Glasses on…oops….typo…SPONSOR….
@veritas
mmmmm….it was the flu….kinda petty!… life would be so easy if we only concentrated on the things we have no real control over….yeah it’s all a conspiracy, it’s all the fault of something out of my control, that’s a disease i’d really hate to catch… so first world war deaths are much less important than the flu epidemic that followed? (50 mill flu deaths and over 20 mill that died from typhus outweigh the 10 million war casualties? America influenced hitler, south africa and others with it’s basic genocide model. So, if it wasn’t for those pesky diseases america would be one big happy family right now… native americans would be the majority and still in charge. Americans make me laugh – so obsessed with defeating the british if it wasn’t for the help of the indians and the slaves america wouldn’t even exist. ’40 acres and a mule’, ‘return of your ancestral land’…. seems myths and lies have always been the american way…Peace
And now aquick word from your sponcer….
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skFWsc_-i14
Max & Stacy, you should deal with the science & facts as regards the die-off of native Americans and not the irratrional identity politics. Natives died off because they had no immunity to our diseases and that was tied to their blood type. That’s the science. Sure there were Indian wars & some massacres, but that’s not the whole story.
Reject myths!
@Doug Walker – holy cow! where are you a cab driver??
I listen everyweek if i can but missed most of this last show due to my cab being shot at. I talk a lot to my passengers about the stuff i hear on the show and pass your name and web stite on for them to check out. Over the past few years the truth about markets has become my bible.
Doug
The “nobel savage” is a myth. I don’t deny what the evil white man has done but I also don’t believe that the indians were innocent, they just lost in the evil game. I don’t defend the evil that white men have done but all other men are just as evil. People from all nations throughout history have proven themselves to have the tendency to evil, even children. Given the “freedom” men will be …. evil. Real freedom is personal responsibility…. The American Indian male did not and does not, like the average “white man”, want that. They did want “freedom” to ride and hunt and continue to drink and fight…. The elite want it all and will do anything to get it. And some just want a sofa, beer and TV remote. So, depravity is depravity no matter what race.
Has anybody got a link or the name of the video max talks about at the start of TAM0407, that is about the three city states of Washington, London and the Vatican?
I want my dividend!
I think the discussion of non-recourse loans is very important. Note that this pertains to Fanny/Freddy, who are owned, in a big way, by China. If US citizens are now beholden to Chinese landlords, then Max’s prophesy, heard in this song:
http://whitey.cf.huffingtonpost.com/
will come to pass.
@fs
Nice….we are all ‘shadow bankers’ I suppose..cockney Rhymning slang for…..
@Supergeek:
I never heard it put that way! Very cool. Like mirrors…Faulkner said the consciousness is a ghost looking in a series of backward-facing mirrors.
See there you go…..the the bigger picture is a picture within a picture etc everybody knows that.
@Supergeek:
Is it easy to teach? Listening is superior to emitting. But how can you be sure there is only one big picture?
Reading, Writing and Arithmetic etc…..are kinda easy to teach, but there could be a reason they don’t teach listening…probably messes with logic and so promotes real communication. Better people spend time looking for words or phrases they disagree with than trying to connect and seeing the bigger picture.
@Dedo:
Locke assumed a unified theory. Interesting how the first two species are separate and then he includes them in the third…
Science now does not ask what man OUGHT to do.
great quote!
@Frances,….John Locke quotes it better than I could:
All that can fall within the compass of human understanding, being either, first, the nature of things, as they are in themselves, their relations, and their manner of operation: or, secondly, that which man himself ought to do, as a rational and voluntary agent, for the attainment of any end, especially happiness: or, thirdly, the ways and means whereby the knowledge of both the one and the other of these is attained and communicated; I think science may be divided properly into these three sorts.
Good God@Supergeek: did they access the devil’s private number already? I wss not aware…:)
I do worry about high frequency trading, ghosts in the twitter machine, future shock, chaos induced butterfly effects…..etc etc etc…what’s it gonna be maths key to the universe…or maths decode the devils private number and get personal…who knows…reminded me of this……
There are three kinds of mathematicians:
those who can count and those who can’t.
There are two groups of people in the world;
those who believe that the world can be
divided into two groups of people,
and those who don’t.
There are two groups of people in the world:
Those who can be categorized into one of two
groups of people, and those who can’t.
@Dedo:
That is what Jacques Derrida postulated in his book Of Grammatology. Unfortunately, I don’t think this is being proven true in time, do you?
