  1. Fatties Rule … LOL !

Maybe they will now do Fat Swaps … or better still….

Good News for Fatties … Life Insurance could go down significantly if you agree to allow your fat to be sold on the black market.
Timmy now knows where all that money went …. they ate it !
    ;-)

  2. The more I read about this the more convinced I am that I will not be alive in 4-5 yrs time… impossible. This crisis will kill us all!

  3. @Phil

Dude, you practically stole my next Fatties comment ;-)

  5. No. The banks are working on complying with the new directives out of BIS:

    http://www.bis.org/press/p090907.htm

    http://www.euroweek.com/Article/2345468/73714/Central-bank-mandate-to-tinker-wont-fix-broken-capital-buffers.html

How can one lend when the agenda is an adherence to a set capital ratio defined as:

“Consequently, the G20 has agreed on the need for counter-cyclical capital buffers which will build up during the good times and run down in the bad, hopefully moderating this boom-bust effect.
Officially, policymakers have for the time being delegated devising the precise form of the capital buffers and the indicators used to calibrate them to the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, but they have indicated their thinking in their public pronouncements.”

New capital ratio regulations for US banks set to be mandated January 01, 2010.

  6. FYI for thos that may be invested in CEF
I contacted the Central fund of Canada about the tungsten counterfeit bar story and i got this answer:

We want you to be an informed investor. That means that before you buy shares of Central Fund, you should at least know what you are investing in. If you have read some of our prospectus and our financials statements, you should understand that we do not hold coins and that we actually have all of the gold and silver that we say we have in 400 and 1,000 ounce bars. Our documents state this.

The story about the counterfeit tungsten bars is just that – a story. There may or may not be any truth to it. It may not contain any facts. And, it has nothing to do whatsoever with Central Fund.

Central Fund obtains all of its gold and silver bullion from Canadian refiners – only in Canada – and they are not the ones in question.

All of Central Fund’s gold bars have been delivered to the custodian directly from Canadian based refiners who

are certified to produce London Good Delivery Bars by The London Bullion Market Association.

The gold and silver bullion is always held on an unencumbered, allocated and segregated basis. It is also subjected to physical inspection

on at least an semi-annual basis by Ernst & Young LLP and Central Fund representatives in the presence of bank officials.

  7. @marietta – thanks for sharing that info!

  8. Cut Wall Street Out! How States Can Finance Their Own Economic Recovery

Pouring money into the private banking system has only fixed the economy for bankers and the wealthy; it has not done much to address either the fundamental problem of unemployment or the debt trap so many Americans find themselves in.

President Obama’s $787 billion stimulus plan has so far failed to halt the growth of unemployment: 2.7 million jobs have been lost since the stimulus plan began. California has lost 336,400 jobs. Arizona has lost 77,300. Michigan has lost 137,300. A total of 49 states and the District of Columbia have all reported net job losses.

In this dark firmament, however, one bright star shines. The sole state to actually gain jobs is an unlikely candidate for the distinction: North Dakota. North Dakota is also one of only two states expected to meet their budgets in 2010. (The other is Montana.) North Dakota is a sparsely populated state of less than 700,000 people, largely located in cold and isolated farming communities. Yet, since 2000, the state’s GNP has grown 56 percent, personal income has grown 43 percent and wages have grown 34 percent. The state not only has no funding problems, but this year it has a budget surplus of $1.3 billion, the largest it has ever had.

  10. Gordon Brown pledges to update monarchy

    http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/142506/Gordon-Brown-pledges-to-update-monarchy

The reason i am posting this is that there was an internet rumour a month or so ago…that there are problems with the UK monarchy. I did not believe it at that time…

  11. 1 m USD per deployed solder in Afghanistan is probably quite modest considering some Americans “Lifetime Cost to Government” …

    http://cbc.am/Total-cost-to-goverment.ods
    http://cbc.am/Total-cost-to-goverment.xls

That said, do most Americans now fit in the category of being able to pay off lifetime government costs +1 USD?

I don’t think so, and this should not be of surprise to anyone.

That is why the USD will be kaput in less than 5 years, but maybe as little as 2.

  12. @MotherEarth:
What is wrong with smoking pot?

  13. @doomandgloom .. Monarchy

…He is determined to scrap the ban on heirs to the Crown marrying Roman Catholics and the lack of equal rights for women.

