  1. What the FFFFFFFKKKK!!!,….what big eyes you’ve got!!

  2. @Stacy & Max …. well pointed out .. the description of wealth transfer via derivatives governed by the derivative monopolists.

Remember that report from 2002 : The JPM Derivatives Monster … by Adam Hamilton ?

JPM already had the monopoly way back then !

  3. We’ve got a parasitocracy, rule by parasites.

  4. Nice glasses.

  5. Good job Max and Stacy

It is always better if Max is not screamig a lot :)

    A little bit is fine

  6. Maybe I should drive down to Detroit and pick up a few thousand houses?

Ah, fuck it…my Fatherland Security file must be a foot thick by now, and I’m already looking over both shoulders for a CIA kidnap team.

  7. What our government should do is allow a bad bank for failed mortgages from Fannie Mae And Freddie Mac. Then the bad bank can sell off these so called toxic assets at a reduced price thru the PPIP program and then later dissolve the bad bank.

Because the banks are refusing to take the write downs on the sales of these homes they just won’t sell.

And if they did that then FRE and FNM would sky rocket

The dollar is going to tank away whats the difference stocks will go up people would get out of debt and some other poor sucker will be stuck holding the bag

  8. @Ilya,..yeah,..you attempt to disagree with any government policy,..you’ll be cited as a terrorist, anti-government,..extremist,..conspiracy nut, wacko, etc,….So it’s best to just be a dead head like the rest of the muppets,..and fit in.
That’s what they teach ya in the see eye aye,….(sniff) !!

  9. Max said “Police is kidnaping own citisens”

It was not police IT WAS MILITARY

  10. @TOP,…….Same thing,…or haven’t you noticed the transition?

  11. “Rare parrott shagging zoologist’
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9T1vfsHYiKY&feature=popular

I know it has nothing to do with world financial collapse!

  12. Years ago,….back in the UK,..the police “service” used to walk around with little truncheons about 9 inches long,..
Now they’ve “special squads” with sub-machine guns,….there’s progress for ya!!

  13. Max is 100% right on derivatives the whole market is completely manipulated around derivatives.

We should require min 20% margin.

Goldman Sachs more then likely crashed the real estate market intentionally to profit from derivatives no regard for consequence just the immediate profit and big bonus some freak en weasel would get

  14. @Marietta,……how wrong you are,….that’s exactly the analogy,…getting fked by an unknown entity (and most not even aware of it)

  15. I stand corrected!

  16. That would be a parrotsitocracy.

  17. Max,

you are creative (and btw, i love the work you and stacy are doing) – if you really feel (or can calculate) that a global demand, in aggregate, from a general populous buying 1oz of gold would in fact undermine the power of global govt, global banking, why not setup some kind of “forum” for the exchange for this idea.

if this idea is that powerful and power is in demand then there must be some market for that idea. ie, there needs to be some kind of creative delivery mechanism that would enable the idea to be “purchased” if a forum existed to “support” the idea.

as it is, this powerful idea (if it is indeed that) remains hidden until such time it is expressed (obviously latently) by some conduit, ie charismatic person, necessity (mother of invention)…or as i am proposing some unique, creative forum.

    i have 1 idea…

  18. Encouraging the Chinese to spend more instead of saving will be about as effective as encouraging people who lived through the Great Depression or were children during prolonged rationing brought on by a World War to waste food. Any Chinese person’s life can be destroyed or severely harmed at any moment. That is their reality, and that is why they save. They pay or are at risk of having to pay, bribes for everything from keeping an elderly parent from dying for lack of medication, to having a child attend a good school. They have to practice vigilance just to ensure the food they buy is safe, or the toothpaste on the shelf isn’t a poisonous fake. This is just yet another dialogue for the ignorant masses. Some foolish younger Chinese will surely be foolish and young, but their parents and elders will continue saving like before.

  19. Well, still waiting for that last gasp for air from the Fed that will push gold and silver down, at least silver to 13-14 dollars.

come on Ben, do it.. FOR ME! move your tentacles for me!
oh I forgot, ben doesn’t have tentacles, only a chopper :P

    Anyway
    silverfacts!

