I have purchased an acreage in a bay, that is in the intertidal zone. Sometimes there’s water there sometimes not. I hope the ‘global warmist’ are correct, so that I’ll have access to the ocean all the time.

    hey Max,
It’s hard to take you serious, when you talk like global warming is fact and not a scam. You start sounding like a scam artist.

  3. William of the North

I am trying to leave the north because it’s too freakin’ COLD!

  4. @William
believing in global warming doesn’t make him a globalist or any less believable. Its likely a belief that we can’t continue to be parasites of the world.

Seeing how successful and easy the bullion sites are, I was looking for other ways to diversify some sterling – forex just has gives me this feeling that you need to devote more of your life to it though.

    Thanks for any comments.

I guess there could be a Karmaforex, we could all do a Soros and short the pound to inject a little discipline into the treasury…

    Joe ‘bag of dohnuts’ people.
    Looks easy right?!
    Yeah right.

  10. @MiniUS
Thanks. Out of interest, what sort of demographic are these people? All different walks of life or the young, bold and naive?! And, at the risk of sounding stupid, in America?

    @Joe
Thanks for the link, I didn’t catch it first time around so full marks for tenacity.

  11. @all – I didn’t realize we had moved on, so here is my comment again.

I just got a tweet from Jeremy Scahill that he will be on Rachel Maddow tonight to discuss Erik Prick (nee Prince). This will be very interesting because Maddow did an excellent show the other night following Obama’s speech. But the one connection she missed was the JSOC connection. She kept talking about the CIA. But the CIA is passé.

Here is her critique of Obama. Her main point is that Obama has adopted the Bush Doctrine.

Did you have a background post for the Inter-Risk scandal? Feel like I jumped in 3 days late. No problem if not, I’ll just stop being lazy. There’s a lesson here…

Dig the banner. Respect to Cat-Tzu.

  18. @ Niko — yeah, this is the bkground post for the Inter Risk raids:

There’s also the Peshawar “suspicious foreigners” stories, culminating in the arrest and deportation of Craig Davis / CAII (NGO – USAID funded) — followed by his immediate return (thanks to State Dept & corrupt Pak embassy in DC). Davis was said to be Blackwater. But then they say that about every white guy, esp in Peshawar… a good example is DC-intel guru Steve Cash (now private as Deck Prism) — what business does he have in Pakistan?

Some deeply disturbing shit. No MSM to be seen…

    WELL SAID!

    USDA is a public disgrace.

When you have patients being diagnosed with illness related to the quality of food or water, it tells you that the water district and the food suppliers are either not in a stable economy (duh!) or unable to function.

    Either way, it’s bad.

  32. @Tofu Charlie – Thanks for the Inter-Risk info!!! (Will read more carefully in a minute.)

I have a theory about them. I think they are a CIA or JSOC front operation or something like that. I think they are running safehouses for the CIA/JSOC. It is all closely related to Jeremy’s JSOC-Blackwater revelations, IMO.

I agree – shocking isn’t it? Still though the debt incurred by consumers was in 3 areas – mortgages, health care costs, & i forget the other…. One of them was caused by reckless deregulation and credit expansion by the left and the federal reserve Greenspan. Health care costs could be fixed if they weren’t exempt to anti-trust laws and ect. Its a pretty screwed up system isn’t it.

“In this connection, the European Council welcomes the outcome of the G20 Pittsburgh meeting, particularly as regards the preparation of a framework for strong, sustainable and balanced growth as well as continuing work on a Charter for Sustainable Economic Activity. It also welcomes the commitment to take measures to strengthen the international financial supervisory and regulatory system, including reforming international standards for compensation and achieving a single set of high quality global accounting standards. The European Council emphasizes that, in the context of the framework for strong, sustainable and balanced growth, the IMF and the G20 will have to take fully into account the institutional economic policy set-up of the European Union and the euro area as a whole. It calls on the Council and the Commission to ensure thorough preparation by the European Union of future G20 meetings.”

  45. @Tofu Charlie – Here is an article from The Nation (Pakistani newspaper) about Inter-risk

PS to State Minister of Int in FIA custody

Now it would appear that these activities may be revived again and expanded to include the creation of a covert rapid intervention security force under DynCorp made up of retired Pakistani Special Services commandos. The US embassy is also seeking the release of the arrested persons of DynCorp and those linked to it, probably with the intent of having them quietly leave the country. For the security apparatus of the country, it is the importing into the country of a cache of sophisticated banned weapons without the knowledge of the country’s security officials.

Judging from this and the information you provide, this appears to be related to what Seymour Hersh was saying about a secret US plan for Pakistani nukes.

In an unstable Pakistan, can nuclear warheads be kept safe?

Forget sailing ships for the commoners. Read Agenda 21. They are going to force everyone 30 kilometers back from the coastlines.