Critics accused the Prime Minister of trying to divert attention from his Government’s dire popularity.

Mr Brown attacked the Act of Settlement – the 1701 statute governing royal succession – during Prime Minister’s Questions yesterday.

He told MPs: “The Act of Settlement is outdated, and I think most people recognise the need for change.”

However, royal officials insisted the Palace was not involved in Mr Brown’s plans, saying they were “a British Government initiative”.

Sounds like a diversion to me.
OTOH, I thought they’d already allowed the Monarchy to marry Catholics ?

Dread the thought of the Catholic Church reclaiming the lands it was robbed of during Henry VIII’s reign.
The Church already owns 1/3rd. of all German land…. thanks mainly to Hitler for introducing the Church Tax… which Germans still have to pay today – or quit their Church membership ( as many are doing and have done already ).
Church Tax is 11% on top of your income tax.
e.g. if your income tax is 20,000, then you add another 2,200 for the Church.

Important films should not be censored by Amazon!, November 20, 2009
By Ivan R. Martin “Ivan M.” (New York City, USA)

…It is regrettable that a movie which examines this issue with such detail and clarity is being blocked from further sale by Amazon.com. They cite “performance issues” as the justification, but the seller has ample proof that he far exceeds the performance standards. This smacks to me of thinly veiled censorship….

    Amazing episode ! Great job

  19. “Are you overweight?”

That depends on what you term over-weight. Stella is a might hefty. Cleetus is downright obtruse. Pa is packing a six-too-much overhang on his belt buckle. Ma is perty but runs to celluloid.

But they say “howdy” and gots some fried turkey awash in gravy and chittlins. They saved you the gizzard.

  23. Looming behind the 17 million jobless tsunami hitting the country is another disaster: over $180 billion in accumulated budget deficits set to devastate state governments, according to a new study by the Pew Center for the States.

The Economic Policy Institute (EPI) says in addition, city and town governments are expected to have deficits of $100 billion over the next two years.

This threatens a calamity like the one playing out in California. Many states face horrendous cuts to education, health care, mass transit and other human service programs, skyrocketing taxes and fees that will severely slow any economic recovery …

Holy Cow! The gangs in Peru have transitioned to a whole new meaning of “whale hunting”. So … from one mammal to another, soon blood drives will be competing with fat drives.

  25. Niko, nothing you posted holds up as an honest attempt to understand or address anything I said so I’m not going to engage in an argument with someone in denial. Goes nowhere.

Speaking of denial, perhaps if Christians could accept the theory of evolution, the fact that we are animals, and the fact that we actually die, as in die die, not go to fantasy land die, then we’d be on a more even footing with psycho billionaires who have no problem accepting those realities.

But then Christians have a hard time understanding that empathy forms a basis for morality. That I don’t need to be threatened with eternal suffering or enticed with eternal happiness in order to consider the consequences my actions will have on others. And they’ve fallen into the wonderful habit of referring to themselves as believers and thus it follows, to those with different beliefs as having no beliefs whatsoever and therefor being non-persons. Does pushing Atheists aside as non-persons in pre-emptive defense of beliefs unsupportable by reason sound like part of the solution?

I mention Christianity because the “leaders” of this non-movement seem to be bound by Christianity’s paradigms if not it’s practices. This might help explain why their solutions all entail profits for them. They see themselves as above and separate from the problems, and wish for a world in which their particular strengths are unusually well rewarded. It reminds me of the MIT professor who proposed innovism.

Admittedly I wasn’t prepared for Max saying he gave Obama the benefit of the doubt or to find that Catherine Austin Fitts doesn’t believe in Evolution, or that Alex Jones who cooked up an absolutely absurd, rude, false and un-fact checked piece about the death of “Dark Alliance” author Gary Webb would end up in the mix of “leaders”. That’s a sure way to delegitimize good information. Put Alex Jones’ name on it.

The religion born out of Rome’s uninspired fatalism isn’t going bring anything to the table that banksters aren’t prepared for. And nothing I post here is going to get through anyone’s denial.

That’s the enemy. Not fiat currency. Denial.

  26. One of the best shows with you two I’ve seen! And I watch them all! Congrats!

  27. @Daniel S

Are you the enemy, Daniel ?..oh, denial, sorry ’bout that, am a bit dyslectic…

But I completely agree. A functioning society has teachers that help others survive. The current business model does the complete opposite. It’s a is a bit like dolphins hunting tune: Everybody helps confuse the prey, then each takes turn in the killing process. Consumers are tuna hunted to extinction.

