Dear MAx, when are you expecting a correction in gold prices? isnt one of the factor that is boosting gold prices is that people are shorting the dollar to buy gold? WHen the banks needed to unwinded their dollar carry trade, wouldn’t this inturn causes a massive shorting in their gold position?? where is the next gold bottom you expect to see??
@anything but green.again – oooh, I think I will have to start spamming links back to Maxkeiser.com in order to boost the traffic then! re: keeping site spam free, you would not believe how much there is; what a daily nightmare, though akismet makes it so so much easier to deal with, so the occasional glitch in grabbing real comments is worth my not having to deal with several hundred viagra ads and britney sex tapes
Thanks for the feedback.
It was very weird, how some words seemed to trip a filter.
Could be in the software.
Once censorship kicks in, it’s just not fun.
This site, so far, is free from the usual “noise” (you know, all those nasty spammers… yours truly excepted). Even when folks get to fisticuffs it’s generally because they’re enthusiastic, not because they want to detract from the quality of the site.
And so far you’re able to keep things on an even keel with just the occasional hiccup. If the traffic increases, I’ll be out of here because it’ll be too difficult to keep up. (“Oh goodie,” Stacy thinks. “Must boost traffic at once!”
Or do it in Secrecy using old school post letters I doubt Home land security will check letters
And then just put it out there in the Public followed by the banner “Well what do ya think”

Sorry about that. Thank you very much for posting the link. I can’t find the Russell Chapel one. It’s a beauty. The Russells are a guardian class family that came over with the “Normans”–you know, the total information clan.
Was it Julian Huxley who said the breeding would start with the bureaucrat class? That means they’d already finished that part of their eugenics program.
When you see what these guys were up to, it makes you pay attention to what Fabianist Keynes said about the cashless society. And Russell too, talking about the weekly ration of credits that could not be accumulated. Presumably even the guardian class will not be allowed to own property or trade in gold coins. Fun while it lasts I guess.

According to George Davis, this song was first called “Nine-to-Ten-Tons,” and he wrote it in reference to “this particular mine (which) had what is known as a Clean-up System. This was before the days of the UMW. In a clean-up system you either cleaned up your place every day, or brought your tools out (quit ? ). An old expression the operator used then was, ‘We’ve got a barefooted man waiting for your job.’ Here’s the catch — each place would make nine or 10 tons, but where you loaded this coal was very low; most of them had water in them — as much as three or four inches — and they had no pumps. On top of this you might have a cut of draw rock from 8 to 12 inches thick, 14 feet wide, and up to 9 feet long. All the coal, rock, and anything like wrecks, tore up track. All that was ‘dead work’ and it always had to be cleaned up, even if it took you 18 or 19 hours to do it.”
He was talking about the Gore coal mine, rumor has it.

The busy folks rely on clearing houses. They don’t have time to think straight, there’s so much “greed and corruption” to sort through.
Here’s a question:
What are the chances that one of the pilots or co-pilots of the four planes on that fateful day was minus current authorization to be at the controls?
Make up a figure.
Now, what would be the chances that two of those guys were minus current authorization? How about the chances that all eight weren’t authorized?
If you actually look at the info on the players/victims you’ll discover that all eight pilots/co-pilots were without current authorization.
If you look at the passenger lists and the stories about those passengers (human interest stuff in the newspapers), you’ll find some extreme oddities.
Yup, you’re looking at film crews working on a video of a terrarist event…. wardrobe mistresses, makeup artists, the works.
The info has been out there all these years, but squashed/marginalized by gatekeepers. It’s easy to figure out the mechanics if you do your own research and don’t rely on the big-name “leaders” of the fake “truth movement”.
The New York Fed said Monday it is expanding its test of triparty reverse repurchases to include small real-value transactions. In a reverse repo, the Fed pledges mortgage-backed securities and Treasurys it bought as collateral for short-term loans, thereby draining cash from the financial system. Reverse repos are normally the domain of the 18 primary dealers; triparty repos expand the facility to the $2.5T money-market mutual fund business.

What does the famous statue of Lincoln remind you of? The spread crotch? Presumably they made him a little god, one of those thousand points of light, like they did with Jack K (little obelisk memorial and all).
The Rockefellers and the Rothschilds are always bumping each other off. It’s rough at the top.