  20. Dear Doctor Deep Matter & the dearest of Misses:

Please refrain from the most obvious of temptations of confusing, conflating Amerika from the the american people. Clearly, this would equally apply to all other zip-codes.

The American people showed up as “indentured people” and sadly; contrra-history, remain so today….there are many to thank for this….as previously mentioned Puritan Patriotism is a malicious contradiction…as were so many other Historical anomalies as we all recognize.

Nevertheless…..Max & Stellar Stacey(where’s the ring?)….it remains as always the REVOLT AGAINST THE MASSES….the DICTATORSHIP OVER THE PROLETARIAT….that’s the intention of the TRANSFER MECHANISMS.

It will always be the CONFEDERATION of POWER….that’s why big fish eat little fish…three X’s a day.

Be kinder & more understanding of[to] the “condition” of BAIT-FISH….otherwise, you will become intellectually & morally quite SUSPECT….another Langely creation….the Dulles made it all the way to the Vatican…Cardinals of Cardinals…the Rouge of the Rouge….Red is the color of BETRAYAL(death).

  21. update on the lrad sonic device

With the help of Homeland Security grants, police departments nationwide looking to subdue unruly crowds and political protesters are purchasing a high-tech device originally used by the military to repelbattlefield insurgents and Somali pirates with piercing noise capable of damaging hearing.

    http://www.officer.com/online/article.jsp?siteSection=1&id=48673

  22. for example: most americans can not spell mortgege…much less “execute” it…that is not a BAD thing…rather, that is an peasant thing.

The Amerikan BLACK SLAVE “condition”…was not nearly as bad as those men women & children in the mills & wharves of England & Neo-
England(more NORMAN MURADER)….the peasants of France or the Serfs of Russia….in mostly all instances it was Cain against dis-Abeled….go figure.

    More work to do.

  23. @gb – Now would be a good time for all Americans (and probably all Brits) to stimulate the ear plug market. Also, it helps to be armed with the knowledge that LRAD sound waves can be deflected and redirected towards those using the WEAPON by holding up large, flat objects, and using them as a shield.

  24. @marietta
    Thanks for the parrot vid!

  25. Chalcedonite

Theonomy does not believe in debt… and believes in the storehouse of wealth, gold. “Not all who make over money into value are extravagant like Nero; some are miserly, and others are thrifty. In any case, money has become for them more than a yardstick or even a storehouse of value: it has become value itself. The result is a social disorientation. Men work, not to produce, nor to gain properties, lands, and other assets, but for money. Money then becomes a god; it becomes “the mammon of unrighteousness”, the god of injustice, and the logical goal of unbelief.” Larceny in the Heart by RJ Rushdoony

  26. I liked this first part of the episode, max is to me a lot better when he explains and talks with feelings but without the screaming stuff.
How can the derivatives spin up to such gigantic numbers? Do it have any base in reality when numbers get so high?

  27. Oh no,…jim the preacher is back in town,..scarwy,..!
You’re no match for Myking,..so be gone fool and lay down your arms,..or suffer the talent of the meister.

  28. @ Max – How do you foresee the US or any country returning to a more traditional form of capitalism when all of our leaders are more or less resisting laws and regulations that would make banksters, corporations, and the top 1% face the free market discipline that they expect the general population to face?

Derivatives denial is suicidal, but as you and Stacy both mention, our leaders seem intent in this derivatives depression to deny the problem to such an extent that it seems they are actually counting on increased derivatives gambling to get us out of the hole.

What’s the likelihood of getting these idiots to understand that their worldview is completely wrong? They don’t believe in capitalism or democracy (here, I mean listening to the rabble). Hell, here, they won’t even listen to economists or financial analysts who are not extreme market-fundamentalists.

  29. Alright Goggles, ye don’t look any smarter but you look sexier puurrr…

  30. @ Stacy – Good on you for pointing out how US consumers and Chinese savers have been identified as “the problem.” It’s indeed interesting how our dear leaders can manage to disassociate the people from the policies and institutional practices in place in the systems in which those people live. Almost a kind of a magic trick.

  31. Dedo..you are fag-slave in waiting…put up or shut up….or, go back to your electronic bowl.

Max & Stacey…I know more about “it” than you.

    footman beware.