Have you heard about semiotic language? It’s all quite interesting (semiotic is like music or the cycles of the seasons)…The British have British English standard: the smart idea to claim propriety over language. I think it’s fallacious: language belongs to the common man. But it is interesting how the new tyranny looks set to standardize language as a property of the state, marginalizing personal applications.
Do you think the answer is tolerance and respect? We seem to be headed the other way.
Also: hieroglyphic languages are fascinating and how man advances with regards to the differentiation between phonetic and hieroglyphic.
The technology you were talking about is Coldfusion its going to change everything!
Strap on your seatbelts its just round the corner, money will shrink in the free energy environment.
@Stacy:
“as one of the things that I noted was that if Americans had to live with the wildlife of elephants and wildebeest and giraffes and hippos ranging across the plains in the US . . . how many think they would still be there?”
To which Americans do you refer? Is the assumption here that Americans are led by an anglo-saxon contigency? Are we referring to tribal origins of the people in power or to a form of government? To say that white=predatory is racism. The latest meaning for racism in common language is that racism can only occur when the group in power (white) dominates those that have not power (brown). I don’t agree. I think racism is racism.
Seems to me that the British have not been actually accommodating to native people or animals in their prior quest for dominion (the sun never sets). Latin American governments sell out their people as common practice….etc
IMHO those in power abuse those who don’t have power, be it abuse of people or abuse of animals.
And why do we never hear that the nasty derivative trade was carried out in London, through the AIG auspices of course.
Look, we Americans are only people, nothing more or less. The language of science is what enabled people to advance common to a higher level of abuse: the derivatives were, well, derivatives. That is why I asked about math being a changeling language.
@frances snoot – I believe many non-monotheistic religions, in fact, do not practice violence toward animals as many of them are living spirits or gods; India has many communities that eat no meat for religious reasons and many hunter-gatherer tribes kill animals with respect for the life demonstrated in the ritual and with a regard for the balance of nature; when we were watching Ken Burns documentary, that was one of the things that I noted was that if Americans had to live with the wildlife of elephants and wildebeest and giraffes and hippos ranging across the plains in the US . . . how many think they would still be there?
@Frances,…..I agree, our language doesn’t really work. Maybe something like maths that is harder to misinterpret would be key?
Goodness, Dedo, I was sure I was the ego-driven monster to whom Marcus referred! I do tend to leap to assumptions and I’m too direct!
Concerning Max’s comment and the originary names of the buffalo (because Bison IS an arbritrary category, albeit a scientific one) it is interesting to consider what effect language has to play on culture. Is language an extension of cultural norms and behaviour or is language a modifier of cultural norms and behaviour. Renaming the bison/ta tanka to buffalo meant a propriety for the englishspeakers, and a refusal to accept the belonging man has to nature and to the balance of the habitat.
Math is a language too. Divorced from the tongue, not phonetic, and uber-powerful?
@Frances,….well said,…!!
@Marcus:
What I don’t understand, and I think vegetarian is preferable, is why people ignore the fact that animals are often savage to each other. And Stacy: the myth of the noble savage died with Rousseau, didn’t it? It seems that it doesn’t matter what race: man is cruel to animals and to people because that is man’s nature. Agreed that the financial meltdown was a blue-eyed led phenonemon; not agreed that somehow if we can paint everyone one color life will be aisey.
If you find someone offensive, Marcus, by all means blast them, or me, or whomever. But people are all bound by ego-constraints. I think the worst perpetuators of criminal acts are those who would be good doers: they often work at the bequest of the few baddies.
” animals are important and more important than the kind of fuckers who post here.”
People are animals.
@supergeek ,..Thankyou ! [as for my comments, present company excepted,naturally ! ]m
@Marcus,……hey, we’ve all got to eat!,…be it meat or veg’ ,..they’re all living organisms.
Did you used to watch cartoons as a child when the animals were anthropomorphised,…just wondered.?
in britain in the first world war soldiers as part of their regular training were taken to the abattoirs to practice their bayoneting on live animals. something that seems to have been all but forgotten by the history books.
@marcus
Yay welcome back, missed ya Man…..Remember a dog is a womans best friend too.
