“The Egyptians had the great pyramids in the Valley of the Kings we have the great pyramids of debt created in the canyons of Wall St. These are now permanent features of the American and British financial landscape that have effectively turned Americans and Brits into debt slaves.”
It seems like slavery will never end. When one form is found out, it is mutated to another form. Sometimes people will never figure out they were slaves. Maybe it is from all the excessive alcohol they consume.
Like the Priest-king known as the pharoah, the moment the dual role was split, like Samuel the prophet of god anointing the Saul or David, the bankster are the priesthood of the day, anointing the Obama’s of the world. The more things change the more they stay the same. The slaves have been fooled once again. Alex Jones may say NWO.. I say the same old same old.
Talking Heads
Is Stacy the Tina Weymouth of Economics?
Sorry, I went off topics, I mean the other talking heads.
The ‘Experts’.
Here’s a link to Stanford Professor Robert J Flanagan about his new book “Globalization and Labor Conditions: Working Conditions and Worker Rights in a Global Economy” (Oxford University Press, 2006),where he discusses the implications of global commerce for nations and national policy.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JS4EoFPUv50
HIS evidence SHOWS their is no Race to the Bottom. His presentation on youtube is posted 27 February 2009.
I thought, “here we go, prof sits in ivory tower, keeping the faith and the party line”, but I was polite in posting my comment. As usual a couple of typos but essentially all I said was his book would be looking at EVIDENCE during an artificial boom and so is imcomplete.
My comment has been removed. He has had 98 views and my comment was removed. Need another account whereby I will leave a super positive comment and see if he just generally removes comments. Probably his accolites will be monitoring the post anyhow whilst he polishes the ivory.
My Point: These guys are human and flawed like the rest of us, they build a career spouting one dogma and it becomes psychologically impossible for them to suddenly have their eyes opened to any other reality. They need putting on the road to Damacus.
Like Nobel prizes for derivatives equations. This link I haven’t read I just searched and found something about Myron Scholes.

@Stacy
I’m all for health care reform in the US, but in Holland your treatment is not guaranteed as well. The insurance companies give quota’s to the hospitals (10 bypasses, 20 cancer treatments) and when the hospitals run out the patient has to wait or look elsewhere. This has come about because the insurance companies have a strong lobby here. It is still way better organized than in the US.
If older people eat less, drink a glass of wine a day and exercise a bit they will live longer and healthier. I never get that their treatment (hip replacements and bypasses) is done by the same system of general healthcare. There need to be short trainings for these specific procedures so you get low cost doctors. Apparently helping people requires financial coercion. Same for medicine. The debt issue with US eductation is just obsene, in Holland I can become a doctor with next to no debt.
Our stupid minister now changed the law so doctors can be suspended pending investigation. That will prove to be a mistake because every doctor comes across hysterical people in his carreer that blame him for the death of a family member. I never get people won’t accept any risk when other people are responsible.
GO, MAX, GO!!! GO, MAX, GO!!! STACY, TOO!!!
And I thought Matt Taibbi was cool… dude, even HE admits on his own blog that you hate Goldman more than he does!!!!
NAIL THOSE VAMPIRES!!!! NAIL THEM!!!!
Of course, the big problem with the American press is two-fold:
1.) As Overstock.com’s CEO always points out, the financial press in NYC is far too close to the people they’re supposed to be reporting on to be anything even resembling “objective”, as exemplified by the Gary Weiss/SlimVirgin debacle.
2.) The rest of the American mainstream media is controlled either by their corporate backers, who are in on the Goldman game and profiting from it, or by sponsorship ie: not wanting to offend advertisers. It amounts to the same thing. We don’t have journalism in America, we only have “Infotainment”.
I LOVE YOU, MAN!!!!
My blog has been offline for a bit while I did some cool things to the backend (btw, your karmabanque radio url is having some kind of issue, it won’t display, you should look into that pronto, hey why don’t you get the paperwork to declare yourself a “Market Maker” so you can blast out trillions of naked shorts on those nasty companies like Goldman does, the DTCC would cover for you I’m sure since they won’t even admit that naked shorting exists lol) but I plan to feature you prominently in the first article for v1.1, somehow.
DECAPITATION!!! YES!!!