What do Jacob Schill and Hank Paulson have in common?
They both ruined lives of millions of innocent Americans making boatloads of money fro the banks, hmmm, intersting Schiff did it in 1913 when the Fed was established. Both did it through financial suicide threats.
Wow, y’all were live-blogging the West Point speech, huh?
My take: It was much better than any speech Bush ever gave in that it lacked the usual Bushie-style jingoism, but there was a lot of annoying rhetoric in there about America (e.g., we uphold human rights, we’re not an occupying country/we’re not tyrannical, we are still a free country that is of the people, by the people, for the people, etc.) and a whole lot of fibbing about why we have to escalate.
If we’re going to say that we’re escalating primarily to fight AQ and there are approx. 100 AQ members in Afghanistan, why do we need 30,000 more troops? To keep AQ in Pakistan from crossing back into Afghanistan? If that’s the case, how long will the troops have to sit there along the border and wait? It’s not like Pakistanis are going to “help us” by driving AQ out of Pakistan and into Afghanistan where we can fight them. It is in Pakistan’s interests to keep whatever real militants there are alive, because they rely on those guys to fight their battles with India. Or are our CIA and JSOC drones supposed to drive AQ into Afghanistan? None of that was explained . . . the whole how exactly we fight AQ members who are currently in Pakistan. The President can’t touch it because it’s his job to pretend in front of the American people and the rest of the world that we have no presence at all in Pakistan–even though everyone knows better.
The whole thing is a recipe for disaster. Escalating means more resistance. More resistance means more deaths. And our kids are going to get slaughtered with the new regional strategy that will necessarily leave them more exposed.
Nevermind that we’ll be left with 20,000 deployable troops in the US to deal with whatever else comes up at home or elsewhere.
1864: Rothschild, August Belmont, who by now is the Democratic Party’s National Chairman, supports General George McClellan as the Democratic nominee to run against President Abraham Lincoln in this year’s election. Much to the anger of Belmont, President Lincoln wins the election.
1865: In a statement to Congress, President Abraham Lincoln states,
“I have two great enemies, the Southern Army in front of me, and the financial institutions in the rear. Of the two, the one in my rear is my greatest foe.”
Later that year, on April 14, President Lincoln is assassinated, less than two months before the end of the American Civil War.
1863: President Abraham Lincoln discovers the Tsar of Russia, Alexander II (1855 – 1881), was having problems with the Rothschilds as well as he was refusing their continual attempts to set up a central bank in Russia. The Tsar then gives President Lincoln some unexpected help.
The Tsar issued orders that if either England or France actively intervened in the American Civil War, and help the South, Russia would consider such action a declaration of war, and take the side of President Lincoln. To show that he wasn’t messing about, he sent part of his Pacific Fleet to port in San Francisco and another part to New York.
The Rothschild banking house in Naples, Italy, C. M. de Rothschild e figli, closes following the unification of Italy. The Rothschilds use one of their own in America, John D. Rockefeller, to form an oil business called Standard Oil which eventually takes over all of its competition.
1861: President Abraham Lincoln (16th President of the United States from 1860 till his assassination in 1865) approaches the big banks in New York to try to obtain loans to support the ongoing American civil war. As these large banks were heavily under the influence of the Rothschilds, they offer him a deal they know he cannot accept, 24% to 36% interest on all monies loaned.
Lincoln is very angry about this high level of interest and so he prints his own debt free money and informs the public that this is now legal tender for both public and private debts.
Great questions, short answer nobody knows. I plan to average out at some point but only if I recognize a viable alternative, maybe raw or farm land.
watch the Dow/Max previously stated that he is waiting for the public to pile in, but if they are broke they may go to silver. IMO the public is not driving the price now, so it may have a long way to go. I have been trying to accumulate smaller denominations of gold and silver now. It might be tough to buy something with a 1 oz gold coin worth $5000.
Yes, they put their relatives into all critical positions, but often they are illegitimate, some obvious (like Abe Rothschild Lincoln, who got a it wrong towards the end).
As mentioned in another post, Al Gore’s daughter is married to Jacob Schiff’s grandson.
.
gold…yes, gold…my question for Max is where does it end? Say gold goes to $ 5,000 an ounce. Do you then sell your gold? Or will it become a medium of exchange at that point? Think silver has a better chance of that given supply ratios. There has to be a currency…1)a store of value, 2)a medium of exchange and a 3)measure of value. Gold is to be hoarded. The world operates on Gresham’s Law…bad money drives good money out. Bad money will always be a currency, good money will always be stored. Just a question of how bad a currency can get before it doesn’t perform one of the three functions above. Fiat currencies always will fail #1 above. What else is new.
In 1845: The Great American Loyalist, Andrew Jackson (7th President of the United States) dies.
Before his death he is asked what he regarded his as greatest achievement. He replies without hesitation,
“I Killed The Bank,”
This is in reference to the fact he banished the Rothschilds Second Bank of the United States in 1836.
In 1836: Following his years of fighting against the Rothschilds and their central bank in America, President Andrew Jackson finally succeeds in throwing the Rothschilds central bank out of America, when the bank’s charter is not renewed. It would not be until 1913 that the Rothschilds would be able to set up their third central bank in America, the Federal Reserve, and to ensure no mistakes are made, this time they will put one of their own bloodline, Jacob Schiff, in charge of the project.
We are fucking close to revolution! And I don’t mean some pansy ass bloodless revolution. There wil be blood!
Can you feel it? I sure can. Everywhere across the net the anger is escalating exponentially. There are always those who lead; where do you think they will strike first? My bet is a car bomb at 85 Broad St. Those guns GS employees are buying will be turned into shrapnel that will be imbedded in the people standing behind them…
Mark Pittman, Reporter Who Challenged Fed Secrecy, Dies at 52
By Bob Ivry
Nov. 30 (Bloomberg) — Mark Pittman, the award-winning reporter whose fight to make the Federal Reserve more accountable to taxpayers led Bloomberg News to sue the central bank and win, died Nov. 25 in Yonkers, New York. He was 52.
Pittman suffered from heart-related illnesses. The precise cause of death wasn’t known, said his friend William Karesh, vice president of the Global Health Program at the Bronx, New York-based Wildlife Conservation Society.
“He was one of the great financial journalists of our time,” said Joseph Stiglitz, a professor at Columbia University in New York and the winner of the 2001 Nobel Prize for economics. “His death is shocking.”
The US House is got no wood, only paint on the walls. Lies, generational lies, are represented by that paint. One could put a hand right through the wall. And when that House falls the people will just keep serving their real masters. They don’t care about the lies. The lies made them feel good about their own lies: their lives filled with lies lies lies.
Ron Paul is a part of that whole paint job. Ask him about the FSAP program through the IMF. ASK HIM. HE KNOWS WHY THE FED IS BEING AUDITED.
@JimO’Donnell:
The problem is that the people serving in the military in the US don’t give a damn about the Constitution. They are in the war for their own personal benefit.
All branches of goverment are and have been commiting treason. My definition of treason is the act of any sworn person who has taken the oath of office to uphold the Constitution.
Since we are a Constitutional Republic and not a monarchy then treason is, treason against the Constitution.
By now this includes virtually all in government(s) [States also] and at least the top general staff of the military. The only exception in all of Congress that I can think of is Ron Paul.
Yes, war can only be declared by Congress, and the last time that happened was in WWII. So all subsequent “wars” were illegal and unconstitutional. The Constitution does not provide Congress with the ablility to “offload” their sworn duties on some “War Powers Act.”
Also, the President only becomes Commander-in-Chief when called into that service by the Congress. What could this simple requirement mean?
The Founders were not obtuse and could have only meant that upon a Declaration of War that the President then becomes the Commander-in-Chief of the military.
Any President acting in this capacity without a Decleration of War is committing TREASON.

Victory Science
Let us never forget just what’s at stake in the war in Afghanistan: nothing less than the success of the war in Afghanistan. This war may be a mistake, a blood-soaked blunder, an unholy charnel house mindlessly consuming the bodies and souls of untold thousands, an open sore on the pockmarked face of history and an abomination before the sight of God and men, but it is first and foremost a war, and wars must be won. If the United States doesn’t win this war, then will it not lose it? And if the United States loses this war, then won’t the Unites States have lost it? And if the United States has lost this war, will that not then make the United States a kind of thing that loses wars? And then where would we be?
And just as America can’t afford to abandon this war, surely it can’t afford to abandon the Afghan people, who without the American military would be left to the savage whims of their hated enemy, the Afghan people. Indeed, it remains America’s solemn duty as the leader of the free world to bring freedom and security to the Afghan people by hunting down and eliminating the Afghan people. Nor can America forget its own national security, and the dire threat posed by the Afghan people to our war against the Afghan people.
But we must also remember that the Afghans, menaced even though they are by the evil of the Afghans, are not blameless here. Have they sufficiently appreciated our efforts to kill them? No, they have not. Have they effectively and efficiently rebuilt their nation whenever we’ve had cause to blow it up? No, they have not. Have they become full and effective participants in the ongoing mission to kill them? No, they have not. It is long past time for the people of Afghanistan to step up their efforts to kill themselves, and not merely rely on American generosity to finish the job for them.
And so the President will be sending additional troops to Afghanistan – but a precise number of troops, carefully determined by the nation’s top warologists after long months of carpet-bombing villages of laboratory mice – and they will kill Afghans there, but only for a precise period of time, calculated to be the exact interval necessary to protect our freedoms, or restore our security, or for all of us to grow bored and forget.