@ phil … Thankyou for making the petition about animals to sign available as that is is truely worthwhile. people who think that what happens to animals is merely a trivial issue sicken me.people who think that because you care for animals we are some how being ‘sentimental’ need a good kick up the arse,sadly there are some people like that here on this blog [that is why i stopped posting ],too many large ego’s on this site for me. Franz Marcs painting` ‘Tierschicksale’ or ‘animal destinies’ makes the point that most animals sadly come to a violent end of some kind . people should think more about what they eat but don’t as they cann’t handle the reality of what’s involved ,it’s all a part of the gutless world that we live in. research ‘ huntintgton life sciences ‘. animals are important and more important than the kind of fuckers who post here. “a dog is mans best friend ,it is a pity that man is not a dogs best friend “
so he should have bin called Bill the ta tanka or Bi shee Bill
Take no notice of me….go back to whatever it was you were talking about….What do I know….I even think ‘The Matrix’ was a pile of sub standard pap aimed at 12 year olds with ‘outsider’ fantasys…and don’t get me started on ‘Bladerunner’….I’ll put my sunglasses back on and bask in the illuminated glow of the regular ‘Maxites’ have fun…….Peace Y’all.

@maxkeiser – yes, it makes sense; they were just trying to be friendly to the violent white man maybe
I would like to point out something/ask a question
I don’t follow the logic that the Indians called them Buffalos
as clearly that is not an Indian word;
Q:
What is the plains indian word for buffalo?
Answer
In Lakota/Dakota/Nakota it is: Ta Tanka.
In Blackfoot it is: ee-nii
In Cheyenne: hotowa’e
In Cree: moostoos
In Crow: Bi Shee
So it seems that the whites called the bison buffalo and then the Indians, when trying to speak English, used the American minnomer.
Does this make sense?
Can someone explain to me the mechanism that prevents fractional reserve banking going instantly out of control by banks interloaning and each time creating 90% more doing this at on the electronic environment surely the money supply would instantly hyper inflate, so what check stops fractional reserve baking instantly going out of control?
@dedo:
EXACTLY.
and was it not morally correct to bring the family to watch christians being fed to lions back when!!
@Supergeek,……personally I’ve got no heroes, never had any, sort of the odd one out.
But I’ve bin told that most folk are given their heroes,gods,leaders to follow!
@Mr. Supergeek:
I disagree that Martin Luther was a ‘great people’ but otherwise, you are so right to point out we ALL are human!
@dedo
Mmmmmm……orgiastic dissipation….adultry, alcohol abuse, drug abuse, food and monetary waste etc..human beings/mammals….Martin Luther…John Lennon…yeah we allow ‘heroes’ to live selfish flawed lives…as long as they have some moral accomplishments…. even Max sez he sleeps soundly and doesn’t feel bad about his babylonian tendencies because he also is doing his bit with TAM etc warning or trying to “Tell The People” …..So maybe Y’all need to stop fretting about the way the masses live and realise all of us are only human and if we only do something morally correct occassionally then we are as good as the heroes that we place on pedestals.
John Lennon, Martin Luther – great people but buggers to live with…….
@Dedo:
Yes. And I read that psychopaths process information differently because their brains are wired to bypass affective thinking zones.
I’m going for Roddick!
@Frances,…I was told once of a test to discern a psycopath from a not psycopath.
First wire them both up for an electric shock on the countdown from 10 to 1 (when reaching 0 the shock would be administered), and monitor the heartbeats.
psycopaths heart would stay constant!
who’s gunna win the mens final at wombledon ?
place your bets!
@ Dedo…………..do you think that’s why he was killed, (because he was in a position to speak to the world) and he did?
Absolutely. He had a voice and the ability to put into words how screwed up the world was/is in a way that the people understood. Who knows what would be different if he was still alive and had spent all the years in between telling the people how to fight back. I guess he would have made a difference and that’s why he had to got rid of. His song ‘Imagine’ was surely an outrage to the elites – how dare he talk about peace, love and brotherhood and the whole world getting along. Love is the enemy of the elite, a huge threat to their agenda and probably the only way back to sanity and decency and peace.
@MotherEarth
“It is all about ridding society of psychopaths, although it seems there is always the spycho waiting to take the lead.”
We have to be tolerate to other people, lest the ones in power decide to be intolerant to us. Who decides what psychotic is or isn’t?
I say, punish the crime, not the motive. Who can prove what thoughts lead to what actions? The government over here is about to penalize people for ideologies that the status quo decides are extreme.
It is awful that man has such brutal tendencies. Denying people freedom to speak or think will not root out the weeds, it will destroy the foilage.
