Hank’s inflated reserves, China’s fake data, America’s underwater mortgages & Murdoch’s unfree online news

Stacy Summary:    It seems perception of health is being pushed harder and harder everywhere, while most people in reality are sinking deeper and deeper underwater.  By the way, Max is going to be on France24′s Face Off again today.  Last time, we had the “Goldman Sachs are scum” viral hit.  Lord knows what this one will bring . . .

Stacy – this last story about Bandar is four days old, but has not been reported in one single Western media source; if anyone finds any other reporting of it and/or a confirmation of the story, please post in comments!

  1. Here’s something interesting about the coup in SA. The Pakistan Daily publishes an article today that asserts the coup has backing from the US. http://tinyurl.com/lbt8kk

  2. Iran might have made up the Saudi story to make the kingdom look weak. it might be BS

it has lasted more than two months, they fight hard in hope of keeping their jobs at the factory.

  4. Regarding protests (which many of you were commenting
on recently), in Milan, Italy, four metal workers just spent their third night on a platform 20 metres high above the factory floor of Innse Presse – an enginerring company. They refuse to come down until a buyer is found to save the factory from closure. The plant is in the process of being dimantled. There’s virtually no media coverage of this. I just heard about it last night around midnight on Rai3 late news. These workers are d e s p e r a t e but nobody is listening to them!

  8. If Murdoch wants to begin charging on his sites it is his full rights to do so. Us people can only try to advice against it. But when he does start charging I hope all people will boycott his sites sending the strongest message to him and others that most likely will follow him up and start charging on their sites too.
Good journalism cost money… is that the reason why all I see from fox are the opinion makers acting as news presenter?

@Stacy: on “.. Murdoch blowing his children’s inheritance…”…well, that may be the result but truly I think that since he is but a propoganda piece for the inner circle…he may wish that the type of “news” he prints or now on-line too is so perverse that only the idiot clientel who would/could pay for it deserves his particular line of “facts” anyway…After all does he promote that there has been a financial coup d’etat?? or that “goldman sachs are scum”…or that “hank paulson is a suicide bomber”??? or the many maxism’s like “8-9-07 is financial demolition day”?? Obviously, no…..he merely posts that the system is working, that the status quo is fine, that the “leaders” have it all under (their) control…etc…so why get bent out of shape…after all we already pay for cable news in the USA…FOX NEWS…he pays out millions to the likes of Glenn Beck for that dribble…and we pick up the tab as well as the advertisers…so he has a bottom line mentality…someone has to pick up the slack…the reader!!! Maybe we can convince him to use hemp paper instead of pulp wood….for his periodicals..HA!!!!

    Re; Bandar Bush story.
I heard Webster Tarpley on Monday talking about it. He said its too early to tell but he said this could be a sign the Saudi’s are running away from the US alliance and into the arms of the Russians. I think its a case of the rats jumping off the sinking ship.

It’s quite the powerful science,..Public Relations (Propaganda), so much so, folk are unaware they’ve been, ever so slightly, incrementaly “persuaded” to think the way they do. And folk on this site get upset, cause the masses don’t understand what’s going on!
I say if you want to persuade someone to take their medicine, don’t force it down,…just disguise it as something else, in little doses. : )

  22. @Max and Stacy
I think this is very important and a great subject with huge implications as it gets into the heart of the matter. It could be worth a debate with parties of interest, such as GATA, the dealers, physical ETF dealers and others liabilities. It would be great to expose the truth as this may help protect some people.

    When I read
    http://fofoa.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
    and I read
    http://goldnews.bullionvault.com/bullionvault_gold_etf_etfs_072120093

I do not understand why anyone would want to use ETF’s for gold, ok they have liquidity but this still does not justify the risk and loss of benefit from owning the physical in my mind?

    Where am I going wrong?

Why would anyone armed with this information risk their own or anyone else’s money, given its cheaper to own the physical without the counter party risk? I suspect the risks could be quite large with ETFs if FOFOA is correct?

I would love to see you debate this with other interested parties over a table for a hour or two. With other commodities a ETF may work for the majority in normal times but I think Gold could prove to be a exception?

