If I seem harsh, it is that the time is short and that the avenues for voice are being choked off by the authorities, by the msm, and by the alternative ‘free’ media. I haven’t tried to choke anyone’s perspective and have only laid claim to my own views as a personal perspective.
People censor themselves when they do not read for meaning but only to cheer on a preconceived notion that has become a religious adherence: say gold, or climate change for instance.
The new scam is a bit different that the old. The latest scam is that there are certain ‘special’ people who are privey to information available in secret transmission from an elite base. The scammers refuse to bring forth those on whom they rely for information; there are no names as to the givers of the special truth. IF a person stands apart from this Team Effort, then they are accused of “pissing on the heroes”.
We don’t have an economy. It has become a living theatre: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and everyone is hoping they have the Golden Ticket.

@phil – I read through the tungsten gold article. A rather painful experience. I did see what you were talking about with respect to the BRIC nations.
The problem is that people are thinking in an anachronistic way about nations. The Elite pledge no allegiance to any nation. China is a tool – a proxy – that is being used by the Elite to drain the power from the US.
Have you ever in history seen a nation hand over power without a fight? And yet that is exactly what is happening with the US with respect to China. We have exported all our manufacturing technology over to them. Just handed it to them. We even export military technology to China via Israel. This is well known. We have been betrayed by our Elite, led by David Rockefeller. Jimmy Carter was a good man, but he was used by Rockefeller like a puppet for his purposes.
I don’t think Obama knew the depth of evil into which he was stepping when he accepted the role of the POTUS handed to him by the Elite. (The elections were a farce.) He knew he was selling his soul, but he didn’t know how evil the people were that he was selling it too. I think it is slowly dawning on him. He made a comment at the Great Wall which I think reflects the depth of despair which is overcoming him.

If you bought gold in dollars and the reserve currency is change from dollars and the dollar is destroyed you dont lose money – you just retain the value of what you put into the metal. Gold value is reflective by currency value. So if you have $30,000 in dollars of gold and the new currency values that in say ‘x’ amount of new currency you get the that amount effectively saving your earning against any devaluation

So now the Americans first buy Yuans and than buy the oil. If the oil sellers accept this of cause which the will cause the U.S. got a (atomic or not) gun to their head.

My thoughts: The propsition is “You need a world reserve currency” but in fact you don’t! You only need a stable currency which you don’t have now wit this global crises turmoil. That’s why gold is going up. it’s a global currency confidence issue not only a dollar confidence issue.
The Americans made the dollar a world currency by the deal they’ve made with the the oil producing countries that it all would be done in dollars. Now the dollar is deliberately destroyed you can trade in any currency you want. The only thing you want as a seller is that the currency you recieve is rather stable so you don’t have to worry about it the next day, that’s all.
If the Americans want to get the Yuan higher why they don’t start trading and paying their oil in Yuans? The Yuan would go up immediately.

ME: Regarding Tungsten, does it matter if the story is true or not? The uncertainty will infect the price, probably pushing it higher on certified stocks of one kind whilst damaging the value of the stocks of others. Isn’t this just hedonic’s and therefore to be expected.

The question of value as a function of price is one we all assume to be inherently tied to some magical order within the structure of the civilized “world”. It has become as a second nature to pull out a plastic card and swipe the card for goods denominated in dollars. But now the QUESTION of value as a function of price may introduce itself due to a massive deficit incurred by the bearer countries of two currencies within the dollar value index: the dollar and the pound. China’s refusal to cooperate indicates that an orderly progression of events will not occur. The point that Phil made about an imbalance in the currency trade is accurate. The way the ptb plan to deal with the issue in not through a focus on mediation with currencies, but through a focus on mediation of export and import quotas through carbon emission quotas and a new international financial regulatory structure. The point Stiglitz made about GDP is prominent to the argument. GDP is no longer a functioning signifier for the new international financial order.
Thinking ahead is anybody’s guess. My own perspective is skewed by my lack of schooled understanding of finance, but my perspective is not marred by any vested interest or bias. With this caveat, I will say that the hope of gold as a means of stored wealth or viable exchange medium in future is not great. The failure of the press to even report the sdr-manipulations ongoing by the central banks coordinated through the IMF/BIS is rather telling. The question of a new price system outside the dollar value index has not been addressed. It is ASSUMED that the system will continue to operate: but if the financial structure is moribund, then the price structure is also questionable. When it gets right down to it, the truth is that the only thing upholding gold as a sure investment into the future is hope.
What I have learned in my life is that hope kills, not instantaneously but by degrees. Holding onto the hope of gold to me is investing in a system that will not operate in the future. But choice does not make itself readily known. So, Mr. OzziePete, you must be the judge!

Now what if a deal has already been struck for a new world reserve which would effectively revalue these metals etc (and we hold them)do we all lose money?

My thesis is that there is a plan to blow up the US economy. The first shot from a two barrel shotgun was the 2008 crisis and bailout. Typical neo-liberal shock doctrine type stuff. Cut all services to the bone. Privatize everything. Raise taxes. De-regulate everything.
The global central bankers know this is coming. Do you notice the way Bernanke’s voice shakes whenever he is testifying like he’s afraid that someone will discover the truth of this game and expose it?
Power will be transferred to China. You already see this happening with Obama kowtowing before the Chinese. The big question mark is the US military. It is that military superiority which gives the US its current economic power, not any economic strength. Obviously.
At the right time the dollar will be exploded, China will let the yuan float, SDR of Bancor will become international reserve currency. Central Banks are acting accordingly including buying up Gold. Another big question is how much gold does the US actually have. And will the US be forced to pay its debts to China in Gold and other hard assets?
I’m actually a little disappointed in Max that he has not drawn similar conclusions by this time himself. It seems obvious to me that the transfer of power to China is no accident and has been happening for the past 30 years.
