Holy crap that was good.
You can’t be forced to get a flu shot if you are allergic to eggs:
Life-threatening allergic reactions are very rare. Signs of serious allergic reaction can include breathing problems, hoarseness or wheezing, hives, paleness, weakness, a fast heartbeat, or dizziness. If they do occur, it is within a few minutes to a few hours after the shot. These reactions are more likely to occur among persons with a severe allergy to eggs, because the viruses used in the influenza vaccine are grown in hens’ eggs. People who have had a severe reaction to eggs or to a flu shot in the past should not get a flu shot before seeing a physician.

Could we lie about it?
@Sharon:
I asked a reporter for a link to the information in the article I linked and she sent me the link! Here it is ( a great source for finding out recent info):
http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/rr58e0724a1.htm
Guess CDC comes out with these periodically. Wonder why they are now called the virus influenza A HINI (swine) flu? The HINI A strain was already resistant to Tamiflu in the spring of 2009. Could it be that the HINI A strain swine flu was ALWAYS resistant to the Tamiflu and the authorities bent the information to profit bigtime? (OOPS dropped my tin-foil bonnet…)

oops, here is the ny times link!
The reason Americans are so complacent about the outright theft that has occured is that the big hit has not materialized yet. The markets are still proped up by Goldman and the Fed along with a temporary continuation of deflationary preasure. The combination has created a temporary lull in the inevitable true correction to come. Money chasing goods(inflation symptoms) will not occur partly because there is no means of getting those hyper-dollars into circulation. Those dollars are being hoarded by the financial institutions. They have been delivered a free breakfast, lunch AND dinner…..and slowly they are pumping up the markets with these ill gotten dollars. This is just another form of money laundering. Americans have no idea. Plain and simple. Keep up the GREAT work M and S…..keep spreading the truth.
Regards,
Joe
I was wondering if the term “…going back to sixteenth century…” was a dog whistle for Bankers?
Since the Bank of England was set up in the early seventeenth century.
@sharon – not scientific, controlled experiment, but from my observation in the eurostar carriage in which I traveled to Paris, there were about five, maybe 6 Brits that kept sneezing, over and over the entire journey . . . i kept thinking of that story about the french villagers telling the school children to return to their ‘disease ridden country’ . . . could just be um hayfever or something but if these sneezers have swine flu, then I’m sure I will have to come down with it as their germs will have just been circulating in our closed carriage . . . I was half expecting hazmat wearing ‘welcoming committee’ at gare du nord
@Sharon:
It is not specific to any one country: this is the new protocol. It seems Asia is more closely aligned with WHO dogma. Some children from Florida were also quarantined in China and treated to the spacesuit scenerio:

The swine flu is not even supposed to be called swine flu! (you can’t get it from pigs) but it is not scientifically studied..this is about mass hysteria and the media encouraging superstitions (like wearing face masks!) It is a win-win situation for the governments and the pharmaceutical industries…lose-lose for us.
The CDC refuses to release any more numbers: deaths or those who are afflicted by HINIswine. The aim seems to be to confuse flu and swine flu so that all the shots can be delivered.

The authorities want people to get three shots: the current flu one and two HINI swine ones! The above article claims that lowering the count for the HINIA flu will keep swineHINI suseptible to Tamiflu…but this is what the NY Times had to say:

@frances snoot………thanks for the links. The 1st one re: HHS sounds very much like ‘common purpose’ in the UK, ie. how to control the grass roots – not nice! Your 2nd link re: swine flu and the setting up of a swine flu hotline in the UK reminded me of a recent article about a school trip taken by British 14 year olds to France. Unfortunately the French seem to think that the British have all got swine flu so they were subjected to quarantine during which men dressed in space suits (or the medical equivalent) went through the process of removing them from France. On their way out the 14 year olds were further subjected to abuse from some of the locals who shouted at them to “get back to their disease ridden country!”. Charming!…..so that’s the gratitude we get for saving their asses during the war (only joking). The British were also recently quarantined in China (and possibly elsewhere) – seems like we’re developing something akin to leprocy.
@Dedo………..you make me laugh, you’re so full of mischief.
@Lord Rothschild – Thanks for the video. LOL. When did Hank ‘the hammer” turn into Hank “the stutterer”. He sounded like he was doing his best Porky Pig impression. “Th-th-th-th-th -that’s the economy folks!”
@stacyherbert – Yes, I can’t believe I watched the who-o-ole thing. NYTimes provided a live blog of the Paulson testimony which is useful for following the proceedings. Frankly, I was hoping for more from the hearings. But the format of 5 minutes per congressperson is not really conducive to in depth probing. We really need a Pecora style hearing to uncover all the shady dealings and then follow up with criminal indictments. I’m not normally in favor of witch hunts, but when the economy is being run by men doing there best Harry Potter imitations it seems appropriate.
“Pecora’s investigation unearthed evidence of irregular practices in the financial markets that benefited the rich at the expense of ordinary investors, including exposure of Morgan’s “preferred list” by which the bank’s influential friends, including Calvin Coolidge, the former president, and Owen J. Roberts, a justice of Supreme Court of the United States, participated in stock offerings at steeply discounted rates. He also revealed that National City sold off bad loans to Latin American countries by packing them into securities and selling them to unsuspecting investors, Wiggin had shorted Chase shares during the crash, profiting from falling prices and Mitchell and top officers at National City had helped themselves to $2.4 million in interest-free loans from the bank’s coffers.”

