We hope you guys can drop in and say hi!

  2. TheBlackSwan

    Goldman Suchs!

  3. Production qualities are infinitely improved, the show is coming along very nicely. The editing is quite slick.

Any news on The Oracle? I think that format suited Max’s style more.

  4. Poor Dr. P.C. Roberts can’t keep up with Max’s frenetic pace! Nice show.

  5. Max,
As much as I love listening to you and Stacy, it sure would be nice if you gave more time to your other, more prominent guests. I have to think you would have liked to have another half hour with Dr. Roberts…

By the way: I’ve been calling for your “conflation” of wages (did you mean “convergence”?) for about 10 years now, though I refer to it as–and I coined the expression as far as I know: Inevitable World-Wide Wage Equilibrium (IW3E). You’re welcome to use it if it aligns with your prognostication.

  6. tell me why i should listen to and heed the “father of Reaganomics” ?

  7. Mike/Liverpool

    Max/Stacy that was Great…………Thanks

You might like to think about getting together “a Round table” People like Peter Schiff etc…..could be fun?

Hell, you might even be able to get me on ;)

  8. “The house Negro vs. The field Negro” – Malcolm X

Malcolm said that he was a field negro.

I’m happy to see Keiser point out Obama’s flaws.

Hopefully there will be more of this!

    Good job Max & Stacy!

    @Rasta:
Maybe now Mr. Roberts know what NOT to do?

  10. Richard@lattitude30N

@Rasta: Yes..ol’ Dr. P.Craig Roberts has come full circle since his days in the Reagan administration…that’s why we listen to him…he was around when John Stockman invented “supply side economics” with Arthur Laffer; and when Col. Ollie North ran the Iran-Contra ops from the WH basement…But the economic model we see collapsing around us goes all the way back to the 1970′s when Nixon took us off the gold standard ( if not to 1913 when the FED was created )…And the substitution of oil and the arrangement with OPEC. This “bubble econometrics” also carried forth during the Greenspan years at the helm of the FED; and now with Bernanke, permits the underlying system to remain intact and all the players ( minus Spitzer, the former head of the SEC, Madoff, Stanford, Prince, and those at Bear-Stearns and Lehman Bros.) also!!! The continuance of the derivative bubble ( including CDS’s) and the mechanisms that underly it’s core existence will prolong the current devastation while the Obama Administration concocts yet another “bubble” ( Cap and Trade? )…and another one involving the new proposed health care system ( remember insurance companies rely on “risk management amortizations to grow) to replace the old worn old model…We are hopelessly trapped as long as we go along with the madness of allowing the fox to guard the hen house; the FED to go unaccounted for the lack of transparency and entire fiat money system to continue unchecked…it’s been so long since we’ve had a commodity based economy…the “leaders” are hoping we never understood the fundamentals behind SOUND MONEY…even Max is the creator of “virtual money” …and I found you here…Rasta…I and I…Salassie I…where is the ganga????

  11. hell of a show guys.

I wonder how iranians react to the weekly “googbye y’all”

Always a pleasure to listen to Dr. Paul Graig Roberts clear explanations.

Bob Chapman seems to be fairly sure about the Bank Holiday this time but we had a call for that before. Maybe it’s gonna happen this time in autumn probably.

Audio could be better though. You guys begin to sound like Peter Schiff’s Vlog blog always overpitching or somtin like that.

Tell you that the trade in goods for goods worlwide is very underestimated.

I hate artist working for free especially if it’s for Google. Undermines wages and doesn’t value good ideas which for people who are used to stealing good ideas like Bill Gates is probably normal. People who are not creative themselves like to put creative people down. But somebody has gotto come up with new ideas to steel or the society will be dumbed down with just a view ideas which get recycled and stolen again.

  15. Great show guys!
I would love to hear more Q/A with Dr. Roberts

Oh man! This whole government here in the US is either delusional, sick or plane stupid.

