Max, responding to the IMF fake concern for the poor, you mentioned that most politicians are anti jobs.
Although I do agree that they wish to only preserve the jobs of the executives floating their campaigns, I’m not sure I agree that being anti-union is being “anti job.”
There are quite a few unions in the US, socialist values, and a myriad of social programs for the worker, and we are a net debtor with a dying job market.
China has virtually none of the above social programs, moves to unionize, safety nets, etc.. yet they are a net creditor, with a growing jobs market. Since China is more anti union than the US, why is it’s job market doing so well?
As far as I can tell, the IMF is a mutually assured destruction mechanism..

The weird thing is that I really WAS at the museum today and the French lady story really DID happen.
That museum is odd.
Seems there was a graveyard right where they wanted to put the museum years back. And the graves were all moved except for the ones where they couldn’t find next-of-kin. They built the museum over the graves. So there is a saying that there are ghosts in the museum.
I was told this by one of the guards once. She was a nice colored lady that elaborated with her big brown eyes unblinking. She said that the ghosties were evident from the fact that the gift shop couldn’t keep mirrors on the shelves. She said, “You just go ask them, honey. Those mirrors fly off the shelves. And there was this night guard upstairs once. He was patroling and he saw someone moving about. He shot at the intruder, but there was no one there. And once I was in this gallery (she indicated the China room) and this lady walked in. She walked in, but she never came out. I went looking for her but there wasn’t anybody in the room.”
“What did she look like?” I asked.
She looked regular but felt funny.
I’m telling you, Tofu. I did shiver thinking it. And I did see this one girl, bout seventeen or so, who kept following me and my friends once. She smiled at me and I said, You look familiar. (youknow when you can’t place someone) and she said Yes. But that was it. She followed us outside and said, “I know you like books, Have you read the Red Masque of Death?”
I swear, Tofu, I never had read that Poe story, and how did she know I liked books? She was there another time, but she didn’t say hello. She went into the China room and then she never came out. I went in and looked and was laughed at by my friends.
So. Truth is like ghosties. It’s a haunt that we keep checking over our shoulder for and trying to place and fighting for and I think it’s laughing mostly.

I would like to apologize to Stac-e-y. I’m sure she is a fair enough source of sifted information: like white flour after the chaff is removed. One enjoys, but the chaff is a bit of a dietary necessity.

I protested because it seems unjust that Max would go on about free ideas, and then renege in real time when those free ideas contrasted with his own. But he is providing a service here and someone has to foot the bill!

About truth.
Was at a art gallery today and filed my way in amongst a flock of older Americans listening to a toupe-ed older guide. Snoot looked like a veritable spring chick amongst the white-haired throng leaning on canes or three-wheeled walking contraptions. My knees also enjoyed the slower pace of the lecture. I spent the afternoon helping a very short-twisted up older lady not get abandoned in the gallery due to navigational difficulties with her walker.
When we reached the China room of the gallery, we entered the European section. (now, mind you, don’t forget to put yourself in one of these tours of the museum, for I never noticed before the tour how lovely the floor was of BAMBOO!) And the blotched-man with the throw rug on his head pulled the crowd up to the Plates. Utter silence greeted his every word as we literally dripped in anticipation (and with a crowd of over-seventies the word dripped is apropo)…
He described a plate I had often admired with French words painted delicately across the face. The man indicated that “a french lady” had been on a tour once and had interpreted the words to the crowd. “It was not the kind of story to tell in front of a crowd,” wheezed the man, “There were children.” At the end of the expostulation, the “french lady” claimed: you see this is a very sexy plate.
Now the man was impressed, sans children, and retold this story to subsequent crowds, sans children, in future. Until the day there was another “french lady” who abruptly called an end to the tale. “That is not what the plate says at all. It is a wedding plate.”
So, what is the truth? The first lady’s story, or the second lady’s story, or the man’s story to us?

I think it also has to do with the fact that people who live outside their motherland or fatherland (what is it?) have to find arguments why they are out in a (unknown) foreign country. The more you bash your fatherland the better you feel about the descion you made leaving your fatherland. But I bash my fatherland also from time to time especially when somting is irritating you.
But the obesity issue isn’t somthing only of the States. Also in France it made it’s appearance also to do with eating habits like too much fried food, eating habits and food choice in general.

Comment about the “Truth about the Comments”:
I find it odd that Max would take umbrage with Bonn for not supporting his native country. Seems both Max and Stacy spend an inordinate amount of time shooting down their own country, the USA: why I remember reading once here in the “our comment section” that Stacy thought it’d be a good thing for the US to have the worst possible leaders so the nation would collapse sooner and leave the world better off.
Youri is one of the most erudite men I’ve ever encountered. Youri is the reason I was drawn into this site in the first place, and not just for his links.
It seem to me that there are more representations of obesity in the world than just the manifestation of fat occurring on the body. Why, there is obesity of the bloated national pride. And obesity of want. And frankly, Max and Stacy both exhibit an irrational obesity of intellectual pride. Pride of an uncertain origin, where the couple feel that their words somehow call “truth” into being.
Frankly, I prefer Faulkner.
So, if this is “our comment board” and Max and Stacy find a proprietorial lordship exists between the contributors to this site and their betters ‘upstairs’ (you know, the ones that get real air time like Max) then I wonder what the hype was about copyright and free ideas.
Stacy, if I were you I’d listen to my own laughing smarmy voice sometime and ask yourself why you feel you are superior to those who spend time interacting in ‘your comment section’. You are one of the least open-minded people I have ever encountered.
The reason I’ve spent the last six months, actually, commenting in the “Max Keiser community” relates to a history of listening to the ‘Truth about the Markets’ quite a while back. Max and Stacy were trashing Americans, and I was quite affronted. This was back in the old dark days of our nation’s demise: the time of the banker bailouts. Max said we would all have time on our hands here in America: and he was right. No jobs and no prospects of a functioning economy for most outside the war machine. I stumbled here and found a chance to input to the two people that caused me such discomfort during a hard time.
Six months and not one of my questions was addressed by the ‘truth’ brigade upstairs. Well, I’m not a fan of ‘truth’. Max and Stacy can call ‘truth’ into being as well as anyone. Truth is just an agreed upon construct which is wielded about to get one’s way.
Since I’m not into eventual humuliation for non-compliance with the ‘truth’ upstairs, I’m outta here. Being treated like a child is not my cup of tea.