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant and vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition! The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it’s my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.

Why is it that those who would change things for the better are in the minority whilst those who would lead us to destruction are in the majority? Will we eventually be judged to have been the least successful species on planet earth?
Max & Stacy – you are definitely in the minority, but please keep changing things for the better. Perhaps with people like you we can become the majority that will lead all others to salvation.

@Frank Hope – I watched the three and a half hours of testimony too; I think the length of it helped Paulson enormously because clearly most journalists and, indeed, most bloggers clearly couldn’t be bothered with watching the whole thing, but there is a load of great stuff in it, was hard to select the five or six clips we had time for.

Hi Max, Hi Stacey,
You know what strikes me most? No coverage on this gargantuan scandal here in Europe.
After viewing your interview with the professor from HEC, reading the Joy of Sach by Paul Krugman, The Quiet Coup & Who Nationalized Whom? by Simon Johnson, I certainly thought the world be on fire. Nada, nothing. That’s not amazing, that’s very, very, very scary!
Anyway, the reason I post this comment is that I might have an excellent idea how to inform leading intellectuals here in Europe and quiet possibly in the US.
Could you give me an email so I can share my thoughts with you? Thanks.

Great show, Stacy in top form.
Max, I’m sure you realise that the ICC only goes after Bosnian Serb & Congolese generals, i.e. the small fry. Just like the UN, they’re completely useless in bringing the big mass murderers to justice and in any case as someone has already said, the US is not a signatory so you’ll never see US politicians in the dock unless it’s an American one (which I doubt very much also)
What about Angelina Jolie kissing & hugging US troops in Iraq. Almost felt physically ill when I saw that. A UN goodwill ambassador kissing the soldiers of an occupying army? And then she has the sheer gall to go and visit Iraqi orphans, most of whom are the very victims of said occupying army. She’s a bloody disgrace.

Cool….TAM on the Telly.
Look who funded it and look at how it was established. Just say no.
From wiki:
The foundation of The Hague as an “international city of peace and justice” was laid in 1899, when the world’s first Peace Conference took place in The Hague on Tobias Asser’s initiative, followed by a second in 1907. A direct result of these meetings was the establishment of the world’s first organisation for the settlement of international disputes: the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA). Shortly thereafter the Scottish-American millionaire Andrew Carnegie made the necessary funds available to build the Peace Palace (“Vredespaleis”) to house the PCA.
After the establishment of the League of Nations, The Hague became the seat of the Permanent Court of International Justice, which was replaced by the UN’s International Court of Justice after the Second World War. The establishment of the Iran-US Claims Tribunal (1981), the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (1993) and the International Criminal Court (2002) in the city further consolidated the role of The Hague as a center for international legal arbitration. Most recently, on 1 March 2009, a U.N. tribunal to investigate and prosecute suspects in the 2005 assassination of Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri opened in the former headquarters of the Netherlands General Intelligence Agency in Leidschendam, a town within the greater The Hague area.
Currently, The Hague is the world’s second UN city, after New York.[1] In line with the city’s history as an important convention center and the current presence of institutions such as the ICJ, The Hague’s city council employs a city branding strategy that aims to establish The Hague as the Legal Capital of the World and the International City of