It’s funny how religious people behave exactly the same as atheist when it is about survival. If not the religious person usually acts more suicidal. In all cases you can qualify religion as mental selfincarceration habit conditioned by imagined threaths and rewards.

  36. daniel S–

I too, am always shocked to find that seemingly honest brokers and rational people hold and openly proclaim highly irrational beliefs.

Denninger “It’s in the math” comes to mind. Katherine Austin and her “prey with me” moments too…

But we had Nancy Reagan and her Astrologist and Bill Clinton and his self-deluded innocence… so it isn’t all crosses and stairways to heaven and alter boys with their pants pulled round their ankles recieving a mass…

Can one call it denial or is it more accurately coined “delusion”?

Supergeek– Yes, believing in something does not make it true or not true. The arrogance of humans is galling, while the truth remains stubbornly true.

  37. @Scott
“A human being is a part of a whole, called by us _universe_, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest… a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” -Einstein

  38. @scott “Keynesian Kool-Aid

Keynes was smarter than his followers–he knew u had to run a surplus when you weren’t deficit spending

  39. Mother Earth, one of my problems with religions that promise heaven or hell is how they encourage people to consider their own personal scorecards rather than results. It reduces their real lives to practice runs or qualifiers for the later promised imaginary life. It’s as if they believe they’re living in a movie, continually suspending belief in reality. As long as they pretend and “try” God will give them a ticket and things will be grand for them when they get to fantasy land. In the mean time they support their enemies who control the biggest sticks, and enjoy the best carrots here in real world with the only life they’ll actually live.

In the end I’ve come to believe that prolonged searches for the truths of our existence, meaning, purpose, boil down to denial of the truths we discover but dislike. I mean, if Buddhists can call death the great teacher and spend countless hours pondering it only to try to sneak out of it via the denial that is reincarnation, then obviously humans have a hard time accepting the truth.

On the one hand the banksters are called liars and they are. But they are more honest with themselves than their victims. And since their victims support them in so many ways, in action, their victims are dishonest. It is dishonest when a Christian shops at a big box store. But I shouldn’t literalize their fantasy. It is only to be taken literally when it suits them. God isn’t watching when they routinely finance sweat shops via their shopping, investing, banking, and pressuring others to value the superficial.

While China has kept any Tiananmen Square-sized demonstrations from breaking out, it has continued to suppress independent unionism with firings and arrests. Moreover, it has used its-U.S. assisted technological prowess to convert China into the society with the heaviest surveillance via closed-circuit video cameras and Internet monitoring designed to quash dissent

Tim Ball attack peer review science. He view it as a 20 year conspiracy. But what would he say if I on my own declared mmgw real? He would say ‘Your data is not verified’. That is what peer review guarantees.

The battle against the climate change deniers will not be lost, but the victors may have little spoils to celebrate.

  47. @phil

She is a force for good in the world ;-)

  48. marietta, if the gold is seized by the government, it won’t matter whether or not it was actually in that underground CIBC vault in Calgary. Also, unless your brokerage essentially lends you money ahead of trades clearing, it will take three days at a minimum to liquidate that position or any portion of it. Combine that with possible bank holidays or limits on withdrawal amounts, and you can see how the gold and silver aren’t entirely yours when they’re held via an ETF.

Then there is the fact that Ernst & Young LLP settled ahh I forget the scam, it’s google’able. Then again Catherine Austin Fitts referred to ratings given by the same fraudsters who gave great ratings to mortgage derivatives without even looking at the tapes, in her recent reassuring summary about Canadian banks. so… I’m too tired to do the whole rationalization thing with that.

In my opinion there is no secure way to hold bullion because the world is too unstable and criminal. The holders of bullion are too few and within societies that are too ill.

  49. classic, fright-wig selloff underway in Gold and Markets just as all retail American markets close and foolish speculators and traders think they will be granted one day of peace away from the Keno Monster.

Think again. anyone long is going to wakeup to the Trinity blast ground zero on Friday.

Now that gamblers from around the World are gaming the Keno table 24/7, there is no rest, no peace, no security at anytime. If Jesus came down from Heaven, traders would take on huge positions while he was sermonizing in anticipation of the outcome.

