Stacy Summary: Thought I would gather some headlines on how other blogs are responding to the China’s announcement of the dollar’s imminent demise. Just domestic politics, or real threat? What do you think? And how are you positioning accordingly?
Updates:
Stacy – Weird, this is like some demented oil minstrel show for the Twitter age.
“It’s like a Eurovision song contest or a game show for energy companies,” said an executive at a top-three global oil giant. “A lot of work has gone into preparing our bid but I think on the day we are going to see the process may be quite fluid. If some companies find themselves disappointed on one contract they may have to make deals with other partners on the spot.”

Wacko Jacko’s not dead…
he faked it to cash in on the INSURANCE for his upcoming tour…
That’s right… DERIVATIVES…
after all, he was going to get sued for $40Mil due to his London concerts by some asshole promoter in Vegas (not allowed to perform before the Jackson Family reunion concert next year)….
So a fake death settles that crap in a hurry…
Now if you’ll excuse me,
I must be off to get my tin-foil hat refitted….

I modified my Twitter account appropriately (although I am using BAY STREET for my location and logo)

@Phil – your comment got caught in spam, it seems that the death of Michael Jackson caused a barrage of spam! You should see it! Totally insane. Thousands. Anyway, I have taken it out and posted it. If anyone else got lost in the spam mountain, I’m sorry – try again please . .
@Stacey The gameshow is an excellent way to make the iraqi audience accomplices in accepting the extortionist relationship. It pushes to the back of their mind the notion Iraq could train their own experts and drill for oil themselves. Now they got the ‘best deal’..

… (NaturalNews) As the anticipated July release date for Baxter’s A/H1N1 flu pandemic vaccine approaches, an Austrian investigative journalist is warning the world that the greatest crime in the history of humanity is underway. Jane Burgermeister has recently filed criminal charges with the FBI against the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations (UN), and several of the highest ranking government and corporate officials concerning bioterrorism and attempts to commit mass murder. She has also prepared an injunction against forced vaccination which is being filed in America. These actions follow her charges filed in April against Baxter AG and Avir Green Hills Biotechnology of Austria for producing contaminated bird flu vaccine, alleging this was a deliberate act to cause and profit from a pandemic.

Oops typo…don’t wanna upset the ‘sweaty socks’ in case they come across the border looking for my spam…..
(Sassanach (sass eh nak) is a Gaelic word, primarily Scots, mostly derogatory. It means outsider, outlander, or foreigner. It mainly is used describe the English ( = Saxon) at their worst and most despised, so the connotation of the word has come to be a derogatory one)…..
oh yeah FYI and any jocks out there…I do not actually hold spam I have shares in spam mines and I have account with a company that holds my spam in a vault for when I need it…
If China dumps the dollar it will be their cheapest war ever.
Noth Korea is not on the radar, however, if you view them as china proxies it is pretty significant they are threatening Hawaii. If Hawaii gets evacuated under the threat it makes it easier to hand over to china. If China really wants to strike it will give no warning.
Those Forbes people talking about a slow appreciation of the renminbi are like a convicts expressing a preference for a specific color of noose.

I did post last nite this jacko thing could be bigger than kennedy/elvis/9-11, so inspired by Max and Stacy and the anti-twitter (? )campaign..we should start some jacko conspiracies…we could burn out the internet, twitter and who knows maybe speed up the death of the dollah……
@GBD yeah GSH wrote some good stuff but I’ve been telling people for years the revolution WILL be televised…in this age of mobile phones youtube and dig cameras then If I get to watch everybodys elses revolution then I’m sure I’ll get to watch mine……
@Supergeek:
OH joy! I have a new word to love: Sasanach. Don’t think we have Tizer here in the states, although we do have dandelions and burdock. I remember weeding burdock, such a stubborn root.
chronic on par with gold when compared to dollars i meant.
Today I added to my tunafish, chicken noodle soup, and dogfood positions.
The charts are sending me a hold sign on buckshot and bicycle tires.
Will be looking to add some vitamins and soap on dips.
Cash (as in paper money not a bank statement) and physical bullion are always a good idea as well.
@Giuseppe
Thanks for the insight.
@Dhama
The only commodity that can be created by ANY person and is on par with value according to dollars is the chronic. Don’t buy it, GROW IT!
I think that is what Jack actually bought from the giant. These seeds are indeed magic beans.
@francis snoot
Tizer is like waterd down ‘iron bru’ for sasanachs…
or rusty coloured red fruit soft drink…not as nice as dandelion and burdock….

