[Video] Robert Fisk on the Gulf ‘ditching the dollar’ in oil trade

Stacy Summary:  H/t @WL. Note that Stephen King, chief economist of HSBC is in this clip. HSBC of course has recently practically abandoned the US and UK for Asia. The host says, “It’s a New World Order!”

  1. As always.. REAL news from RT and Al Jazeera.

    So obvious!

    Great work btw!

  2. Robert watch out for low flying aircraft…

Things will unravel very fast for the US..as Max stated

Russia has surpassed the Middle East in oil production and futures. Why the focus on the Middle East? What source does Fisk draw from? No citation, no names, no banks mentioned–are we to believe that the Arabs are acting independent of the IMF/BIS hegemony?

  4. @frances … “Russia has surpassed the Middle East in oil production”

Correct .. how did you know that ?
I was planning that one for next week !
    ;-)

Also , the demand for oil in the East has surpassed that of the West also for the first time ever !

Alliance Oil sold bonds denominated in sdrs in June, 2009. The company is set to manage a huge reserve:

Wonder why Fisk threw gold in the basket of currencies?
Japanese yen and Chinese yuan, the euro, gold and a new, unified currency planned for nations in the Gulf Co-operation Council, including Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Qatar.

    yen, yuan, euro, plausible shit….

Why would the Independent put their reputation on the line on this one without source evidence?

Bill Gross named three likely events in his last essay: dollar devaluation, property abrogation, and capital destruction.

  9. What does that announcer mean there will be an “argument” over who that central bank will be? Is he seriously unaware of the role now being played by the IMF? – http://www.counterpunch.org/brown10022009.html

Not to mention the BIS. I thought Al Jazeera was more insightful than that.

  10. What’s with pointing out the NWO remark, Stacy? It’s obvious he didn’t mean to use the term the way some of your tinfoil hat-wearing audience do. Either you’re appeasing the Alex Jones crowd or you really meant it, either way, my respect for this site has diminished.

  12. “new world order” can be spelled without capital letters, you know

  13. “What you got is a true story and you know it because of the thunderous denials.” Makes sense. If you are having a secret meeting and some info leaks out, all those involved in the meeting will deny it naturally.

I have heard max disagree with some of alex jones shit before. This is not a tin foil hat site.

It is kinda frustrating when the gold bug crowd gets unjustly mixed with the tin-foil-hat crowd. I personally hate alex jones with a passion and will not watch any of his stuff.