Doctor in Brooklyn: The universe is expanding?
Alvy: Well, the universe is everything, and if it’s expanding, someday it will break apart and that would be the end of everything!
Alvy’s Mom: What is that your business?  [she turns back to the doctor] He stopped doing his homework!
    Alvy: What’s the point?

  54. If anything, the guy from Der Spiegel is too kind. Both these wars are unmitigated disasters and we are now in the pride zone or Kissinger Zone of the Living Dead. The war leaders and architects do not want to admit utter failure and so the country will play in this graveyard indefinitely until the money runs out and the little boys with their guns and uniforms have to go home.

I am sick of all the respect accorded these sadists and violence-mongers. Their way of life has got to be challenged at some point but this is naive since it is in fact far too late for any of that. The 60s saw the last vestiges of genuine disgust with the robo-killers that siphoned off trillions in tax dollars to go murder and screw and maim Vietnamese. Then they returned and we have been forced to ingest dozens of movies and sound bites about how difficult it was for these killers and buffoons. An Empire always will defend the honor and might of its military. This is the last and most sacred cow.

The kids in the military today are not drafted. They are stooges and idiots who beleived all the advertisements on Monday Nite Football about ‘Army of One’ and other horse manure. They elected to fight in a mercenary army for oil and gas corporations. And yet ‘progressives’ out of fear and their need to be popular are the very first to defend these dolts and uneducated yahoos. Disgusting. The culture of violence in Amerika is now so inbred, there is no turning back. Only a coming implosion.

Most folk need leaders, so I wouldn’t knock it, if it works.

There are many systems for society, but it seems the established ones have a firm grip!

  77. Re: The church in Ireland, the reason it’s making the news is that hundreds if not thousands of courageous people have come forward and gone through considerable bother to bring these people to light and in some cases justice, if anything its some good news coming out of this spectic isle.

Another interesting point ca. @19:00 mins. , is that they talked about the FED maybe having to raise interest rates to 21.5% eventually. This is exactly what happened in the UK ca. 1971 , after the UK pound was hit.
    FWIW

  81. @Mother Earth – except, we didn’t talk about the Iran situation, we talked about Afghanistan and a bit about Iraq; and war has everything to do with the financial situation of a collapsing empire; it always does

  82. @Stacy … and war has everything to do with the financial situation of a collapsing empire; it always does

May I also underline that !

  83. @Phil – yes you may! I specifically wanted to do an episode dealing with the war because other than Bill Maher, nobody has . . . but I also wanted to get that info about the transfer of reconstruction funds back to US via one of the biggest hawallah outfits in Dubai . . . would have done it in a documentary for aljaz or the like, but too busy with our weekly shows at moment . . . anyway, it’s just as bad for a few well connected ‘contractors’ to use DoD connections to defaud as a few insider bankers using Fed & Treasury connections to defraud taxpayers . . . but oddly almost zero outrage . . . probably has something to do with ‘support our troops’ . . . even if they are blackwater

  84. LOL .. London Stock Exchange trading hit by technical glitch

The LSE says it was experiencing connectivity issues

Trading on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) was halted for three and a half hours earlier because of technical difficulties.

The LSE said it had been affected by connectivity issues, and at 1033 GMT had placed all orders for shares into an “auction call period”.

This allowed traders to put orders to buy or sell shares into the system, ready for when trading restarted.

  85. Iraq and Afghanistan cannot be looked at singularly.
Iran boders with Iraq on its west side and Afghanistan on its east side.
They tell us that the troops are being sent to Afghanistan but they will surely be used in Iran.

Why are there so many tanks in Afghanistan?

    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/Afghanistan/article6927713.ece
Tanks are no good in mountain terrain.
From the border going into Iran it’s nice and flat though…

Today’s news about Dubai made me think about the prediction you made about the next wave of the financial crisis coming from the middle east…

Great to see you guys in action.

  90. More on Dubai …

    Dubai default risks ‘perfect storm’

…Dubai World’s more than 70 creditors face the prospect of writedowns on as much as $US60 billion of debt if they haven’t unloaded their holdings and the state-owned company fails to win additional support from Abu Dhabi.

