With regard to a suitable meme to sum up the present economic and political situation, how does the following suit you:

Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire

  2. @WL
well said. the debate has mixed up being against pollution with climate change – which used to be called global warming by the way.

  5. @Y’all
Lucky I didn’t mention what I thought of Alex Jones… damn!!!

  6. twat did you say?

  7. @Paul
Yeah don’t be loosing any sleep over me… wake up refreshed… and tomorrow tell the people… nothing comes to a sleeper but a dream!!!

  8. @PaulH,..Ditto

  9. Sleep well Dedo…

  10. @Paul H,…..Re:They never seem to have answers, only ego.
Maybe, that’s enough to sleep on,..: )

  11. @Dedo

Appreciate the advice. Just having some fun before I go to bed!

They never seem to have answers, only ego.

  12. @Paul H,….you seem a genuine guy,…my advice,..(I know,.I shouldn’t) Don’t rattle these guys,….they’re fanatical !! : )

  13. @Supergeek

I was going to go to bed, but I’ve decided that it might be more fun to fan the flames of a teenage ego (and that’s my ego speaking).

Please feel free to ask me any question – as long as I can ask you one that you’ll answer honestly.

I’ll answer your first one – what made me so stupid?

Maybe it was my Bsc Honours degree in technology and business?

Or perhaps my 7 years of business ownership? Successful dot.com et al.

Or perhaps it was the influence of my wife’s CEO-ship of a major UK public sector organision?

Or maybe my growing (and very profitable) anti-chemical business?

Or maybe my senior London-based advertising strategy role for one of the world’s biggest technology companies?

Or perhaps, my realisation that all of the above was largely bullshit.

    Now, my question to you…

Why do you want to keep the population ignorant about what’s ‘bleeding obvious’?

Fair’s fair here. I’ve answered your question. Now you answer mine.

  14. @Estalia,……ask your dad, why he doesn’t com’ with me !
    I’m loosing sleep,….

  15. @!!!
hi… im supergeeks daughter, ive just come home, im 12 years old!!!! what have you done to my dad… he wont stop laughing… EEK!
    from Estalia.

  16. @Paul
PS… You know what they say about speculation… you make a speck out of you… or is it Assumption… oh nevermind I’m sure you’ll figure it out!!!

  17. @Paul
I’m beggin you…Maan… PLEASE… PLEASE… I can’t breathe… honestly… What the fuck did they do to you to make you so STUPID as you are Today???

  18. @ Paul H

Yes, the dreaded T word applies here methinks…

Stacy & Max provide an excellent forum, full of little gems.

    Tell the people!!!

  19. @TJ

Disagreement is healthy. The best thinking rises.

Although, despite my visceral dislke for ad hominum attacks, and I’m battling hard to to hold this in…

    Supergeek is a twat.

    Why?

Because he thinks that making the population aware that we’re being totally screwed by the powers that be is a bad idea.

  20. This looks like it’s getting a bit out of hand!
May I recommend some soothing night music?

  21. @Y’all
    You couldn’t make this up…Thank You…Thank You…..HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

  22. @ merci

The challange that I (we?) have is that spreading the word is so challenging.

I worked in advertising (at a senior level) for many years and I’m still still struggling to find a ‘meme’ that will connect with the wider population.

    Meme – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meme

The closest I’ve got is ’21st Century Serfs’.

Please (really – please!) feel free to suggest a better one.

  23. @merci
    what’s your point…DOH!!!

  24. NEW WORD

    Obaminable

  25. Supergeek said “Y’all
reminds me of someone who posted here once saying they had only just realised what was really happening in the world… … and had spent the last six months…”

That was me, and I’m a she. So what’s your point? I was busy with my life and wasn’t paying enough attention. It actually hit me about a year ago that something was not quite right and that it was escalating.

I do research on a daily basis (yes, some tines 12 hours a day) and you are correct….I don’t have much of a life anymore. My husband is concerned about me, but I continue to seek knowledge while it is still available online.

I do take a “pee” break when time permits.

  26. @Paul
    Ask ya momma!!!

  27. @ Supergeek

    More thrashing.

I’m not questioning your parents integrity, or your parental ability. I’m merely asking two simple questions.

Please feel free to reject my the premise of my questions – as long as you explain why.

  28. @Paul
you like diggin’ holes for yourself as well as asking stupid questions… first you mention my parents and now you are trying to imply something about me as a parent…ummmh!!!