Horrible times are coming worldwide, not just to America. We need to understand the power structure working through the banking interests and corporations.
There are corporations behind this war: profiting from all. And China is on board for profit as well.
It is a sickening palate of color to paint our world only red.
@SKlein:
The point is that if the US is used as proxy scapegoat, the US can be taken out as a sovereign problem. Why do you think 36.000 are being sent overseas? We most probably are at the brink of a civil war here. The men won’t come home. They are being sacrificed for the disarming of another sovereign nation’s citizenry.
And the next time the coalition of the guilty will move on to another sovereign nation and set up their filthy conspiratorial colonizing force. The US is not necessary: those boys may just never come home.
Everyone needs to fight this G20 political nwo. The war is against every free man.
@FrankHope:
Are you claiming we are not an Empire to portray the US as the sole aggressor in the fiasco? That is the imagery being utilized by the press right now to deflect the blame from the guilty parties. US shares guilt in the aggression with CHINA. With RUSSIA. With the UK. With FRANCE. And with the participating membership of Nato.
THIS IS THE FIRST IN THE MANDATES AGAINST THE CITIZENS OF THE WORLD BY THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL. The application of force by Nato is voluntary and run through the ISAF.
The US will be a red circle mandate soon enough. We will be destroyed.
The forces are about disarming the population and setting up a federalized government for resource control.
Threw in a little Roosevelt there with the nothing to fear but fear itself type line.
Hope we can believe in. Now it’s the Marine Hymn. From the shores of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli. We are not an Empire. Repeat. We are not an Empire.
OBAMA IS THE FIGUREHEAD FOR THE INTERNATIONAL COALITION OF THE WILLING. THIS IS RUN OUT OF THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL. ALL MANDATES FOR AFGHANISTAN WERE VOTED AYE BY THE FIVE MEMBER NUCLEAR POWERS OF THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL: China, Russia, France, UK, US.
US is being sacrificed by our own ‘president’ who has yet to even show his documented birth certificate.
we are soooo screwed. Obomoo can lie and tell hafl truths with the best of them. We are sooo screwed. And people like my stupid relatives will beleive every word he says. CAuse it was on the boob tube. Geez. Were soooo screwed.
How are we going to pay for all of this? 30 billion this year alone. Sounds like a low ball estimate. What about all the black ops that are off budget?
Think about it- with free engergy we would destroy our world at an even faster rate than we are now. Fossil fuels are the closest thing we have had to free engergy, and look what havoc we have wreaked so far. With free engergy, we would not try to be efficient, we would build more roads, more bigger cars. We would build moving sidewalks. We would mine more, cut down more trees, build more buildings, larger houses. More airplanes. Right now, the cost of energy holds us back, and as fossil fuels dry up, it will limit our ability to consume and destroy our earth even more. When you think about it, the dream of free engergy is really a nightmare.
The sun is a place that has un-limited engergy (almost)- but who would want to live there. Our earth is a balance. Learning to live within this balance is where we should be looking- and fortunately, fossil fuels, and the laws of physics that eliminate the possibility of perpetual motion machines may end up being the thing that saves us, not the things that limit us.
30,000 troops going in. Coming home after 18 months.
Check back with me in 18 months. Guantanamo still isn’t closed in a year. But in 1-1/2 years Afghanistan will be all taken care of. Opium, corruption – no problem.
Prof. Obama is giving a history lesson. NATO which was set up to defend against Russia was being used in a way that had never been envisioned. Big mistake.
a bit disturbing….I am really bothered at how many sites there are when you Google “magniwork” claiming it is for real. This just means that these are also scam sites that get a commission for selling the fake plans. Don’t trust these sites!
My Codename Is Snowman. The Briefcase Contains the Algae”: A hush-hush program of the early Cold War was the attempt to develop “zip fuel,” a hydrogen-boron mixture intended to contain more energy by weight than petroleum-based aviation liquids. More energy density meant less fuel consumed per minute flown. The idea was that filling a bomber’s tanks with an advanced substance would enable the plane to reach the old Soviet Union, drop a nuclear warhead and return. But zip fuel proved unstable, and the advent of the ICBM meant very-long-range bomber flight wasn’t needed anyway.
AP Photo/Nasser Shiyoukhi
Algae, super-advanced fuel of the future. Why do I mention zip fuel? This is Tuesday Morning Quarterback — I don’t have to have a reason. I mention it because recently, jet engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney said the company is experimenting with a stable liquid that contains higher energy density than standard aviation fuels such as kerosene-based Jet-A or the military’s JP-7. Zip fuel may be developed after all! What is the incredible secret ingredient in the new substance — some super-advanced experimental compound? The secret ingredient is algae. Turns out an aviation fuel blended from petroleum plus biofuels made from algae and jatropha seeds has higher energy density than any current fuel used by the United States Air Force. Had this been known in the 1950s, pond scum would have been declared top-secret.
Madoff Fleeced His Victims; Will They Fleece Taxpayers? Bernard Madoff was all about cashing in, so now there is a rush to cash in on him. The first example was the book “Madoff’s Other Secret,” in which Sheryl Weinstein spent 224 pages belaboring her claim of an affair with Bernie. Why anyone should care if the two had an affair is unclear. Weinstein was chief financial officer of the charity Hadassah at the time of the claimed affair, and invested about $40 million of Hadassah donations in the Madoff swindle. This sure sounds like Weinstein violated her fiduciary responsibility. She was the perfect paramour for Madoff!
The evolving question about the Madoff scandal is whether some of those he bilked are likewise shifty. Surely Madoff had some victims who were genuine innocent bystanders — whose money was funneled without their consent to Madoff by intermediaries. But are some of Madoff’s investors — who knew they were assuming substantial risk by placing money into a hedge fund — trying to pull a fast one now? Some are asking that the calculation of their positions be altered in a way that could shower taxpayer subsidies on them, even if they lost nothing!
AP Photo/David Karp
Is he chuckling in his cell?As explained here, Irving Picard, the court-appointed trustee handling the Madoff claims, has been using the common-sense definition of loss. A person who, say, invested $1 million with Madoff, and over the years received $900,000 in dividends, is considered by the trustee to have lost $100,000 — the amount now gone. But some Madoff marks are asking their “loss” be calculated not based on the amount they put in, but rather on the phony totals shown on their Madoff Securities statements when the cops arrived. A person who invested $1 million probably saw, on his or her last statement, a phony claim his or her investment had grown to $2 million. The Madoff investors petitioning for the changed definition want us to believe that’s their loss: they “lost” $2 million, even though they only put in $1 million.
Get it? Now tell me which cup the peanut is under! This means some Madoff marks are pretending to have lost money they never had. Picard’s calculations show that of the 4,903 Madoff accounts, 2,568 got back more than they put in, and thus experienced no real-world loss. But many of those 2,568 are demanding additional payments anyway. Picard calculates that Madoff actually stole about $21 billion. When he was caught, his phony books showed $64 billion being held for investors. Some of the investors are claiming the latter number — the totally phony number — is the one on which compensation should be based.
This matters because investment-fraud losses up to $500,000 can be repaid by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation, a government-chartered insurer. (The SIPC insures only against fraud, not against disappointing returns or bad business decisions.) The person who invested $1 million with Madoff and got $900,000 back would, under the trustee’s common-sense approach, receive $100,000 from the SIPC. But under the calculation claimed by some, if Madoff’s counterfeit paperwork said the investment had grown to $2 million, that person would get a check for $500,000 — the maximum — from the SIPC. See what’s happened? You put in $1 million, then get back $900,000 as dividends, plus $500,000 from the SIPC. Your $1 million has become $1.4 million; you come out ahead on your “loss.” Watch those cups closely!
In turn, if the SIPC runs out of money, which might happen owing to Madoff claims, taxpayers are on the hook. Outside the Madoff sentencing hearing in June, some investors speaking to the media throng demanded that SIPC rules be changed to allow them to be paid more than $500,000. The money would come from average taxpayers, and go to people who made extremely foolish money-management decisions (never put money you can’t afford to lose into a hedge fund), who in most cases were very well-off (Madoff had a minimum buy-in of $1 million), and who in many cases are still very well-off (some Madoff investors asked the IRS to let them deduct losses as theft losses rather than investment losses, a distinction that matters only to those in the top income brackets).

The chart below shows the amount of calendar days that transpired between century marks for the price of gold. For example, after closing above 200 for the first time on 3/6/78, gold didn’t close above the $300 mark for another 459 days (6/8/79). However, after closing above $300 for the first time, gold breezed through five different century marks over a span of only 223 days. In January 1980, the price of gold closed above $700 on January 15th, and then closed above $800 two days later!
And keep in mind that with each successive century mark, the percentage rally required to get to the next hurdle declines ($300 to $400 equals a 33% gain, while a rally of only 9% is needed to get from $1,100 to $1,200). If the price of gold were to stage a rally similar to the one in 1979, $1,200 gold would seem like small peanuts.

