August 10, 2009
On March 17, 2008, the day that Bear Stearns failed, international journalist Max Keiser interviewed officials at the Bundesbank, the German central bank. Keiser’s report, released just a few days ago, contains a stunning admission. Toward the end of his report (posted at http://www.youtube.com/wa…), Keiser stated, “The most fascinating thing I’ve learned is that all the gold in Germany is in New York.” ….
They are not EVER going to allow Gold to be free, if they did it would end their power over night.

@Mike2liverpool
I agree with you but if the market is manipulated what is the point of investing in precious metals?
@TroyOunce … “what is the point of investing im PMs”
Simple …
a) Total system breakdown
Gold will be the only thing left that people trust.
You can buy your daily bread with it.
b) Near System breakdown
Same as above , except your daily bread won’t be “so” expensive !

Just a minor correction on the UK story (I know it isn’t you who should be corrected but rather the guy at ICN). It’s the Tamiflu that’s making the children sick, not the vaccine.
You’re right about story # 7 – very interesting! And we are to believe that swine flu was not man-made? Yeah right!

Hard on the heels of Novartis, Sanofi Pasteur has charged into the clinic with a new swine flu vaccine designed to capture a big chunk of a brand new, multibillion-dollar market.
@ sharon swine-flu is not man-made. If it was man made then it would be harmful, not the mildest flu ever. The fact that it is so mild show us how the hype and nonsense in the MSM is driven by profiteers. And the best thing you can do is get a dose BTW, before it turns nasty this autumn (fall to you yanks).
@Phil Cooll post and a cool scoop for Mr. Max and Stacy….
I bet all the Germans are refering to your video, can you imagine… do a follow up for fun!!
Where did all the Gold GO!! or who got our gold? lol.
I bet many Germans would like the FED etc audited too?
Where is it? The only good think is someone got it and its probably very safe and hidden, but who?
Dengue,..The WHO says some 2.5 billion people, two fifths of the world’s population, are now at risk from dengue and estimates that there may be 50 million cases of dengue infection worldwide every year. The disease is now epidemic in more than 100 countries.[

@Nic Abbott.re: swine flu is not man-made.
I beg to differ. There is alot of evidence out there that says it is. There are many doctors/scientists who say it is. There is a lawsuit going through at the moment saying it is. There has been loads of info/links on this forum regarding this issue. If you want I can get you the links again (I already posted some, as did others). I agree with you that it is mild at the moment, it may mutate and become more dangerous later in the year. But I don’t think that is evidence that it wasn’t man-made. One may ask well if it’s mild what did they get out of it? Loads and loads of money, another vehicle for scaring the people (always a good one for maintaining control) and as I say we have yet to see the full implications. Then, of course, there is the vaccine. Who knows what that contains, besides the usual recipe of toxins, metals and other undesirable ingredients.

Re: the above post on the Townhall meeting and that poor man with his disabled son. I would just like to add that there is another serious issue here – the suppression of emotion. Have you noticed how we are not supposed to get emotional even if it is well and truly justified? Seems to me that the masses have been brainwashed into hiding their emotions – this is not healthy imo. I agree with what Youri said the other day in that sane people do show their emotions because it is natural to do so. If someone or something causes you to experience anger or grief why is it wrong to express that? We’ll be told how many breaths per minute we’re allowed to take in before long. The world has gone bloody mad!
Last point: I remember a time when it was the norm to sympathise with those who were less fortunate, that doesn’t seem to be the case so much anymore, it’s more of a dog eat dog world now. Although that could be changing as I think people will slowly begin to realise that the best things in life are not things.
@Sharon
Actually, in the nicest possible way, I really don’t care
if it is man-made or not. Because we agree about the rest of your points, which are all very important. Don’t forget to find someone who has it and catch it off them

Here you can see how Paulson messed up. Bearstearns had to be punished and even more so Lehman Brothers. So, fu*k the people. Later they payd much to much for some other companies from taxpayers money? This is crony capitilasim on it’s worst rampage with Paulson as the big make believe gangster boss.
People interviewed don’t know their head from a hole in the ground calling Paulson their big daddie master with Geithner as his cunning little Robin. What a laughing stock, the whole damn system was rigged anyways.