@Stacy, To be honest I didn’t even know about the PNAC. Scary shit regardless if one believes in it or not. The mere existence of these “policies” is scary.
How can we rise to oppose such terrible forces that are at works now? It would be an epic achievement by any measurements, considering people are zombies, in my estimation 99,999% of the people are already dead in their minds.
p.s. all of max’s interviews on alex jones’ show were GOLD.
@Stacy
thanks. I’m hoping people will stop believeing in the fake conflict between the dems and the republicans. on each side, when they get into office they throw a few crumbs to their supporters but nothing really changes. truly the transition from bush to obama was seemless. when i saw obama’s appoinments to the govt. i was pretty surprised.
jones had been reporting the planned use of US troops in the US for months if not more than a year now.
they sure did a damn good job of smearing jones in MSM over that kid who killed the policeman who actually hated jones.
cheney and his buds certainly seem more “whacky” than alex jones could ever be.
the less open minded we are the easier it’ll be for them to do their business.
@gb – agreed also with what you are saying; I try to remain open minded about any idea, even the crazy ones; or especially the crazy ones; I for one thought there is no way US troops would be used on US soil, so when that information just emerged it kind of surprised me; also, there are crazy sounding documents like Policy for a New American Century, if you read it, it sounds like listening to a wild conspiracy show . .. but if you look at who wrote it, then it’s hard to tell who is the crazy
the beginning of my post was
re: about alex jones, max might seem etc.
@Mep
re: max also might seem a bit emotional to some not to me!- if you take into consideration what is going on, a sane response would be to yell quite a bit!
plus, a good 90% of what he reports is true. a lot of it really does come from government documents. even if you don’t like him, infowars.com is a good source of info that you can use to find important news articles. still better than most sources. time will tell how right or wrong he is about some stuff. i do not exclude that he may be right about eugenic goals. just look at the whole swine flu/vaccine story.
Is this chart for real?
http://www.chartoftheday.com/20090724.htm?T
hows it calculated?
@Rasta & @Jeannon Kralj – sorry about the moderation queue at Huffpo; It is a pain, but I know spam is a real massive problem . . . we struggle with it here
@Mep – well, while I think he can be a bit, let’s say over the top, re: that “influencing” the kid who murdered the policemen – there are several responses to that – - first, many people are ‘influenced’ by voices they hear in their head and nobody can account for all the members of their audience being whack jobs; whack jobs have been inspired by everyone from jodie foster to marilyn manson to do crazy things; secondly, that guy also watched Fox News and other media that ‘influenced’ him to act; re: AJ, the comments the police found the murderer had posted was that he didn’t like AJ because his site deleted any comments that were anti-semitic;
re: their wacky ideas about health care; it is obviously over the top, but the fact is that certain health care measures for the elderly are rationed in that the collective health care system needs to finance health care for all with a set budget; so if a 95 year old needs a knee replacement, the NHS will generally not cover that; that doesn’t mean however that you can’t also have private insurance, or that you can’t pay for your own knee replacement operation (and the savings you would have made in not having to buy expensive health insurance for decades would help) . . . and finally private health insurance has refused to cover far more life saving operations than the national health service ever will . . . you will never ever find an example where a 40 year old woman is denied breast cancer treatment because of some acne she had as a teenager, that’s for sure
The US is going to be like Japan. All the men will become herbivres there too..
Prime example of why some of us view Alex Jones as a whackjob:
http://thinkprogress.org/2009/07/27/gohmert-conspiracies-alexjones/
Nice to learn that he had some influence on the kid who murdered those three Pittsburg police officers.

