hey Max and Stacy
thanks for the Catholic bashing, we papists take it in good humor but are quizzical why your satire doesn’t extend to other ethno/religious groups somewhat more directly implicated in the ongoing financial swindles
cheers!
Patagonia also might be a good place to look… Ted Turner and George Soros have land near Bariloche… currency trader Joe Lewis, Luciano Bennetton, Sly Stallone, Queen Eliz, Jane Fonda, Doug Tompkins (North Face), Kerry Packer… all have land there
@Breasal – well, no other religion has their own central bank and no other religion uses transubstantiation which can be likened to modern financial products ; and as I am Catholic I know well enough to have fun, unlike the other major religions of which I know relatively little; some people mock outsiders, some people mock themselves . . . I generally fit a bit more into that latter group
@Breasal – nope, that’s the central bank of a country; Vatican Bank is the bank of the Church; and has no official website unlike the central banks of nations
“… since 2004, the water provided to more than 49 million people has contained illegal concentrations of chemicals like arsenic or radioactive substances like uranium, as well as dangerous bacteria often found in sewage.
Regulators were informed of each of those violations as they occurred. But regulatory records show that fewer than 6 percent of the water systems that broke the law were ever fined or punished by state or federal officials, including those at the Environmental Protection Agency, which has ultimate responsibility for enforcing standards.”
Oh, the Catholic church is re-making itself alright. All of the bishops are stepping up to challenge the sway that the evangelicals have enjoyed over politicians; they’re busy trying to strip rights away from women, have taken to telling their parishioners how to vote and handing out political literature during mass, and are using needy people as political pawns to prevent gays from being granted their constitutionally guaranteed right to equal protection under the law.
The Vatican is also busy investigatingUS nuns who are apparently becoming too progressive for the church. But that’s to be expected from a church whose supreme leader says that nothing has liberated women more than washing machines. It’s too bad that they never bothered to spend much time investigating molestation of children by their priests.
I wrote to my local diocese recently and told them exactly what I think about the church and its meddling in domestic policies. Back in my grandparents’ day, people were only educated up to the 8th grade–making it all the more easier to control people’s beliefs; I wouldn’t be surprised if the church is starting to be aggressive politically because they see their power fading with more educated generations of Catholics.
nope, that’s the central bank of a country; Vatican Bank is the bank of the Church;
Stacy, as a Catholic you must know that the land on which the Catholic church sits is sovereign: the church is a sovereign state. It is the same for the finance Lords in London. The church is merged with the state called the Vatican.
Board to Propose More Flexible Accounting Rules for Banks
Robert H. Herz, the chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Board, called on bank regulators to use their own judgment in allowing banks to move away from Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, or GAAP, which his board sets…….. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/12/08/business/08account.html?_r=1&ref=business
Well:
Mep, it’s time I go celebrate my freedom with the dirty duds to be washed!
What do you expect from pervert priests? (sorry to Catholics, but the rites to deny people sexuality is a little o.t.t.) Denied the right to women, the men of cloth distinguish cloth with godliness!
Stacy: “transubstantiation which can be likened to modern financial products”
Oh yes, how I laughed, oh yes.
@david
No worries. When you’re trying to help someone and they just don’t get it, one can get very ‘unhinged’ – i’ve experienced it myself, trying to explain all this shit to your friends – unfortunately some people don’t wanna help themselves and just carry on. I’m just sad I didn’t wake up to this stuff until early last year after. I was always reading social issues, war etc but it was Keiser that thought me ‘price precedes news’, and how everything is as it is because of the way money works.
The RC Church has lost its credibility because of all of the pedophiles that have rum amok throughout the world. It would be interesting to see the % of RC Priests, Bishops, Cardinals that are proven sex predators vs the general population. Something tells me that it is significantly higher.
@ frances – Yeah, sexual repression is definitely an issue. My grandmother used to help clean the church when she was a teenager and had a priest try to get her to have sex with him. He told her that “it’s just skin rubbing together.” But she remained a devout Catholic right up until she died. I guess being Polish, it was too hard for her to break with the church. I call myself a reformed Catholic now. Although I’m pretty much agnostic, I do desire to have a spiritual home and am considering joining a unitarian universalist church. Their principles come closest to matching mine, they are inclusive, and they do a lot of great work in the area of social justice.
@Mep:
Yes, well. I think that the consensus called religion is a crutch personally, and I don’t have any particulars towards which one anyone prefers. Seems so limiting to need to agree with other people on what is individually true. But there you go: I guess people feel the need. I fear “God’s” ‘do-gooders’ more than standing armies.
Religion is usually behind war. It wields the hegemon called truth as a sword of vindication.
