tri.$ that the Pentagon has lost? ” before a hearing on the 10th. Sept. 2001 !
( There is fortunately a YT video “still” out there )
…. Catherine Austin-Fitts at IRTA talking about FNM and FRE being used as a Govt. slush fund
etc. etc.
On your Building #7 and Naked Short Selling…
Not one single entity – of any notability – has been arrested for “Naked Shorting” since 2002 AFAIK.
The TwinTowers were insured and the owner ( who bought it 3 months earlier to 911 according to a German TV report ) actually got paid twice accordig to the same TV report ( due to 2 hits ).
The TV channel was either Arte or Phoenix IIRC ! ..not sure though.

@Daniel. S I thought when it came to skin stitching the diamond was usually favoured….
I love you both, but Max, don’t come out against free speech. People have the right to listen to Savage or whoever and decide for themselves. That’s what’s important. If he is censored today, anyone else can then be censored tomorrow. The whole thing only served to generate publicity for him.
@Mep…..Cheers a bunch. Very informative. As always with this kind of evil the manipulation of language(proaganda etc)always plays a pivotal role.
So, if a bank can be driven into a quick oblivion by the massive sales of counterfeit shares, to allow short-sellers to move their money and profits along quickly to their next target. If treasury paper can be counterfeited and left undelivered. Then is there anything that anyone can buy through a broker that cannot be counterfeited?
I was considering purchasing units of Central Fund of Canada which is a gold and silver bullion holding company. But even if their gold and silver are real, secure, and truly unencumbered. Even if my brokerage or it’s possible failure, doesn’t somehow rob me, or the government rob me. Couldn’t the units I buy turn out to be counterfeit, leaving me with nothing?
My home can be robbed. My safety deposit box can be robbed. Any online medium can be hacked and robbed. I can’t be assured that I’ll always have secure internet access with which to check up on holdings every month as full security with Goldmoney seems to demand.
Maybe I need to buy gold and eat it or stitch it under my skin. Too bad I’m not a mutant like Wolverine. Then I could pour it over my bones.
Good show, always love the banter.
But you messed up the question about if/when the Pound will collapse, you kind of just let it slide away.
You could have mentioned North Sea oil/gas running down, or how London’s no longer going to be the banking haven it was during the last oil boom, or gone into some analysis about fiscal deficits and money printing!
It’s amazing that FedGov.Inc is accelerating it’s criminal activity. Please note the domain suffix. They must be getting some desperate. And there is little or no mention of “Naked Short Selling” anywhere in the MSM. When it’s referenced it’s called “Short Selling”. Which is a totally different animal. Have you ever interviewed Bud Burrell? Do a search on YouTube it will pull up his interview on Jim Puplava’s show<financialsenses.com>.
He’s an expert witness on naked shorting. And I believe he may be testifying in the Overstock.com / Martha Stewart civil case against the DDTC. Wes Christian is the attorney.

Regarding California, wasn’t the problem originally Enron’s manipulations of energy prices, not that Californians enjoy pricey services?
Regarding Michael “Savage” Weiner my impression is that he’s just a far-rightwing Zionist/fascist who applies the Israel paradigm to California. For him, Mexicans, atheists and liberals are just Palestinians to be put into camps.
Incidentally, historically likely fact: Hitler had a Jewish grandfather by the name of Baron Rothschild. Hence his anti-Semitism.
I have just heard your most recent babbeling, Mr. Keiser. So you are against free speech? Fits perfectly with your appearances on “All Jaaaazzzeeerrraa”. Why don’t you leave us alone and go back to your own rotten society and culture? The one Savage so brilliantly describes! It only confirms my opinion of you: Just another insane barking “american” clown.

Decline in AUD, NZD & CAD buying power since 1920 or 1950 charts wanted…
http://zerohedge.blogspot.com/2009/0…urchasing.html
I know that this classical decline has taken place with the USD, but the AUD, CAD and NZD have had similar declines as all have evolved into fiat currencies for reasons not explicitly related to the USD becoming a fiat currency.
Mind you, the AUSTRALIAN POUND and NZ POUND were defacto until 1966 and 1967 respectively. So strictly using dollars you could not chart loss of buying power until 1968.
Canada duodecimal conversion some time after 1864 (1864 to ~1870), and the NZ & Australian territorial bank bills denominated in Gold are still honored by the Central Bank for legal reasons.
Note: You cannot normalize loss of buying power the the UK Pound without some intervening math until the year 1972, as the UK went decimal in 1971.
I agree with William, it is the best show I have tuned into yet.

Anyway the issue is part and parcel of corporate vandalism
done to the environment and human health and therefore
not off topic.
The issue is not raised much, some people I have met think its a diversion from the real issues but these people are stuck in their mindset of bread and butter. They seem to have no time for honey or vegetables, or the life crises of humanity.
@ Youri Carma. If that was my wife I would be watching the porno flicks with a couple of hookers just praying she would walk in and have finalized the divorce by week’s end!
Anyway, Max and Stacy. You guys are great! Tell the building 7 story to the American audience the next time you are on the air waves in the US. The dark pools stink to high heaven. These murder for money sons of bitches! What kind of sickness spins around in these banking sickos minds!
I am convinced that the US is already a fascist state, and has been for a long time. When you look at law enforcement, they all look sinister and para-military. Now that these pigs were busted in Texas, or Alabama –where ever it was, lets see how much justice comes down to the swine at all levels of that county.

If you listen to the CEO, it sounds like it was just the magic of digital technology, but the guy who disassembled his microwave actually figured out a way to make the popcorn pop! Nothing like scaring the crap out of people to get them to buy Bluetooth earpieces.

@ Stacy, Another Texas story: Texas is charging rape victims for their rape kits! (I thought they only did that in Sarah Palin’s Alaska . . . which has the highest rate of rape in the country.)

$2 trillion are the total Chinese foreign exchange reserves, $1.9537 trillion by the end of March to be precise.
Analysts believe China holds up to 70 percent of its foreign reserves in U.S. dollar-denominated assets, including Treasury securities.
So, 70% x $1.9537= $1.3676 say $1.4 trillion.
Re: the presently non-bankrupt buying into the market, my father is doing it. He’s bought AmEx (proudly told me yesterday that the stock has gone from his buy-in of $12 to $30), Ford, a bunch of energy stocks, and is thinking about GE and bank stock. And no, he doesn’t have the disposal income to be doing this. I’m not sure what kind of financial sites he’s looking at, but he told me that when people start clamoring to sell off a certain stock, he waits a couple days and then buys in.
Barry Ritzholtz has a couple good blogs up about the stress tests. The third one down shows how banks were able to negotiate their test caps. Ritzholtz correctly points out that the “worst case scenario” stress test criterion of unemployment–9.5%– is just around the corner. In a sense, the entire measure seems pretty arbitrary to me seeing as how U6 unemployment is hovering just below 16% now. But if they want to stick with the U3 measure, the more mainstream economists expect to top off 2009 with unemployment above 10%. Their estimates are ususually conservative, so shouldn’t the worst case scenario have at least been around 12% for the stress tests? Or is that a question not even worth asking since the point of the stress tests seems to have been making the banks look relatively sound to ease the public into accepting further help for the banks? They’re recovering. Really! If only we give them some more money to pull themselves up by their loafer tassels, they’ll be in tip-top shape!