This is a GREAT BOOK. I couldn’t stop scrolling……..
http://apfn.org/apfn/reserve.htm
Those that don’t learn from history………..
From Page 162
“Extinguishing reserves means wiping out a basis for money and credit issue, or, tightening up on money and credit, a condition which is usually even more favorable to bankers than the creation of money. Calling in or destroying money gives the banker immediate and unlimited control of the financial situation, since he is the only one with money and the only one with the power to issue money in a time of money shortage. The money panics of 1873, 1893, 1920-21, and 1929-31, were characterized by a drawing in of the circulating medium. In economical terms, this does not sound like such a terrible thing, but when it means that people do not have money to pay their rent or buy food, and when it means that an employer has to lay off three-fourths of his help because he cannot borrow the money to pay them, the enormous guilt of the bankers and the long record of suffering and misery for which they are responsible would suggest that no punishment might be too severe for their crimes against their fellowmen.”
AMEN!
This guy is still alive….interview HIM!
“Eustace Mullins is a veteran of the United States Air Force, with thirty-eight months of active service during World War II. A native Virginian, he was educated at Washington and Lee University, New York University, Ohio University, the University of North Dakota, the Escuelas des Bellas Artes, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and the Institute of Contemporary Arts, Washington, D.C.
The original book, published under the title Mullins On The Federal Reserve, was commissioned by the poet Ezra Pound in 1948. Ezra Pound was a political prisoner for thirteen and a half years at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Washington, D.C. (a Federal institution for the insane). His release was accomplished largely through the efforts of Mr. Mullins.”
I want the bastards tried and fried right here in the USA. Supporting the hague or any other “world court” feeds the nwo globilisation plan. No UN. No world court. Otherwise great show as always guys.
Hi Max and Stacy,
Great show. I was beginning to think that no one had watched the Hank Paulson testimony. I took the time to watch the whole thing on CSPAN. You both make a great point at the end of the show about the American public being in shock. I have a couple of comments about that.
One is that this is what Naomi Klein talked about in the “Shock Doctrine“. It was only by creating a crisis that Paulson and Bernanke were able to convince the American Public to turn over their hard earned money to Goldman Sachs and the rest of the Wall St. Banksters. And BTW, this fits in nicely with your comparison with Pinochet in Chile, because Naomi Klein speaks specifically about that situation and how it relates to Friedman’s neoliberalism. In fact Friedman himself referred to this as economic “shock therapy”.
Second I want to bring to your attention an article I wrote a few months ago titled “Twilight and breaking dawn of civilizations”. Here’s a quote that I think you’ll greatly appreciate.
“No wonder it seems that America suffers multiple personality disorders. Our government is run by psychopaths that systematically psychologically abuse us from the time we are children. Most of us can’t confront the truth. We can’t see what is happening before our very eyes.”
I hope both of you will take the time to read the full article. Keep up the great work. As you know I have been a fan for some time. It’s great that your message is getting out there on the internet. Even the MSM has begun to jump on the bandwagon. If all of us on the internet continue going after Goldman Sachs, they will eventually have nowhere left to hide. I have just one question I keep asking myself… Is Hank Paulson “too big to jail”???
President Vaclav Klaus, an outspoken critic of the European Union, slammed Friday the bloc’s leaders as well as its planned
policies aimed at preventing future financial crises.
In a newspaper interview published Friday, Klaus said top EU leaders had frustrated
him during the EU summits under his charge during the Czech Republic’s recent rotating half-year EU presidency.
‘When I sit there next to Mr (Jose Manuel) Barroso, (Javier) Solana and other gentlemen, it totally drives me
crazy (to hear) what they say,’ the Lidove Noviny daily cited him as saying.
‘These are empty phrases prepared by their advisors. These are sentences that do not tie one with another,
the jargon of international politics that lacks substance,’ said Klaus, who chaired top-level EU meetings with Japan, South Korea, China and Russia.
The president also wrote in an opinion piece for Hospodarske Noviny daily that the EU has abused the global economic
woes in order to seize control of the members’ economic policy.
He said that planned EU-wide regulatory bodies, the European Systematic Risk Board and the
European System of Financial Supervisors, would weaken national financial regulation and economic policy.
‘This so-called new model of European financial supervision covertly aims to centralize economic policy of
the member states, and that behind the backs of their executive and legislative bodies, outside the framework
of agreements, the European Commission or the European Parliament,’ he wrote.
In the Lidove Noviny interview, Klaus also said German Chancellor Angela Merkel could not be moved by ‘some male charm’
and he questioned whether she had ‘really’ experienced what life was like under communism.
Merkel, then a scientist, had lived in communist East Germany before the country’s reunification in 1990.
‘I tried to (show) her that we understand each other after all. We are the only ones who lived under communism,
so we can tell the phoniness of this sham Europeanism,’ Klaus said, recalling their conversation on the failed
European Constitution. ‘She did not take the bait, I have to admit.’
‘I am not sure whether she had really experienced communism,’ he continued. ‘Whether – on one hand a parish and
on the other hand a chemical institute – there (was) not some sort of immunization.’
He also said that Merkel, unlike former British premier Margaret Thatcher, has not followed ‘an ideological
compass’ in politics.