  32. what! bumped because of the olympics?
on the edge is much more important

  33. Pretty sure those g20 kidnappers weren’t military.

  34. the Puritan Diaspora…is Viral.

  35. Puritanism did not come from England…it came from Geneva.

  36. England is not Anglo-Saxon…all the Anglo-Saxons were dispensed
with 1000 yrs ago…it is Norman….displaced, usurping Vikings.

Thor dressed up as Jehovah…how funny is that???

  37. @mij,…….Your shadow deceives you, young war monger
your power is weak,…your end is nigh,..go from these depths of understandings that laugh in your wake,..be gone,..!!!

  38. Anglo…as Scandinavian….now, that’s funny…see you’ll in Oslo. Same holds for the Russ…Rome & Constandinopole as Norman redoubts…that’s really funny.

  39. Dedo…you are a Platonic pleasure…an hermaphrodictic dust-biuster….a genderless sphere…how unifying..the one & only.

    Dedo…you are A MODERN coward…masquerading as a “mankinder”.

  40. @mij,…..I am all of those and much more,…my young riddler of symbol and bearer of the spark,….

  41. Go max!

  42. Dedou…slaves are never sparks….just agreeable…the “cunning of reason”….dreamin’ ’bout the ransom.

  43. @Dedo

“Years ago,….back in the UK,..the police “service” used to walk around with little truncheons about 9 inches long,..”

Yeah, I have the same problem :)

    WTF is this???

    http://www.forbes.com/feeds/afx/2009/10/02/afx6961567.html

I just spent the last 3 hours getting totally pissed in celebration of a NO vote…are they stealing it already???

  44. well done, I am scared but prepared

  45. @mij,……go , pretender,…your energy is weak, i have no use for you,…

  46. @Ilya,……lol,….typical bloke,…useless with linear measurement and comparison,….haha

  47. @Dedo,

I have a degree in…um…it was either Math or Elizabethan English…I don’t recall at the moment…

  48. Dee-doo-dou…you are are a plastic skirt… trafficing, .under, undoubtedly, some kind of “marchin’ yama-aka…or some semblance of a silvery crown.

  50. Richard@lattitude30N

@Max: Yes sir….kakocracy…”rule by scoundrels”…that’s what Christopher Story has called this heist for a good two years…derivatives…derivatives..derivatives…yessir, yesma’am…it’s sound money policy versus the derivative market ….we all pretty much know which side we mostly are on…after all if the entire global annual GDP is $ 60 trillion and the derivatives are $600 trillion to $1200 trillion …well that’s 10-20 years of everyone’s economy to make them whole and bring them back to the balance sheets…I for one don’t see the 6+ billion human population standing still while the derivatives market settles it score in 20 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and collecting outrageous bonuses while they’re doing it….

  51. @mij,…….now there’s a projection of personality if ever i witnessed,…cheers spark!!

  52. Richard@lattitude30N

@Max: Just maybe the Islamic world will get some gumpsion ( sp??) and tell the west that usury is aniti-islamic…and pull away from the western banks…the only reality is that Crude @ $69.00+ is twice real value of crude..so they are collecting 2:1 instead of the under valued ( devalued )dollar ..like the rest of us…it should have been about $35 or so and my presumption is that. that is what is keeping them in line..except for Iran which is only accepting euros for oil…isn’t that what drove Bush to invade Iraq????????????When Saddam signed contracts in euros???

  53. @Tofu,….efficient markets,..entropy,…..all concepts can be manipulated subjectively,….always a matter of perspective,…maybe?!

Related. Gold vs the US Bond

Video of the end of the US Bond

Gold “This is gold Mr Bond. All my life I have been in love with its color, it’s brilliance, It’s divine evenness… I welcome any enterprise that will increase my stock…..which is considerable.”

US Bond “I think you’ve made your point Gold thank you for the demonstration”

Gold “Choose your next witticism carefully Mr US Bond. It may be your last. The purpose of our two previous encounters is now very clear to me, I do not intend to be distracted by another, good night Mr US Bond.”