@sharon,……do you think that’s why he was killed, (because he was in a position to speak to the world) and he did?
Excellent, I really enjoyed the banter. Lots of talk about peasants which reminded me of John Lennon’s song: A working class hero (I’ve posted lyrics below – I wish I’d heard/seen those lyrics when I was much younger; life would have made more sense).
Re: Democracy – Plato said something about democracy being only a step away from tyranny. And as for voting, our previous London mayor (Ken Livingston) said: ‘If voting worked it would be made illegal’. So many wise people have given us the hint but noooooooooo, the vast majority continue to live in denial.
Working Class Hero
by John Lennon
As soon as you’re born they make you feel small
By giving you no time instead of it all
Till the pain is so big you feel nothing at all
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
They hurt you at home and they hit you at school
They hate you if you’re clever and they despise a fool
Till you’re so fucking crazy you can’t follow their rules
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
When they’ve tortured and scared you for twenty odd years
Then they expect you to pick a career
When you can’t really function you’re so full of fear
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
Keep you doped with religion and sex and TV
And you think you’re so clever and class less and free
But you’re still fucking peasants as far as I can see
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
There’s room at the top they are telling you still
But first you must learn how to smile when you kill
If you want to be like the folks on the hill
A working class hero is something to be
A working class hero is something to be
If you want to be a hero well just follow me
If you want to be a hero well just follow me.
@Mother Earth,……I’ve never really understood the Karma concept !! care to rationalise it?
“Can someone show me a model for paying back all levels of government in the US 22m USD over 30 years keeping the tax brackets kosher…”
Lock Madame Pelosi in the White House broom closet.
@M’n'S
One of the things I have always really loved about your shows is the wide variety off topics you discuss and your emotional unpredictability….it makes you a lot more real than the rest….as I have said before don’t change…..last night was laid back for sure I lasted bout 20 mins and fell into a wondedrfully deep slumber on the sofa….Max ‘s voice can do that to me sometimes…..cheers…woke early up started to read the comments lots of repitition nearly fell back asleep….. I don’t drink alcohol, don’t smoke and caffiene is a no no…but I’m gonna need some help gettin’ through this weekends content…..wait two american mormons knockin at the door…gotta go play….Love..Y’all
It is all about ridding society of psychopaths, although it seems there is always the spycho waiting to take the lead.
Or it is inherent in our ability to immitate that we can mentally ‘morph’ into another species that is predatory towards our own (e.g. an extention of racism).
Buddha advised not to become an agressor but wait for someone that already is one to come along, so the intact karma would no be lost.. All part of his eugenetic vision..
@Phil,….do you think you may have bin cultivated to think like you do? maybe
@Dedo … “have you ever asked yourself why you are so shocked,.and they aren’t ?”
Yes of course.
It has something to do with egoism … their inability or unwillingness to put themselves into the mind of the animal being tortured.
Somewhat similar to how we buy meat from the supermarket without ( wanting to ) facing the thought of how animals live in the misery of mass-breeding.
@Phil,…..have you ever asked yourself why you are so shocked,.and they aren’t ?
@Dedo … ” Man ”
Yes, I was going to revise that to “White man” , but there are atrocities outside the realm of the white man profiteers that should also be considered … as in the Korea article just posted !
@Stacy ..
In case anyone doesn’t know, something that is just as shocking is that in Korea , dogs ( often their own pets ) are strung up and beaten with a wooden stick until they are dead in order to increase the adrenaline before cooking !
This was shown in a German documentary some years ago … a shocking sight that one will never forget .
The Treatment of Dogs and Cats in Korea
http://www.gopetition.com/petitions/the-treatment-of-dogs-and-cats-in-korea.html
@Phil,.I wouldn’t say “man” as a generalization is the cause, maybe the idea of profit is the motive?
@stacyherbert
Thx Stacy .. I tend to be too lazy to write the whole story ( and thus shortened for the beef ), but the description is accurate – except that it doesn’t mention that the Govt. was a willing accomplice !
And yes, it is SHOCKING and disgusting; as is the Japanese whaling “for research” ! Man …. the most dangerous and destructive species on the planet !
Sickening !
