Yes, she’s been made a fool of.
The German workers are up in arms about the nullification of the Magna deal and are going to protest.
Seems to me they were very happy with the new deal, and don’t want their old masters back … which I can understand .
The general opinion here is that Opel has been milked for it’s profits and R&D by the mother company , and would do far better on it’s own – to which I also agree.
The Govt. gave Open 1.5 Bio. Euros short-term loan due to the Magna deal – half of which as already been spent. Another 4.5 Bio. Euros was assured based on the Magna deal going through.
BTW .. some months ago, it was said that GM owed Opel ca. 2 Bio.$ in unpaid R&D invoices AFAIK ! Haven’t heard about that since then !

Releasing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is like dropping ink in a swimming pool and being able to clean it out only from the sides (above the biosphere there is about 30 km of CO2 reservoir that seldom circulates). You can see that even if you clean only from the sides (however you do it), the pool will go darker if you keep adding ink, and stay dark a long time.

Merkel deserves some chastizement, but to do that on russian tv, a country with which she has an intimate bond (she speaks fluent russian) is less helpfull in maintaining european coherence. It also mixes corporate piratery with the intentions of the sovereign state (US, Germany) which is a simplification that has often led to war.
The soner the monetary system collapses and we get rid of the central banks the better, so you’all buy gold!