I have been noticing alot of propaganda geared towards those horrible parents (like myself) who spank their kids when they are out of control. Now, the good ole gov. wants to attack the parents in the media (new papers, magazines..). Yet where the f@ck are they when it comes to nailing the pedophiles who are the ones really hurting children? Oh yeah, they must be buddies and buddies don’t rat buddies out, right?

  16. frances snoot

    @Don:
No. Unfortunately, the pedophile ring in the government itself is quite large. The government is only people, and the people that aggregate to jobs where they can abuse other people with power and control are in the government.

Being a happy nominalist, I don’t have to define government. The concept only exists in people’s minds. There are jobs that we all are forced to provide part of our productivity to finance: government.

  17. frances snoot

    @Youri:
    impressive.

  18. Great show guys. I always like holidays. Next holiday after a bank holiday will be a food holiday followed by a concentration camp holiday.

  19. A couple minor precious metal happenings in my market.

Effective July 1, 2009, Questrade (a discount broker in Canada) offers 80% loan value on gold bullion in non-registered accounts. With this change, you can now buy gold bullion on credit and borrow on the bullion already in your margin account.

Also, it looks like another silver ETF is in the works with a Preliminary Prospectus having been filed for “Silver Bullion Trust” sponsored by Central Fund of Canada. They currently run one that buys 50 ounces of silver for every ounce of gold with precious metal holdings worth about 1.94 billion US in total currently. Looks like another option on the way for Canadians at least.

the Preliminary Prospectus can be found here:

    Testimony by Timothy Geinther:

“Most countries in the world impose tax on the worldwide income of individuals on a residence, rather than citizenship, basis. Thus, non-U.S. nationals employed by the Fund outside of their home countries generally do not pay home country income tax on their Fund incomes. However, the United States taxes its citizens regardless of where they are resident; U.S. staff of the Fund are taxed by the United States on their Fund income regardless of where they are located. Arrangements have been made to reimburse employees for income taxes paid to their home countries to put them on an equal footing with staff who do not have to pay home country tax. Of IMF tax reimbursements, 99.5% go to U.S. staff. These reimbursements represent a transfer from the IMF to the U.S. Treasury. In the absence of tax reimbursement, the actual after-tax Fund income of U.S. staff would fall well below both the pay of other IMF staff (that is not taxed) and the after-tax pay of employees in the U.S. public and private sectors. In such circumstances, it would be very difficult, if not impossible, for the Fund to recruit or retain well qualified U.S. staff.”

Since last year there are stories in the translation biz about companies asking translators on their lists to work for next to nothing (1-5% of normal rates) to help translate web pages. Their reward? The pleasure of translating fascinating content.
The translation biz tends to be way ahead of the rest, so expect slavery to be standard in the not too distant future.

“Slaying the deficit dragon won’t do a thing to lower interest rates or raise the dollar. But raising taxes could put the economy in the tank. And won’t that do wonders for the deficit?”

Riddle: who make the above comment? hmmmmChristin Romer? no ….Larry Summers? no…Dr. Paul Craig Roberts? yes.
    http://www.nytimes.com/1990/03/15/opinion/rostenkowski-plan-a-gop-triumph.html?scp=2&sq=Dr.%20paul%20craig%20roberts&st=cse&pagewanted=print

    here’s more:
“The traditional case for a balanced budget no longer makes sense. Today capital markets are international, and the Federal Reserve Board has lost much of its power to sway U.S. interest rates. If other countries raise their interest rates, we have to let ours go up too in order to stay competitive. This competitive pressure is independent of the budget.”

Dr. Roberts definately know now what NOT to do!

  29. frances snoot

More expert advice on what not to do: Dr. Roberts:
“It has been suggested that the incoming Federal Reserve chairman, Alan Greenspan, should continue the policies of his predecessor, Paul A. Volcker. But more of the same is not the answer to today’s problems. Mr. Greenspan’s main task is not to fight inflation but to restore a credible policy of growth so that the world can safely deal with the large-scale debt problems that the collapse of inflation left in its wake.