Thanks Stacy
@Phil @Dedo – according to the Ken Burns documentary, the buffalo as he and the American Indians interviewed call them were culled at first for the rail companies, as the plains were literally filled with the animal; it then became an easy way to make money as bullets cost 25 cents but the income was $3 per hide; buffalo/bison were similar to elephants in that if you wounded the matriarch, the other buffalo would stand around her quietly and see if she were okay, so the men would easily gun them down; the Indians had vast reservations at this time in places like Oklahoma, however, where buffalo were allowed to roam free as always, then hunters started going down there to kill them and sell the hide; when the Indians fought back the US gave the hunters free bullets to finish off the last of the buffalo
this according to The West anyway
the writings by the Indians the documentary read from were sad; how shocked they were at the barbarism that men would just kill a beast because it was there and just leave the carcasses littering the landscape
@Phil,…I was led to believe that (Buffalo) Bill was employed to cull the Bison for the railroad companies? not starve the Injun! huh
@Dedo “Indians”
As M&S implied in there TAM today, the US Indians were lied to and cheated by the Govt. and Companies that just wanted them out of the way. Most of them were very peaceful people ; the “savage” image was propagated to make killing them off more acceptable.
The occasions where the Indians became hostile were normally the result of direct provocation.
“Schwarzbuch USA” …
… devotes a large chapter to this subject.
But more importantly, the book describes what the US Govt. can do and does to it’s own people , not just the destructive foreign policies !
@Dedo “Bison”
Thx Dedo .. I realize that, but the Amis “always” called them Buffalo.
@Phil,…….goes to show how the mind can be led,….Re; (Buffalo Bill) They’re actually bison! ; )
In the time it took you to read my previous posting, the US government at all levels has given me about 2 USD.
I would so like to flee this sinking ship, to Canada at least….
I have computed my total costs to all levels of government in the US, an exercise everyone in the US should do — and found the governmental costs sum of about 22m USD.
According to my maths, this works out to a 32 year cost of 0.03 USD per second.
http://cbc.am/Total-cost-to-goverment.ods
However, lacking full knowledge of the conventional US tax system I always assumed that based on this number that I would have to adopt a policy of “if an American does not pay me 100,000 USD to acknowledge their existence they are dead to me”
My number above, according to a relative of mine may not be wrong — just badly guessed.
Their quick calculator calculations seem to indicate that I would have to earn 108,000,000 USD (over 32 years, 2009 USD) in order to pay back to all levels of government in the US the 22m USD.
However, I don’t understand the US tax system nor its tax brackets — so I have no idea if their math or accounting is correct.
Can someone show me a model for paying back all levels of government in the US 22m USD over 30 years keeping the tax brackets kosher…
In any case, I am quite poor — I don’t have 100,000 AUD or NZD to spare to immigrate to Australia or NZ where the finances might be more sensible.
Funny Audio : The Great American Bubble Machine

The Taibbi article is normal HTML .. rather than PDF format.
@M&S .. “The American Indians”
Yes, if this is anything to judge the US Govt. by , then G*d help us.
There were originally 40 mio. Buffalos until the US Govt. decided to exterminate them all to starve the Indians to death. When the slaughter stopped, they counted ONLY 10,000 that had escaped the slaughter.
Tells you something about “Governments” !
American Hero : Buffalo Bill .. LOL !
@All .. great posts & links today .
@Dale Sarna … thanks for the link to “Die Sanctus Germanus Prophezeiungen”
The site has a full PDF in German :

I haven’t found an English link to the full article yet.
May someone has one ?
What time UTC do you record “Truth About Markets NZ”?
If you are doing this in the wee hours, this may be why your show rambles on. Some thought needs to be put into the ergonomics of when and how you do your NZ show to make it workable and effective.
Although I live in British Columbia, I essentially live in NZT.
M&S You kinda represented the two sides of the spectrum of possible responses, becoming suicidal (stacy) vs. becoming homocidal (max).
@max Thinking about money: You could say it would be profitable if one could buy up credit card debt directly. So someone that is creditworthy, now paying 15,5 or 21 percent interest, you pay the debt, you ask 2/3rds of that interest. That would yield more than 10%. I guess this is blocked by the state that considers the debt payoff income, so one needs to find a way to frame the payoff as an investment that is tax deductable..
@max If you unlock this option you can offer decent interest rates and help out at least 15 million citibank creditcardholders. Does that count as dividend?
@GB
Nuclear is used as a blocking option, it is expensive, it puts money in the hands of heavy industry, it will run out very quickly.
Focussing on infrastructure is a way to siphon of billions to the concrete pouring kartels. They are extortionist maffia that fix prices. Why not use technology that is lying around, like my solar concept, of ammonia as fuel.
