Poor fella hasn’t had a job in a year – does he realise now he’s become an entrepreneur, with he’s t-shirts and trusted bullion name dropping. A one man advertising machine!
Maybe you need to interview a historian on your shows, for a change. Niall Ferguson, history professor at Harvard, has an interesting take on earlier 19th Century financial and political corruption that leads him to conclude:
“The challenge for today’s mainstream politicians is to convince an angry public that our parliamentary system is capable of reforming itself, as it was in the 19th century.
The alternative, should they fail to do so, is a populist backlash that will not be pretty to behold.”
In news from fiat world…Craigslists in California flooded with offers to buy California IOU’s at 75-85 cents on the dollar. So, California is essentially printing money and it is being traded by speculators. This is just San Francisco.
Isn’t the biggest problem today that those in ‘power’ can’t usurp that power because they are bought pupets for the real whealers and dealers?
It is not the government is broken or anything, government is simply a myth. They should go home. Its time to give responsibility to the responsible (GS, JPM, Pentagon) and see how they like it, instead of this selfassisted misdirection.
@ Mother Earth … I guess they can choose not to be bought. They can choose not to fiddle expenses and not to take board positions on bailed-out banks. But since they have the choice to be corrupt or not, perhaps the system isn’t good enough…. But I take your point too.
@ Danny…………….Flood of Afghan heroin fuels drug plague in Russia (who’s guarding the poppy fields in Afghanistan again?)
Nobody is guarding the poppy fields. It’s one of the reasons the US & UK are in Afghanistan (that and a pipeline). It is the Taliban who reduced the opium output, to the point where prior to the troops going in the amount of opium being exportedd was 80% less than it is now. This trade is familiar to the British Empire……..opium wars in China, for example.
thats exactly the point I’m trying to make. The US is running the poppy fields now! they’re pushing the heroin into Russia/China/Iran and back home. More money for the coffers as well as destroying the public of they’re enemies.
Pushing it back in the US then for the benefit of the prison industrial complex. There are more people in prisons in the US than any other nation in the world.
@ Danny (again)…………………There are more people in prisons in the US than any other nation in the world.
Yes, I heard that there are 3 or 4 times more people in prison in America than there are in China. So here we have a society that is 4 times bigger than the US and one that we are lead to believe is a communist nation with an appalling human rights record. Makes you think doesn’t it?
Hey max I love your new TV show its smashing but you know when you are interviewing someone and their name comes up, it always reads ON THE EADG its been like that for a few weeks.

Did you guys already figured what they really mean with this green-shoots term?
It’s simply more greenback jumping out of everything as a result of massive money printing. Those guys did see it right after all I tell you.

Its never about the values, its about who you trust to adopt them from..

…………..or rather the opium fields are being guarded, but not in order to decrease output.

Hey Mad Max,
Why don’t you have Karl Denninger from The Market Ticker on as a guest.
http://market-ticker.denninger.net/
He tried to go on CNBC in good faith with facts and figures to debate one of the CNBC idiot used mortgage salesman Dennis Kneale.
Kneale claims the recession is over. Karl was ready to debate him. “Now’s the time to buy… these stocks I am dumping.”
http://market-ticker.denninger.net/archives/1200-Follow-Up-To-Dennis-Kneale-And-CNBC.html
Kneale pigeon holed Karl with a straw man about anonymous blogger crap, avoided the green shoots argument and then cut Karl off.
Karl has an excellent blog with solid analysis and almost Max like rants… just say green shoots to him under your breath…
Give Karl 5 minutes in your show. Let him give you the story of the stupidity of CNBC…
