No body knows where he is and apparently nobody cares.
Yesterday it was “terrorism”, today it is “climate change denial” and tomorrow it is “creating anti bankers sentiment over the internet”.

  3. Looks like the Pentagon is set to ask for some more war financing:

If I were to write what I’m thinking, little alarm bells would probably go off at the NSA. I effing hate these people.

Too bad that Obama and Congress won’t tell the Pentagon that they must have “budget neutral” operations. Or tell them to start looking for that $2.3 Trillion that the DOD “lost” pre-9/11. Or force them to start kicking all of the cost-plus contractors out of Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan.

  7. Hi ya’ll,
I heard a guy by the name of Craig Hulet on Coast to Coast last night. He had a different take on the whole banking situation. He claims that the banks are preparing to move the fractional reserve bubble blowing machine out of the US, deny US citizens credit and set up shop over seas and basically start the whole process over again in Asia. He claims that by July ’10 all personal credit will be cut off, which will force US citizens to save and that will be the capital that will be lent over seas. I can kind of see this as a possibiltiy. Geithner is always saying we will have to get used to a lower standard of living and Obama campaigned on a theme of personal sacrifice.
Unfortunately you need a subscription to listen, but there is a summary of what he talked about:

  8. At least there is some sense of justice in Italy…..

Rashid Kahlid, a Pakistani national living in South
Africa, was in 2006 taken to an airport by SA custom officals,

Just remember that when watching 2010 WoldCup

    No justice for Kahlid.

Using this mechanism, corporations can clearly pass laws on the qt, completely bypassing parliament/congress or any form of democratic rule. 15. @Joe

Indeed carbon isn’t a main greenhouse gas Clouds and Water vapour are but we actualy don’t know everything about the weather system yet. Hell they can’t even predict the weather accurately for two days here so let alone they gonna tell us about the climate. It’s jus foolish we are still studying the whole system.

They just thought in the Club of Rome and the Bilderberg meeting it would be convient for them to make the human his own enemy by declaring one of the main sources of live as a poison. Plants breath carbon and make Oxygen. But you can tell donut that Oxygen is a poison they believe it as well the braindead fluor heads.

  16. @Joe . . . “Very well written and articulate.”

I didn’t write that. It was a copy and paste of the article I linked to at the end. If I had joined the Army, I would have been lucky to make buck private ;)

  18. Al Gore can be the prophet who brought us “The Message”.

“And I say unto thee, cast out your demons of energy consumption. It is more difficult for a driver of a Hummer to enter Heaven than a Green Peace activist to mate with a tree.”

Of course the above is absurd, but the notion of the earths future climate rising (or falling depending on your POV) to the status of religion is tantamount to Galileo defending his fact based view of the world against a religious concept of the world view.

Is that video of ‘Global warming Armageddon called off’ not on youtube… if not i wouldnt be surprised. Also i think mentioned before in the early to mid 20th century there was a cooling/cold decade even when carbon emissions were on the rise and had been for a while.
Its crazy to hear how easily accepted this global warming ‘religion’ is accepted around America. If you dont accept it for a fact then your written off as crazy or extreme right wing. PHD scientist Gore on the other hand knows everything there is about the environment.
interesting stuff though thanks for the video

  23. Hey Congress Grow a Spine on Israel

My letter to Congressman Tom Price

As a former company commander with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam, and a graduate of the National Security Course, National Defense University, Washington, DC and as a retired brigadier general who served active army duty in the Middle East, I ask you to break away from the strangling Israeli lobby, AIPAC, and do the right thing for peace in the Middle East. This Israeli lobby has been corrupting our politicians far too long and has resulted in more violence than ever between the Israelis and the Palestinians with no sign of any improvement in years ahead. In addition, the Israelis have nearly wiped Gaza and south Lebanon off the map with their disproportionate attacks.

I write to ask you to please vote no on H. Res. 867. This bill calls on President Obama to unequivocally oppose the Goldstone Report, but makes no mention of the administration’s call for a credible, independent Israeli investigation into Israeli conduct during Operation Cast Lead.

This bill flies in the face of the growing chorus of Israeli voices, across the political spectrum and in and outside of government, who understand that a credible Israeli investigation is in Israel’s best interest.

As your constituent I ask that you stand for the rule of law, defend the concerns of a wide spectrum of Israelis and help to bring some relief to the civilian population in the Gaza Strip. Please vote no on H. Res. 867.

Yup. Al Gore’s infamous chart comparing temperature and CO2 levels for example. The computer models were “tweaked” to produce the desired results. Independent verification by a multitude of expert scholars on the subject made a mockery of Gore’s science. The vast majority of scientists scoff at Gore’s “science.” Facts mean nothing. It is opinion and perception that make policy.