Where I live they have already cleared boats out of the rivers, into expensive marinas. Many piers and docks that common folks could use are being torn down at incredible expense, for the flimsiest excuses.

@ Frank — yeah, saw/linked those… and did a recent post with a bit about the negative response to the Hersh article in Pak… not his best work, especially the TV interviews he did afterwards, seeming to fuel the ridiculous “invade Pakistan” hysteria.

Inter-Risk has been around for quite a long time.. they were doing lower-level residential security / surveillance work, then diplomatic protection (Brazilian + Jap embassies.. even heard they were protecting embassies in SE Asia but haven’t followed this up)… and perhaps around the same time the State Dept (through DynCorp) turned them into something much bigger. This is separate from the police college recruiting drive — Inter Risk were recruiting all former Paki SSG (special forces)… ostensibly to do static security work for the Embassy and Peshawar Consulate… lol! Propaganda fail.

As for the “safe-houses”… I hear Wackenhut/G4S are doing some of the security at private residences in Islamabad… (overflow from the embassy)

  65. @ Cork Dork — (sigh)… every time a boomer starts to talk about “vigour” and “ambition” I throw up a little bit in my mouth…

  66. @tofu charlie – You’re way ahead of me on the whole Inter-risk story. I just know there is one big US covert operation going on in Pakistan. When you put together Scahill, Hersh and Dyncorp/Inter-risk stories – it turns into a massive CIA/JSOC/Blackwater operation. It is being totally censored here in the US news. Poor Pakistan.

And I agree about the Pakistan hysteria that is being drummed up here in the US. I don’t know if you read my “open letter” to Scahill, but Maddow also did a little bit of drum beating on the Pakistan theme. How many wars can the US run at the same time? There is also the question of whether some of the terrorists attacks in Pakistan are actually CIA black ops to destabilize the country.

There’s a whole lot of crap going down in Pakistan right now. And they’re stuck because they almost went bankrupt recently. I thought China had bailed them out. But now it seems the US is giving them “aid” in exchange for going after the Taleeban.

And the whole US covert operation is not a secret in Pakistan apparently, so the average Pakistani must really hate us. What a mess.

  73. @ Frank — oh, “those” houses. I tend to disagree that Inter Risk would be involved in prisoner handling and interrogation. Of course, they’re accused of everything — one notable rumour is that they are manufacturing suicide vests.

  75. Consumer-Driven Deflation? Not Even Close

If you ask the average person to define inflation, you get this response: “Rising prices.” Similarly, the same person would likely define deflation as falling prices. But both answers are incorrect — in fact, they’re gross misrepresentations of the words, and this simple, but popular misconception is the root of every single economic problem we face today.

Rising prices do not cause inflation, nor are they inflation. On the contrary, rising prices are the result of inflation. Specifically – speaking in terms of the entire economy (as differentiated from individual goods and services) — rising prices always result from an increase in (or inflation of) the money supply – through printing currency, and/or the manipulation of interest rates by any entity controlling the money supply (like the Fed, The ECB, or whatever).

Simply put, inflation is always monetary. Likewise, pulling currency out of circulation constitutes the deflation of the money supply. Falling prices are not, in and of themselves, deflationary. Indeed, if prices are falling, but the government is printing more money, then the economic environment is properly described as inflationary.

  78. @wl – vid Bunning hammers Bernanke today

This will go down as a classic. The whole speech was excellent. Dodd however makes me want to puke. He is part of the inside circle and goes into this kabuki routine as if he had no idea of what was going on. He’ll be the first one to vote for Bernanke again.

It’s like the trick Barney Frank tried to pull on a health insurance public option. He said he was in favor of it, thinking it would never come to a vote and he could score some populist points. Then he voted against it and got exposed as the scum he really is. Our congress consists of a bunch of crooks.

  79. frances snoot

    @TofuCharlie:
No. Invigored like jumping out of a hottub in the snow. You know; reality bites.

I wouldn’t worry too much about nihilism. Survivilism always takes precedence. Here’s good old Obama telling the American people what to look forward to from their deficit-laden Fascist .gov:

“I want to be clear: While I believe the government has a critical role in creating the conditions for economic growth, ultimately true economic recovery is only going to come from the private sector,” he told his audience, which included critics as well as executives from American Airlines, Nucor Corp., Google Inc., Walt Disney Co. and Fed-Ex.
Mr. Obama told the chief executives that he wanted to know: “What’s holding back business investment and how we can increase confidence and spur hiring? And if there are things that we’re doing here in Washington that are inhibiting you, then we want to know about it.”

    http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/04/us/politics/04jobs.html?hp

Wow. How’s that for holding out both hands empty?

