The Bush administration and Congress discussed the possibility of a breakdown in law and order and the logistics of feeding US citizens if commerce and banking collapsed as a result of last autumn’s financial panic, it was disclosed yesterday.
Making his first appearance on Capitol Hill since leaving office, the former Treasury secretary Hank Paulson said it was important at the time not to reveal the extent of officials’ concerns, for fear it would “terrify the American people and lead to an even bigger problem”.

I downloaded the whole 15 part video … nice addition to reading the book.
The book says that he was originally a “Cop” and had to leave after he tried to prevent a Govt. cover-up on drug smuggling. He then became a journalist and book author.
In the Acknowledgements at the beginning , Catherine Austin-Fitts was the first name mentioned in the “thankyou list” … which for me means 100% credibility.

I’m put off by his belief in Malthusian over-population but ultimately central belief in peak oil nonsense. Its interesting how that came around. That said Mike Ruppert is genuine and brave. His life story is inspiring. He always challenged anyone to look into greater detail to what he says. I have and I don’t agree with him on these issues. They always say that about Alex Jones too but I don’t agree. Don’t forget that not eveybody is like you, meaning that some people will fall asleep by a blatant truth brought in a (too) easy way like Janet in the interview above.
Secondly I have same as Max regarding very ourages matters, I say to myself, stay calm, stay calm, but when talking about these outrages matters I get very mad just on the spot which everybody should, acording to my point of view. But not everybody is like me.
Some people are better reached on the Max approach some are better reached on the Janet approach.
May I share an observation, that there has been a noticable shift in the tone of media coverage of the banking system since the media mogul conference hosted by former CIA director George Tennet a week ago. It seems a scapegoat hase been chosen. Even though it’s a blamewothy one, its eventual slaughter may make us forget to deal with the rest as well.
Perhaps the CIA hires ex bankers story was actually supposed to be read ‘bankers attempt to infiltrate CIA’..

Actually, it’s difficult to know what to believe.
I have a PDF from the Uni Salzburg ( Sept. 2001 ) which deals with WW oil and what’s left.
They noted that the only “known” pure oil left in the world is in North Iraq ( what a coincidence ).
OTOH, if you read Lyndsey WIlliam’s book “The oil non crisis” ( which I did ) , he claims that there’s enough oil and gas in Alaska to keep the US running for the next 200 years ; and that the US Govt. has tried to keep this a secret etc.
