@phil ,..i received an email from someone living in america last year and they ordered a pizza late at night in atlanta , the person who delivered the pizza late at night was 78 year old man who was obviously suffering from a major illness, [as that kind of thing makes us think of our own parents] , my friend was absolutely shocked that someone at that age and obviously so ill was out late at night delivering pizza across atlanta, also i am told that people who deliver pizzas are payed minimum wage ,rely on tips and must pay for their own petrol,this was at a time with the spike in oil or petrol prices,what kind of absolute Monster society treats its Elderly Citizens like this ? glad i don’t live there .

i just saw a guy from Elliot wave international on Bloomberg. He made two points
1. Markets are poised to go lower, probably even lower than the March 09 lows( this is ok, as most of non MSM know this)
2. Dollar to go up!!. he says that most of the IOU’s around the world are made in $’s. The losses accumulated/bankruptcies, would remove the excess $’s and consequently strengthen the $. This would be bad for gold.

@Dedo…………..you could be right re: Gold, but where the hell else can you put your money? The stock markets are rigged and keeping it in cash means you have no value at all. There doesn’t seem to be a solution to this problem. Gold has apparantly kept its value for 6000 years but I must admit that a few things I’ve heard recently makes me think that tptb would like to see it removed as a source of value. Can’t we just go back to ‘normal’? Apparantly we almost tasted true freedom in the 60′ and 70′s, we missed the opportunity I guess.

@Doomandbloom.. i am a subscriber to EWI, [ i do not have any money as i am a vagabond ], what little money i do have i choose give to market forecasting service at EWI. Bob Prechter has been making this call for a long time now,[ i repeated his call on this site in june ] while i personally put a lot of faith what B Prechter has to say ,EWI has made calls before that were not wrong but very early [his book 'conquer the crash ' came out early 2003 ? he predicted a crash after tech debacle and while that did not happen immediately the dow is down almost 80 % as against gold since the year 2000 ,that is what he calls the 'silent crash ' so in a sense he was right , i like their contrarian way of thinking and elliottwave approach . having said that, i used to subscribe to their 3 x weekly updates for first few years but switched to their monthly service as weekly updates were just for me re-do of monthly updates. i have subscribed to their services for 5- 6 years on and off on needs to know basis. it's not for everyone but i like it ,and another tool in the tool box that is perhaps already too full of tools that i do not know how to fully use and am not fully conversant with ,it works for me but i am not an investor of any kind [as that kind of thing makes me feel uncomfortable.] . I start by saying I have no idea what the future holds.
Anyone who does is crazy and don’t believe them.
It seems to me that there is a difference between what is real and what is pretend. I refer to Gold Bullion Vs EFT’s etc.
Also, printed $US and credit, IOU’s, etc.
I think giving anything any value at the moment is difficult, but if and when the ‘system’ breaks down how are we to value ANYTHING.
I mean if the price of Gold for example id $US950 now, people say the price is suppressed, others say they are double or triple counting inventories, or shorting contracts for gold that doesn’t exist. That when all these promisary notes are called in the paper won’t match the inventory. Others say gold will be confiscated and others that gold will be a dead metal.
If the comex is destroyed as some have asked for, if this buy/sell system is removed who knows just what the VALUE of anything will be. We are valuing stuff based on our current system of futures, markets, manipulations, whatever. But what if this system is removed?
Gold will go to $3,000/Oz!!! and who will buy that?
No banks feeding markets with blah blah, how are trades gonna take place, how will you sell/barter your gold?
Swap a goat for some vegetables?
Get rid of the Fed, sack the government, kill the banks, etc.

If that Audit the fed Bill passes and I really don’t see how they can stop it Goldman is going to get its head blown off. @Dedo Your contrary thinking re gold has merit, however, there is one slight fact that is missing. Very few people actually hold Gold/Silver bullion. Everyone assumes that it is widely held and it is not. I had the same discussion with a financial industry type and they claimed that everyone knows about gold so it is a bad investment. Then I asked how many clients own gold. Well none.

Biggest problem inthe U.S. is the massive national debt.They Chinese stopt buying huge amounts of dollars and via FOREX trickery they try to buy time by letting foreign central banks buy up dollars from money the U.S, gave them in the first place. The U.S. is monetising it’s debet cause nobody wants to buy U.S. treasuries anymore. But this can’t go on forever obviously.
The only option the U.S. has, in their view, is to inflate the dollar which is allready happening for some time in some ordely fahsion. When the foreigners find out about their FOREX trickery it won’t go that ordely anymore.

FAITH
Everyone had written faith off as just one of God’s cameos. Nobody paid it much attention anymore. People had become resentful and disillusioned by its absence, so they chose to ignore it.
The junkies uptown felt cheated without even some false hope to feed their denial; so they shot up more dope and lost all hope alltogether. Downtown, where the drugs of choice were credit cards, self-loathing and arugula the situation was worse. Worn rationalizations had replaced faith. Nobody questioned their sorry state of existence anymore. Decrepitude and uselessness had people by the throat. The order of the day had become to permanently lower one’s expectations of life. What was once taken for granted was now just taken. No where was this more evident than way downtown on Wall Street where new ways to take what was left were being perfected under the rubric of ‘financial engineering.’
Some asked, where was the Big Guy in all this, and why doesn’t he send us something new to take our minds off the minutia of obsessing over exfoliating dead skin cells at $200 an hour while trying to avoid partially hydrogenated cooking oils and/or carbohydrates.
But God didn’t answer. Earth bored him. He was happily tanning himself in the psycho-tropics of everyone’s collective denial of His existence.
But faith was alive even if people chose to ignore it.
Big, fat rays of sunlight that tumbled out of the sky, passing by sun reflectors scattered on roof tops held in the hands of ‘creative executives’ who worked in the marketing departments of movie studios in midtown, sunning themselves on their lunch break, before eating in three star restaurants with movie critiques goaded over goat cheese into giving their star vehicles four star notices.
With nothing to grab onto in this plane of existence of any consequence, sunlight shining down from above would just bounce off the creative exec’s tanning reflectors and bounce right into the sewer where it disappeared without inspiring anyone to do anything that wasn’t directly related to helping their gross.
But today, hidden in one of these rays, came a supernatural ray; faith’s redeemer, fear’s destroyer and it was heading for Jack’s kitchen.
Nobody except the angel saw it coming. To the cynical hoi polloi the sun was shining it’s usual uninspiring yellow no. 5, reminding people of open air malls in LA best known for sunlight’s supporting role in bad cop shows and exercise videos.
In Harlem, home of the nation’s crumbling soul, sunlight had a tough time escaping its reputation as a reminder of unemployment , so nobody really looked at sunlight uptown either. They watched TV instead.
So nobody, and I mean nobody, noticed that inside one of the rays shining today was the supernatural bit that would spark the new, supernatural faith fire, faith-backed currency in humanity’s mind.
And this is the way the angel wanted it. She didn’t want fear getting tipped off.

i could write a book about financial tricks but that would only encourage more people to get involved rigging markets. my novel is about thinking differently about what sustains us. if out-of-the-money reverse non-collateralized butterfly put spreads can be commoditized, why not love?

Thus another round of lobbying and legislating will fill the boots full of new cash for the coming campaigns…and on and on…A single payer system was off the table from the onset in February..check youtube for the exiting of the single payer folks from the committee hearings… So certain industries will continue to downsize, while others flourish…obviously a smaller leaner financial sector is on the top of the heap, and those who play ball will get the funding to continue…the FED is monetizing all it can..but rumors persist that the Chinese are dissatisfied and for one are reaching out to buy commodities ( metals ) and since they are the seat of most 21st century manufacturing globally they control the flow…for all due purposes the dollar is toast…it only takes time to rearrange the chessboard…It would be prudent to call a JUBILEE and cancel all mortgage and credit card debts…but apparently that is not the call to arms…instead the $500 billion to $1.5 quadrillion in derivatives will be saved…and to do this…we must remain debt slaves…of course as Max and others always point out this is a call to arms…RISE UP!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got in from doing 10 hours hard graft with a flex on the concrete balcony.
So – being really relaxed now, here’s a little banter :
Our brains see the universe subjectively … likea radio reciever, tunied into a certain frequency. Who’s to say that time – as counted by us – is really the “time” we take so much for granted.
Two of my own experiences :
A) 2 car crashes, where the car rolled over – no-one hurt.
My brain went into hyperdrive at the decisive moment and I saw everything moving in slow motion ; i.e. my brain’s “second” had become ca. 10 seconds.
B) playing squash … I played against some of the world’s big names like Torsam Khan ( deceased on court at 27 ) and Roger Bannister ( 4 minute mile , Jonah Barrington’s coach ).
The high level of concentration , especially when retrieving the ball out of a back corner ( on the wood ), meant that I actually see the ball in VERY slow motion whilst stroking it back to roll again on the side walls. i.e. very high concentraion.
Both are examples of moments we would call “intense concentration”.
Just another example :
Try tapping a finger on your left-hand on the table say 4 times per second whilst tapping your with a finger on your right-hand say 13 times per second.
Most people would find this impossible to do .. Buddy Rich has no probem though.
It is because Buddy Rich can divide a “time interval” into 52 parts ( 4 x 13 ) in his mind.
To repeat my first statement again…

@Phil……..I love the way your mind works. Yes, time….a huge subject coz we could start discussing the different calanders which seem to make more sense that the one we use. I remember some hippy chick telling me once that she ‘didn’t do time’ and I thought that was probably very sensible. However, when I tried it myself I became anxious, maybe you have to practice and maybe it works best if you don’t have children. I also tried not setting my alarm clock for about a month and just woke up whenever I wanted to, problem is it was usually around midday and then I couldn’t motivate myself to do anything for the rest of the day. I don’t like the idea of being programmed, I’d like to live as nature intended.
BTW, did you see my post on one of the previous topics about DNA? If not I’ll dig it out for you – very interesting and right up your street.

Here’s a point that the MSM will NEVER tell you.
How many of the various “pundits” who love to badmouth Obama and single payer are NOT extremely wealthy? Everyone in the media business knows this. For most people, you work like a dog for minimum wage in some tiny market for years. And then gradually you work your way up (with help from your crack news biz management team) to the network I’m-a-superstar level. At that point, can you think of anyone who’s probably not making at least $1 milion a year?
That being said, if any of these people got sick, the best care money can buy is literally no problem for them. Therefore, they have nothing to lose by repeating management propaganda on-air (and laughing in your face as they do it).
Imagine for a moment if (fill in the blank w/a news superstar name) was denied coveage due to a “pre-exisitng” condition. If that happened, they’d be screaming to anyone and everyone. Their network would do a “hard hitting” special on how horrible this is. Why, look at what they’re trying to do to our all-around-nice-person (famous name).