  29. @Supergeek

It’s never pretty to watch someone’s ego thrashing frantically around before it diminishes (in most folk, including me, it never totally dies). I take no pleasure from it.

“specialist subject stating the bleedin obvious”

Let me ask you a two simple questions.

    1. Is what’s ‘bleedin obvious’ to you obvious to most of the population?

    If the answer is no…

    2. Are people who help the population understand the ‘bleedin obvious’ fulfilling a useful role?

I don’t know you at all Supergeek, but I’m willing to wager that you don’t have children.

  30. (therd perSun narratif goin’ on here)

  31. @ lla’y,..maybe the obvious isn’t so,..with some,..(whistle while we work,….tum te dum)

He said pretty much the same thing himself somewhere in this video.

I’ve always taken his ramblings about lizard people metaphorically. I’ve just never been sure whether he was serious about that stuff. He seems to have calmed it down now that the globalists/psychopaths have made themselves known.

  38. @Y’all
reminds me of someone who posted here once saying they had only just realised what was really happening in the world… … and had spent the last six months… 12 hours a day reading up on the economy finance etc… er beside the fact he was trying to hard to say the right thing…. I thought… well the man must have had to eat, sleep piss etc all I could think was when does he have time to think or have a life!!!

  39. @Super,…….Hope you don’t take offense,. but you remind me of Johnny Quid ! ; )

  40. @Adam.C,……cheers,. mucho appreciato !

    But I won’t.

In the meantime, thanks for your contribution.

  44. is it .is it,…huh huh

  45. @Paul
if you need david ick a prick to wake you up you probably would have been better staying asleep… or are in the process of having a breakdown yourself… and anyway who said having a breakdown was a bad thing!!!

  46. Kevin Rowland !

  47. @Super,….is that avatar picture of the guy from Dexy’s midnight runners ?

  48. @Y’all
er… I always thought Max was a economedian!!!

  49. @Supergeek

You may find him a prick, which of course is your perogative, but he has woken many people up up from their slumbers.

Speaking personally, I had never heard of the Bilderburg group until I read a few of his articles. His shows still sell out, and as far as I can tell, he’s not making millions from it.

Incidentally, breakdowns can be a positive life event.

    So your point is?

  52. @Y’all
david ick is a prick who had a breakdown… read a few books from the last 40 years… and copied some of the best bits and wrote a book of his own, attracted a few ingnant fools… I hope more some more idiots have breakdowns… but that’s it!!!

  53. @Super,..I take it you haven’t got any gold,……wanna buy some hot dogs ? ; (

  54. This game has been going on, far longer than most folk realize. When problems are debated at present,.the solutions and conflicts have been thought out long before.

  56. Glad I still have my New Zealand passport!

  57. @Adam C,….thanks for those posts,..very poignant !

  58. @PaulH@AdamC@WL – it “the end game” may become true for the local world (aka US,UK,some of Europe) but the big World will not fall for it, BRIC nations do not want to play. So I dismiss the global scale of it but fear the local scale which carries many signs for it to happen.

I agree, this tension will produce poverty in the emerging world. They are trying to buy them off with paper promises.

We are on the road to global war, I am afraid. Ironic, the modern alchemy of socilaism/communism/marxism to control the people for corrupt elites will drive us toward a global war.

Human growth/productivity vs control via global rents imposed by a supranational government.

A false utopia will destroy us.

  61. @mongo

I am going out to buy another roll of silver 1 oz coins today…just keep regularly adding to gold and silver since 2001. Keep averaging in with physical.

Use stocks to trade the fluctuations.

I had many stink bids in for gold stocks “to add” and none were hit..

Gold was smacked down by the cabal, got back up and said

“Is that all you got, fuck you”

  62. la fin vien de commencer mes amis.

  63. @Phil, I hope your right about silver, as soon as it gets ANYWHERE near 16 dollars I will buy some!

  64. @WL @Adam C

Those are also my suspicions. The more I read, the more evidence I see for it.

The challenge we here in the UK have, is that when attempting to raise such matters in polite circles, one is often likened to David Icke (popularly characterised as a turquoise tracksuit -wearing nutter).

Say what you like about Mr Icke, he may (or may not be?) waaaay out there with the reptilian stuff, but much of what we are discussing now, he was talking about years ago.

  67. @Stacy and Max

I can’t believe you haven’t figured this out.