Oil makes plastic, but plastic can be ccracked into oil using microwaves. Another example of a ignored inverntion. It would make the pacific gyris rich oilfields..
The reason why some people do not do anything is because of fear. They do not want the fed on them. The income tax keeps them from rebelling. Another reason why many people do not do anything is because they don’t want the government to fall because they don’t want to loose their military, social security, medicare, GS, contracts…. $$$. The government is so far into the livelihoods of the people that they, understanding enough without excuse, decide to ride the wave until it crashes – all the while hoping to wash up on the beach.
@Giuseppe Bagodonutti
Nice post, very interesting. My experience in talking with my countrymen is that a handful are rightfully pissed off and the majority begin a mental process once I hit certain key trigger words.
The process starts with a glazed over look as if they are recalling the meaning of that word say “patriot” and the negative connotations that go with it as broadcasted by the mainstream media: i.e. militia, para military, anti government! Then when they have processed this much the mental chatter takes precedence and they look for the exit and try to say something witty o ease the tension that they feel for having encountered a “terrorist” (only by today’s media standards). The whole experience is saddening and maddening at times. But then there are the others who I meet on rare occasion who are open and as equally pleased to meet another Human Being interested in self preservation.
Thank you again for your interesting post.
Regards,
Don
Here is a great spiritual book that predicted all of this.

Very accurate. Most accurate book written about the financial crisis.
@Giuseppe Bagodonutti
” Earth Abides” looks like an interesting read. Just read the synopsis on Wiki, and will add to my ” classics” reading list.
thanks for the heads up..
cheers.

Sorry.
I refer to AIG inquiry.
I watched a bit of that Liddy senate inquiry on the G.S.666 site shown on this page.
All he has to say is “I can’t recall”.
Oooooooh scary politicians.
BTW who was the CEO before Liddy? He got out at the right time(8 months previous) Maybe they should be questioning him!!!
He is obviously ‘in the know’.
http://www.ronpaul.com/2009-07-01/auditing-the-fed-will-audit-the-state/
Auditing the fed will result in an audit of “the state”…
So, the answer is the same.
We are commenting on the situation.
But are we doing anything or are we so disenfranchised that we have no power whatsoever?
I agree with what you are saying but thats where is ends.
This is just what all the Germans who disagreed with Hitler were saying too. So what.
I sent an email to our countries previous treasurer 3 years ago saying that if the world continues on its present course we would be left with half a dozen bankers living an a scorched earth.
These guys who are ‘in the club’ aren’t gonna change the status quo, and they are the powerful ones.
All we can hope is that they get so greedy they end up eating themselves.
Keep up the fight.

“EARTH ABIDES” (one of my fave post-apocalyptic books)
The American experiment is officially over. We now live in a sort of quasi-capitalistic version of the Soviet Union, where the press parrots whatever the financial Politburo wants declared as the truth, where most of the businesses that matter have been effectively nationalized, and where the wealth of the nation is made off with by those running the place. Kind of like an African or Central American nation, where the treasury is looted by whoever is leaving power, only to be replaced by a different corrupt regime also intent on looting whatever prosperity was missed by their predecessor.
Turns out this time wasn’t so different after all. Human nature hasn’t changed much over a couple hundred years, which is the average life of a democracy.
Last one out, turn off the lights…..Happy 4th of July
Man, that show was bleak!
Here’s another dose of reality
CynicusEconomicus — Economic Reality: The World Got Tougher
http://cynicuseconomicus.blogspot.com/2009/07/economic-reality-world-got-tougher.html
This is a story, first and foremost, of right and wrong, of David versus Goliath, and of morality versus socio-pathology. Of a criminal elite whose ivy league laurels lie comfortably next to blood-spattered switchblades. Predators who make no distinction between the worst of the worst, and the best. Truth be told, who view anyone stupid enough to battle for good to be imbeciles and rubes. They view themselves to be superior, and thus, immune from rules and laws. They are the masters of the universe, and we are the food, the irritants, the unwashed herd baying superstitiously at an ominous moon we neither understand, nor have any control over. We are beneath consideration as anything but grist for their mill.