@TimDandee
BRILLIANT analysis
1 Oz. of Au buys a suit today as it did in 1913
(Italian Tailoring, no less !!!)
1000 Oz. for 20 years of retirement…
that sounds quite logical…
and if you factor in the potential price inflation for GOLD down the road,
it sounds like you’ll be buying up London with Liverpool Mike and Kaiser Keiser (aka King Tim VIII)
The only problem is, if the world decides to shun currency-based social ordering for
TECHNOCRACY (unlikely to happen)
or Authoritarian Corporatism (Looking more likely everyday)
then your gold will only be good for coating windows
(excellent for radar deflection… that’s why it is used for the Stealth Bomber/Fighter)
or handing over to the Gov’t Collectors…

Bond auction manipulation…no way, would they fudge the data.
http://www.reuters.com/article/bondsNews/idUSN2425368520090624
How am I positioning myself? Well, I’ve already invested in gold and silver bullion. This week I was wondering if there would be a failure at the US Treasury Auction (as there was in UK a while back), so I bought a silver ETF (AGQ with a stop-loss of course), but not much happened. I’m convinced that the US Gov’t rigs the auctions in advance, including the Fed’s participation, to insure that all the debt is sold.
Stacy, did you see the story suggesting that the results of treasury auctions have recently been doctored to make it look like foreign buyers are buying more? See “rule change” under:
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=a8iC7N55nY14
I think there are still a lot of delay tactics that GS & the US oligarchs will be able to do to forestall the USD collapse. I’m actually thinking USD might gain strength if we have another stock market collapse or if another major bank goes belly up.
By the way, it appears that Max is not the only person “On the Edge” about the latest economic figures:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoAyBb8D5GU&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fzerohedge%2Eblogspot%2Ecom%2F&feature=player_embedded
This is a bit off topic, but i have heard that GM is going to use their plants for manufacturing arms when the next war starts up. It is looking to happen in Middle east.
When this shocker event drums up another war (could be coming soon), then these plants will be perfect.
Interesting…..
Chinese Renminbi Must Appreciate Gradually http://tinyurl.com/lto8um
Nice wisdom in Forbes but that’s only possible if the dollar doesn’t decline to fast. I got the gut feelin it ain’t gonna happen like that.
They could even leave the empty FED hull and step over to the allready planned NWO worldbank. If the U.S. inflicts more wars this will influence the economy in a more influencial way. Especially if China and other countries get fed up with this charlatan play and become more aggresive which would be a well deserved reaction since the U.S. has no restrains at all in their hubres going for broke attitude and asking for a fight. They will overplay their hand so that their brains will be blown out of their satanic deformed 322 skulls at that time will be to late for them to realise they had to restrain. With some inbreds you only can communicate on their level which means sacrifice their children to Molog. Than it won’t be a funny day out at the Bohemian anymore.
@Stacy:
YOU are the GODDESS! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
(that was definately hyperbole)
or should i just buy lots of weed
@frances snoot – I don’t think so as it seems to be something being driven by China (and Russia) and their wording suggests they want to end a debt based world;
Anyway . . . I can announce we will be having Paul Craig Roberts on as a guest for the next episode of On the Edge next week and will ask him all about this issue; he was former Asst Treasury Secretary under Reagan. He should know more than I.
Does it make any sense to buy 3 ounces of gold, hope it hits 3,000–im guessing after Oct. 29 2009 for traditions sake–and then buy into the renminbi or whatever fits?
@Stacy:
I’m going for the toilet paper in all the mall bathrooms!!! mwahaha
Mr. Supergeek:
What is a rum and tizer?
@Dedo – it is!
@Mr Supergeek – you got the right plan! And, remember, as I said on one of our podcasts . . . . grab all the free sugar you can at Starbucks, McDonalds, etc. Those little packs of sugar are given away free now, but they will be like currency if/when there is a real Mad Max like crisis.