Somehow, I always feel when I try to communicate with Frank like a dog going for a pet grooming. He rathers like me in a “pet-Fido-behind-the-ear” way, and he likes to take me for a walk for show, but he can’t understand why I bite.
NEW YORK — People familiar with the matter say General Motors’ Chief Executive Frederick “Fritz” Henderson will resign. The company’s chairman of the board Ed Whitacre Jr. will serve as interim replacement.
These people requested anonymity because the news has not yet been announced.
The rumor I have heard is that the brokerage houses like JP Morgan, GS, etc. who execute trades can see the limit orders. When the people running the exchange (who need to have this information) and the people trying to profit from the exchange are the same, then you have a conflict of interest.
See prev. discussions of high-frequency trading. “Adding liquidity vs. removing $100 million per day”
@marietta – A quick one. Then I have to go. I listened to a little of the Damon Vickers interview on Alex Jones. He seems like a slick snake oil salesman to me. He’s just looking for new clients. He knows the whole New World Order thing is hot and AJ has a lot o listeners and he’s trying to draw them in. He drops some Rockefeller names to make himself seem important and special. I don’t think I’ll listen to the whole thing.
Re: Rockefeller and parks. I think John D. actually did do some great things for the country once he decided to become a philanthropist. I think David Rockefeller changed all that and is one of the main forces behind the New World Order. I actually wrote an article on this subject.
“I suggest we
Learn to love ourselves before it’s
Made illegal
When will we learn?
When will we change?
Just in time to
See it all knock down
Those left standing…will make millions

question : we are facing a lot of deflation – so with that prices drop along with money vanishing in bankruptcy – that should keep pace with devaluing the dollar right? So i dont expect prices to rise – maybe rise in certain areas – deflation and inflation can happen in two different areas. Also the U.S. exports a lot of food as well. Im thinking the inflation will occur on imported good like you said — so my question is do you think inflation will occur only on imported good or do you see it elsewhere as well?
The importance is two fold.
1. The dollar is dropping, and the confidence game that has propped it up for so long is falling by the way side.
2. all prices on US consumer goods should continue to go up; First oil and then Wal Mart slippers, bread, cheese.
With the US being heavily dependent on imports,;and food being the most important of all imports, how long will it be before the export nations say “O.K. we will not take your worthless paper for our bananas anymore”?
PS@New ACTA Leak Confirms Major Threat to Internet Freedom, Privacy

He means keeping his “Lobbyists” secret !

@Bonn – Don’t be rude. If you do not understand than ask for an explanation or just ignore the message. What I meant by Proper war = two nations, armies fighting head to head. And what I thought of by American style war = military conflict = military action, armed responds peace keeping, military assistance, police action, authorized use of force, military advices, military intervention, and so on. fighting on a safe distance from mother land.
@Frances,…I think you were missing the point when Frank mentioned the degradation of culture,..maybe.
There are some who know,..but many who don’t ! : )
It’s all about control silly billy butt head.
My Guess is that a lot of long time gold bugs had SELL orders in at 1200, so in contrast to ZH speculation, I would expect a modest downturn/consolidation now.
would it be possible to move to a new comments style so all the comments are on the same page . I find it very confusing working out where in the thread i am after the first page ,thanks
@all
ohh yeah and when college students cant repay huge college tuition loans due to not finding jobs expect that to be the next round of huge defaults… deflation will be soooo bad.
Drug use and selling will be rampant – increasing jail population and more money to pay for imprisonment over insane policies… WTF
@all
things will go nuts when unemployment compensations aren’t expanded or run out… people will get to that breaking point. College graduates who cant find jobs will start to wake up & things might get messy…. unless everyone decides to join the military to (which military enlistments are increasing alot) Though retiree’s who can’t ever retire will be one big group of people who will be pissed

the guitar intro is Paul Rodgers – Reaching out — kind of depressing… foreclosures, 1 in 5 on food stamps i need some happy music or some good news for once
@marietta … Sorry about the out of character “salty language”. I just feel more depressed and angry as I see gold go higher.
Hey .. marietta .. please do NOT apologize !
It was a pleasure to see you ranting .. reminded me of Sharon who has disappeared on one of Dedo’s missions, never to be seen or heard of again !