    Lockdowns

In Indonesia and Malaysia, when a crackdown is in the works (anti-communist, anti-Chinese, anti-that-neighbor-with-the-noisy-dog, etc.), all escape routes are cut off suddenly. That means islands are the easiest to “cleanse”. In Bali, a few decades ago, they did a spectacular job over a week or so, tidying up old vendettas. Mooring ropes of all boats were slashed one night; everyone turned their lights out. hid in their houses for a week, and waited till the vengeance killings were done. Everyone knew what was going on.

Reminds me of the Katrina op, except most folks don’t know their history so don’t know what’s coming down. Katrina was only a level III hurricane. Charles was there ahead of time, with his smart planners. Trump had his architectural plans all drawn up. After Katrina swept through, the newspapers announced that it was an anti-climax. FEMA had cut most of the communication lines, a ship offshore was jamming signals: then there was this battle between police and special forces, and the levees were blown to flood the districts to be cleansed. Aid to the people was blocked, etc.

    Practice for the next phase?

  82. @WL
I just read your excerpt not the entire article but isn’t defaults and bankruptcy’s that are destroying money supply happening much faster then money creation in the market place (i.e. banks hoarding cash) So i think its entirely possible the have deflation now then inflation soon after. Any thoughts on this?

It was a little disappointing because he was only given about 6 minutes. I recorded it and will have to watch it again. I’m sure it will be available online sometime later today. Try the Rachel Maddow show website.

Thanks. Will look at it later today. Won’t have much time to play over the next few days (weeks?) but hope that people don’t put this issue on the backburner because the ptb are using AGW to bring the whole package together. It’ll make the Soviet experiment look like a tea party.

  104. @Joe

IMO no, you must determine what Money and Credit actually is. SDRs, derivatives, Fed balance sheet junk, gov tax rebate programs, gov obligations, CDs demand deposits, stocks, gold, silver oil? Is it a global calculation or can we use a national one? As long as central banks can add to the supply with only a computer keystroke then deflation a temporary statistical phenomena but not real. We experience dissinflation as a slowing of the rate of inflation, that appears and feels like deflation, I know this is a controversial subject and really comes down to how things are defined. It is a relative phenomena.

We can have inflation in $ terms and deflation in gold terms, They can’t mine more faster than demand. If you treat gold as money then everything is dropping in gold terms.

The Dow in gold terms, gold rising dow getting cheaper, CHART

    http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=$INDU:$GOLD&p=D&yr=3&mn=0&dy=0&id=p08790583350

The Austrian economists define money completely differently from the Keynesians.

Now, the Gov is assuming the debt/credit on behalf of the public which has slowed. If the scheme doesn’t work then the dollar gets replaced or revalued like 1933 and boom instant inflation. Deflation gone, assets rise.

The purpose and job of the Fed is to create constant inflation (TAX), if they fail then deflation is possible, but they have no constraints whatsoever since abandoning the gold backing.

Most who disagree really are arguing over the definition of money and credit. It is complex I have flip flopped a few times.

A generation of overweight blob children that never climbed a tree.

    Criminal.”

We’ve been socially engineered. It’s not their fault, or our fault.
The “criminal” parents were engineered in preparation for the next phase–licenses to have children and to be around children. They want the children. Future dome cities will segregate the generations. Children will be reared in a separate facility. And they will be genetically engineered. Most of us will think that’s a good idea.

Create the problem to provoke the reaction, then provide the solution.

Same with the environment thing. Funny, the ptb are hell-bent on destroying this planet because they really don’t respect nature at all, they want to re-engineer it, “perfect” it. Look at their record of trashing the planet and creating poverty and misery throughout. The ptb truly do belong to a death cult. And yet most of us fall for their sweet talk.

    Good link. Easy to understand.

One of his most shocking discoveries was why the IPCC has been able to show sea levels rising by 2.3mm a year. Until 2003, even its own satellite-based evidence showed no upward trend. But suddenly the graph tilted upwards because the IPCC’s favoured experts had drawn on the finding of a single tide-gauge in Hong Kong harbour showing a 2.3mm rise. The entire global sea-level projection was then adjusted upwards by a “corrective factor” of 2.3mm, because, as the IPCC scientists admitted, they “needed to show a trend”.

Uh-oh, are we allowed to talk about this?

  148. @youri….from another blog….

I have been taking an extreme interest lately in modern issues.. and I know people sometimes go a little overboard when it comes to conspiracy theories and such. I stumbled across this and it seems to fit all too well in with the H1N1 “national emergency”. Whether this has any truth to it or even it was made in good faith I feel this more than anything else violates civil liberties. I am also an engineering student and know all too well about the massive security research and investment into RFID chips.. in fact before I started any political research outside of pure academia I wrote a research paper on RFID chips. My point being is this illegal in a civil sense? I fear it may not stop at pure medical (which could help in a way), but it will lead into locational tracking in a micro-scale, as opposed to gps which to my understanding is half duplex transmissions, and the unit triangulates positions based on satellite positions in the sky.
