you are creative (and btw, i love the work you and stacy are doing) – if you really feel (or can calculate) that a global demand, in aggregate, from a general populous buying 1oz of gold would in fact undermine the power of global govt, global banking, why not setup some kind of “forum” for the exchange for this idea.
if this idea is that powerful and power is in demand then there must be some market for that idea. ie, there needs to be some kind of creative delivery mechanism that would enable the idea to be “purchased” if a forum existed to “support” the idea.

Encouraging the Chinese to spend more instead of saving will be about as effective as encouraging people who lived through the Great Depression or were children during prolonged rationing brought on by a World War to waste food. A year is certainly more than enough time to enact at least financial reforms. That should’ve happened before anything else. But I think the bankers & Paulson knew that it wouldn’t happen if they incited panic before the general election. No politician wanted to be caricatured as voting against the “imminent collapse” of the entire system.
I don’t know how much more we can endure. My general sense is not much more. I only hope that when we snap, if we do it in a violent manner, we collectively decide to take our anger out on the private property of banks and corporations responsible for hijacking our system of government. I wish no personal harm on anyone or any politician. Politicians will fall in line if we can find a way to constructively snap.