Maybe that was your ‘emotions’ talking….
Seems like there are two Sharons posting on this site – will the real one please stand up!
the town hall mobs…
as listeners to our radio show these past four years know we’ve been waiting for the ‘global insurrection against corporate occupation’ for quite some time..
the current dissent in the US is the beginning of the beginning
the folks showing up at town hall meetings have not focused their attention meaningfully yet.
they are without meaningful direction, imo. And without meaningful direction they are easily swayed to attack the interests of the enemies of the insurance and banking industries.. or the FIRE economy as eric jantzen call it; finance, insurance, real estate.
what could put these folks on a more focused path will be the announcement in the next few months of round two of a multi-trillion dollar bank bailout program.
it should be pretty obvious by then that the entire US treasury bond market is an enormous ponzi scheme that, when shut down, will leave the top 1% in good shape and the bottom 99% in dire straights… by design.
to stop the madness three things could be tried, none of them will be tried however because all attempts will be ‘golf shirted’ before they can work:
1) labor unions – the natural counterbalance to banking oligarchs. France has the best health care in the world… it also has some of the strongest labor unions in the world. this is not a coincidence.
2) understand that the bottom 99% wants HIGHER interest rates not lower rates.. Lower rates disproportionately favor the speculators and penalize the workers/savers. The bond market ponzi scheme keeping rates low is detrimental to the economy for the bottom 99%
3) As a show of strength the bottom 99% should take down a company like Coca-Cola just as a way to flex their muscle. The people who lose their jobs are going to lose them anyway, so they have nothing to lose. Why coke? It’s the easiest to ‘karmabanque’ down to zero.
Don’t get sucked into the trap of trying to ‘out-moralize’ the bankers.. Morality does not trade on the NYSE so don’t try to buy into it.
The only thing that any activist can do to push back is to push the stock price of a pet stock like coke (w. buffett is the biggest share holder) to zero.
…but like I said, none of these things will happen because all attempts will get ‘golf shirted’ and shouted down.
One thing for sure it left Japan in a bad situation at the time. But they might have the last laugh. Oil isn’t expensive to them in fact its dirt cheap.
Betting on Brent: The contango is widening, floating storage is on the increase, and Brent’s premium to WTI is intensifying by the day – which means only one thing: stocks at Cushing, the physical delivery point for the WTI Nymex contract, must be reaching a critical level (again). http://bit.ly/118MBX

Corporations Are Now After Our Very Beings
Cognitive capitalism — just when we thought there were no new ways to get screwed
By Joe Bageant
“A few years ago, compliments of the George W. Bush administration, I got an education in political reality. The kind of education that makes you get drunk at night and scream and bitch at every shred of national news:
“Do you see how these capitalist bastards have made so much money killing babies in Iraq? And how they are have brainwashed us and gouged us for every human need, from health care to drinking water?”
……For all its pretense and manufactured consent, our government is just a corporate racket now, and probably will remain so from here on out. This is a white people’s thing, an Anglo-European tradition. Moreover, we no longer get real dictators such as a Hitler, or a good old bone-gnawing despot like Idi Amin. We get money syndicates in powdered wigs or Savile Row suits, cartels of robber barons and banking racketeers.
Corporations are now, for all practical purposes, the only way anything can get done, made or distributed, or even imagined as a way of anything coming into being (except babies). Look around you. Is there anything, from the food in the fridge to the fridge itself, from the furniture to the very varnish on the floors or the clothes we wear that was not delivered unto us by corporations?
You’d think there would be nothing left to huckster after having pissed in most of the world’s clean drinking water, gutted its forests and jungles, leveled its mountains for coal and minerals, and turned the atmosphere into a blanket of simmering toxins, well, you’d think it was time for the bastards to fold the game and go home with their winnings. No such luck.
Enter yet a third phase: Consciousness Capitalism! The private appropriation of human consciousness as a “nonmaterial asset.” Or cognitive capitalism, in nerd and pinhead speak.
Essentially, we’re talking about stripping the human experience from life, then renting it back to humans. So how does one do that? Through the same Western European historical process used to fuck over the world in the first two rounds of capitalism — propertization. Denying access to something because it’s MINE-MINE-MINE-MINE!
Charge rents for your monopoly on the access. Manufacture artificial scarcity, even of human consciousness and experience by redefining and reshaping it. The tools here are legal means such as intellectual property rights, patents softwares …