Wake up mate plz

@phil – The reason they’re not talking about swine flu anymore is that they’ve already disposed of all the vaccines in people’s bodies. So the pharm companies have already got their money. Plus it’s so obvious that it was all a sham by now. Still, Obama declared an emergency which is still on as far as I know.
@Bonn@Phil – only reason to close the internet is during war time (proper war, not American style war) or revolution, the internet is ever increasing becoming a tool to monitor its citizen’s activities. Also, don’t forget the taxation opportunities for the government on the internet.
Bo Cutter’s Indictment of the Finance Industry
By William K. Black
“Virtually non-existent … particularly in this [era].” This phrase comes from the head of President Obama’s OMB transition team. Bo, an Obama Democrat, believes that Geithner represents the epitome of Obama appointees. President Obama’s other appointees are far worse than Geithner. That is an extraordinary indictment of the administration.
Bo’s indictment is compelling, but his logic proves a deeper failure. There is no reason to restrict his indictment to “the last two years.” The senior managers’ and directors’ failure did not begin with the recession. They failed throughout the expansion of the bubble, the backdating of stock options, after-hours trading, the collapse of the auction rate securities market, the “epidemic” of mortgage fraud by lenders, the massive scandals of the Enron and Worldcom era, and the savings and loan debacle. The financial sector has been in recurrent, intensifying scandals for decades.
By early 2006 – roughly four years ago – “everyone” agreed “we were headed to a cliff” and that the banks’ “major loans” were “nuttiness of epic proportions.” An industry, whose claimed expertise is the sophisticated evaluation of risk and value, universally failed to come remotely close to valuing either. As Bo emphasizes, these were massive errors. These managers got immensely wealthy because – not despite – their willingness to make hundreds of thousands of loans that were certain to crash and burn as soon as the bubble ceased to inflate (which it did in 2006). Bo knows them, and Bo says that every independent (sic) director betrayed their fiduciary duties to shareholders. Every senior officer at the major banks failed. Bo portrays them as incompetents, cowards, and moral failures.
@Frank:
Who made you responsible for other people’s beliefs? If someone in East Java says, “I like rap”, well that’s okay. And if someone in West Java says, “I like Mozart”, then that’s okay as well. People should have a right to their own choices. And I’m not so sure statis in tradition and culture was ever achievable or even existed. As far as passing down tradition, I think there are a lot of traditions which you choose to call trash which others count as tradition. Like rap for instance. But rap is art and above your social protocol system. The Gaia video is art as well. We might not like the message or the style, but we aren’t really the police to decide what is right and good anyway. Are we?
And when people start to call things evil then the real demons come a’calling. Then they have an AUDIENCE.
@marietta – I’m going to check out the Vickers guy. I have to give credit to Alex Jones for being ahead of the curve on a lot of things. I’m not crazy about his racist anti-immigrant stand however.
@all – I like John Stewart at times. At times he can be brilliant. But sometimes he is no better than a typical Democrat politician. I can give you a very clear example that I happened to be listening to earlier today.
The guest was an author – Nikolas Kozloff – who is an expert on Latin America. He was giving a very good impartial account of Hugo Chavez and whenever he would say anything good about Chavez, Stewart would interrupt him and turn it into a joke. It’s pretty blatant and pathetic, but I’m sure most Americans never noticed.
@ Gordo
I get what you saying but Max would be too radical to even get on.
Yeah i agree wit u thats why i said they’ll have to work out how the show goes before they go LIVE
meaning what topic to touch n how long plus it all has to be scrambled in 30 minutes
is what i would like
but then again gotta check who Owns thedailyshow i
If he;s part of the Lunatics it wont air
“Trust me he aint a comedian he is very brilliant he knows what he is doing i just want Max n stacey to push him over the edge”
I get what you saying but Max would be too radical to even get on.
For an example here look what Glenn Greenwald trys to tell the most “liberal” proponents on TV. But they are unwilling to really take it at face value.
@frances – There is a real danger in conservative ideas of “the faith of my father” type. This is the sort of thing that feeds Fascism and Nazis, as well as the conservative right in America today. But the reason their ideas are so powerful and resonate so much is that there is some truth to what they say. Of course they distort the message to their purpose.
Liberals fall in the trap of not realizing the real value of tradition. This comes from a fundamental misunderstanding of culture in society. As much as we would like to see positive change, tearing down the existing culture is dangerous.
In America, we have been experiencing Pop Culture since the 50′s. Which we then have exported around the world. Do you like Rap? Probably not. Do you think its healthy for kids in Saudi Arabia or Thailand to be into rap? Probably not.
Cultures, languages, ways of dress, styles of architecture are dying around the world in the biggest cultural extinction in history. This is every bit as troubling as the mass extinction of animal species. Do we want a monocultural world where there are malls with the same stores and the same food all over the world? It’s already happening.
@bonn
there are plenty of people in the U.S. that see and speak the truth – you just wont find them on any network television show or comedy central for that matter.
@ Frank Hope
@all – John Stewart is your typical liberal. He is nowhere near on the plane of understanding that Max and Stacy operate at.
I hope u are wrong cause from what i gather hes the only one from the US who speaks the truth but suddenly starts to hide behind humour n does’nt go far enough so thats why i want Max to push him over the Edge
Have you guys listened to this pasty-faced, fat-ass, dip-shit Damon Vickers on Alex jones? He comes right out and explains what’s next for the NWO. His father was close with the Rockefellers. His great grandmother was actually proposed to by a Rockefeller. He’s playing NWO good cop! He says the whole world’s mess is mostly the fault of the average Joe’s sloven greediness and that the banksters may have some small part to pay . But unfortunately we’ll just have to accept the butt reaming were gonna get because its too late. And the Rockefellers are angels because they gave us the National parks system. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUgdelBmSl4&feature=PlayList&p=9BC9BAFE84561BC6&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=7
@frank
Pretty much summed it up there about Jon Stewart and materialism – I like Stewart but he is blinded and stuck behind political party lines and lies…. he might be smart but like Orwell said – ‘its always a constant struggle to see whats happening right under our nose’
The U.S. has put billions upon billions into education — but kids are brought up into a culture where possessing toys instead of critical thought is more important.
I wouldn’t agree to the above for myself. And I know really cheap people, lots of them, who think before they purchase. And I think the sea change lately has been a move to being careful with money here.
There is a difference between being a sucker and a suck-up. I would say that suck-ups are smart people who pretend or feign ignorance seeing it as the quickest route to a point of destination irregardless of ethical considerations.
True suckers often wear business suits and buy lots of gold.
@Joe – You’re right materialism is how the Elite convince people to hand over their savings. Americans are such suckers, we’ll buy anything. Were slaves and we don’t even know it. We even like it.
@all – John Stewart is your typical liberal. He is nowhere near on the plane of understanding that Max and Stacy operate at.
I’m thinking on it. Sorry, you do push the snoot button, but I’m holding my own….yes…I’m holding down…..
Okay. I agree that the nasties are pushing to kill multiculturalism. So we agree!
wow.
But I disagree about that “faith of our fathers” bit. You can offer a person an idea, but try and force em to talk it up in spirit. It might just be like Jung wrote:
“The gods of Greece and Rome perished from the same demise as did our Christian symbols: people discovered then, as today, that they had no thoughts whatsoever on the subject.” (pg 14–The Archetypes and the Collective Unconcious)
The symbols no longer had meaning because they were FIAT. That is what religion IS. And change happens: we can’t hold it back wishing for a return to the ‘good-old-days’.
(Mind you, Jung contradicts himself a bit here as he testifies later to a metaphysical essence in the subconscious which is passed on through archetypes and I wonder about the symbols: were they not archetypal? So there is a quandry between the mystical and the superficial and I veer to my own understanding which is neither here nor there.)
JS knows 9/11 was an inside Job but wont and never will go there
But now we all in a funny Financial Caois so lets let it all hang out to the public
GS those guns were made by us lol
@Joe – Yes I guess materialism is what you’re left with once you’re stripped of everything else. Then you can be easily manipulated, chasing the latest Black Friday sale at Walmart – as it that will make any difference in your life. Kids learn this at an early age. Your worth as much as the car you drive.
@all – The battle of 1200 is on. Gold keeps bouncing off that level. It’s all a matter of nerve now. As long as the short traders stick together they can hold off the siege.
But eventually someone will chicken out and turn traitor. Then it will be a mob scene heading for the exits. You’ll know it happened when gold spikes about 1200.
I know where you’re at … all the terrible mistakes and deleting are monumental efforts to surpass. Yeah i dig what youre saying about the teamup. Max has to get on the US airwaves somehow. Maybe he should practice that announcer voice he’s been workin on Haha
@bonn
thats relative – you think the Chinese, Taiwanese , or anyone else for that matter are really crying and indebting themselves to buy Iphones – 55” big screan tv’s… everyone has a level of satisfaction – the banks cheap credit and such fed this desire of a lifestyle
@ Jeemobon
JS reaches out to lotta sane peeps
so thats why I thought if Max n him teem together they could reach a larger audience
man tyoin is difficult after 8 Larges RODFL
@bonn
Jon Daily on the edge wouldnt be worth watching… He is just a comedian with a broad range of knowledge… his interview with Biden a week or two ago shows that he is buying anything democrats feed him
though i did love his destruction of Jim Cramer when he came on his show
@Jeemobon – you won’t be disappointed. I need to listen to it again. It’s been a while.
@frances – Yes we are both named after St. Francis. I’ve always like St. Francis personally. You know he likes animals. Maybe that is where you got your love for animals from.
@all – yes dollar is down. Also the Euro is above $1.50.
Funny you mention Gartman. He is typical of professional mainstream investors today, everything he has learned in his 30 year career is wrong. This is a new ballgame and they are playing the old one. He basically has become a short term trend follower with a ego. Everytime he made a call on gold he was wrong, became a contrary indicator. He finally admitted that the gold market is fishy and somebody was suppressing the price but it wasn’t manipulated.
He has zero cred on anything, he changes his trades faster than a fly on shit. He lies as well says he is short then says long then long time holder all BS.
He is moron and I can’t believe anyone listens to anything he says.
@ Stacy Summary: Max is the former options trader, perhaps he can explain the importance of $1200.
– Don’t mind if he do.
I know there is psychology at work when it comes to round numbers like DJ at 10 000 or Gold at 1000 and so on, so please Max for the curiosity and possibility to learn some more, explain what makes Gold at 1200 anymore important then let’s say Gold at 1100 or 1300 if that is an comparison to be made.
@Frances – It’s not about good or bad. Or Isis vs. Jesus. It is about people being able to have a culture and a society. Part of that is family and religion. Once you break that down then you can change and shape society however you want. If you break down a culture, you break its spirit.
That is what was done to the American Indian. That is what is being attempted against Muslims. For Christians in America it is too late.
I’m not trying to convert Buddhists to Christianity. I think people should follow the traditions of their ancestors to maintain their social cohesiveness and strength. Certainly there is room for evolutionary change, but too much change too fast destroys a culture.
This is then used by the Elite to control and manipulates societies. Once they lose their rudder, then they can be blown about easily. I’m not a conservative, this is just the way I see “the big picture” of what is going on.
All round hundred dollar numbers are significant. Do you remember the cheerleaders on CNBC jumping up and down with each new 1,000 on the DOW?
They even tried it again when the Dow went over 10,000 again, but somehow this has fallen flat recently.
The real significant thing which will make gold do multi-hundreds a day is when GLD begins to trade at a significant discount to COMEX gold. Then soon COMEX will evaporate into thin air.
I never realized this until now but my name contains “bon” which makes me some kind of mutant cousin of “bonn” PSML now I’m doing that acronym shit too