The biggest creditors are Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and Emirate NBD PJSC. Other lenders include Credit Suisse Group AG, HSBC Holdings Plc, Barclays, Lloyds Banking Group Plc and Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc, according to a person familiar with the situation. Barclays slumped as much as 6.9 per cent, the biggest intraday loss in a month, while RBS sank as much as 8.3 per cent. Lloyds and Credit Suisse dropped more than 3 per cent.

“Our exposure is immaterial,” said Credit Suisse spokesman Marc Dosch. HSBC, Lloyds and RBS declined to comment when contacted by Bloomberg. Spokespeople at Barclays were not immediately available to comment.

  95. Gold Is Quality, Stability, And Safety http://tinyurl.com/yllms2t

  96. Well, I guess I was wrong about this site. I thought there were two agendas being pushed: gold sales and climate change. Anti-American diatribes seems to be the third pillar.

Imean. People in America have a dinner with their famiies and go shopping and it is sprayed as a terminal illness. No, all Americans aren’t fat. All Americans don’t stampede each other down for ipods. All Americans aren’t….blahblah…talk about chittychatty Gossip Lady lunch shit.

And all the links I’ve put up to show the coalition of force behind the present wars are ignored in a spat of ill-humour towards one country. Guess what? IT’S EUROPE AND AMERICA THAT’S TO WAR WITH THE COMPLICITY OF CHINA.

Today being Thanksgiving, I had turkey supper with my family. Dropping off a family member,we noticed a friend passing. The person was a European working here on a degree. There was no place serving food in the vicinity, and she asked where she could get food. Well, we had food! We had stuffing, turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, rolls, cranberry sauce, and sweet potatoes. Her face lit up as we dished it all on a paper plate and handed her a GingerAle.

And THAT’S THANKSGIVING. Sharing with people, loving your family, being grateful.

It speaks badly of a person when they only focus on the faults of a nation or a people or a person and forget the good. It reeks of something: what…cowards do that a way.

It’s a way of hating. I think we all have enough to do on our own faults without discussing other people’s adipose or dietary choices. AIN’T NOBODY BETTER THAN ANYBODY ELSE BECAUSE OF BODY SIZE OR SKIN COLOR OR IDEOLOGICAL CREED.

And, no, Mother Earth. I’m not fat. In fact, I quite fit. And my brown eyes turn green when I read all this nonsence.

Like reading things middle-school students write.

Think there is somtin else happening with this obesity….maybe also what Stacy said with the nutrecian but I think there is a lot of bad stuff in the food or maybe also because of the crazy vaccin policy? 20 injections before 2 years old? Of cause that’s making your sick. Should be investigated cause I don’t believe it’s only because people eat much there must be somtin else there.

  103. Whats the Gold and Silver price Flatlining for?

Are the banks saying ” We aren’t playing anymore”???

  104. @Frances, be careful backing up on those ‘hotdogs’

I personally don’t think its just about climate & gold, its the realisation that the people in power in most countries are evil bastards, that lie lie lie.
    Happy Thanksgiving from down here:)

  105. All of you who think that there’s fascism in America, please don’t exagerate! Yes, many states are doing outrageaous things, but Western democracies are still far away from fascism.

I just watched documentaries about the Velvet Revolution and there was news on czechoslovak communist television from 1989. It was absolutely surreal, I couldn’t believe that we used to live in such a system.

So, even though mainstream media today pursue the interests of their owners and the journalists don’t know s*** about economics still people know a lot about what’s really going on the world. We’re moving towards fascism, but we’re still far away from it. Next time you talk about fascism, learn some history, so you’ll know what you’re really talking about, and don’t make exagerated comparisons.

man I wish i had a turkey dinner. My wife and I did nothing for Thanky Turkey Day. In Belize turkeys cost $100USD (Which is like what, .50C in Euros?) Anyway, I agree, with your satire of being satirical, or focusing on the worst traits of a nation or person. It shows a sign of spiritual weekness and possibly sickness, of a person lacking in, though wanting desperately to control others. or, feeding themselves with their arrogant bullshit. America’s diversity was not it’s weekness, on the contrary, diversity is a strength, that allowed for many ideas to come down through the ages and merge.

It is easy to be judgmental of ignorant people, Yet, how is it fare, or wise to judge someone who has no clue as to what it must be like on the other side of life, in the seat of knowledge.