The big lie is that we live in a free and superior society. I think a more accurate description is that we live in a consumer driven society, where our freedoms have been gladly traded for gadgets and jargon and slogans. We have traded the Bill of Rights for ipods and hybrid vehicles and brown-skinned people we can all agree to despise. We conveniently ignore evidence that we are now in the final stages of the Roman Empire – our dollar is basically good for stuffing pillows and wrapping fish, we feel completely powerless against our ruler/masters, and we are satiated with spectacle rather than outraged by injustice. It’s not a positive state of affairs, and we have exported our living on borrowed time to the rest of the world, which is just now awakening to the idea that Wall Street is willing to sell its soul for a few good bonuses, and subject the entire planet to outsized risk if it means a 25-year old Wharton grad can drive a Maybach and lease a Citation X.
@Neo-Feudal etc.
Yes, people don’t see things until its too late.
The answer to your question is a question…… “What is anyone doing now?”
In 20 years people will be asking on Max’s son’s website…
“Why didn’t anyone do anything in 2009 about the world financial system?”
The world keeps spinning the same.
@Neo-Fuedal Casino Gulag Plantation Economy Minion
I never understood how past generations could allow things that were obviously evil to take place, without rising up and protesting, without stopping it. It never made sense to me. How could Germany have allowed, and then celebrated, the Nazis? How could the Pogroms have taken place? The killing fields? How could Russia have become a black market society? How could North Korea prosper as an international menace of terrorism sponsorship? How could we have committed genocide against the Indians, breaking every treaty and outright stealing their land, again and again?
The answer is simple. Nobody did anything to stop it, or too few did. The money was too good in taking over countries, or grabbing power, or abusing populations, or financial predation. It pays too well, and you can buy ink by the barrel to cover it up, or spin it, or call it something it isn’t. You can lie to all the people all the time, and if you are thorough enough, it works.
Last one out, turn off the lights.
“”The two longest lifespans on Wikipedia belong to smokers. If non-smokers are so healthy why does the record not belong to them?”"
Ummm, because COINCIDENTALLY, the two with extremely long-living genes are smokers.Longevity is a function of cell reproduction and an internal trigger.
However, if you want to see statistics on how smoking CUTS SHORT lifespans through COPD, Heart disease, artery hardening, stroke… (and the list just runs right past lung cancer and Far beyond) then do some simple googling.
Smokers are also STINKY. I can’t get within ten feet of a smoker because they reek so bad…

The two longest lifespans on Wikipedia belong to smokers. If non-smokers are so healthy why does the record not belong to them?
Smoking is just a scapegoat so the food industry and the automotive/petroleum industry can pretend that they aren’t behind the rise in lung cancer.

RE: the 95%
Manly P. Hall, in his book “The Secret Teachings of All Ages” says on page CCIV (he had a thing for Roman Numerals)
“Ignorance of ignorance, then, is that self-satisfied state of unawareness in which man, knowing nothing outside the limited area of his physical senses, bumptiously declares there is nothing more to know!”
I guess, in this case, the “limited area of his physical senses” could be interpreted as the navel-gazing, MSM watching mentality…
But there are so many “voices in the wilderness” TRYING to open the eyes and ears of the American Populace, that I find it very difficult to believe that there can be SO MUCH “ignorance of ignorance”…
if it is brainwashing, then that is a miracle of modern science…
Bow down, PAVLOV… Modern day America has you TRUMPED…
@Giuseppe Bagodonutti
“How about a GOLD Colostomy Bag ?”
Yes, good thinking. Would make a for good projectile during civil action.
Max I trust that you are being cynical and overwhelmed by all the madness.
I believe that people in the US are not rising up because more than 95% of them are brainwashed and have not the slightest clue that their government, their churches and every other “institution” work for the crooks, their minds are run by these bastards.
Planing the big escape.
Don
Sound money…by way of state secession is the only way to get the govt and banksters out of control.
@WL
How about a GOLD Colostomy Bag ?
Woo lets all look at the pretty fireworks and celebrate our own slavery!
Its sickening.
Also great point about Indian reservations.
GOLD GOLD GOLD The colour for the next US revolution. Forget the greens, oranges and plaids, ITS GOLD. Wear a gold tie, bra or whatever.
The peasants must rise.
@BW
Where’s the mount for the Mini-Gun ???
or is there a secret flame-thrower that pops out of the hood ornament (like the Rolls-Royce “Spirit of Ecstasy”)?
Max Keiser arriving at global outdoor banking convention with his new invention to go after corrupt bankers!
Thanks for not disappointing us dude!

You going to be real artist now.
This show Max turned from Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde!