US Bond “Do you expect me to talk”

Gold “No aha, Mr US Bond, I expect you to die. There is nothing you can talk to me about that I don’t already know.

  55. Obviously the arrogant vermin running the US will NEVER pay their debts, or even pretend to. So that leaves…not many options:

Zimbabwean hyperinflation or Nuclear war (to “re-invigorate” the “economy”)

There are NO other options. Period.

The best scenario? A pre-emptive nuclear first strike by Russia and China on the US that wipes out this sad state of affairs. Sorry, but that is the reality.

Empires are made to fall, and that is exactly what will happen.

If i were Putin or Medvedev this would have already happened. The evil empire needs to be vaporized – the sooner the better.

…remind me not to fly over US air space.

  57. Why are hurricane called hurricanes in the Atlantic and typhoons in the pacific anyway it looks like the Philippines will be hit with a big one

  58. @STACY

Stacy, noticed you deleted some guys post for spam, please keep it up. I tend not to comment on this site even though I’ve been listening to you guys for many years now, there is just too much noise :/

Could we perhaps have a place on the site where people could post unrelated stuff and discuss it there. Would be great if the noise could be reduced and comments kept relevant.

Rather tired of seeing the likes of ‘…arb thought…ARB THOUGHT…arb thought!!!!’

  59. @Dedo

good job with mij. However, entropy can not be manipulated . . . I think. The best we can hope for are probabilities.

  60. U.S. Job Losses May Be Even Larger, Model Breaks Down

    http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601068&sid=aGBkhROUjNds

” The U.S. economic slump earlier this year was so severe it short-circuited the government’s model for calculating payrolls, raising the risk that today’s jobs report may be too optimistic.

About 824,000 more jobs may be subtracted from the payroll count for the 12 months through last March when the figures are officially revised early next year, a Labor Department report showed today. The revision would be the biggest since at least 1991. “

  64. @Mep……….re:John Oliver on Daily Show

Yeah, that was on TV last night in Antarctica. The people they got to represent the tea-baggers were such perfect morons! But I thought some of them are supposed to more rational, audit-the-Fed types? Deeply confused by media coverage, the suspiciously organized nature of the tea-bag movement, and what my left-liberal friends in the US are telling me…

  65. @DanII,…….Are you so sure ?

  66. Many people dislike Jim Willie but I think he’s right on with this statement:

It is my contention that the US financial structures broke without any remote potential for repair and revival in the summer of 2007. The symptoms became obvious in the summer of 2008 to the slower observers with visible shock waves bathed in crisis. The reactions from shock waves have come since the autumn months of 2008. The system has broken, but the syndicate in control wishes to keep the music going, keep the machinery turning, keep the money flowing, so that they can continue the massive rackets, bury the frauds & counterfeit, cover their tracks, process the bad paper into USGovt coffers, continue to corner the printing press operations, continue to con the USCongress into granting more funds for Goldman Sachs to dictate dispensation secretly, and to continue the endless war whose rivers of blood are matched only by rivers of redirected private contractor fraudulent payments. Nobody seeks justice and prosecution for over $1 trillion in mortgage bond fraud. Nobody seeks to remove Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan from control posts at the USDept Treasury and USFed respectively. Nobody seeks even to locate the missing $50 billion from the Iraq Reconstruction Fund, or to announce the known location of the stolen $100 billion from the Madoff Ponzi Scheme (it aint $50B and they know its exact hiding place). Foreigners have been very busy since the autumn 2008, as they dismantle the levers, knock down the pillars, block the escape routes, yank the collateral from the paper marketplaces, and otherwise thwart the US-UK schemes”

and then you read this? People get wiped out, lose jobs, lose homes…what am I missing?

Hopey McChange got FUCKED and HUMILIATED today. He thought he could waltz into Copenhagen with his entourage of co-vermin and “seal the deal” and, instead, he took it in the ass, and was humiliated.

    http://edition.cnn.com/2009/US/10/01/us.iraq.odierno/index.html?iref=hpmostpop

Is this, or is this not, the most half-assed sad excuse of an “empire” in recorded history?

  69. @Tofu,……..You do realise,….I only need 2% and your mind is all MIIIIIIINE!!!,…Huaaahhahaha

  70. 39+2,…….just in case

  71. ooops,….49,..gee ,..two mulch whine me thunks,…hic!!

