You have bought the propaganda hook, line and sinker. This was and never will be about humanitarian concerns. Whether Bush or any other President. IMO, it is neither this concern nor a tolerance of other cultures that was at issue at all!

Look beyond both of these points and beyond the partisan divide for the real answer.

frankly….it’s the chinese who require a manufacturing base and land transportation into the 21st century…that will imitate the western expansion through the use of fossil fuel…sad as it is…I personally would rather see them develop all those hidden alternative fuel sources of energy and fuel ( I rather like algae oil ) that the west and it’s corporations have shelved for far too long…but that’s not my decision…