Even Krugman Says that the Dip in Unemployment Was a Statistical Fluke http://tinyurl.com/n82rkd
@Karmastar23…………..because when you’ve previously posted about ‘the people’ less fortunate… the unemployed having it easy; those not owning homes not having the worries that you do; and just generally not having the problems of what to do with money and assets lke you…. you havent seemed so caring.
What on earth are you talking about? You’ve got the wrong person mate! I have NEVER said that the unemployed have it easy. And if I’ve made any reference to people having less problems if they lack assets it has been in the context of the law, ie. if you own an asset the law can take it away (this may have been in a post about statute vs common law, ie. purely technical). My friend, if I had my way I would ensure that EVERYBODY in this world had enough and nobody had too much. For example, I think there should be a policy that ensures that the richest in society can only earn 3 times more than the poorest (there does need to be some incentive and reward for talent). Perhaps you need to check through my previous posts because frankly, I am shocked that you have that view of me – nothing could be further from the truth! You’ve either got me mixed up with someone else or you’ve take what I had to say completely out of context. If you were to criticise me for almost anything else I probably would even rise to the occasion but you have got me so wrong I’m almost gobsmacked (well other than the rant I’ve just typed out for you).
Seriously though, if anything I need to harden up. All injustices get to me. I don’t even care that much about money but I do recognise that I need it so that my children are secure; in reality that’s the only thing that drives me to even think about obtaining proceeds from the property that I, and I alone, worked and paid for, and only because I feel that I need to get my children out to a place of safety. I could go on but clearly I’ve already taken your comment to much to heart and I’m frankly insulted by it (even though you probably didn’t mean it as an insult). For the record, I HATE the way this world treats those who are less able or less fortunate and I would never judge the unemployed or the homeless or anyone who has been left disenfranchised because I believe that there but for the grace of God go I.
Sorry for the long rant, I know we are expected to maintain a level of decorum, but frankly I think people should speak their minds more often (as you did, only you were wrong)!

Re: Townhall meetings
About the whole “this is the beginning of the beginning” when it comes to civil disobeidence and ‘townhall meetings’.
I know you’ve been outside of the US for a while now, because of that I believe you’ve lost sight of the REAL state of the American people.
1. They are hopelessly LOCKED into a false dichotomy of Republican vs. Democrat. You and I see very little difference between the parties. Americans, however, operate on some thing I like to call “-1 vs. +1″. What I mean is that while you and I see the world in an expanded view….. say “-100 vs. +100″ their whole world view sees Repubs and Dems as starkly different.
2. THEY WILL NOT LISTEN TO ANYTHING. I’m sure you’re aware of what a logical fallacy is. You would think that Americans would also be able to recognize them as well due to their frequency of use, however, that is not the case. If you attempt to steer people’s minds outside of what they call ‘mainstream’ you will be subsequently shouted down and call ed a conspiracy theorist. (Classic: ad hominem) Remember Ron Paul?
Conclusion: I could go on, but I won’t. After living in Europe for years I was SHOCKED when I came “home” and discovered that my countryman can’t recognize a rational argument.
All the town hallers are just WAITING for the chance to get THEIR guy into office so can show those dems what’s up. And thus the cycle is perpatuated…… and it gets worse every go around.
I’m naming the following culprits: Rumsfeld’s plague (aspartame), fluoride (you will get shouted down for even mentioning that), copious amounts of high-fructose corn syrup and refined sugar, trans-fats, preservatives (most of which are gasoline production by products), all you can eat buffets, TV (specifically reality TV which is just freakin’ Game Theory on ‘roids), and the utter “Duming Us Down” (John Taylor Gatto – great short read) and last but not least…… the nightly news.
It’s an irrational mob….. and that’s exactly how they’re behaving.