  72. @Dedo

I can say with certainty that I am certain of nothing.

The states of disorder vastly outnumber the states of order. We expend vast amounts of energy to bring order to our world. All that we achieve is equilibrium for the energy expended . . . I think.

  73. The LIES have officially begun – in spite of all the evidence contradicting it:

just like I said it would happen. I knew it was too good to be true…

  74. @DanII,……..It’s good to talk,…and share,..rather than pontificate ,…maybe.
As you’re aware there are plenty of “leaders” and “followers” out there ready to fill the set paradigms of moralistic virtues or not,…
    Systems huh!!,…who’d have em’,…: )
Seriously though,…..I do love to learn new ways,….

  75. Richard@lattitude30N

@Dante: agree…Apparently since the “system is broken” and teh “music is continuing” I find that it still gives those of us a moment to regroup and find the path to take…If I remain here..my intention is promote a sound money silver backed banking system..to replace the obvious failed fiat federal reserve system that enslaves those who cannot break away from it’s grips…after all what was freedom meant to be????amd who was it meant for???

  76. The PRE-spin in support of the fixed vote that was Clearly contr-indicated:

Layers of bullshit heaped on more layers of bullshit.

Please, God, someone put a bullet in Blair’s pea-sized brain already!

Are the Irish going to let this lie stand?

  77. @ Ilya – Interesting that you call yourself a socialist, yet choose to refer to First Lady Michelle Obama in such vile ways.

  78. Dedo

Yeah, I do tend to pontificate.

Entropy . . . nature tends to disorder because there are more possibilities of disorder than order. In human terms, individual humans would rather decide for themselves rather than have an outside influenced direct them.

Oligarchs = energy expended towards order or control for their benefit.

We mere peasants = the natural state of individual determination.

Entropy will win as it has through out history. There is not sufficient energy available to achieve absolute control. They win some, we win some and equilibrium is achieved.

    No more pontification . . . guaranteed . . . I think.

  79. @ Ilya – Interesting that you call yourself a socialist, yet choose to refer to First Lady Michelle Obama in such vile ways.”

Gee, I’m sorry, did I offend you? Are socialists supposed to be Pacifists and just lie down and take it in the ass from the fascist class??? And, would you care to explain what “first Lady” means? Is she the a fucking empress or Holy icon that cannot be criticized under pain of ritual state torture and death?

SHE turned herself into an instrument of empire, just like that douchebag Killary Klingon: – I did not do it for her.

  80. The strength of some of these Trolls’ “arguments” is that they make so little sense they must first be constructed before being deconstructed. That’s if you bother reading past their handle.

thing. Or do you just like the ideology of socialism. And and,…does that mean you limit
your choices, cause you’ve sort of made your mind up (sort of “made”a decision)and dare not
    deviate cause of your principles?

  86. If it looks like a duck quacks like a duck it must be a duck
Obama’s new health care plan = TAX ON LIVING

Just being alive you must pay this. NO IF AND OF BUT ABOUT IT THIS IS A TAX ON LIVING

  87. @Rasta

    ETNs, Extra Terrestrial Numbies! LOL

  88. Labels are dangerous. You tend to submit to mob thinking in order to “fit” into the group . . . to no one in particular.

As Groucho said, I refuse to join any group that would have me as a member (paraphrasing)

  89. @mike

Not necessarily. It can also be duck hunter with a duck flute imitating a duck wearing a duck suit. You get shot in the head you dupe.

This because I hate this duck parabel. Can’t you think of something else like “where there is smoke there is fire” or somtin instead of duck, duck, duck ,duck, duck…makes me crazy!

  90. The president says it irresponsible for people not to buy health care.

GOLDMAN SACHS STOLE 700 BILLION US TAX PAYERS MONEY ENOUGH TO PAY FOR EVERYBODY’S HEALTH CARE FOR TEN YEARS

THE GOVERNMENT IS JUST FULL OF RETARDS

    END THE FED

    Stay out of peoples life

  91. If its a duck hunter then its missing a key eliminate it doesn’t look like a duck

  92. It talks like bi-sexual peackock, it walks like a bi-sexual peackock, and it has no birtcertificate like a bi-sexual peackock still it is no peackock it’s Obama. You see how stupid that is?