RODFL
Me real name is Bonnie or Sharan Chhoker
@Mother Earth … Do you think that endgame vid is any good?
I’ve read many of “seeyouat20″ posts at IV , and he talks a lot of sense.
I would agree with him that we may see Gold higher before the SHTF, and dumping in parallel with equities as companies and maybe individual investors liquidate assets for cash. Not to mention the ETF holders that may be using margin.
So yes, a Gold dump is possible in the event of a market crash .
Me? .. I think the dump will be a short panic spike downwards and then return quickly to higher highs.
He said – if you’ve got physical gold, just hang on to it ( I agree ) , and try and play the paper gold market for the probable surprises ( if they happen, which IMO is probable ).
FWIW
Is there an exchange to buy farmland? — ahhh nvm Max mentioned that on Facebook you can buy farmland in the imaginary life of ‘Farmville’ – you think Goldman is going to start packaging these ‘farmville’ properties soon and selling it to the feudal lord of imagination land
I never realized this until now but my name contains “bon” which makes me some kind of mutant cousin of “bonn” PSML now I’m doing that acronym shit too
But JS gives his guest only 8 minutes or so
I would like it to be 30 minutes
Plus its gotta be powerfull hmm clueless as to how they would do that lotta planing required plus Stacey
In Confidence Games, Mark C. Taylor posits that money and markets do not exist in a vacuum but grow in a profoundly cultural medium, reflecting and in turn shaping their world. Bringing John Calvin, G. W. F. Hegel, and Adam Smith to Wall Street by way of Las Vegas, Taylor first explores the historical and psychological origins of money, the importance of religious beliefs and practices for the emergence of markets, and the unexpected role of religion and art in the classical understanding of economics. He then moves to an account of economic developments during the past four decades, exploring the dawn of our new information age, the growing virtuality of money and markets, and the complexity of the networks by which monetary value is now negotiated. Returning full circle to a version of the market first proposed by Adam Smith, Confidence Games closes with a plea for a conception of life that embraces uncertainty and insecurity as signs of the openness and possibility of the future.
This is one of the most revelationary things I’ve ever heard. It was like an epiphany for me listening to it. It is at a level of profundity that Max operates at when he is at his best.
@yall
I think its been mentioned here already but its soo funny to watch these commercials (cash for gold) send in your gold and get cash… definitely getting hosed on actual value relative to the $
You know, Frank, Isis predates Christianity. It seems at one time the Christian Church was the hegemon against pagan worship. How the tables have turned!
Hey Stacy, what do you think about the rising Euro? Has it affected prices over there? Last year I felt bad for the EU/UK because they had to deal with falling currencies and a recession. Now I know how it feels, watching my $ get gangbanged.
@ Frank Hope.. Ha Cheers.. nice anology! I have gold already and dont want to get it complicated.. Lord knows life is complicated enough. Just thinking of hedging my bets and buying silver this time.. Have read some articles that predict $150 /oz but only dappling at the moment..
The master of gold trading, Mr Dennis Gartman, was just on CNBC which needs him to give the party line since the reporters all work for a Dead Corporation Walking.
This from memory is what he said, “You have to buy gold now as it is in an obvious uptrend [how about earlier this decade?]. But I don’t want to buy gold in dollars [?] but in Euros or Yen [?].”
Say what Sherlock?
Now he was not talking about ETF’s or gold stocks but gold. What the fuck can this master of investing possibly mean? Seems it doesn’t matter what currency you owned when you then bought gold in exchange.
Now I am really happy as the asshole doesn’t understand anything about investing, foreign exchange and obviously gold and it came out of his own mouth in just a few sentences.
@Supergeek – Thanks for sharing. I saw Bob Dylan’s son Jakob in concert. Looks just like him. It was a small concert and afterwards I got to take my picture with him and chat a little. They even sound alike. It was a very strange experience.
Coincidentally I have just been reading about Isis. The whold occult thing is huge right now as witnessed by the Lady Gaga videos. Egyptian religion worship is a big part of this via freemasonry. Isis and Osiris are all part of it. I’m not sure why the Elite are trying to push this on our children via the Music industry. Mostly I think it is part of the push to destroy our religion and culture so we will be easier to control.
>But a LIVING word? That is what Jesus called himself!
>Think about it.
You knock me out! I’m thinking, I’m thinking…. ah, thinking is so difficult.
That is soooooooooo heavy! Remember the phony name of the guy who is supposed to have ordered the stones? R. C. Christian! Rosicrucian Christ? Arsey something? In the spooky religions, doesn’t Christ equal Lucifer? Not up on all that unfortunately.
Once I came across a claim that Ron Hubbard was the bow-tied gentleman who ordered the stones to be made.
Whatever, these guys mean business.
Oh, but back to living new language… could that mean uniting the world with a new god? There’s no other mention of religion, but we know they’re creating a new religion based on earth worship (under the directorship of occultic high priest Mikhael Gorbachev).
Leaving the desk for a while but checking back later for gems, not necessarily gold.
Words become belief systems, become behavioral patterns, become “normal”.
The power of words huh!,..who would’ve thought.
I’m guessing the PTB, maybe,..: )
Now about golds. Fiat substitution is what makes golds work. The reason there are usage dictionaries is that gold meaning changes with the change of the usage in the society. The representation of the gold by vocals does not indicate the meaning. The gold has no metaphysical essense inherent to its structure. Golds evolve with culture. There is no transcendental signified inherent in the structure of a given gold. The gold is only meaningful as it is interpreted by the use of a public.
JS has got guts but there is a boundry he wont push for what ever reasons unlike u guys but if u guys can talk on the side lines before ya go on and really drive a nail into the coffin while coffin without raising any eyebrows that would be cool
@StevO – My personal thought on silver is that I like to keep it simple. I tried dabbling in sliver and the dollar. But I found that for the most part that they move in similar ways to gold. And it just gets messy keeping track of all of them.
Plus gold is much less volatile than other approaches I’ve tried like gold mining stocks. Gold is basically your luxury car ride. It has great shock absorbers that smooth out the ride. If you’re looking for excitement than hop on the stock market, but if you want to sleep well at night you can’t beat gold.
I married Isis on the fifth day of May,
But I could not hold on to her very long.
So I cut off my hair and I rode straight away
For the wild unknown country where I could not go wrong.
I came to a high place of darkness and light.
The dividing line ran through the center of town.
I hitched up my pony to a post on the rise,
Went in to a laundry to wash my clothes down.
A man in the corner approached me for a match.
I knew right away he was not ordinary.
He said, “Are you lookin’ for somethin’ easy to catch?”
I said, “I got no money.” He said, “That ain’t necessary.”
We set out that night for the cold in the North.
I gave him my blanket, he gave me his word.
I said, “Where are we goin’?” He said we’d be back by the fourth.
I said, “That’s the best news that I’ve ever heard.”
I was thinkin’ about turquoise, I was thinkin’ about gold,
I was thinkin’ about diamonds and the world’s biggest necklace.
As we rode through the canyons, through the devilish cold,
I was thinkin’ about Isis, how she thought I was so reckless.
How she told me that one day we would meet up again,
And things would be different the next time we wed,
If I only could hang on and just be her friend.
I still can’t remember all the best things she said.
We came to the pyramids all embedded in ice.
He said, “There’s a body I’m tryin’ to find.
If I carry it out it’ll bring a good price.”
‘Twas then that I knew what he had on his mind.
The wind it was howlin’ and the snow was outrageous.
We chopped through the night and we chopped through the dawn.
When he died I was hopin’ that it wasn’t contagious,
But I made up my mind that I had to go on.
I broke into the tomb, but the casket was empty.
There was no jewels, no nothin’, I felt I’d been had.
When I saw that my partner was just bein’ friendly,
When I took up his offer I must-a been mad.
I picked up his body and I dragged him inside,
Threw him down in the hole and I put back the cover.
I said a quick prayer and I felt satisfied.
Then I rode back to find Isis just to tell her I love her.
She was there in the meadow where the creek used to rise.
Blinded by sleep and in need of a bed,
I came in from the East with the sun in my eyes.
I cursed her one time then I rode on ahead.
She said, “Where ya been?” I said, “No place special.”
She said, “You look different.” I said, “Well, I guess.”
She said, “You been gone.” I said, “That’s only natural.”
She said, “You gonna stay.” I said, “If you want me to, yes.”
Isis, oh, Isis, you mystical child.
What drives me to you is what drives me insane.
I still can remember the way that you smiled
On the fifth day of May in the drizzlin’ rain.
I dig what you’re saying snoot but when I substituted gold for word in that post it all became nonsense gibberish. Yeah though, I think you’re hitting something here, about the correlation between language and tangible reality. The tao that can be told … when we name something we become seduced by the illusion of its manifestation. This is desire. Desireless…
And yes, in the beginning was the word, and the word was with god, and the word was god. add an “l” to god, and we have the brewings of a new religion rehashed from the old
Coupled with a dollar and world currency collective decline, it’s not hard to see that gold rises. Just give it other reasons. Again, I want to put my profits toward a PirateMyfilm project entitled “When Stacy Met Maxy”.
Max: Repeat after me. Gold.
Stacy: Gold bullion.
Max. Gold bullion.
Stacy: Gold bullion.
Max: Garcon, there’s no gold bullion in the Bundesbank.
Stacy: Garcon, there’s no gold bullion in the Bundesbank.
Max: But I would be proud to partake of your chicken pasty.
@Gordo – Logically, I think your correct about oil being the new money. It makes much more sense than gold. Oil is energy, which is power. And yet gold continues to be treated as more fundamental than oil.
It really doesn’t matter what you or I “believe in”, as long as the people that control the strings believe in gold as the ultimate form of money then we are forced to dance to their tune. (I still think underlying it all is a occult-freemason religion of the super-rich.)
BTW, I got burned investing in oil when it tanked. But gold has been good to me so far and I’m sticking with it until there is a fundamental tectonic shift.
8 larges down n happy having a Smoke God dam
i hope Liver transplant works well
Hey Stacey N Max would love to see you guys with Jon Stewart or vice versa dunno how it works in the Big league
Meaning I would like both of u on JS or JS comes on your show
Not quite sure what u’d talk about or how u enter the topic hmmm eerrrr pffftt smoke comming outta my ears
@Bonn:
Remember when you were pissed about the whiskey? You had agreed that the sign of Johnny Walker indicated a certain flavor of whiskey, and you indicated that there was a concensus to your take. Well, when you were deceived, it brought a bad and bitter taste to your mouth and a distrust in the sign Johnnie Walker. That is how change in usage occurs. And the fiat representation was only an agreement between you and other Walker fans. You were not tricked by more than the sign itself.
@Timothy,…If anything is published about Anthony’s financial position, it’s for a purpose.
These guys are masters of mis-direction and deception.
go figure! : )
@FrankHope:
If you knew your Bible well, you would not say so. The qualification for a true prophet in ye ole’ Bible times was 100% accuracy. A mistake and the prophet was stoned.
@Gordo:
Nothing ‘goes to zero’. If we approach zero we find resistance. The idea of absolute value is the closest indicator of zero, but absolute and zero never coincide. Zero is a quantifier, not a value.
Now about words. Fiat substitution is what makes words work. The reason there are usage dictionaries is that word meaning changes with the change of the usage in the society. The representation of the word by vocals does not indicate the meaning. The word has no metaphysical essense inherent to its structure. Words evolve with culture. Substitute gold for word in the above paragraph and the meaning stays the same.
It seems clear that the gold price will not be allowed to rise over $1000 per ounce, if only because of the psychological effect that this produces. That effect is one of financial panic, which must be avoided at all cost during this financial “crisis”. Once the immediate crisis is over, then the price of gold can be allowed to go above $1000. But right now when stock markets are crashing is not seen as a good time.
[...]
China’s Central Bank for example says it has 600 tonnes of gold. The problem is I found a quote from 5 or 10 years ago and guess what? China reported 600 tonnes of gold. My guess is that by this time China has double that amount but the “official” figure has not changed.
It was not too long before China announced it had doubled its Gold reserves. And the $1000 price mark was indeed the trigger that allowed Gold to continue its rise. And the growing financial panic accompanying it is palpable.