“Rupert Murdoch said quality journalism is not cheap and so he intends to charge for all his websites. ”

Go right on, Rupert the Red. Anything that will facilitate the ruin of your lie machine and your personal ill gotten gain is A OK with me.

In the USA, it is so clear to many of us that the “transfer of information system” is nothing but a propaganda, mind control lie machine.

“Quality” journalism means truthful accurate relaying of facts. That has been missing in action for well over 50 years.

I do all my reading of the news on the web. The web is being threatened too and the quality of the web journalism is unfortunately going down to, much of the degradation being by deliberate design of those that took down paper and TV journalism.

Congressman Oscar Callaway’s February 8, 1917, Congressional Record article described what happened. (Volume LIV, page 2947). He wrote:

“In March 1915, the J.P. Morgan interests . . . got together 12 men high up in the news- paper world and employed them to select the most influential newspapers in the United States and sufficient number of them to control generally the policy of the daily press of the United States.
These 12 men worked the problem out by selecting 179 newspapers, and then began, by an elimination process, to retain only those necessary for the purpose of controlling the general policy of the daily press throughout the country. They found it was only necessary to purchase the control of 25 of the greatest papers. The 25 papers were agreed upon; emissaries were sent to purchase the policy . . . of these papers; an agreement was reached; the policy of the papers was bought, to be paid for by the month; an editor was furnished for each paper to properly supervise and edit information regarding the questions of preparedness, militarism, financial policies, and other things of national and international nature considered vital to the interests of the purchasers.”

“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manip- ulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of.”

  32. Sorry to be a hog at the moment but I just heard this on the 7pm nightly National News in Australia.

    “A new study finds……”
That is all I ever see or hear regarding MSM news.
I am soooooo sick of it.
They aren’t journalists, they are PR people who recieve press releases and churn them into a poxy story.
That is CORPORATE REPORTING and is NOT journalism.
We spend a lot of time making ‘Video News Releases’ by corporations and hope the nightly news can find some space for them.
    It is pathetic!
Sure the internet means these guys are under a lot of pressure to come up with content on a continuous basis, but don’t pass it off as news please.
This system of information transfer you have on this site is way more advanced. Hence the TV is on in the background and I learn more here by Far!
    Cheers.

  33. There are a lot of overheads for poor Rupert, all those fiction writers, plastic surgery women with dental work dont come cheap. Maxkeiser doesnt look like he has “work” done so he can give out his info for free!

  34. This is kinda good news.
WE WANT these ‘Media Moguls’ Gone!
And real people like Max and Alex, etc can be read on a larger scale.
This is it. I guess we should be encouraging Rupey to quicken the process.
Just like Geitner, these people start squeeling when things are going bad.
Murdoch is always visiting his old home, Australia, giving speeches about how we need to be flexible to survive in the new economy.
Well have a look at you now, Rupey.
    Start bending!!!

  35. I’m pretty sure that either Murdoch is trying to blow his children’s inheritance or he is senile. Can’t think of any other explanations for MySpace and now this . . .

  36. @Steven UK “Quality journalism is not cheap,” said Murdoch. Does he try to make money in the funny business as well? The guy hasn’t the faintest idea about what internet is all about. And quality is just a word he learned but doesn’t realy know the meaning of. Cheap propaganda language which could be expected from a intelectual cheap fellow mellow.

  37. Well who needs the Times? Who the heck they think they are. This Murdoch is outtof his mind. Nobody will visit his nihilistic little scrabble site anymore, you mark my words. It’s pathetic yada, yada nobody wanted to read anyways, he can keep the bloody crap.

  38. @Mike/Liverpool
    Correct.
If Murdoch thinks he can bully people into reading his rubbish and pay for it too he is only going to increase the massive drive away from his shite papers and into the sort of news material you guys put up here.
There is an unlimited amount of REAL NEWS out there, so why would we pay for the garbage Murdoch serves up?
He will lose money and political clout, so just fade away Rupey.
    Ciao.

  39. “Quality journalism is not cheap,” said Murdoch.

Quality journalism is also absent from his Tory tit rags, his fascist news channels and his fairy tale financial rag.

Go ahead and charge for your propaganda and celebrity puff. I won’t be paying you for that. I can’t afford it because the BBC already charges me £130 a year through my licence fee for pretty much the same thing.