The end game “as Snoots has expressed” is an IMF global central bank ponzi scheme based on carbon credits Created by IMF elites out of thin air. A fractional human reserve fiat system.

A debt on life, your life, your childrens lives and humanity.

Who will benefit, trade, leverage, collect this debt.

The debtors prison will be life itself.

IMO, this a new “COMMUNISM” form of control with elite Corps Oligarchs and politicos reaping the rewards.

    All based on psuedoscience

  68. Comes to something when a brit has got to watch Russian news to get the real scene. Why arent BBC news 24 calling up Max and Stacy for comments? Thats a rhetorical question by the way, I already know the answer!

  70. @WL … Great Quote

“Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.”

    Albert Einstein

People like Einstein, Tesla etc. did their great work in days where there wasn’t even a Calculator , let alone a computer !

People want to compare Hawking to Einstein … SORRY , NOT EVEN IN THE SAME CLASS !

I read Hawking’s book, and was totally put off !

  71. The primary data used to support AGW is corrupt. If you read Hansen you can see it clearly, the data was massaged to create a conclusion. The entire AGW “science” rests on loose correlation built on questionable primary data.

    THAT IS NOT FREAKIN SCIENCE

The leaked emails and docs expose the integrity of these people.

Just like the SEC the Climate Science is captured by political and financial interests

“Most people say that is it is the intellect which makes a great scientist. They are wrong: it is character.”

    Albert Einstein

The false flag is a climate crisis

The solution is commodification of CO2 by elites.

The complete commodity enslavement of life.

Cradle to grave commodification, hope you enjoy your future.

Not to save the planet but to enslave its people

If you set aside the dogma and examine the science, you will see that it is not backed by real science.

Legitimate pollution is a separate valid issue

  78. ‘…dominant social themes include the deadly swine flu, the ticking time bomb of overpopulation, the flooding of the world from global warming, the freezing of the world from peak oil – and on and on. In all these instances—every one—a government solution is proposed that will ameliorate the difficulty. And all the solutions, we note, are increasingly international and involve the United Nations and other global bodies. — Enmeshing memes within the regulatory process gives them nearly unimpeachable authority. The police enforce the supporting regs. The courts create a judicial process regardless of whether the memes are true or not. The mainstream media then deals with the memes as if they were established fact. A nation’s education system retells them with certainty and even quizzes students on them. Businesses are built around the demand generated by a given dominant social theme.’

    http://www.thedailybell.com/BellPage.asp?nid=569

  79. ‘If a climate-change sceptic suggests that the Sun, rather than man, is responsible for climatic variations he is denounced as evil, a heretic, someone whose words are so foul and twisted that they will be “partially but directly responsible for millions of deaths from starvation, famine and disease in decades ahead.” In other words, question the environmentalist consensus, and you are endangering life itself — your words are literally poisonous. Yet when a climate-change activist openly calls for calamitous events and the deaths of thousands of people as a way of focusing our leaders’ minds on the problem of climate change, no one bats an eye. So warped is environmentalist morality that those who raise legitimate questions about politics and science are accused of killing people with their words, while those who actually talk about the need for people to die are patted on the back.

  81. ‘…the signifiers of an elite dominant social theme is its imperviousness to reality. Climategate – the falsification of data over numerous years to “prove” global warming – has definitively arrived and the damage to the global warming meme is immense. But don’t expect the banking and political class to acknowledge that. It is fairly easy for the monetary elite itself (a few thousand individuals) to enlist hundreds of thousands and even millions of functionaries to promote these dominant social themes through a variety of governmental and private organizations (and public schooling as well). But ultimately, in order for these themes to gain traction, the promotions themselves (for that is what they are) must reach a receptive public. These days, the Internet is exposing each of these promotions. When the credibility of these promotions is eroded, then they cease to work as planned.’

  82. ‘Today, the calls for cutting back are not linked to any positive human objective; they are simply about making a virtue out of necessity. It’s not about developing the human, but punishing the human in the name of some nonsense external force: usually Gaia. Today’s debate about the recession speaks to a view of people as unrestrained, destructive, and morally incapable; as toxic creatures with no inner moral life that needs to be developed or satisfied. The idea that everyone is now complicit in decadently bringing down society, and the idea that we should lower our living standards without any promise of transcendence, springs from today’s very degraded view of people. It springs from a view of people as simply consumers, exploiters, the users of resources, the destroyers of things, rather than as creators, producers, the makers of things and of history.’