Right. I never understand what they mean by a jobless recovery of the economy. It sounds like something you only say when you understand f*ck-all about it…
Someone will have to make stuff, and as the US will be unable to buy it outside it will have to make it itself, unless the financial oligargy steals all your gold and arranges imports so it can retain its centralized powerbase.
If anything I see a fully employed recovery, especially if jobless people with benefits are put to work..
On the subject of KarmaBank,
I’m not an investor, as I started all this as a debt-slave anyway, and so am trying to understand the dynamics from scratch here. I know I’m probably getting some of this completely wrong so please explain to me why the dynamics work the way they do.
I’m trying to think through this casino driving involvement idea. Ok, so from what I remember the idea is that if you gamble on Obama winning an election you would run out and vote for him and tell everyone you know to do the same – you advertise the product so that it is bought and you then win the bet. Why can’t this be used for a counter-coup? Let people bet on the outcome that coca-cola will be brought down by the KarmaBoycott. You raise awareness with your novelty Karma-exchange and first target and get consumer-punters to take on those who would have to bet to stop giving the impression that x corporation’s share price is going to collapse. Those betting on a collapse would invest in the KarmaBank and you are set up for the next campaign.. The profit that the consumer-trader would make would make their numbers swell and give them the confidence to take on the next target. Obviously success would depend upon Karma.
@Mother Earth … “If anything I see a fully employed recovery, especially if jobless people with benefits are put to work..”
Are you defining a recovery as total slavery then ( “put to work” ) ?
The US can NOT just restart ( re-birth ) manufacturing overnight IMO.
IMO, I think the following sequence of events must happen before a “serious” recovery can be talked about :
a) US$ devaluation
b) .. causing Americans to become a source of “cheaper” labor with high productivity per dollar.
c) .. ca. 1 yr. for the shift to take place
d) .. assuming the Govt. reforms the tax and Co. laws to make innovation easier
e) .. curtails the almost stupid number of lawyers in the legal system ( 1 lawyer per 50 citizens currently ) to about 1 in 500 !
(e)= 90% reduction in the number of lawyers and therefore legal cases !
Of course, cleaning up WS and Congress and giving Govt. back to the people whilst reducing it’s size dramatically ( aka Ron Paul strategy ) is a prerequisite for the above to happen.
The markets are down AND the dollar is down….. if this pattern continues we’re going to be in for a bumpy ride!
New at Reason.tv: Market Seer Peter Schiff, on the U.S. Becoming an “Economic Wasteland” http://reason.com/blog/show/135219.html
In 1969, a Dr Richard Day was the national medical director of Planned Parenthood, sponsored by the eugenics-supporting Rockefeller family, and he was also Professor of Paediatrics at Mount Sinai Medical School in New York.
On March 20th that year, he addressed the Pittsburgh Paediatric Society with an audience of about 80 doctors. Dr Day asked everyone to turn off tape recorders and stop taking notes, so that he could tell them about a coming new world system and how American industry was going to be sabotaged.
One member of the audience, Dr Lawrence Dunegan, a Pittsburgh paediatrician, did take notes and later detailed what he had heard in a series of taped interviews. Dr Dunegan, who died in 2004, said:
‘The stated plan was that different parts of the world would be assigned different roles of industry and commerce in a unified global system. The continued pre-eminence of the United States and the relative independence and self-sufficiency of the United States would have to be changed …
… In order to create a new structure, you first have to tear down the old, and American industry was one example of that. Each part of the world will have a specialty and thus become inter-dependent, he said. The US will remain a centre for agriculture, high-tech, communications, and education, but heavy industry would be “transported out”.’
The subsequent run down of American industrial production has all been planned, as you can see. What Day described has also been happening for decades in the European Union as the economies and industries in the various countries have been targeted to destroy diversity and self-sufficiency and replace it with ‘specialisation’. This makes everyone dependent on everyone else and allows a central control-system to dictate to its subordinate parts.
Even more important given current events, Day said the plan was to cull and control the population through medicine, food, new laboratory-made diseases and the suppression of a cure for cancer. ‘We can cure almost every cancer right now’, he said in 1969, ‘Information is on file in the Rockefeller Institute, if it’s ever decided that it should be released’.
Letting people die of cancer, Dr Day said, would slow down population growth – ‘You may as well die of cancer as something else’. Like all the bloodline families, Day believed in eugenics and the ‘survival of the fittest’. So long as that doesn’t include themselves, naturally.
He said in 1969 that abortion would no longer be illegal and it would be accepted as normal. The food supply would be monitored so that no-one could give it to a ‘fugitive of the system’. Growing food privately would be banned by saying it wasn’t safe.
More sh*t to come then!