  118. @all – Happy National Day of Mourning

    http://www.uaine.org/

In 1970, United American Indians of New England declared US Thanksgiving Day a National Day of Mourning. This came about as a result of the suppression of the truth. Wamsutta, an Aquinnah Wampanoag man, had been asked to speak at a fancy Commonwealth of Massachusetts banquet celebrating the 350th anniversary of the landing of the Pilgrims. He agreed. The organizers of the dinner, using as a pretext the need to prepare a press release, asked for a copy of the speech he planned to deliver. He agreed. Within days Wamsutta was told by a representative of the Department of Commerce and Development that he would not be allowed to give the speech. The reason given was due to the fact that, “…the theme of the anniversary celebration is brotherhood and anything inflammatory would have been out of place.” What they were really saying was that in this society, the truth is out of place.

Most cultures are intrigued with the differences inherent in one another, until there is a learned conflict,
e.g. Nazism, Communism, Capitalism, or any other edification of being.
All the “isms”, are learned behavior.
Most folk who settle in a routine, find it hard to change, once the habit has been ingrained, hence the conflict
when cultures are forced upon one another.
Humans are born with a natural curiosity, which is purposely suppressed and manipulated when attending state schooling.
I remember finishing off my last one and a half years schooling in England, (moving from Germany),
and the kids called us Nazis.(my point being, the behavior is taught)
So,.when you find yourself espousing opinion,..try and remember whence it originated! : )

I have been telling people for years when I travel. “American people are nieve, but not bad!” Unfortunately, shitty corrupt officials have bastardized a system that was design to weed out criminals and tyrants from governance, unfortunately, it takes the people who had been brainwashed and lied to to do the “cleaning”. Not many fat people in Peru when I was there. If anyone was fat, the Peruvians called them “gordo”. Sort of a social stigma. It is a question. And most rich people who are fat have armed protection.

  145. Phil, you said “…The market cap of all the gold stocks in the world is less than that of Microsoft or Walmart…”

That is false. I saw this in a graph of info by Casey Research presented in an article “Gold Contrarians Will Get Killed” that Catherine Austin Fitts linked to in the priority portion of her blog. It rang false to me, I checked it out and it is false. Like so many of the other facts people aren’t checking. My very incomplete total came to 341.7 billion US, well above the 210-220 billion or so depicted. It was 2:30 am and I was satisfied to go to bed. I wrote Ms. Fitts about it, no response.

That 341.7 billion US is not counting warrants, debentures, unlisted private and state companies, or gold bullion ETFs. Also I stopped short of finding and adding companies that were either below 900 million in market cap or not listed in North American markets with the exceptions of Polyus Gold from Russia (11.5 billion US market cap) and five companies listed in Australia (31.6 billion US market cap in total).

Youri, what do you think? This would account for the ‘climate change’, and is not associated with carbon pollution.

  162. @frances snoot

Well the complete system is all so complicated and we don’t know everything yet in conection with earths climate system. That’s why the IPCC has to be burned cause they do pretend to know everything.

Every day we learn new things which doesn’t necessarily mean we than understand the complete system immediately on the contrary, it gets more complicated, more factors. So the interaction between the diffirent kinds of radiation in earth’s upper atmosphere is only recently discovered so needs more reasearch anyways.

And indeed what kind of influence does this magnetic field have on the processes in the upper atmosphere with at the same time no sunspots but that can change too? I don’t know and I doubt if it is know by any scientist today. Likje said it’s all new stuff adding new parameters to the climate review.

They say that the sun could have a sudden solarflare burst but were is the prove for this? NASA is just questimating a theory based on old solar cycles but we just see that a trend has been broken so who can tell what realy will happen. Maybe the sun just picks up more sunspots slowly and gradually why it has to be a catastrophic event again? NASA gets more funding than? Seems like it with all these catastrophes around. Humans like drama and catasrhophy movies and like also NASA learned. things sell better if you can get verybody scared.

Watch out the Babareians are comming! (Not knowing that they’ve become the Beast themselves)

  163. @Youri:
Well, theory says time is tied to the magnetic shield. Which makes the Mayan prediction interesting is relation.

  164. Oh yeah there are less floating Icerocks around caue these melt of faster but not on a way everybody may think from warmer air or somtin. No, the icerocks melt from the bottemside which is underwater! In some arctic areas there is more rain and this sweet relative warmer water floats on the colder salt water and causes floating ice rocks to melt faster than ususal. The Arctic winters are a month longer than “usual” and the summers are a little warmer. So netto no temp rising.