Actually, don’t quote me on Prof Niall Ferguson saying that. Perhaps he was quoting what Friedman said. Anyway, it’s in ‘The Ascent of Money’ the doco made By Prof Ferguson. A worthwhile viewing imo. It doesn’t delve into details as it’s a long subject, but some very good background info on the rise of fractional reserve banking and the explosion of financial weapons of mass destruction since.
Executives Receive One-Third of All Pay in the U.S.
http://www.alternet.org/blogs/peek/141481/executives_receive_one-third_of_all_pay_in_the_u.s./
very good point about sovereignty.
could the result of all this lawlessness be more support for a one world government and more control (even though it is all manipulated already and therefore already “under control”), while of course goldman etc. all get away with not giving the money they stole back anyway?
that way the trillions are lost, the economy is gutted, and on top of that, rights and sovereignty are lost as well.
Prof Niall Ferguson said Friedman’s effect on the economy may have helped pave the way for democratic elections that removed Pinochet. I really don’t know much about it and no doubt it’s debatable. But really, without sound money, there’s nothing sustainable about free markets, and privatising for the sake of privatising ends up as theft from the public. And in the end a free market may be as practically impossible as communism, but what we have at the moment is a central planned economy by the big banks and their cronies in reserve banks. The lines get blurred between the banks concept of a ‘free’ market and the ideal of a free market. The difference between banks in charge of the economy and people in charge of the economy. We’ve definitely gone to the extreme of that spectrum, can you guess which way
Great show. But alas, too little, too late, from our congress critters. All of these jokers voted the wrong way and they are just doing these tough words to Paulson to placate their extremely vexed constituency.
They’re all doing their version of Max Keiser, but I continue to like Max and these congressment only make me dislike them more. There are purchased puppets and bad actors.
I personally believe in the sovereinty of the USA and I want these criminals prosecuted in the USA under the supreme law of the land, the Constitution, NOT at the Hague.
These days you could have a full show every night of the week and just run stories on what Goldman Sachs did that day. When the next leg comes I wonder who has the targets lased on them. Will Goldman pre-emptively take out any other banks that may be involved in cap and trade?
Great show, lol @ the special effects. nice touch.
Congressman Grayson is saying the same as Max.
He is just at the opposite end of the emotional spectrum.
Nice job. Now the bad news:
Congress is taking a month off in the middle of no single payer coverage. Name one Congressperson that has to deal with “pre-exisitng” conditions. They have unlimited sick leave at full pay (Kennedy being one example).
Yes, they’re economic war criminals. But look at Cheney and the rest of those war criminals. They run around totally free. The MSM hangs on every word they say. And they’re STILL making millions.
Which means, nobody cares. Because if they did, millions would be arrested and overflowing in D.C. jails.
Bank of China to offer Home loans direct to UK public!
Bank of China, the world’s third largest bank, has started offering mortgages to credit-starved British borrowers at rates that undercut many of the deals available from established UK lenders.
The bank, which has previously focused on Chinese communities in the UK, wants to become a household name alongside lenders such as HSBC and Barclays.
The experience of taking out a Bank of China mortgage will not be quite the same as that offered by the traditional UK lender.
In a nod to Chinese belief in the auspicious nature of the number eight, the bank has had a mortgage arrangement fee of £888, though it this week switched it to the more recognisable figure of £995.
It will insist on meeting each new borrower personally before offering them a loan, and will fund loans from its own capital reserves, a conservative approach that was once the norm in UK banking but fell away in the fervour of the latest housing boom.
Mortgage brokers said its tracker rates ” available for homeowners and buy-to-let customers and starting at 2.5 per cent above the base rate ” were among the best on the market and should go some way to relieving the shortage of home loans in the UK.
The bank is beginning its mortgage business slowly, discreetly marketing its rates through four distributors, including Savills and Legal & General Mortgage Club.
Brokers said the emergence of such a large lender was welcome at a time when the mortgage market had suffered a significant contraction of supply.
“We are not saying this is suddenly going to fix the shortage of funding in the UK market, but it should be seen as a positive signal when a bank of this scale is willing to enter the market,” said Mark Harris, managing director of Savills Private Finance, the broker.
The bank is expected to initially lend fairly small amounts but could rapidly expand its loan book. It said there were opportunities to expand by attracting high quality business from the wider UK market.
Analysts believe foreign banks are in a strong position to lend in the UK as they have healthier balance sheets and do not have back books stuffed with high-risk loans.
“The UK is likely to be relatively attractive for overseas lenders who can access funding,” said Robert Law, an analyst at Nomura