here is something i recently wrote
[dedicated to the independence of independent minds, the french people, the strangely unreasonable phenomenon of forgiveness, 'culture', integrity, the truth and the work of max and stacy]
He was ravished by the force of her sharp beauty, as she stood there, by the window, blearily gazing down at the village beneath them, nestled between and at the bottom of, the Great Enduring Alps, which, with all their solemn might, not only encircled the valley in which Gerhard and Camilla resided, along with their destitute peasants below, but which also, ultimately, transgressed the experience, and actual existence of, all human consciousness: with or without them, they indifferently would remain. Part of a greater wisdom, a higher order humans could never understand; they didn’t punish or reward or even judge at all. They just simply were.
Camilla then glanced up, and the sheen of her moist emerald eyes absorbed the sparkling snow caped peaks. As she rested against the dark brown grains of the wooden window ledge, with the neatly manicured red nails of her long fingers attached to her petite hands, dangling loosely and idly outside, in the cool quiet windless air, above the steep drop, which cascaded in all its rough and natural beauty, through rock and gravel and dirt and weeds, small flowers and ants and insects and bees, downwards towards the village…the supple, innocent tenderness of her smooth slender arms, frozen in motion and with tiny hairs on end, was captured and abused, tortured and mangled, victim to the dark, savage, opaquish black of the shadow cast over her, by Gerhard’s towering body, as he watched her in silence, standing by her side, drowning out her light. To Camilla, all the deep sullen oranges of that Tuesday afternoon, reflected in ricochets across the valley, seemed to mean nothing. Her life was the same, no matter what. There was no escape. Her inevitable trajectory had by now long been finalised, her energy to fight depleted. Figuratively on her knees, she soon would collapse into utter hopelessness; there was not long to go now. Yet still, she could not help but comment on the aesthetic wonder of that day’s glory, now aimlessly lost in the sun drenched horizon. It was this, her apparent vulnerability to and appreciation for these two dimensions, the world’s light and Gerhard’s darkness, opposites though similarly beautiful, he thought, which made Camilla perfect in his interpretation – a sustainable force that balanced him out, or so he thought. But the devil, as usual, was in the detail.
What Gerhard never realised though Camilla always knew, was that the mere existence of that afternoon’s oranges, streaming across and down from the wonderland of mystery that humans call space, appreciable solely through the eternally fragile and irreconcilably anarchical gift of human consciousness…represented something far more profound, some indecipherable enigma far more universal and righteous, honorable, dignified and everlasting than what either of them could ever amount to, individually or together. It was, Camilla knew, precisely because of this that balance between nature and man was unattainable, reflected aptly in their own relationship. Though at certain points in time glimpses of both were indeed possible, in the end it was one or the other, light or darkness, total subjugation or total domination. Survival of the fittest, Gerhard would have said.
Of course, Camilla never sought to expound upon these thoughts in the presence of her husband, for she knew what he believed and that his opinions could not be swayed. With all his mental fortitude, into which he had long ago locked himself, Gerhard believed implicitly, without even a moments thought, that the shadow of man was more noble and great than the light cast down upon it. Camilla, naturally, knew otherwise. For her, Gerhard’s shadow was as much an inadvertent distraction from the loveliness of the panorama now before her, as it was her protection to enjoy peacefully these such wonders of her universe. And it was this, her tragedy. ‘We are never so much the victims of another, as we are the victims of ourselves’, she whispered to herself, recalling a conversation she once shared with her now dead friend Julius.
Abruptly, Gerhard read aloud a passage from John Milton’s Paradise Lost,
The mind is its own place, and in itself
Can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven.
What matter where, if I still be the same…?
Better to reign in Hell than Serve in Heaven.
Camilla felt ill.
New noises from below arose as some farmers yelled across a pasture to each other. She tried to force out from her mind the sorry, futile plight of those common men over whom she continued to lean, with one part endearing curiosity and two parts irrational fear, warily eying them off, as they slowly mulled about, monotonously carrying out their daily routines which, in due course, to the contented bemusement of Gerhard, served and indeed only existed for, the eventual benefit of their leaders, their masters, their demanders and controllers, like bees in a hive or cattle on a field, formulated to exist and subsequently sustained by, the keeper or the farmer, as a means to an end. To achieve his own personal aim.
Gerhard spread his thick fingers apart and firmly dragged their blunt tips down the middle of her back, from the bottom of her neck down to her waist. He then left the room. Torn and confused, she unshackled her tears and began to sob, and not one single person on Earth heard or saw her weep, as she climbed out onto the ledge.
NAB To Buy 80.1% Of Goldman Sachs JBWere Private Wealth
Last update: 7/28/2009 8:30:21 PM
SYDNEY (Dow Jones)–National Australia Bank Ltd. (NAB.AU) will pay A$99 million for an 80.1% stake in Goldman Sachs JBWere’s private wealth management business in Australia and New Zealand, the bank and Goldman Sachs JBWere said Wednesday.
The private wealth business will be branded JBWere, with Goldman Sachs JBWere retaining the remaining 19.9%. JBWere will become a portfolio business of NAB’s wealth division
The alliance includes a distribution relationship that allows Goldman Sachs JBWere to distribute certain products to JBWere on an exclusive or preferred basis, the two said. National Australia Bank may make an additional performance-related payment for JBWere depending on revenue generated by the business over a period of three years.
JBWere said it has more than 22,000 active client relationships, assets under advice exceeding A$38 billion, and funds under management of around A$10 billion. The contribution to National Australia Bank’s earnings isn’t expected to be material in the first year, it said.
The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to be completed by the end of 2009.