@Stacy:
I wonder if the new ‘instruments’ are a way of securitizing debt so the bankers can still float balloons above the banks?
I thought monetary inflation was a stealth tax ?
For all you babblin’ babylonians………Peter Tosh -The Day The Dollar Die.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtwmjcsQi1E
I remember when this was a permanent part of the site….Oh Yeah my positioning… I’ve positioned myself on the sofa with a rum and tizer…..kinda like a front row seat…..bring it on.
So,…to the naive saver,…leaving the money in a bank isn’t a good idea?
@Dedo – fear of inflation, fear of dollar collapse, speculation and front running china/US/european/Latin American/Asian/Australian stimulus/infastructure plans ?
@Stacy,……if that’s the case Stace,.how come all the smart money is moving into commodities?
I refuse to pay into Wall Street any longer. The only cash I keep on hand is for dollar denominated debts that I need to pay and some reserves for emergency. Other than that, I am buying PMs. If an oz of gold buys a suit today, as it did back in 1913, then I can assume that I will hold my purchasing power with gold. Hence, I calculated the cost of living today, figured out when I wish to retire, and how many years I believe I will live after retirement. So, if I need 50 oz of gold a year to take care of my expenses, then I will need 50 oz of gold a year to take care of expenses 30 years from now. Assuming I am dead 20 years after I retire, then I would need 1,000 oz of gold to retire.
Someone correct me on my thoughts if I am figuring this out wrong.
@frances snoot – Very confusing, check it out via google/wikipiedia but as I understand it, SDRs are Special Drawing Rights, which is I guess like a virtual currency as it is only tradable amongst member nations; not something traded on an open market
oops NK meant NC for naked capitalism
Do you know what ‘sdr denominated tradable financial instruments’ are, Stacy? I don’t.
@frances snoot – haven’t seen it yet, but i will in a bit if you recommend!
@Stacy:
Thanks, Stacy. whew. Oh, I just remembered, I don’t have any savings! Did you see the funny video clip about plastic on the NK site? It’s a gem.
It’s not the imediate dead but the tone of the music is clear and at the end we all know it’s not sustainable this politics. The Chinese getting nervous with their time frames and the NWO is pussing in high gear to prospone the last act and biding time at whatever costs including war, staged events like 911. They go for broke and they don’t deny it anylonger. Fema camps, foreign troops on the American streets, rogue police etc…etc…etc.
@frances snoot – no it doesn’t mean they steal the savings, it means there is enough domestic savings/capital to fund government borrowing . . . you can see how this works in Japan where there is, or was, a massive pool of savings upon which the govt was able to draw and so did not need to borrow overseas to
the Naked Capitalism is an ok article. what is truly a gem are the comments — please read the comments to the article.
Strikes me as interesting when, on On the Edge, Hudson enunciated his view that, in due time, a new, multi-polar world would emerge. Certainly, main players Russia and China want to see such en evolution–a position underlined by the meeting in Russia in Yekaterinburg, the city in which the Tsar was killed, perhaps a symbol of Russia’s desire to kill the current order–however, Hudson, and this is no fault of his, overlooks Washington policy: Full Spectrum Dominance, 2025. The United States, by way of pitting countries against one another–Iran against China, North Korea against China, Germany against Russia, etc., wishes to consolidate power among the banking and corporate agencies of that government .
The Iran color revolution, though I do not believe solely the result of Washington meddling, does not seem to be going as planned. They have no demagogue, they scantily have control of media within Iran, and Twitter is only available to 20-25% of the country.
So, a multi-polar world might emerge, as Hudson suggests, however schisms will reveal themselves shortly thereafter.
When can we start calling this WWIII or IV (depending on whom you asked)?
well stated Stacy!
