@ Stacy – Yes, it was his first day in China. I don’t know if I saw his whole townhall w/ the students; I saw much of it, though. When he mentioned that America respects and upholds international law, my stomach turned. Comments about being a fan of free-flowing info. and the like bothered me, too. If the US still believed in that, we wouldn’t have state secrets, the Patriot Act, and stuff like refusing to release torture photos going on. I don’t remember how he answered the question about the US selling arms to Taiwan, but it was clear that was a big concern of the people (the question got the loudest applause) and that Obama didn’t give a straight answer. And, oh, “We do not seek to impose any system of government on any other nation, but we also don’t believe that the principles that we stand for are unique to our nation.” — LOL!!!
The students clearly enjoyed the visit. That’s great. But I felt sickened watching and listening to the perpetuation of American myths. (We value human rights?! LOL! Goldstone report? Iraq? Afghanistan? Torture? Health care “reform” in the US?) Perhaps that’s inevitable, though. We’ll likely never have a straight-shooting President who avoids such myths and all out lies. Aren’t the myths, after all, what keep societies and all of their institutions going?

Gartman say who cares if Gold is manipulated.
This is why the whole financial system must crash and crash properly.
Traders (as opposed to investors) all know ALL markets are rigged and they just ‘play the game’. It has less and less to do with fundamentals. In fact, even the word fundamentals is a dirty word in the markets these days.
Such markets have no real basis and will eventually die, that is why gold is going up.
There are millions of people in the world betting on up and down of ‘whatever’. They don’t really care. Its just a game built on flasehoods. Most traders, like Gartman, says will just play until the music stops.