An interview regarding New World Order plans for the U.S. and its citizens:-
In the spring of 1997, Senior Editor, Professor Ian Stewart, met with “Mr. Sea” (real name known but withheld) to discuss what he has learned first-hand about the coming persecution at the hands of the New World Order operatives. With a seven-inch thick portfolio filled with photographs, news articles, correspondence, etc., Mr. Sea revealed disturbing information about New World Order efforts to destroy and enslave America. The following are some of Mr. Sea‘s comments. But first, let’s take a look at the man who made the comments.
Mr. Sea, a committed Christian, is a former inspector for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Department of Defense, with 31 years of federal service in the military, nine with the Department of Defense, including two years with the Air Staff. He’s a holder of the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, three awards of the Joint Service Medal, all of the Vietnamese awards, as well as the Joint Meritorious Unit Medal. When he retired a few years ago, he was awarded the Secretary of Defense Civilian Service Medal. He’s been around the world, to 31 countries on four continents, and speaks five languages. Mr. Sea spoke of the coming American Holocaust of the Government’s plans for dealing with the non-New World Orderites. He spoke of the infrastructure that has already been set up to incarcerate and execute Americans, and the locations of the facilities that will be used for these purposes, all with photographs, leaving little to the imagination.
“The infrastructure is set up. There are at least 130 concentration camps…………………..

Oldie , but did I miss this one ?
Lets make hedge funds and the stock market illegal….this would go far to promote transparency… the ability for a select few to control the money and gain endless power over what happens on the globe …just straight-up labor for cash. and boring banking….I think after we walk down that road for a while we will come to see what really matters and move beyond this complicated monotony.

@ dan valley………ron paul 2012
I just watched a great interview on Russia Today with Ron Paul’s son who is running for office coz he says the country is going to hell in a handcart. He is also a doctor and seemed like a genuine, intelligent guy – much like his father. I hope he wins. He had some great policies as well on healthcare and the economy and also believes the Fed should be abolished.