  83. ‘At the heart of Monteith’s thesis are the ‘neo-socialists’ who have, he says, ‘forsaken their jackboots, their boiler suits and their AK-47s and are instead using surveillance, regulation, guidance, inspection, by-laws, and local summary justice as weapons to subjugate us’. Far from being the preserve of the authoritarian left, big government appeals to politicians and activists of all persuasions. Indeed, it is the very fact that the bully state serves so many vested interests that makes it so formidable. Although he is convinced that any system of government built on repression and prohibition will be doomed to failure, Monteith paints a convincing picture of a many-headed beast comprising ‘fake charities’, government departments, NGOs, ‘earnest do-gooders’ and ‘malevolent power grabbers’… Some are motivated by their own obsessions, some by government targets and others by the need to keep the grant money rolling in.’

Since they see themselves as THE elite scientists they believe themselves to be above the petty requirements of the FOI act, these acts don’t apply to THEM. We see this all the time in politics, in journalism, throughout academia, nothing special in it, it is as common as dirt. The really interesting part is that these idiots are frequently [2+2=5], they really want [2+2=5] to take over the world. And once it does it is these same elitists that quickly end up in the gulags as slaves or dead. It is quite logical actually, these elitists are insufferable to be around so once the Marxist thugs take over they quickly get rid of them. It is true, look at the old Soviet Union, Cuba, China, anywhere [2+2=5] took over, the elitists help them to power then get purged. They are not really that smart, they do this over and over again, history means nothing to them. Their ego tells them they are above history. If they are lucky they live somewhere that never goes [2+2=5] and never have their wish fulfilled, and they live a full life honored by their equally elitist friends, writing Marxist drivel, living in moderately well off surroundings; bitter, clinging to their ideology and their tenure. Keep pushing, these are brittle people, they’ll crack before they’ll bend.”

I liked the part about african rage (one of the Naomi’s), but it seems they are being bought of under the pretext of agriculture and food security. It means we still need to cut down those rainforest to make room for plantations. Good thing they lost their protection since the Bangkok pre-Copenhagen negotiations. All under the carefull eye of international bankers of course. They only wake from their slumber if we are so comfortable we stop scurrying or deluding ourselves.

You can totally relax and have your own strippers in a gulfstream. You probably mean a jetstream?

  120. Things must be desperate !

Dubai may sell QE2 to tackle debt crisis

… Nakheel bought the QE2 for $100m in 2007, but by the time it arrived in Port Rashid a year ago this week its future was already looking uncertain. Since then, little has been done to put in place ambitious plans to saw off a funnel in favour of a glass penthouse and refit its suites and ballrooms into a floating hotel….

My suggestion .. on Ebay !

  121. “Climat denier shills are such pussies.”

I’m not a climate denier. I agree the world does have a climate. I was wondering if you had the link for the India ‘take possession of IMF gold’ seeing as that related to your extensive views on American foreign policy.

you probably knew that… if you don’t mind the quality it’s free at your leisure

  126. Anaylizing Climate change is like analyzing 6 billion peoples personalitys in one second its impossible
man you have to analyze in 100,000 Dimensions over the past 30 years before you get anything accurate
what if a Volcano blows up some where 4 years down the line or the Sun flares start acting up again or a meteor scrapes our atmosphere thers like 100,000 things i can name in a weeks time which are natural causes which can affect Climate change

  127. Max,
Please, please… next time you talk to Putin… ask him to adopt a gold standard thereby squashing those wall street banksters to dust…

  135. As they say danger comes from unexpected directions.

There are very nasty rumors about Greece for the last few days. It could very well trigger a new financial crisis in Europe.

  136. Beavis and Butthead. Excellent reference. VEry accurate.

What these pigs at the Fed couldn’t do by spiking the dollar to crash Gold the other day they tried again with the Thanksgiving Nite Massacre. Assholes. On a day when no one is trading or at their terminals. They poke the price up after the Wed. close to sweep the stops of all those shorting the Market and then the Market in Gold crashes in the dead of the early morning hours on a fright wig sell off of 65 pts! Screw these animals where they breath.

Ha,- now we have bounced to within 17 pts of all time highs and much of it is the FED covering their gold shorts. They are trying constantly to convince idiot Americans that gold is ‘too volatile’, not ‘a good investment’, will ‘crash’, etc. This is just the latest installment.