Today many are ignoring these facts and are arguing for an anti-inflation policy consisting of higher taxes to reduce the deficit and higher interest rates to support the dollar. It is hard to imagine a more disastrous policy for a world economy that is still reeling from having lost its bet against the collapse of inflation. For this reason, Mr. Greenspan must break out of Mr. Volcker’s mold.”

  36. Great show Max and Stacy.
You have format, definitely have pace and all good info.
I agree with others that I miss the personal proximity with guests and Stacy that the Oracle had. Thats ok though, this show is heavier on info and lighter on predictions which is a good thing. It is great to hear people from the inside tell us outsiders what is going on. Now we don’t feel like paranoid freaks, Thanks guys.

Only thing with guest is(as others have pointed out)…
Re: P. C. Roberts past and Reaganism.
It always happens that these ex public servants(joke) can be honest and clever now, after the fact. When they are actually in their office they are just ‘yes’ men. Sounds like Mr Roberts was told what to do in his time by the likes of Goldman Sachs and kinda resents them (as you would). If no-one ever has the balls to say these things at the time then the system stays the system forever. We just end up with bitter old rich men who wish they had the balls at the time to be somebody, with all due respect to the man of course.

  37. Great show .. Thx.

    German FAZ writes …

… “die Politik akzeptiere höhere Inflationsraten, um den Realwert der Staatsschulden zu reduzieren,”…

  45. @Max Nature is still breathtakingly beautifull in many places..

It would be an excellent environmental strategy to capture the willing ‘herd’ into a virtual world so complete and photorealistic that they’d care more for virtual intimacy than their physical existence. Supporting and presenting that lifestyle as pure, materialisticly austere and voluntarily disciplined (think Apple) would create a herd that would look down on mere ‘realist’ as primitives. The ability to constantly allow succes at no cost (though a smart game structure, something very hard to do in reality) would mean being able to dole out dopamine and fixing behaviour in any way one would want, primarly to enslave the herd. By making the necessary server farms and hardware carbon neutral while crowd sourcing intellectual effort to run real world activities (think virtual control rooms, being actual real control rooms) would create an environment in which the non-captured could leasurely repair the planet. One could even think of level in the virtual envrioment requiring extreme dedication on the part of the user where they control drones without realizing they are real. I think a movie was made on that subject long ago about a boy that played a video game which was put on earth by an alien people to find a pilot able enough to fight for them..

Shit happens (and I know), but you can use it as fertilizer ;-)

  46. Richard@lattitude30N

@Max: let me get this straight….since the fiat currency/bonds are “counterfeit” then the only solution is a virtual monetary system to replace it….of course you mean privately rather than having the current central banks issuing another fiat currency to replace the old( ie.: the SDR’s)…thus they represent the “analog” world and WE the players using this new digital/virtual currency are their successors….Only one question: Where’s our military to enforce the viability of our good deeds?????Already China seems to have caught on and has abandoned( outlawed?) this neauvou practice….I realize that you are well invested in it’s success as the progenitor of Karmabanque, and that program you remind us you sold to Canter-Fitzgerald pre-9/11/2001, but really Max???? when that fellow( name escapes me) set up his on-line sports gambling casino in Aruba, and was then indicted/convicted in federal court; he fought it using the WTO rules against such descrimination against member countries, AND WON!!! Is that the route that follows??? Be specific, I like the concept…as I see intelligence at work here…it’s like if you can’t beat them, join them is a perverse way….