“I want my dividend”, boy, in one way its so pathetic.
Stacy, i like you, cause you seem to be mentally more stable then Max, so take care of him.
Ok i will write more tomorrow, cause its to late.
Bye you all
@Mother Earth
RE: Sustainable way of Life…
4th generation Nuclear Reactors, and ELECTRIC vehicles…
MORE LRT’s (Light Rail Transit)…
and National MAG-LEV Trains (instead of Jets)
Turn the interior waterways into highways for commerce…
Oil is good for making plastics though…
But what government has the balls or insight to build-up the infrastructure?
Last time I checked, the answer was zero…
(although, China might be making moves in that direction…)
@Max Wouldn’t it be interesting to latch on to events like the Citibank interest rate hike (12,5 to 15,5) vor 15 million people in a Karmabanque kind of way? Could there be a counter proposition based on the money people now have to pay extra (3% of $9000 on average makes $22,5 per month) ?
@Stacey Don’t you believe there could be a sustainable way tp live the way we do today (by replacing oil by an alternative)? What is a hard argument for the mad max scenario in the long term (if you exclude any destructive banking conspiracy) ?

As Zappa said,
“The Crux of the Biscuit, is the Apostrophe”
and the apostrophe in this show is the point where Kaiser Keiser says,
“So how do we make money on this?”
I agree, sir, that if American Society is going to be apathetic to the robbery and general injustice being applied to them, then PROFIT ON THE DESTRUCTION…
You can’t tell me that Alex Jones isn’t profiting on all the lunacy going on…
just look at his ADS…
it doesn’t mean that he is evil, but he knows how to walk the line between the Yin and Yang
He’s just out to ensure his future existence…
Look at Peter Schiff, he seems to genuinely care for America, but is he going to “patriotically” invest in America? HELL NO!!!
Just like Mr. Beale,
you can get on your 21″ Colour TV and shout all you want,
but in the end, it comes down to the people RECEIVING the message, and if they choose to do NOTHING and just WAIT for their Big-Electric-Daddy-in-the-Sky to save the society,
then FUCK ‘EM…
Maybe the gene-pool needs to be drained?
the Prison-Casino-Financial complex SHOULD BE PAYING BETTER Dividends…
But it seems they are just capitalizing on the confusion and chaos of the economy/markets as long as they can…
Just as they don’t care about the general society, they don’t care about the general investor…
As for me,
I don’t care about dividends…
I’m the opposite of Jim Rogers (he doesn’t know how to trade)
Show me a 2 cent spread, and some decent volume, and I’m happy…
Maybe one day, when I have $100k+ to “invest”, THEN I’ll care…
(BTW, this “Splendid Exchange” book is quite good… I’m just finishing up chapter one, and have already learned several things… Average wage in the Bad Old Days of Sumer $8000/yr… and Shipping Vessels were hemi-spheres made of wood and Skin… fascinating stuff)
As a heavy smoker i dont appreciate your views on smoking, but w.e.
I buy my smokes from native reserves at 1/12th the normal cost, besides making me unhealthy, its a very cheap habit. And, i feel like im giving back to the native community in doing so.
@M & S : it appears that you are slooowwww talking the sloooooowwwwwwww burn….It must appear to the both of you, and in agreement with recent comments I have posted here….that in fact, the American malaise is so evident that this apparent financial coup d’etat is going so well that it is being hidden in plain sight!!!!! And prolonged well into the unforeseeable future….BTW still enjoy the banter between you on TAM and OTE..
A dozen years ago I sought to discover how the sperm and egg went through history to get to me.
I discovered that the path the light took through history means a lot more than money does, as you know. I hear your conscience speaking through you, and it’s obvious to me that both of you you have not ignored it. The voice that speaks though you has real value, and it helps to lead people to the truth, and I am encouraged by it..
Thank you.
Do the Americans represent anything? Lol
Of course they do ! Goldman and Sacks !!! Poor sods

Happy Tweeter’s Fourth, Stacy!

Only Morgan Stanley and Bank of Mellon could survive real accounting standards. JP Morgan, Citibank, Goldman Sachs and Bank of America couldn’t. JP Morgan has more derivative exposure than anybody.
Happy fourth to all! The PPIP is another ripoff by the banksters. We need Mark to Market back, make those banks take writedowns honestly.
Yes, lets see what “Delights” await us.

Cheers for the Show…..Looking forward to it.