Or it walks like dog and barks like dog but still it isn’t a dog it’s my parrot which I learned some tricks.

It acts like a monkey, talks like a monkey, dodges shoes like a monkey but it isn’t a monkey. Its Bush Junior.

    Bottemline stupid.

  93. @mike

With that one simple act, so many problems would resolve themselves, providing money became a store of wealth and not debt.

I would add: BRING OUR TROOPS HOME

  94. Any mandatory payments that can or will impose a punishment is a tax

  95. MOST DEFINITELY

    BRING OUR TROOPS HOME TODAY!!!!!!!

  96. @Dedo

“@Ilya,..when you say you’re a socialist,..does that mean you’ve joined a “gang” sort of tribal
thing. Or do you just like the ideology of socialism.”

It means egalitarianism – exactly what it has always meant. Equality. Freedom. The “state” acting only in the interests of the people as a whole. It’s not a difficult concept to comprehend.

It does NOT mean the elimination of private property or individual achievement – which is the big falsehood perpetrated by BOTH the “right” and left” of the current Plutocrat/Fascist system of the neo-liberal economic feudalists.

Spend an hour reading what a REAL constitution looks like,

    http://www.venezuelanalysis.com/constitution/title/1

and maybe you’ll understand where I’m coming from.

Because one thing is for damn sure: the path we are on right now leads only to suffering and destruction. It cannot be “fixed” or “regulated”. It is the path of eternal war – but you already know that.

  97. WTF happened to this forum?!

  98. @Ilya – No offense. I meant what I said: I find it interesting. And I referred to her as “First Lady” because it is her title as the President’s wife. Nobody is above criticism. I don’t understand it with Michelle. Seems that your criticism is that she is married to Obama and had the audacity to pitch her former city of residence to the Olympic committee. At least that’s what “she turned herself into an instrument of empire” hints at. I guess that no sitting US President or First Lady should pitch a US city to the Olympic committee until we are no longer an evil empire. Then, we can start using degrading language to go after the spouse of the new evil empire’s leader.

  99. Its slow . . . so for you guys

  100. Is it socialistic to build roads that all can travel? How about education for all? Does society as a whole benefit from these?

Obviously, I hope, these are ridiculous examples. While some individuals will pay more for these examples than others, as a result everyone, and I mean everyone will benefit.

I contend health care is the same. Do you stay in your job because you do not want to give up benefits? Even though you may have talents better utilized elsewhere . . . talents that may contribute to society as a whole?

Did you choose your parents? Poor you, you chose parents that could not provide adequate health care. Your choices are inferior . . . you will suffer and possibly die.

In a small village, all of us would come to the rescue of any of us. In a nation, we assume someone else will handle it.

they don’t do this shit by “accident”; they’re not trying to be “rockers”; and they’re not doing it just to “fuck with you”: they do it to let the rest of the clique know that “hey, I’m one of you, don’t worry”.

That may sound like a fucked up paranoid theory, but do the same google search and substitute any of the other names – Clinton, Bush, Cheney, Soros, Rockefeller…

Eventually you have to conclude that there are THOUSANDS of “coincidences” or, just maybe, it’s intentional.

CFR exists. Bilderburg exists. Chatham House exists. AIPAC exists. PNAC exists. CNAS exists. RAND Corp exists. I didn’t invent these soulless motherfuckers, they ARE, and they are all run by the exact same soulless vermin, cross-pollinating and handshaking their way into our daily lives, and converting us into non-functioning, “law-abiding” sheep.

And they will not fucking stop, ever, until they own everything and reduce us to semi-literate workers – think Walmart on a planetary scale.

You can think for yourself, you don’t need me to explain shit. What are the central bankers doing right now if not exactly that?

In conclusion: I have about as much respect and empathy for Mrs. Hopey McChange as I do for a fucking centipede.