  47. frances snoot

The system has been operating since Bretton Woods through the IMF. It is odd that Mr. Roberts had nothing to say about SDRs and the Chinese. He needs to read Mr. Zhou’s (reform the international financial system) essay:
    http://www.pbc.gov.cn/english/detail.asp?col=6500&id=178

” The centralized management of its member countries’ reserves by the Fund will be an effective measure to promote a greater role of the SDR as a reserve currency. To achieve this, the IMF can set up an open-ended SDR-denominated fund based on the market practice, allowing subscription and redemption in the existing reserve currencies by various investors as desired. This arrangement will not only promote the development of SDR-denominated assets, but will also partially allow management of the liquidity in the form of the existing reserve currencies. It can even lay a foundation for increasing SDR allocation to gradually replace existing reserve currencies with the SDR.”

So whom is the Treasury Secretary working for? Answer the question whom Mr. Zhou is working for and you will understand why Mr. Geinther is alligned with Mr. Zhou concerning the implementation of sdrs. (hint: the answer is not Goldman Sachs)

  48. frances snoot

  55. Great show. Good job Max on getting the answer to your last question, ie. who does the US Treasury Secretary work for – the people or the banking system? Answer: He works for Goldman Sachs! Now, coming from the former Assistant US Treasury Secretary this should be front page news!

  56. Richard@lattitude30N

@Sharon: Right on sista…But if there had been a few more minutes to the interview, a great follow up question might have been: Was it that way when you were @ the Treasury?

    @MotherEarth:
Listen carefully to what Max is saying about analog world vs. virtual world. Digital money is the new wave:
    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,297035,00.html
    (gag, Sorry it’s a fox news link…)

“China is building its own strength but if it can distract and occupy the minds of its adversaries it is happy to do so.”

China is controlled by a central bank, just like we are here in America. The Zhou essay I linked explains what the Central Bank of China wants. Central banks are all tied into the same system for corporate/ banker enrichment.

Do you believe that after world conquest, planned economic implosion, and Central Bank control of virtually every currency on the planet, the Beast will just twiddle thumbs on the upcoming currency devaluation? No. Kissinger delineated a world population controlled by resources, not money. Digital access to resource availability will be the new currency IMHO, for we the “grateful”. The big boys will still get to play with their gambling financial vehicles, but they will be regulated by the BIS:
    http://www.reuters.com/article/hedgeFundsNews/idUSLNE55T00U20090630

We will be told by the media lackeys that this is for the good and safety of all people: a new equality, a new era, social justice.

    Analog to real time…

  58. frances snoot

“He works for Goldman Sachs! Now, coming from the former Assistant US Treasury Secretary this should be front page news!”

If Geinthner works for Goldman Sachs, then Dr. Roberts worked for Goldman Sachs, and the whole Treasury is a Goldman Sachs entity. Do you really think this is so? Why would Dr. Roberts incriminate his good name in this way? Is Dr. Roberts implying that in the good old days of the Reagan cowboy years, the savages (Goldman Sachs, venture capitalists) stayed away from the Treasury, but now corruption is rife? If so, one would have to be really naive to believe this. Do you think Dr. Roberts believes we all are naive?

The truth is as blatant as the nose on your face.

  59. frances snoot

Geinthner is the Governor of the Board of Governors of the IMF. He gave testimony to Congress in 1998 concerning IMF governance and functionality:
    http://www.ustreas.gov/press/releases/rr2380.htm

Obama’s signing statements on the last IMF funding bill *war bill* basically stated that the IMF will not report to Congress concerning activities pursued with our tax money.
“The Obama administration announced in the statement it would disregard provisions of the legislation that, among other things, would compel the Obama administration to pressure the World Bank to strengthen labor and environmental standards and require the Treasury department to report to Congress on the activities of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF).”

  60. @Snoot It does not matter who you present as the enemy, the solution always lies in cooperation amongst the disgruntled.

This goes equally well for ditsinguishing between banks (GS, JPM, etc.) the distinction weakens the resolve against them. One of them drawing focus by doing something outrageous helps in their defense.

You say: ‘If Geinthner works for Goldman Sachs, then Dr. Roberts worked for Goldman Sachs, and the whole Treasury is a Goldman Sachs entity’. If you mean GS as the banking system alpha dog, than sure, you are right. The current treasury/fed structure is a complete creation of GS. Did you not get that?