one thing I have noticed after hours trading seems like a dog that had the shit beat out it.
Just a quick comment on the Alex Jones interview…for what its worth.
His style of interview is terrible to say the least….I mean just watching him doodle like a high school delinquient during history while max is laying it all out there……and just as max or any of his guests are coming to the crucial point of it jones blurts out some sensationalism like Fema Camps!!! or Nazi!!! and it usually has nothing to do with what has been said prior….it like he has tourettes …serious,I expect him to start clucking like a chicken coupled with a spaztic head jerk soon
@Sharon
If you want me to trawl through the archives to find the comments I referred to then I will but I dont hold much hope in you apologising or doing anything but trying to wriggle out of it.
You seem to flirt with racism more than anyone on this site. And anybody that gives air time to Holocaust deniers, only describing the article as ‘interesting’ is careless to say the least.
…and now I notice that you are posting about an american holocaust – if this 12 yr old story is not fact and we should take it with a pinch of salt…. why is it here? Your research is careless.
@sharon
Ron Paul and his son would be ideal the only issue is the religious nonsense….all religion excludes critical thinking but if its true that he is a member of the creationist camp……it breaks my heart. Having said that he is still the only person that would do what he says and that is to follow the constitution , shrink govt, shut down the overseas adventures, end the fed and the irs the drug war , and promote sound money……..

The recent run up might have been cause for many reasons including computers Its possible this action was caused by algorithm of multiple market makers going crazy.
If that is the case and this was all manipulated someone might be stuck with a ton of S&P futures contract. Nothing is illegal about buying futures and moving market highers But if it was caused by computers gone wild somebody is going to pay dearly.

Re: Free advice.
I must admit that I have been guilty of asking the forum whats the deal with Gold/Silver ie free advice.
This site introduced me to gold – Max waving gold coins around on his earlier shows saying buy these
So I asked a few financial advisers here in Asutralia. They do charge which is great, but they JUST SELL BANK PRODUCTS FOR COMMISSION ANYWAY which is a bit pointless to me.
Most of the 6 or so I asked said “I don’t know much about gold but I’ll look into it”.
People on here seem to be more aware of the reality of whats going on, especially longer term. Not just making a sale.
Brokers/fund managers seem to get paid whether investments go up or down with no real responsibility for their advice. I have a friend who is a broker/trader , he told me to keep my money in the bank if I didn’t want to lose it all. These guys will sort out their mates then get to you later.
Then I hear that money in the bank is also risky. We have a govt guarantee on deposits at the moment FWIW, but when that is removed I’m outta there.
Thanks for everyones insights. This is the best forum on the web by far.
OK, a favorite topic of mine.
Productivity gains.
Productivity gains means less people doing the same job. Or what used to be a 5 person job, then became a 4 person job. This was seen as good, so then it became a one person job with the help of wonderful technology and corporate climbers becoming managers.
In a TV studio for example there were camera people, sound people, aoutocue people, floor managers, etc.
Now there is one person and a computer, this is great, if not a little boring/stressful for that person….until the computer crashes. Then we go to colour bars or black.
Ha! Better than what was on TV I hear you say.
So the result of productivity is that there are 8 people out of work and a black screen.
The next stage is that the one person working has a nervous breakdown and is replaced by the hungry one who was sacked earlier. And the story goes on.
Productivity gains is one of those phrases that came into politicians speak around the same time as Globalisation. Here we are told that to compete with the Chinese we will have to live like the Chinese in order to achieve productivity gains.
So……sweat shops for all. Yipeeeee!
http://www.actnow.com.au/Issues/Sweat_shops_in_Australia.aspx
Of course whoever whatever got itself into this jam probably has the FED to save there ass I wish I had the FED backing me. The FED should stay the hell out and let markets correct themself thats the only way to get rid of the assholes!
IT REALLY PISSES YOU OFF WHEN YOU LOSE THOUSANDS DOLLARS BECAUSE OF A FED BAILOUT!!!
Saw that Frontline doco on the collapse and Paulson.
Man, he just clicks his fingers and Ka-Pow!
Just like Mr. Burns in The Simpsons.
Do you think Burns’ character was based on Paulson?!?!??!?!?!
@Youri:
The Palatz article has a crucial flaw reflected in this sentence:
” The brilliant old agent comes in from the cold, crosses to our side, and in hours of debriefing, empties his memory of horrors committed in the name of a political ideology he now realizes has gone rotten.”
Stiglitz is furthering free trade and globalist ideology through UN economic reforms at present. Here is the link:
http://www.un.org/ga/president/63/letters/recommendationExperts200309.pdf
The gist of the un recommendations are more stimulus, for all developed nations, and a new credit facility, for developing nations.
” Mobilizing Additional Development Funds by the Creation of a New Credit
Facility
Given the need for rapid response, the new credit facility might be more quickly
established under the umbrella of existing institutions, such as the World Bank…”
Recently, Stiglitz has touted more stimulus for US, despite ridiculous, unsustainable deficits:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2009/aug/10/economy-stimulus-bailout
Palast indicates that Stiglitz has washed his hands of the corrupt IMF:
But instead of chairing the meetings of ministers and central bankers, Stiglitz was kept exiled safely behind the blue police cordons, the same as the nuns carrying a large wooden cross, the Bolivian union leaders, the parents of AIDS victims and the other ‘anti-globalization’ protesters. The ultimate insider was now on the outside.
But Der Spiegel has a different take:
http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,616743,00.html
That’s why we wouldn’t go that far. I propose that countries with a positive trade balance should stream part of their surplus to the International Monetary Fund. This can then stimulate the economy in developing countries or prevent the economy from collapsing in Eastern Europe.
To understand what Stiglitz wants, turn to the UN where Stiglitz heads the Economic Reform Committee. Stiglitz opposes protectionism and supports free trade. Stiglitz prefers a devalued dollar and a bigger basket of currencies alloted to sdrs with a lending facility.
CFR article from 2007 describing current Stiglitz recommendations:

MiniUS: I wasnt that impressed with the Frontline doco on the BS/Lehman collapse. It seemed to push a certain view that ‘poor old Paulson’ had to go against his noble capitalist free marketeering ways and bail out the banks. Although at least it did make mention of the bigger Wall St. firms invading the offices of BS/Leh & picking over their carcasses.

Hillary Clinton
Most people would never agree with me but I have a lot of respect for her.
@Guiseppe:
I wasn’t debating globalization or protectionism: just showing that Palast was misrepresenting the views and ‘goodness’ of Stiglitz.
Do you promote globalization? I don’t think it is good for poor people.
Trade restrictions benefit local markets. Local markets are good for common people.
I know what I like about Hillary Clinton she is a fighter no matter what she continues with her agenda she is train a locomotive with all engines running she doesn’t stop!
Currency manipulation has been the new paradigm in trade manipulations. The IMF stated that a dollar devaluation was in order. The cost of imports will skyrocket in US, but a diminished dollar will favor exports, mainly war. Hypocrisy is how the central banks of nations coordinate currency valuations and then claim the world needs free trade!
How can the Western powers condemn China’s Treasury/Yuan manipulations and yet suppress gold?
The expanding deficit in the US could arguably be perceived as a defacto dollar devaluation device to encourage US exports.
Here’s an article from Seeking Alpha with another point of view on HFT. I foresee potential problems in how an algorithm will determine if information (noise) is propaganda or reliable information. Also since oversight is said to be non existent there are too many holes for someone to tweak an algorithm and take advantage of the opportunities.

@frances snoot
Joe Stiglitz is a bit of a ambigious figure taking diffirent point of views depending when or where you ask him the question. I talked about it before on other forums and figured that he tries to keep the NWO happy on one side and on the other side tries to get some of his own ideas through. I don’t think he will win his pleed for the poor countries this way but he just tries to stay in the debate by taking moderate stand points.
My view is that there is something fundamentaly wrong in the sytem of power and moneystreams. Issues from 35 years ago still are thought to youngsters as if they just came about. Deforesting, starving Gorillas, starving third world children etc… The are presented as problems which we, ordanairy citizens are to blame for and still nothing has changed in these 35 years, why? Caues we arn’t the ones who caused this. In fact there are just a vew insanely rich families who own compagnies which are responsible for all the mishap in nature, that’s why! Rockefellows, Rothschields, name them all are the ones who are realy in control and also control the media in which our believe systems are formed.
Only by directing the power en moneystreams away from this inbred families can make us realy change the world the way we intended for more than 35 years. if Stiglitz wants to keep licking the boots of these cooperate fascists and hoping he can do something for the poor it’s his call but it won’t work.