I have noticed that we agree more than disagree. I still think the Tea Party is more about the disagreement with governance in general, but that is my “local” perspective. Locally, there is a general distrust that anything out of Washington is for the “good of the people.” My personal opinion is that Washington has been given ample opportunity. How much more do we endure? Actions speak volumes, but words and photo opts are meaningless.

  131. @ Dan –

” Locally, there is a general distrust that anything out of Washington is for the “good of the people.”

That’s good. There should ALWAYS be an element of distrust. And it’s completely appropriate now, especially. We are in the midst of at least a mini-depression, and we have people in Washington sabotaging any chance of getting the economy back on its feet.

“My personal opinion is that Washington has been given ample opportunity. How much more do we endure?”

A year is certainly more than enough time to enact at least financial reforms. That should’ve happened before anything else. But I think the bankers & Paulson knew that it wouldn’t happen if they incited panic before the general election. No politician wanted to be caricatured as voting against the “imminent collapse” of the entire system.

I don’t know how much more we can endure. My general sense is not much more. I only hope that when we snap, if we do it in a violent manner, we collectively decide to take our anger out on the private property of banks and corporations responsible for hijacking our system of government. I wish no personal harm on anyone or any politician. Politicians will fall in line if we can find a way to constructively snap.

  132. Oops, I meant voting FOR the “imminent collapse” . . . .

  133. @Mep

Disagree strongly. The elite bureaucrats and politicians are enablers of the banking cartel. They should be held accountable in some way.

  136. @Physical Gold Purchase

Very few people can afford to lay away 15 – 20% of their cash in bullion as insurance against currency devaluation. But the demand is there just the same.

Instead of screaming nauseatingly about physical purchases, bullion prices are all about the control of assets, not prices. The thing to upend the derivatives trade in the gold sector is a wild variance in interest rates.

Short term gold leases are in the negative, and have been for some time, so it suffices to watch changes in these rates, because like bonds, the price of a bullion lease can crash, meaning it can’t be sold into the market as interest rates rise.

The big worry is currency intermediation, which has long been handed over to the commercial banking sector, and is no longer the job of central banks to intermediate properly.

  137. you cannot do an end around folks…if you want change you need to end the fed system and take away the power they have over us…this has to be the primary goal ….all else is futility.

  138. @ Tofu – These people voted to unconstitutionally tax the bonuses of the AIG FP thieves once they saw how angry the entire country was over the bonuses! The money wasn’t returned, of course, but we saw how scared all of them looked and how eager they were to act once they realized how angry the country was.

Sustained anger, properly channeled WILL make politicians move. It can’t be sporadic.

  139. @Youri

Yeah, and the guy who directed that vaccine survey is Robert (Bob) Blendon — he’s on the Council on Foreign Relations… and was a “Kerry advisor” in 03/04.

From the CFR’s Global Health Update, 5 May 2009:

“As we have come to expect, Bob Blendon, of the Harvard School of Public Health was swift in producing polling data on American reactions to the H1N1 outbreak. Some of his findings illustrate just how steep the public education curve is for a fairly benign virus – we can only imagine what these numbers would look like if a genuinely virulent germ were in circulation.”

  142. Today, Pellegrini’s economic outlook for the next 5 to 10 years is a sobering one. He says the U.S. economy will groan under the weight of budget deficits, increased regulation and household debt. Europe will perform only slightly better, and Asian economic growth will outstrip that of the developed world. “There are going to be huge shifts in wealth around the globe,” he says. “I want to invest in that.”

Pellegrini says the U.S. stock market is likely to generate negative returns when adjusted for inflation. And the U.S. dollar will flag as an unrestrained Federal Reserve dispenses more money.

Have I given any indication that I support indefinite detention? You must realize that people are as complex as the world in which we live, right? Given that, it’s possible to “defend” some policies while standing against others, no? I don’t believe in complete loyalty to any politician. Indeed, the policy of indefinite detention is the result of having a party that chose not to think for itself, believes in authoritarian rule (as long as its party is in charge), and believes that intraparty disagreement over policies = weakness and treason.

You’re off your rocker, man. And of course the irony is that if the dipshits running the country had listened to what sociologists were saying about widening inequality and its consequences, we’d be better off for it. But, whatever. Feel free to mindlessly lash out.