Glad to be on the real sciense now instead of this CO2 BS.

  165. That guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. 30 to 40,000 troops will be on the way soon. We are gonna build up for world war three! I’m so excited! Pay China back, HA, we aint gonna pay no one back! we are gonna take everything by force!

There is a theory about six minipoles operating during the duration of the pole reversal. Interesting that the aurora borealis was seen in Greece:

    http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/1956GeoPA..35..139C

At this point one may assume lies will coat most information to a degree equal to the information’s potency.

The climate change scam is a way to consolidate power rapidly in the hands of the criminal currency cartel. There are definately more levels of information than we can access at ground level. One must extrapolate within the context of a reasoned cross-reference of true science.

My gut is that the answer lies in the magnetic shield weakening.

  167. @frances snoot

I havn’t seen 100% proof yet about our calender and the Maya calender collusion. Everybody assumes that somebody, whoever that may be, made the right calculations. I don’t buy that immediately cause it could be off as much as 200 years so that the Maya calender actualy ends 200 years later than we assume now.

But a lot of people sell books on the subject so they won’t tell you that. And even if the calculations are right who says that the Mayan say the world will end or somtin? Lately I saw an interview with a Mayan himself and he said that the Western people are crazy people who don’t understand him!?

I mean first it was plantet X than through the center of the galaxy, which happens all the time and now it’s magnetic pole shift? What’s next?

This sunspot thing together with eart’s magnetic field is somting to keep an eye on. Heard that there were some Aussis with strange sunburns. Havn’t seen this confirmed yet so i’ll looking forward to more info on the subject.

What I heared from some scientist is that radiation has influence on the formation of clouds and CLOUDS ARE THE REAL AND UTMOST IMPORTANT GREENHOUSE GAS (Not big for you Snoot but for the crowd).

So indeed if earths magnetic field and sun radiation add up in upper atmosphere influence in the formation of clouds it could be very important indeed. Havn’t seen much info about it cause like said it’s all new science.

  170. Over time a new field can continue to grow. This further weakens the original magnetic field. If the process continues, the two fields would eventually cancel each other out. Earth’s magnetic field would collapse and then, maybe, flip.

“But more likely than not what will happen is the original [field] will get stronger again and overwhelm the instability,” Glatzmaier said. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/09/0909_040909_earthmagfield_2.html

  171. @Youri:
What makes the Mayan calendar prediction interesting is relation: what I meant by this is that the reliance by western science on rational thought linked to linear progression is a stasis not represented by natural phenomenon. Mayan cyclical time makes more sense. Retrospective analysis is fraught with error. The point to the scientific method is to defer some of this error in an understanding of the natural dynamics of change.

I agree that most of what we hear are stories: but I would like to assert that ALL of what we hear are stories and that facts are a fantasy relevant to faith. We use science to interpret change as the patterns indicate a relevance to our human dilemma.

What the story tellers aim to achieve is to mold our patterns of construct building to an effective end: the blocks are given to us to build within the constructs demanded by social pressure and cultural mores. Not much chance of escape through the channels delineated by our ‘betters’. Most men give up and aim only for notoriety.

I agree about the question, “what’s next”. But we may find the answers more readily in an observation of our natural world. A hearty appreciation of the skeptic’s outlook is a necessary friend now.

  172. Youri:
Yes, your cloud reference sounds like the vapor canopy idea. But how would that have anything to do with clouds? If a vapor canopy existed or exists (and mind you it is the creation scientists who make this claim) it most likely would have involve a completely different composition of gaseous elements that what we observe normally now. Right? I don’t know if the vapor would be anything like a cloud at all.

Not to discount the idea, just the application.

  173. @frances snoot

The idea is that radiations has influence on easy or less easy cloud forming. That’s at least what I’ve red somewhere. Don’t have a link by hand right now. Come back on that later.

Clouds are the most influencial on our climate. sunblocking during the day. Keeping heat, like a blanket, during the night.

  176. Yes, Youri.

But unfortunately, the world has chosen dogma over science now.

    Thanks for the information!!!

  177. HI BONN!

  178. @frances snoot

Earths magnetic field forms a ring of protection around the earth blocking much of suns radiation. If earths magnetic fields weakens more of suns radition comes in thus possibly influencing cloud forming – is the theory. But which way is unknown to me?