  61. @ Richard@latitude30N……………….a great follow up question might have been: Was it that way when you were @ the Treasury?

Excellent point! And I would have loved to hear the answer.

  62. frances snoot

    @MotherEarth:
If you mean GS as the banking system alpha dog, than sure, you are right. The current treasury/fed structure is a complete creation of GS. Did you not get that?

Exactly. Who whistles and doggie comes running? That is my question.

“It does not matter who you present as the enemy, the solution always lies in cooperation amongst the disgruntled.”

The problem in America is that we Americans have been lied to from our diapers on up. The enemy was always foreign: we Americans did not realize that the foreign enemy was within our own gates. So wars were fought, peoples were decimated, and time pulled the cache into the evil doers hands. If our people now would to realize the enemy is not ‘ideological extremism’, Osama Bin Laden, banks, subprime mortgages, etc., then we the disgruntled could fight the battle as a cohesive unit.

Unfortunately in America to accept the underlying reality is to cross the rubicon, and most Americans stoutly refuse to do so.

  63. @snoot Your assertion of a nonresponsive attitude may not remain valid..

  64. frances snoot

    @MotherEarth:
Yes. When Americans realize that the old is over and now means struggle, the response will change. Unfortunately, the response will be chaotic and futile. We are a nation of the uneducated, the medicated, the facade bearers for the carnival.

  65. @snoot We may no longer be a nation by then. As the forces at work are transnational, the concept of nation is a debilitating one, rather than one that empowers..

    Hi max ‘n’ stace

I think your past critism of Ayn Rand is wrong, I have read Atlas Shrugged and there is a great deal of common ground when it comes to say themes such as Goverment intervention, liberty and gold( eg the inhabitants of John Galts outpost traded in gold as it was considered true money )

Check out this guys essay on fractional reserve banking, remember Ayn Rand wrote about theft of purchasing power through infaltion in the 50s!

    @Max
Interesting article! What about both, deflation in assets, inflation in currencies?

  78. @frances … ” These registered warrants would not be payable immediately, but rather on a future date. These warrants will be identified with the word “REGISTERED” on the front. ”

@Max: Just back from a10 mile bike ride,,,,used the cheeks “big bottom” seat for the first time…not to my liking…Oh yeh..Well Max that was what Daniel Estulin was saying after the last Bilderberg meeting: They were dickering whether to have a complete and sudden crash or a slow burn as Catherine A. Fitts likes to say…so which one will it be??? IMHO: since the American voting/taxpaying public is still looking for those “green shoots” and a recovery, my take is that they will explode one or two more bubbles on our faces until every shelve in the markets is entirely empty and the cost of transportation requires the selling of your first born…Is that what your post was meant to convey?

  80. frances snoot

    @Phil:
    Really? Why?

  81. Holy shit! The link provided by Max shows………….

The following list from CIA shows US owing over $12 trillion to foreign residents as of June 2007.

    1 United States $ 12,250,000,000,000
    2 United Kingdom $ 10,450,000,000,000
    3 France $ 5,370,000,000,000
    4 Germany $ 4,489,000,000,000
    5 Spain $ 2,478,000,000,000
    6 Netherlands $ 2,277,000,000,000
    7 Ireland $ 1,841,000,000,000
    8 Japan $ 1,492,000,000,000

The UK owes $10.45 trillion. How the f*ck did that happen? I mean we’re only a small nation. I know we’re in the thick of the financial industry but how the hell are the citizens expected to pay that back? It’s almost as big as the US debt and yet we’ve got less than a quarter of the US population! Bloody hell, I need to get moving!

The bank is being paid 3.75% interest by Cali for holding these papers till date. Where is the collateral on this debt? Is it the savings of those who deposit the warrents? Is this backdoor capitalization of Cali tarp banks?