Folks.. just looking at the figures posted here and am wondering about silver? Is this a good investment as it stagnated at around $18 while gold has ‘rocketed’ to $1200 and beyond. I am trying to figure out a good research strategy on silver as it was never really on my radar before and am tyring gauge whether it is cuter investment that gold at the moment. Any of you guys got any good info I could do a bit of research on. Much appreciated!!

@Bonn – I’m not sure what you mean, but I’m glad we agree. Still, I’m intrigued to hear your thoughts on the subject. The history of empires and the history of gold go hand in hand. Can this correlation to “Kingdoms on Earth” be coincidental? But there are “kingdoms” that do not belong to this earth as well. Where is your treasure buried?

>“Unite humanity with a living new language.”
Oh, that requires some guessing. Perhaps the first stage will be the 1984 part, with super-abbreviated dictionaries, and use of pictographs on operating buttons and signs. Instead of “STOP” or “ENTER” there will be simple pictographs–oh, we’re getting there; eventually the slaves will be so dumbed down that they won’t want or need to read text. Emotions and thoughts will be free of rich nuances and all will be communicable via smilies.
Next, the Brave New World phase, where the upper echelons all speak in a language that optimally suits the hive requirements, and only enables verbal expression of authorized concepts and emotions. The cloned post-humans doing the grunt work will get by with pictographs, sign language, and of course grunts and groans. The English language was created for international business–the Brightish language according to Bacon.
I guess the new language has already been created, because whenever they announce they’re going to do something, it’s already been done.

@Bonn – Gold is Money. There is no other way to put it. The question becomes: What is money? And the answer is that it’s not what you think it is.
A dollar is a symbol representing a symbol representing a symbol… And at the bottom there is nothing. Just more symbols.
Gold at least is real and there is a limited amount. It is not perfect, but it at least it is a rational way to represent wealth. It can be used as the basis of a ‘fair’ way to trade. Max is very clear about this.
If you base all wealth on Gold, then how much is an ounce of gold worth? How much wealth is there in the world?
And it all comes back to the question: What is money?
Here in California, I feel like I’m trapped in some gutted tech warehouse with zombies screaming outside. Each new milestone gold passes is like another fluorescent light fixture popping off as the power goes out.

When does the price of gold in US Currency become too high to sell?
This may seem nonsensical but in truth it is not.
I think we can all agree that it is not so much the price of gold rising as it is the value of fiat currency collapsing. So with that in mind does there come a point when you would not part with your precious metals…no matter the conversion?
What if gold was $5000 per ounce?
$10,000?
$1 million?
$1 billion?
I can not take credit for this line of reasoning. I got it from an online buddy at http://www.tatumba.com.
Metals may look good in terms of paper but Max coined the phrase accurately when he called the US Dollar “Warren Buffet Toilet Paper”.

Not doable? Of course it is, there are all kinds of fees associated. The COMEX does not allow you to exercise your contract, it settles in dollars. What kind of bogus market is it when they promise to deliver gold, and you trade those promises and then the delivery is not happening at the last moment. What sets the price if the COMEX does not need to cover the traded contracts in any way? It is a complete fraud.
I expect money to move to silver or leave the Comex..It is a bit like the bad guy staring at his ripped out heart presented to him to show him he has lost. How long before his defiant stare becomes vacated ?
Dear MAx, when are you expecting a correction in gold prices? isnt one of the factor that is boosting gold prices is that people are shorting the dollar to buy gold? WHen the banks needed to unwinded their dollar carry trade, wouldn’t this inturn causes a massive shorting in their gold position?? where is the next gold bottom you expect to see??

@ anything b g
1861: President Abraham Lincoln (16th President of the United States from 1860 till his assassination in 1865) approaches the big banks in New York to try to obtain loans to support the ongoing American civil war. As these large banks were heavily under the influence of the Rothschilds, they offer him a deal they know he cannot accept, 24% to 36% interest on all monies loaned.
Lincoln is very angry about this high level of interest and so he prints his own debt free money and informs the public that this is now legal tender for both public and private debts.

gold…yes, gold…my question for Max is where does it end?

