Oil could be created by ‘magic pixies’ – but if the damn pixies can’t make it fast enough to replenish reserves (that is, reserves with an acceptable EROEI) we’re still f*cked.

Actually, it’s difficult to know what to believe.

I have a PDF from the Uni Salzburg ( Sept. 2001 ) which deals with WW oil and what’s left.
They noted that the only “known” pure oil left in the world is in North Iraq ( what a coincidence ).

OTOH, if you read Lyndsey WIlliam’s book “The oil non crisis” ( which I did ) , he claims that there’s enough oil and gas in Alaska to keep the US running for the next 200 years ; and that the US Govt. has tried to keep this a secret etc.

Don’t know why your allergic to peak oil.
Fields I worked in were 95% oil 5% salt water now,
30 years later, they are 5% oil 95% water.
It doesn’t matter a shit if the oil is not a fossel fuel it took
hundreds of millions of years to pool will take that long to refill. I know, never trust an oil company, but the cheap stuff is gone.