  29. @Joe@Dan II

The CO2 hoax is based on a very cranky computer model which you could describe more as computer animation same as with the 911 building bogus pancake computer animation. Because people refuse to think for themselves Walt Disney slips in.

From Ice samples 100% scientific evidence has been produced that CO2 levels rise after the earth has warmed up NEVER BEFORE. Here I am not even talking about the fact that the CO2 we produce isn’t even significant. Oceans take up CO2 but also can release it. Watch this docu Global Warming Doomsday Called Off http://tinyurl.com/yeba853

Ice mass actulaly increased and YES polar bears can swim, very good and long distances I may add to get their food. We are probably facing a Ice Age if the sun stays sluggish with NO SUNSPOTS.

We had a period of warming till 2005 or so but also on Mars, Jupiter and all the other planets so YES IT’S THE SUN but not surprisingly I may add. Only look at the scale of the sun in comparison with the earth for example http://media.photobucket.com/image/earth%20sun%20scale/ngeekhiong/HolmesSunEarthSize.jpg

I think people should get re-acquainted with the word “hypocrite.”

I agree. Even Greenpeace isn’t on board for the cap & trade bill which, they said is too ‘political’. Placing a tax on everything isn’t the best solution for incentive or disincentive, but government needs to get more taxes from somewhere to help finance its overstretched outreach.
Cap & Trade is just a tax scheme with no actual outlook for renewable energy growth. Maybe taking away government subsidies from big oil and placing them towards renewable energy growth would work.. still not sure though

    @Illya:
I thought I was the histrionic one?

  34. @Joe

CO2 emissions causing warming has been shown to be pseudoscience. It is actually the reverse – warming will raise CO2 levels.

We need responsible environmental policies. We do not need environmental policies that tax the masses to enrich the classes.

  35. Heard a parallel to actual carbon emissions via made made activities would equal the same amount as millions of other species emitting CO2 by breathing – you think the ice caps would melt because of a vibrant thriving life…

Could it possibly have something to do with the sun not as stable or predictable as Al Gore thinks it is

Well they are cause the global warming has no scientific backup and was invented by marketeers to get the global government. So it has notin to do with science thus a believe/religion.

Scientist are actual suing the evil doers because of the lack of scientific prove of this CO2 hoax. They cunningly changed the global warming in global change to save their criminal necks.

  55. 23 CIA agents, such a number, If you think about it, that van must have been stuffed full of CIA men. They can build a whole new prison wing if they lock all CIA men up in Italy. How did they split the tasks? 56. @youri

    Good post but,

You are copying the headline of the religous beliefs article. It gives the wrong suggestion that climate convictions are the same as religious beliefs. The ruling was that :

“If a person can establish he holds a philosophical belief based on science as opposed, for example, to religion, then there is no reason to disqualify it from protection.”

So the ruling was that scientific views should be protected as much as religious beliefs, not that they are the same.

  62. The CIA has bought two Soviet super-fighters on the black market of Eastern Europe, the famous Sukhoi Su-30 Flanker. The Flanker jet is hypermaneverable and can shoot down any western jet, even the F-22 Raptor in some circumstances. Russia has been giving these potent weapons to any states that are anti-USA, including Venezuela and China. The jet has even been flown in Paris. The deal is thought to be with Ukraine, where unscrupulous government officials are easily bribed and even sold nuclear capable Kh-55 cruise missiles to Iran and China.

The jets arrived in an unmarked military cargo plane that is not meant to draw attention. But these photos reveal two jets being unloaded and stored in a civilian hanger.

And not to mention the AMD shareholders that have lost significant money due to this type of behaviour .. not to even mention AMD’s losses which are IMO in the 10′s of Billions of US$s.

  70. @phil

Knuth is the algorithm guy. The problem is, that type of algorithm doesn’t translate to the massively parallel systems of the near future. I vote for Danny Hillis of Thinking Machines fame. He invented genetic algorithms which in IMO is the future which will eventually get us to AI.

Google will probably get to AI first at the rate they’re going. They try to pretend that AI is not their ultimate goal, but I don’t believe them. I think Google has always been about AI right from the start.

The other possibility is that some financial program like HFT will get so smart that it will make the jump to AI. And don’t think they don’t have that as a goal. Just imagine a HFT system that could also analyze the latest news – like Fed announcements – and take into account the human psychology of trading. It would be able to adapt to changes within microseconds and wouldn’t rely on hard coded algorithms. The algorithms would adapt and evolve like a real living, breathing organism.

There. I’ve spilled my guts. This is my working thesis for the next 20 years. After that comes the AI Singularity and all bets are off.

  78. @Youri …. The Part about Xerox:

    Yep … Xerox PARC !