Korea, Vietnam, Iraq I & II all w/o declarations of war.
However, I think the supreme court has ruled that when Congress authorizes “use of force” that this is a defacto war declaration.
(ps. I’m not saying there’s no Treason going on out there, I’m say that the treasoners will need to take a number and wait in line there are so many)
The whole Patriot movement is freakin ridiculous.
If we want a constitutional republic, we have to fight the same force that is feeding the coaliton to Afghanistan. WE have to fight ourselves.
We have to fight to make the truth known and to make men swallow it.
Sick lies feed a system of criminal intent.
@JimO’Donnell:
The problem is that the people serving in the military in the US don’t give a damn about the Constitution. They are in the war for their own personal benefit.
Anyone see the lunacy of the presidents speech of Afghanistan and the fight for freedom at the time of a full moon? Perfect coordination.
We are now getting to IT’S TREASON time.

@SKlein:
Horrible times are coming worldwide, not just to America. We need to understand the power structure working through the banking interests and corporations.
There are corporations behind this war: profiting from all. And China is on board for profit as well.
It is a sickening palate of color to paint our world only red.
Right now the US soldiers are forced to serve multiple terms at war: it is like slavery now. There are many suicides.
Canada, as a part of the G20, serves the Queen. UK voted yes.
@SKlein:

Yes, S.Klein. The coalition is very broad emanating from the mandates out of the UN Security Council and through the jurisdiction of that council over the ISAF force:

@FrankHope:
This is the beginning of sorrows.

AP Sources: GM CEO Henderson to resign
By TOM KRISHER (AP) – 24 minutes ago
NEW YORK — People familiar with the matter say General Motors’ Chief Executive Frederick “Fritz” Henderson will resign. The company’s chairman of the board Ed Whitacre Jr. will serve as interim replacement.
These people requested anonymity because the news has not yet been announced.

@Blink,
The rumor I have heard is that the brokerage houses like JP Morgan, GS, etc. who execute trades can see the limit orders.
I actually wrote an article on this subject.

question : we are facing a lot of deflation – so with that prices drop along with money vanishing in bankruptcy – that should keep pace with devaluing the dollar right? So i dont expect prices to rise – maybe rise in certain areas – deflation and inflation can happen in two different areas. Also the U.S. exports a lot of food as well. Im thinking the inflation will occur on imported good like you said — so my question is do you think inflation will occur only on imported good or do you see it elsewhere as well?
New GM CEO looks to be fired that is two fired this year.
Tough working for the Government when your a business guy
@Stacy
GM CEO resigns….

Drug use and selling will be rampant – increasing jail population and more money to pay for imprisonment over insane policies… WTF

things will go nuts when unemployment compensations aren’t expanded or run out… people will get to that breaking point. College graduates who cant find jobs will start to wake up & things might get messy…. unless everyone decides to join the military to (which military enlistments are increasing alot) Though retiree’s who can’t ever retire will be one big group of people who will be pissed

That’s comedy not rap.

@Frank:
Freedom is change.
@Bonn … I am still worried about the Bio- weapons
Good point … nobody at all is talking about swine flu anymore !
Maybe MSM wants to play it down now …. due to the (false) “exposure” they got ?

@marietta – I’m going to check out the Vickers guy. I have to give credit to Alex Jones for being ahead of the curve on a lot of things. I’m not crazy about his racist anti-immigrant stand however.
@all – I like John Stewart at times. At times he can be brilliant. But sometimes he is no better than a typical Democrat politician. I can give you a very clear example that I happened to be listening to earlier today.
John Stewart on Hugo Chavez
The guest was an author – Nikolas Kozloff – who is an expert on Latin America. He was giving a very good impartial account of Hugo Chavez and whenever he would say anything good about Chavez, Stewart would interrupt him and turn it into a joke. It’s pretty blatant and pathetic, but I’m sure most Americans never noticed.

@bonn
there are plenty of people in the U.S. that see and speak the truth – you just wont find them on any network television show or comedy central for that matter.

@snoot
you must know some smart people – the general population are suckers
@frank
“Americans are such suckers, we’ll buy anything.”
The Copenhagen shit gonna be interesting
@Joe – You’re right materialism is how the Elite convince people to hand over their savings. Americans are such suckers, we’ll buy anything. Were slaves and we don’t even know it. We even like it.
@all – John Stewart is your typical liberal. He is nowhere near on the plane of understanding that Max and Stacy operate at.
That would be quandary. Fooey to spelling.

@Frank:
Thanks for sharing that.
Lots of fun!!!
@ Joe
He is just a comedian with a broad
Trust me he aint a comedian he is very brilliant he knows what he is doing i just want Max n stacey to push him over the edge

@Jeemobon – you won’t be disappointed. I need to listen to it again. It’s been a while.

@all – yes dollar is down. Also the Euro is above $1.50.
@Jim ODonnell
Bonn on max’s show JS isn’t really much of an economic commentator but max isn’t famous enough for Jon’s show, no? he could FSU a bit though.
I challenge u guys next 3 weeks JS live
@frank
Americans have become a materialistic culture that only needs to be entertained & over fed to ignore the process of its own demise.
JS knows whats happenin but is a little scared
Max u can go along indicrimately n like i said hint at the obvious

Chokes is what me ex friends use to call me
All round hundred dollar numbers are significant.
Where do we find a market for spot physical gold?
I guess the answer is China.

@Frances et al. – If you’re interested in words and symbols as they relate to gold and money, then listen to this. You won’t be disappointed.
“Confidence Games: Money and Markets in a World Without Redemption”
@yall
I think its been mentioned here already but its soo funny to watch these commercials (cash for gold) send in your gold and get cash… definitely getting hosed on actual value relative to the $

Do you think that endgame vid is any good? It seems to say there will be a gold pump and dump? I don’t think so..
You know, Frank, Isis predates Christianity. It seems at one time the Christian Church was the hegemon against pagan worship. How the tables have turned!
So. Who are the good guys?

We’ve become a society of Illusion

Hey Stacy, what do you think about the rising Euro? Has it affected prices over there? Last year I felt bad for the EU/UK because they had to deal with falling currencies and a recession. Now I know how it feels, watching my $ get gangbanged.
@ Frank Hope.. Ha Cheers.. nice anology! I have gold already and dont want to get it complicated.. Lord knows life is complicated enough. Just thinking of hedging my bets and buying silver this time.. Have read some articles that predict $150 /oz but only dappling at the moment..
Unwarranted positive expectations are a sign of self delusion.
Yes, MotherEarth. But if a woman asks you if she looks fat in a skirt: lie.
My post on Zero Hedge reposted here.

Now I get it.

@Y’all

http://tinyurl.com/ycwdy6r Bob Dylan – Isis (mp3)

@Frances – Not just a preacher, but a prophet as well. Not unlike our own “Oracle” – Max Keiser.
I wrote the following on October 26, 2008 when Gold was at $733 per ounce.
Buy Gold NOW!

>Yes, phonetic language does seem to be the brighter tool in the >box, but the Georgia Guildstones speaks of some othertongue:

I have been a buyer and will continue to be a buyer until the dust settles and a new currency or monetary system emerges.
Even then I will only part with what is absolutely necessary to purchase a good or service.
The holder of precious metals will have saved their wealth but will humanity even function after the implosion?
Who knows where this madness will end?

What sets the price if the COMEX does not need to cover the traded contracts in any way? It is a complete fraud.
Yes Phil
It was silver that caught my eye.

I wonder if there are other “Dear Leaders” watching this?
Mike
is it possible to see peoples limit orders on the market then ?
@Mother Earth
Comex is largely settled in dollars these days. Taking physical delivery is not doable any more…

I expect money to move to silver or leave the Comex..It is a bit like the bad guy staring at his ripped out heart presented to him to show him he has lost. How long before his defiant stare becomes vacated ?
Be afraid Mr Bankster, be very afraid MWUHAAAAHAAAA
Oh Yes
Gold $1200 is going to be a real battle. The people shorting Gold are going to try their best to beat it down. I say they lose. Big time!
There must be more than just 1200 USD triggers…
One would assume: 1200, 1300, 1400, 1500 …. 4100, 4200.
Significant? Maybe.
Upward spiral more probable? Iffy, that is to say no more than usual in these circumstances…
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD
