Court orders Fed to disclose emergency loan details

Stacy Summary: Uh oh. I see dead people. My bet – there ain’t no way this info will be disclosed. As Max suggested in the past few weeks on our radio show, if despite dead people, new legislation and executive decree, the Fed is still forced to disclose, then they will just take the assets off their balance sheet for that reporting period, put it off balance sheet somewhere (like JP Morgan or in one of the Fed’s Cayman Island hedge fund accounts) and then once the accounts have been looked at, they will move them back on the public’s balance sheet.

    @Youri:
Thanks for you insight! Yes. We are screwed.

Here’s Ambrose Pritchy writing about Bernanke, or as Stacy called him, Benny:
That let the Fed off the hook for its own role in driving the US savings rate to zero – and consumption through the roof – by holding interest rates below “Wicksell’s Natural Rate”.
Bernanke’s theoretical model is clearly wrong – since he was blind-sided two years ago – and must lead him into fresh error. The risk is that he will mismanage the Fed’s “exit strategy” by tightening policy too soon on the false assumption that recovery is secure. He knows this was the Fed blunder of 1936-1937, but
also seems to think he has basically licked our Great Recession of 2008-2009. Has he really?
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/comment/ambroseevans_pritchard/6089383/The-troubling-side-of-Ben-Bernanke.html

Ambrose was zirp big time also: before Bernanke in fact:
This crisis will not begin to abate until monetary gods at the Fed and the ECB make it clear at long last that they grasp the full extent of the crisis by slashing interest rates in a single concerted action. That will shock and awe.
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/comment/ambroseevans_pritchard/2985247/US-Federal-Reserve-needs-to-rediscover-the-power-to-shock-and-awe-to-ease-crisis.html

So, although a good fair judgment is called, his own weakness Mr. P-Evans ignores. Never mind. The astonishing sentence, the one to chill we Americans bone-cold:
Bill White, former chief economist at the Bank for International Settlements, said the error of the central banking fraternity over past 20 years has been to cut real interest rates ever lower to keep the game going. This has lured the world into a debt trap. The effect is to keep drawing prosperity from the future – until the future arrives.
“It does the job for a while but moves in interest rates have to be ever more violent to achieve the same effect. My worry is that we may have reached the point where the policy ceases to work altogether.
“These imbalances come back to haunt you, and that is where the world now is. People have been induced to bring forward purchases by taking on debt and there has been a massive expansion in corporate investment,” he said.

Drawing from the future until the future comes back to haunt one.

Mmmm It’s a ver complicated mess the US has gotten itself in. A devaluating dollar is in fact happening and some arqued in needs more devaluation to get in a better exporting position but that’s to one dimensional thinking cause than America needs something to export.

A lot of manufacturing has been brought outside the US to China and Mexico for instance. That’s one problem. The other is that importing gets very expensive that’s why I think an higher oil price will kill the US especially if the dollar is more devaluated than it already is. That’s the second problem.

Furthermore the US economy is war production depended while wars in itself only cost money which is a big problem now the US defecit is skyrocketing and the Chinese get fed up paying for their own encirclement while having big domestic problems themselves.

The dollar later will also be confronted with inflation next to the already going on devaluation which will worsen things even more. if at that time oil, food are much more expensive the US will have a very big problem. I think the US will do everything to get cheap oil oterwise their double dead meat.

The current administration is killing the reserve status of the dollar with which the loose that big advantage. Things are not looking good.

What they should do is stop the war spending and crazy stimulus and get back to basics. In that way they maybe are able to at least save the dollar as reserve currency. Frankly I don’t see that happening under this delusional administration.

Than they should build up their export capabilities by producing high quality goods like in the old days. The banking sector is a big overhead but will not shrink itself since they have taken over the country and sucking it dry and killing the chikens with the golden eggs. No chikenfarm anymore.

Even in the MSM I read that Bernake didn’t acomplish any growth in the economy, if there was any, and that his renewed term in office will not boost the dollar. Things gonna get worse a lot till the American people gain prostest weight to realy get some change. But the NWO, Rockefellows, Rothschields and brotherhood in crime will not give up their position easily so it will be a long fight.

Fabulous links! Can you interpret Mr. Blanchard for your reading audience?
Blanchard said last week that the recovery has started, but that its durability requires refocusing the United States towards exports and Asia towards imports.

Devalue dollar, check for US exports. China increased domestic demand + dollar reserve losses = high inflation?

Do you think a rebalance is realistic now?

Surprisingly, Redeker said, the IMF’s solution to regain fiscal flexibility is by cutting entitlements such as pension and obligations related to the health sector.

Can you believe that this is an option? Of course: it is baked in the cake!

Actually the American soldiers are already preconditioned on hostility from China Militairy or economically. So if the dollar collapses they can blame the Chineze for a sort of financial attack.

They make a remake of the movie “Red Dawn” http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087985/ but I am now wondering if it still will be the Russians attacking or that they take the Chineze invading America. The last Rambo movie took some Asians as enemies, wouldn’t be surprised.

Obama 2010 fiscal year budget calls for $527 billion in defense spending without even counting in the costs of the Iraq and Afghanistan war.

And Obama budgeted $2.8 billion in noncombat assistance for Afghanistan for 2010.

So that makes a total of $529.8 billion for 2010 without the defense spending of Iraq and Afghanistan war. Could be another $trill or somtin at least. Say it’s $1 1/2 trill. Taking about &2 trill +. Maybe find some figures about it later.

A Fake Mechanism in the Upper Atmosphere which Supposedly Creates Global Warming

At the most technical level, scientists know there is no valid mechanism near the surface of the earth for CO2 to cause global warming, because CO2 absorbs all radiation available to it in about ten meters. So they contrived a mechanism high in the atmosphere to rationalize CO2 as the cause of global warming.

The upper atmosphere, where the fake mechanism is supposed to create global warming, has been cooling for the past 20 years.

A major reason why greenhouse gasses do not create significant global warming is because the relevant radiation only interacts with the earth within the first few meters (10 meters for CO2). Above that, the radiation is doing everything it does in all directions equally, which does not change the amount of heat in the atmosphere.

  32. @Anythingbut..

The political mind always assumes that people say things because they want something. Then they expect people to sell/defend their positions. They expect people to be always opposed (why talk if you agree?).

A scientific minds says things because they describe a danger, because they describe a solution or because they describe a contraint (or fact). Scientist expect people to cooperate, specifically because they see danger (if only in being wrong).

The two minds never meet each other, because that would destroy either one of them. In general the scientific minds take care of the political minds, although the political minds think they call the shots.

Other alarmists on this site seem to think so.

This scientist explains some of the basics in simple words:
    http://nov55.com/words.html

Some time ago I asked you if you believed that carbon dioxide drives global warming. You did not respond.

One of the most outstanding GW lies is the claim that carbon dioxide causes global warming (based on data proven to be fraudulent) despite the empirical evidence that carbon dioxide increases 800-1200 years AFTER significant global warming. As one scientist quipped, using the GW logic you can claim that cancer causes cigarette smoking.

This is how the system of shadow power is meant to work. so I am not wetting my panties about any of this. Its a joke. Now that said anybody remember when Jack kennedy faced down U.S. and Bethlehem Steel when they tried to raise prices back in 62′. He gave a long speech in front of the United Auto Workers which was a powerful union back then and he went on t.v., he used the bully pulpit and identified and embarassed the shysters and they backed down. Then we know what happened within a year. Business learned to hate kennedy because he stood up to them quite literally and was the last President to do so and go directly to his power base, workers and the unions. 77. AP: Illegal downloaders in Britain may lose Web acces

Britain is completely on the wrong side of this issue. Copyrights are the public’s rights to help manage the public’s intellectual property. A limited period of time, like 28 years (per the original Constitutional statute), giving individuals monopoly rights over intellectual property is the outer most boundary of time that a society invested in the speech rights and intellectual rights of its people would allow in good conscience. Britain, it is easy to understand, given the massive cock ups this Labor government, is allowing themselves to be steered by the copyright cartel just like they allow themselves to be strong armed by the banking, pharmaceutical, and defense industries. This Labor government has abdicated its role as a representative of the People and their position on Copyright is yet another glaring example of their conflicted, misguided policies.

“I received an email this morning from a relative of Representative McFadden from Pennsylvania. He said that someone tried to assasinate the Representative twice. “Someone” really didn’t like him speaking out against the Federal Reserve.”

  84. OT:
    @Dedo / @Guiseppi … RealTime Feed question

I just noticed on my RTF that a large number of the trades, the volume has a minus sign in front of it.

Normally this is a trade-correction, but there is no counter-trade to match, i.e. it is NOT a correction.
.. or the RTFeed is totally scewed.
The worst case is on the AMD stock .. more than 50% are minus signs.

Have they changed the rules recently, or is it something else?

  97. I heard this story this morning when I woke up to see if my portfolio was in order (my broker buggered my portfolio due to some TECHNICAL problem on the weekend, but now I have an extra 2000 shares of one company after they “fixed it”… sssshhhh don’t tell them)

    Anyway, I nearly LOL’d when I heard this…
I think about INSIDER trades etc, and how THEY have to get reported…
    this situation is NO different…
If it would “hurt the share value of the companies involved”
or “create a run on the banks”,
    WHO CARES!!!!
it would serve those particular BUMS right !!!!
    GO GET EM BLOOMY!!!!

  98. I’m not holding my breath either, but the information being requested is for the TARP program and who received it. Additionally, the people have heard some testimony as to where it went, so to simply remove all of these “assets” off balance sheet will then reveal that they didn’t give anyone anything. The enlightened public will not let this die. Still pleasantly surprised that this judge wasn’t bought off and put for this judgement.

    First?