Liked this sentence very much cause it’s true in a way and I thank Max for learning me about the inside of Wallstreet which is much more valuable than many MSM yada, yada bogus.
“ResonanceFM is a musicians cooperative listened to primarily by bong smoking squatters in Shordditch who, by virtue of the fact that mainstream American and British media chose not to cover these crimes left open a niche for us to cover, have become preternaturally knowledgeable about fraudulent Collaterized Debt Obligations, Special Purpose Entity Accounts and High Frequency Trading Arbitrage. Many of these pot heads thank me today because many of them put their meager savings into gold bullion as we have been suggesting since 2002 — which shot up 40% against the British Pound last year.”

My comment on the Max’s Huffington Post article.
Machiavelli said that a man is likely to forget the death of is father sooner than the loss of his entire fortune. Unfortunately both will come true if the healthcare system doesn’t get it’s ethics straighted out soon against people like Machiavelli.
And I haven’t even started talking about fortune and ethics. It seems to late for that anyways. The MSM isn’t on the edge like Max and the alternative media is which is very worrisome. The MSM should realise that if they dear to look the future generation straight in the eyes.

The “rounding error” part was my particular favourite.
PS I think Lewis’ “Liar’s Poker” has to be the most entertaining book about finance I’ve ever read.
In the FRONTLINE investigation entitled “Breaking The Bank” I found it interesting that Paulson was so adimate about Bank Of America going through with the buy-out of Merrill Lynch. It seemed aparent to me that Paulson must have informed Goldman Sachs of the deal and the fact that Merrill Lynch had huge hidden debts that would in turn damage Bank Of America’s stock price. This would give Goldman Sachs insider information that they could bet against Bank Of America’s stock value(Naked Short Selling?) When Bank Of America wanted to back out of the deal…..this jeprodized Goldman Sach’s directly, so Paulson forced Bank Of America to go through with the deal.

News is only as meaningful as it’s recipients are willing and able to take action based on it. The internet’s ability to disseminate information broadly and cheaply is more than offset by the manufactured illness of the individuals it reaches. Even foretelling news reads like an epitaph.