The Star was the first Mac – ca. 1980 !
The only problem was it was damn expensive.
It was an A4-paper sized screen, mouse, GUI, microprocessor etc. It’s only funtion was Text Processing.

I used to get furious about Xerox’s advertising “Office of the future” … while they continued selling the paper-based products.
i.e. They had everything in place .. and management did exactly NOTHING !
I remember doing the analysis for top manegement on the Japanese ( Fuji Xerox ) copyright running out in 1977.
Management was in state of panic ..especially when my analysis showed that more than 50% of the rental “machines in field” ( MIF ) were exposed to being lost to Japaneses competition – Oce, Canon etc. The decision to offer them “for sale” was basically based purely on my numbers, because nobody in management wanted to take the responsibility. It turned out my numbers were right !
DAmn shame … PARC was way ahead of it’s time .. but management were more interested in whether they got their VP status and company shares rather than taking a leading role in running the company.
BTW.. last time I looked in the 1980S, the had 250+ VPs !
    FWIW

  81. In addition to the day-to-day volatility that has become customary on the stock markets since the Great Bailout of ’08, we now have huge micro-volatility. Is this the HFT (high frequency trading) by Goldman and others affecting the markets on a sub-second scale?

If you look at the charts recently, it looks like Goldman has set limits on the market and when it hits those it stops on a dime and changes direction. Maybe I’ve just got a conspiratorial mind, but it looks like there is massive manipulation of the markets going on.

That plus the PPT trying desperately to suppress the price of gold and keep the markets afloat to convince the average investor that everything is normal – when it’s anything but!

  82. @ Phil – Exactly. That’s the kind of thinking that needs to be eradicated. He basically said that those who have the power to intervene in fraud and criminal activity should waive their rights and responsibilities to do so, because such intervention constitutes intervening in the markets–the markets which are “making the decisions.” It totally slips the minds of the market fundamentalists that all who participate in the markets have little choice in making decisions when the people empowered to step in and stop crime don’t do so.

  83. @phil

Did you know Alan Kay? He’s my hero. One of the greatest pioneers of computer science. A truly original thinker and an American treasure. Where would we be without him? Still using punch cards or paper tape?

I did see that hiccup you refer to in the markets. I thought it was a mistake at first. I feel so sorry for those people fully invested in the market the past few years.

One factor that I heard about recently (but can’t remember where) is that foreign investors are buying US stocks because the weak dollar makes them attractive. Does that make sense? Would they be able to buy stocks in dollars easily? Or is this something only the big boys could take advantage of? Oh well, it’s just interesting to think that a weak dollar could drive up US stock prices.

100% correct … I knew a few of them personally – Bernold, Ryan, and even got an award from Glavin for my software research work. Steve Jobs had an interview with him as well , and Glavin was reported to have said .. “he’s too young and arrogant “.
There were great engineers and research scientists there , but unfortunately too many yes men in management ( 70′s – 80′s ). Damn shame , because they could have easily been the Intel + Apple + HP of today !

Bad Apple: Five Classic Apple Marketing Tactics That Lock You In
When you buy an Apple device, you’re often locked in to buying other Apple products that are compatible with it. Here are five examples, and some advice on what to do. Oh, wait–there’s nothing you can do.
    Dan Tynan, PC World

    http://www.pcworld.com/article/181200/bad_apple_five_classic_apple_marketing_tactics_that_lock_you_in.html

The most ironic part is that when Apple started out in business, their big aim was to “kill the Big Blue monopoly”.
… only to practice the same tricks themselves.

Did you know – at the beginning – that people camped on their grounds offering to work for nothing (1970/80′s ) !

The even more ironic part is that of Xerox …
… Apple managed to grab their top 20 Engineers to produce the Lisa, and then the Mac.

    Xerox invented :
    The GUI
    The Mouse
    Ethernet
    Ink-Jet Technology
… and basically let everyone else profit from it.

IIRC; they gave the InkJet tech . to HP , who nows makes more “Ink Jet Revenue” than Xerox’s total revenue !
    … which is why I left !

IMO, not directly … except that the more “foreign particles” that are distributed into the higher atmosphere is obviously going to change the system’s balance.
How much .. is another question.

BTW .. all these claims that Govts. can control the weather are just crazy IMO. Yes, they can affect the weather maybe – short term – but they will NEVER have anything powerful enough to “control” it.

  104. warburg sidney

Phil, could the so called chemtrails/ contrails, that people see all over the world, have something to do with your observation of “more volatility occurring”?

  105. @Youri … facts

Well, maybe I’m biased after watching so many Germany 2012-related Documentaries on the subject.

OTOH, I predicted this some 20 years ago due to just watching the weather … being a yacht sailor helps as well ( you tend watch the weather very closely .. every day).
I predicted that there is more volatility occurring for whatever reasons. Thx to Internet articles, I’ve begun to understand why … as well as doing 101 in Meteorology.