But sun is at a sunspot low as well at the moment so this has to be added in. If the sun gets stronger, more sunspots you’ve got mor radiation as well and this couls, again, influence cloud forming.

  179. @ Snoot
    Hi :-)

  180. Bonn, Youri and I were discussing the aspect of radiation on the climate change scenerio.

  181. Why the focus on clouds? What inherently affects climate is the ocean. The real study is probably not being revealed to us.

  182. So, now we know that the more active sun warms the planet directly with increased incident radiation and indirectly both by reducing low cloud and likely by elevating the proportion of gaseous water — the most important greenhouse gas.

This is precisely the kind of feedback hypothesized for enhanced greenhouse except this now has a demonstrated physical mechanism and is of such importance we should walk through its function just to be clear.

Increased solar activity acts directly on the Earth with a small increase in radiation, a small heating effect and an associated increase in evaporation. This same increase in activity suppresses cosmic ray penetration of Earth’s atmosphere, thus reducing available low cloud condensation nuclei. This sequence of events increases clear sky and incoming radiation while increasing the already dominant clear sky greenhouse effect from gaseous water vapor.

  184. Cool, Bonn!

  185. Youri:
    Here’s what I learned tonight:

Climate science is ignoring the affect of solar radiation and sun flares on the climate. Also being ignored is the affect of a weakening magnetic shield upon the climate. Cloud formation is a direct result of an increase in solar radiation. Clouds affect climate due to a cooling effect. Some scientists believe that cloud formation would result due to the greenhouse effect and as a result the earth would cool, not warm.

Now it is time to shut down for the night! Goodnite all!

In theory news shouldnt take a position, it should search for facts just like science. BTW the “goals” of this treaty is reduction of 17% for US, 30% for EU, developing nations/China need to just “decrease” the increase by 2020. And here it comes; they apparently have a crystal ball; the temperature may not risen more than 2 degree Celsius by 2100. Even with average its ridiculous; lets add up again; free emission rights, inefficient wind/solar energy produced by crony companies that cost alot of maintenance still need energy companies (which pollute and hold their powergrip), bio fuel/prius, storage of CO2 in the ground, nothing about toxic waste dumping, water pollution, dying oceans/fish populations, deforestation and not to forget a new derivates scam thought up by people at Enron. Anyways i wanted to mention again how much this is rigged and controlled/pushed, without going into the hoax thoery where “scientists”/propagandists fake data.

    Interesting night debate, youri/frances,
this patrick geryl guy says that he found, besides the maya calender, an advanced theory of the mayas concerning sunspots! It is actually this theory that forms the basis of his 2012 prediction!

did anybody look into that one?

    Here’s the real answer:

    The Greater Aquarian Cycle

If the 26,000 Great Year Cycle of the Mayans is ending in 2012 (coinciding with the lesser 5,125 year cycle), it is highly significant because it may also relate to ‘the greater wheel’ and its cycle of 26,000 years – finishing one cycle and starting another. The twelve zodiac signs take 26,000 years to precess the full circle of 360 degrees, the same time span as it takes for one zodiac sign in the greater zodiac.

The world is entering the Age of Aquarius on both the smaller and greater wheels, an event that has only occurred six times (this is the seventh) – in the history of this Fifth Rootrace, hence a time of great opportunity. [1]

Nevertheless, we are on the cusp of these cycles, 500 years for the lesser wheel and 5,000 years for the greater wheel; it is doubtful (as mentioned by other authors) that something will ‘happen’ on December 21, 2012. We are going through a process of unprecedented change during this cuspal period. If the above date is accurate, then this is an advantage for students of astrology and cycles – as it may allow some accuracy to use this as a time marker to work forward or backward.

Another factor to consider is that the 26,000 year cycle coincides with a 104,000 years cycle of the ‘fourth Sun’. (104,000 = 26,000 X 4) In other commentaries this author has dated the fifth subrace of the Fifth Rootrace (5.5) as starting around 100,000 years ago.

Indeed, in this fifth branchrace of 5.5 (5.5.5), the race has reached its apotheosis, and in this Kali Yuga cycle of destruction, is ready for a major shift. According to the Mayans, Humanity will shift to the ‘fifth sun’ phase, “El Quinto Sol”, where a golden age of higher consciousness will emerge.