Have I mentioned yet today how much I hate these criminals?

  139. @gb — Celente
    @scott from oregon

    Gerald Celente is dynamite IMO.
I love his straight talk … brave guy, he calls it like it is.

There’s a long list of such good people out there .
Maybe Max and Stacy should list them on a separate page ..I get fed with having to repeat all their names again and again !

  140. check out at 10:40 min!!! God’s work

  141. @Mother .. Climate

    I repeat ..
    Climate change .. Yes
Warming or cooling … who really knows !
Expect more volatility … whether hotter or cooler

Pollution is the major killer IMO.

We have currently a warming phase, which IMO can quickly change to a cooling phase.

One thing I’m sure about .. VOLATILITY !
    Heavier storms and flooding.
Maybe with all that ice melting, the reduced weight may even trigger more earthquakes on the continental plates .

IIRC, somewhere up there in Greenland , the locals thought the sea was receding , until they discovered that the land had increased it’s height above sea level , due the the massive tons of ice that have melted !

  142. scott from oregon posted this
it is great! we need celente and max together!

  144. A New Era Begins

I’ve been saying this for a while guys…. watch out!

Don’t think for a second that gold/silver is immune to this downturn. When the dollar goes up ALL commodities will go down. That’s all there is to it.

As long as the dollar is the world reserve currency then this correlation will persist.

  145. one of the best interviews on RT

  146. @Sinan

    Do you have any links?

  147. Us stock markets can’t stay down for 1 hour!

  148. William of the North

    @Douglas aka Thunder preacher,

I’m glad my wife and I just bought some land on the east coast of New Brunswick. But since Russia is less communist than Canada, I would probably welcome the change.

    But seriously,

@ Phil, @ maxkeiser, or anyone with an answer,

What makes people believe that Canada is going to grow some balls, and stop following the U.S. gov’t lead?

The Canadian dollar has been devalued in step for the past year and half. It’s not like the Bank of Canada or politicians play hockey. (Just a bunch of little knobs)

  149. @ y’all watching Kungfu Panda for the first time it’s comming on HBO to lazy to rent the DVD when any movie releases and i hate crowds so no theaters LOL movie wise i guess I am 3 years behind all of you
LOL I dont need to watch it as soon as its relased. ROFL afterall its just entertainment. ;-)

  150. Douglas aka Thunder Preacher

@William of the North: Russia is going to buy back Alaska now Palin is on her book tour and then they start to buy their way in eastwards! The whole North American continent will be balkanized as it slowly falls apart due to financial terrorism and depleting oil fields.

  154. William of the North

I’m in Canada, and I don’t understand why anyone (ie. Russia) would bother with the Loonie. As far as I can tell, the Bank of Canada is going to devalue the Loonie, in step with the U.S. dollar.

  155. The money is being pumped back into the UK banks.. Soaring this afternoon. This will continue as the current system crumbles over the next few years.

In the UK it is all about the bottom 10 million who will become further segretated as an ‘under class’. Any recovery will be 2 tiered and the areas with a ‘knowledge economy’ will avoid the worse.

As for not making anything anymore. If you hold the patents and print the money and own the distribution then let the chinese make it. It makes me laugh all the crap about the China being an economic super power. The new order is not a carbon based economy that is going to become incresaingly unfeasable. Alot of the ‘developing worlds’ growth is going down a pathway that will end abruptly as peak oil starts to make more and more impact.

  156. @Mongo , considering I sold my 16$ Puts on SLV last week, it will now probably go below 16$ !
    ;-)

At the moment, looks strong , but the day is long .. well, only half a day today I suppose.

  157. I almost thought it would today..

  158. will silver drop below $16 again?… that is the question..

  159. As Max has said in the video, Greece is also in very bad shape.

The Greek Banks have been selling assets big time here in Turkey for the last 2 weeks.

    Dangerous times indeed.

  162. …At this rate, Copenhagen is going to turn into a comedy convention with the real world laughing at these liars. Now is the time to mount massive resistance to the petty tyrants and hit them where it hurts – in the wallet. Further down the line there may be, in many countries, a question of criminal prosecution of anybody who has falsified data to secure funds and impose potentially disastrous fiscal restraints on the world in deference to a massive hoax. It’s a new world out there, Al, and, as you may have noticed, the climate is very cold indeed….