    A combination of
    a) WW energy consumption and output
    b) Sun’s normal cycles
    c) 2012 getting closer, thus affecting Sun’s behaviour

    (a) adds energy to our system, that would have otherwise remained dormant. It’s no wonder that climate patterns change and hence the weather becomes more volatile.

Does anyone know why the Jet Stream has decided to move more to the north of the European Continent BTW ?

  106. @ Phil – RE: the shutting of of services, if the information you’ve posted is correct, then that will be easy enough to work around. We all can “infringe,” have our services shut down, and watch with bowls of popcorn in our laps to see how long it takes global commerce to melt down. Any kind of law such as you describe would be completely suicidal for Corporate America and global commerce. I half-hope that they pursue it.

  111. Leaked ACTA Internet Provisions: Three Strikes and a Global DMCA
    …Source: Electronic Frontier Foundation

The internet chapter of the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement, a secret copyright treaty whose text Obama’s administration refused to disclose due to “national security” concerns, has leaked. It’s bad. It says:

    * That ISPs have to proactively police copyright on user-contributed material. This means that it will be impossible to run a service like Flickr or YouTube or Blogger, since hiring enough lawyers to ensure that the mountain of material uploaded every second isn’t infringing will exceed any hope of profitability.

    * That ISPs have to cut off the Internet access of accused copyright infringers or face liability. This means that your entire family could be denied to the internet — and hence to civic participation, health information, education, communications, and their means of earning a living — if one member is accused of copyright infringement, without access to a trial or counsel.

    * That the whole world must adopt US-style “notice-and-takedown” rules that require ISPs to remove any material that is accused — again, without evidence or trial — of infringing copyright. This has proved a disaster in the US and other countries, where it provides an easy means of censoring material, just by accusing it of infringing copyright.

    * Mandatory prohibitions on breaking DRM, even if doing so for a lawful purpose (e.g., to make a work available to disabled people; for archival preservation; because you own the copyrighted work that is locked up with DRM)

  112. @Phil

To get back at the 2012 seriously…I like to stick as much to what we know and can see. Web bot is still in my investigation fase like many other subjects regarding what is real and the truth.

We only know their are no sunspots where they normaly should be. We have a weaker magnetic field with a vew holes in it. How did these holes get their? I know the wholes on the ozon layer where caused by the fools letting some neutron bombs explode in the upper atmosphere. I wouldn’t be surprised if these magnetic wholes where caused by the electromagnteic pulse of these bombs.

The ozon layer was used against humanity just like the CO2 bogus is now. The fools have to stop experimenting with thing they don’t completely understand. They play with our and nature lives.

It’s not clear if there will be a sudden outburst of sunflares later together with strong electromagnetic radiation that to is speculation.

We also must take into account that this magnetic field has been changing always but now they know more about it they tend to make all kinds of Armageddon speculation on the new known facts.

Regarding CIA, they seem to have more arrogance than brains. They watched too many Bond films perhaps.

  117. @ AM – Well, our indifference to torture and kidnapping shouldn’t come as such a surprise. We don’t believe in human rights and international law. Most recent proof, the fucking disgrace that is HR 867, which passed overwhelmingly in the House last night:

    http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h2009-838

My Congressman lost my vote for his vote on this. THIS is the last straw for me. If I can’t have the confidence in knowing that my Congressman has an understanding of human rights and international law, then I can’t have confidence in any of his other judgments.

  118. Sheesh … what amateurs … don’t they watch their own Hollywood films or what ? … Covert Idiots Anonymous
    ;-)

  119. @stacy like i said lower ranks; architects and people in think tanks that have written/lobbied the policy get away with it. And ever looked in the KBR/halliburton? this is like madoff, a drup compared to what really is going on. I don’t justify torture or that those people participated (they should ve refused orders; yet like the nuremberg trials the brains behind the machine get away with it), that was my point actually: a station chief is not a high rank/architect he just follows orders, like max said today: these things can happen because people want their bowl of soup for the day without moral consent.

  120. @AM – some of the agents were station chiefs; and I’m not sure how many of the 23 were actually private contractors, I know some of those involved were; as were one or two military officers

  121. they roast the lower ranks but architects like cheney, rumsfeld, rove and so on get away with it partially due to the “retro active immunity” (quite funny; saying what ever we did this administration we can’t get prosecuted for it). and former government? i thought reuters sent out news memo’s before it even happens, like building 7 on 9/11 guess they didnt got the one where obama leaves in tact these kind of practises. Yet a very small victory for justice, although it is ridiculous that torture/kidnapping is tolerated upside down world if we have to celebrate these things.