“We are reluctant to take this step, but are doing so to help our customers who are not at fault and with the expectation that the Legislature and governor will complete the budget within days,” Lisa Stevens, head of community banking for Wells Fargo in California, said in a statement.”

    Mike

  85. @frances .. “Why ?”

Those are effectively the same words printed on the German Reichsmark notes .. for different reasons maybe, but the effect is the same.

The CA state pays it’s dues with IOUs which means the recipient has to check with the bank at some later date(s) to see if he can get the cash, i.e. to see if and when the IOU is good !
The German Reichsbank decentralized printed money to the local towns which effectively printed an IOU on the banknote, setting a date for which the note can be cashed.
I presume that this was done ( in 1923 BTW, the late stages of HI ) due to hyperinflation, i.e. by the time they had printed and distributed the money, the face value would have become almost worthless.

  97. MAYAN Calendar 21.12.2012

Slight change of subject .. but who knows, maybe it is very relevant !
A somewhat serious discussion about 21.12.2012 on German TV.
Just a great pity it’s in German.

    Part 1
SECRET TV Meinungsbilder – 2012 und Mayakalender 1-6
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YND0cXrIJCE

The grey-haired guy on the left is a scientist, the guy on the right is a Maya expert.
The scientist says that on 21.12.2012 , a gamma-ray beam emanating from the centre of the Galaxy will be heading directly through our Earth. These particles will or could change the DNA makeup of the human species.

    Part 2
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ebuCrd25G0
The scientist goes on to say that these gamma rays will not necessarily do “physical” harm but may actually change our “psychological makeup”. He mentions a paper published from the 1930s on this subject.

The Maya expert mentions that the gamma rays hitting Earth will be not as significant for Earth as it will be to changes to our Sun ! Mentions sun-spot cycles going crazy and the sun getting stronger; thus having a major effect on the earth. ( The Mayans understood the cycles of our Sun ). Mentions that human conciousness will change .. we will become more receptive to “non-material” levels of conciousness.

The scientist goes on to say that there “will” be change, but nobody can say exactly what that “change” will be ! Suggests that the “era of egoism” could change to an “era of more collective awareness” .. or words to that effect !

    etc. etc.
Quite interesting to say the least !

I like having a personal consciousness. I don’t like blustery ole men telling me I have to share it! The things Science is discovering now have been know to the shaman for centuries. Scientists just deny the feminine and rush full speed ahead without regards to balance or propriety, IMO.

Now the crotchety codgers will decide it’s okay to believe things that they burned people for speaking. IMO. Because they DISCOVERED it. Like Columbus. We have a mandate from the Queen to run roughshod over the universe.
    IMO.

    Part 3 … ( forgotten )

    Part 4
… mentions the “expansion of conciousness” will be a Quantum-Jump for the human race. A new “frequency” for life , a sort of Finale or Crescendo. The “wires” of our nervous system be on overdrive and there’ll be changes to our neurons (brains/neuro-transmitters etc.).
The scientist reconfirms that we’ll have a much more “collective” conciousness ( my Ed: a bit like the Borg I suppose ). The “change” will be a matter of perception .. some will see it as good , others as bad.

    Part 5
… the scientist mentions that he has been studying the effect of radiation on human cells for over 30 years. Coincidences led him to start researching the 21.12.2012 cosmic change. The “seed bank” is mentioned as being specially placed under the Van Halen Belt ( for protection I presume ).

    Part 6
… says 21.12.2012 is NOT the end of the world, but more of a new beginning !
Mentions the current collapse of the financial system…. we will be woken up !
The “information filter” that our brain currently uses to protect us from “information overflow” will change for the better.

Dr. Dieter Broes is the scientist and Martin Strübin is the Maya expert.

    PS:
I apologize in advance to M&S for this OFF TOPIC, but in Part 6, they homed in in the current display of “total egoism” displayed by the “humans” of our financial system.