@Mike
It sucks these people just won’t go away. If the same thing happened in a small village, let’s say Goldman was the fat banker and the whole village was ripped off, do you thing the village would kneel to the fat banker? He and what army? More likely he’d be found hanging from the church tower like mr. Pazzi in Hannibal..
Reality immitating art: A crime watch show that created its own crimes.. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8196564.stm
Looks like Goldman are gonna have to hire a squad of Marines to guard the entrance. Mike is well peeved. I’m with ya Mikey!
@Bondiboy,……..is peeved slang for stoned ?
@karmastar23…………………..You seem to flirt with racism more than anyone on this site.
Believe it or not I don’t like being accused of being something I’m not. This is the best you could come up with? You haven’t even some back with anything to refute my previous points, instead you’ve decided to come out with yet more false accusations. You are now accusing me of racism – again, I defy you to back that up with some evidence (you can’t). I beleive there is a previous post of mine in which it is very clear that I am not racist; Here’s an excert from that post:-
“He (Obama) is very much in the pocket of the white oligarchs and as a result the blacks and hispanics in America are getting very little out of his presidency, in fact most poor people will suffer because his policies are to protect the rich at the expense of the poor. When Obama became president I, like many others, had hoped he would help those less fortunate and especially the black people in America who, imho, continue to get a raw deal (eg. 1 in 4 black men will go to jail at some point). Actually, when he was elected it stirred emotions in me of hope/relief/joy at the prospect of someone becoming president who might actually understand the problems of the poor and the ordinary person (and let’s face it – that was a big part of the theme of his presidency campaign and as a result many poor people and those in the ethnic minorities voted him in, many now are apparantly regretting it).”
Care to explain which part of that is racism? Or would you like to back up your claims by producing some evidence?
Re: The Holocaust. Now here is a touchy subject because it is the only one we are not allowed to analyse or even talk about – quite odd really. However, if you have a mind that is free thinking you don’t necessarily go along with the mainstream or the official version of events. It strikes me that when western govs., who are full of lying, cheating, murdering assholes, are telling the people that they cannot look into one of the biggest events in history; cannot question it analyse it or discuss it, but rather are told you MUST accept the official version (like their official version re: 9/11, 7/7, Pearl Harbour, Lusitania, etc, etc) then I get suspicious (as, I believe would anyone with a bit of intelligence and an inquiring mind. In fact it was 9/11 that started me off questioning everything else). Now, when you have the balls to look into the evidence regarding a particular event you find things are not what you were told. Pretty obvious really when you consider the previous record and the modus operandi of the ptb. You’d have to be a bit thick not to consider the possibilities, Now come on, stop being so bloody niaive and check it out for yourself (or are you a good little robot who believes what he is told by the authorities – coz they’ve got such a good track record haven’t they, I mean what they’re doing now is really helping us out isn’t it – grow up!!).
Your last point regarding what I posted last (the potential revolt in Amercia) at least has some truth to it, ie. it was an old post which is why I immediately posted beneath it that it was to be taken with a pinch of salt. If I had not done that then you would be right to say it was careless research, but as it happens I corrected it straight away.
You imply that if you weren’t too lazy to back up your accusations and provide some evidence that I would not apologise or I would wriggle out of it. How could you know that? Sounds like an excuse to me to avoid backing up your silly comments.. If you can provide the evidence in black and white I most definitely will apologise and if I were to try to wriggle out of it I’m sure it would be obvious to everyone. Now either provide the evidence or shut up! In the meantime grow up and check out what’s really going on in the world before telling others that their views are wrong!
just heardon al-jazerra..”war is a necessary predicate for development”……now that’s change I can believe in