Esoteric clubs are a form of religious adherence as well: like the Masons. And the sad thing is that the form of advancement available through that agency is the worst kind of slavery.
@ Max – Were you going to say that the US will only get universal coverage if doctors agree to kill every 5th American and universal healthcare gets a public offering?
Mep:
I figure if God wants to talk to me, I’m open, but I don’t need to have other men translate his or her words for me. And I have no idea if there is a god. I think it is our imagination that finds a need for a fulcrum: we could surely substitute something other than a white-bearded lightning thrower.
And I think the whole animosity that is targeted towards atheists is an indication of the true spiritually of the pious. Pious is observance but not character: it defines the ritual which releases feeling. Man boxes up feeling, claiming it hinders the rational. Then the feeling is released according to a hierarchal structure of universal principal?
We ignore feeling and so make ourselve poor, instead grasping for the material in a bid to prolong our incarnation.
@ frances – I don’t want to debate all of the merits (and demerits) of religion. I’ll just leave the following nugget:
In case you missed it, Pew released survey data showing that the more frequently someone went to church, the more likely they were to approve of torture. (So much for total depravity on the outside.) Church attendance in this case may be a proxy for conservative religious belief. Of the groups surveyed, Evangelical Christians were most likely to think that torture is often or sometimes ok (62%), followed by Catholics (51%), followed by mainline Protestants (46%). Nonbelievers were least likely to agree (40%).
The Church as an INSTITUTION…..well, sadly there are too many notables to thank for that….Paul, Constantine, Augustine, Justinian, Charlemagne, Louis XIII, Ferdinand & Isabella, Henry VIII, Peter the Great…not to mention the multitude of Byzantine Culprits. Overall, the Church is way too Greco-Roman….and way too little cata-holica.
The Church is the people of Faith(trust//supra-naturalism); not Fear(superstition//naturalism) as Max so eloquently suggested. It is the Mystery of Life, Love & Mercy(the Divine Reality) that they(the faithful) properly “adore”.
The church is not a rock…it is what has been set upon a Rock.
As Flannery O’Connor declared….”the Church is just another Cross to carry”.
Yes, torture and religious observance go hand in hand! Think: Inquisition, Crusades, sitting-next-to-that-icky-man-with-hair-coming-out-his-nose on the pew, giving the money that your parent’s donated to YOU to the stupid offering passer-byers, creaky joints on the kneelers, long services where you feel guilty for having such wild and interesting imaginatory explorations, Easter Egg hunts where you are the scrawniest searcher and only find the jaded-cracked egg, etc.
Oklahoma Lottery sales hurt by lagging economy
(AP:OKLAHOMA CITY) Lottery ticket sales declined about $11.3 million in the past fiscal year, mainly because of a downturn in the economy, Oklahoma officials said
Oh, as an additional reminder….the first “man” to recognize the Divinity of Christ’s sacrifice…even, before Jesus himself….was the Good Thief. For that, he, despite his “past”, was rewarded the Kingdom, the Paradise….the first to be admitted, I believe. So, one must consider that the true Son of God was in fact the Good Thief…and that Christ, in fact, deferred//was proceeded by one His Father’s Creation(talk about exquisite Manners) ….that He had come to redeem through His sacrifice for all of the Good Thief’s mis-appropriations. Thus, Jesus became the Son of Man through his “seconding//best-man” of the Good Thief’s sublime “apprehension”(sounds like the intercession of the Holy Spirit to moi).
Anyway….in general, going forward….more Peter & less Paul.(note to Paul & Augustine…Christ was not Plato, so sorry)
@Jim:
So all we have to do is agree that Jesus constitutes incarnate truth and we are in the club? Do we really have to believe it? Is it a gift of god if we do? And if we don’t we don’t get to be in the club?
Just another example of an elitist organization, if you ask me.

Good link. Am getting mighty repetitive, but we should remember that there is no such thing as a retired spook, so Coleman would be dispersing information already out there, but making himself a conduit, slowly moving away from critical areas.
It’s like how very few people know of Eustace Mullins, the first guy to blow the lid off the Fed. Why is it so important for the “truthlings” to ignore him?
@ frances – It really sucked to have to wake up early on Saturday to go to church school and then wake up early on Sunday for church; also wasn’t too pleasant living down the street from the nun. That, and I always thought there was something horribly wrong with religion b/c my dad would invoke God a lot and preach about being a “good Catholic” at the same time that he verbally abused us and generally treated us like garbage.
The target population bandied about by the Gaia folks is far less; I’ve seen them mention 50,000 and 75,000. When they’re making more official statements they keep the numbers in the millions. The futurist books all point to a target of a few city states with tiny populations of micro-managed residents, served by post-human docile slaves and machines. This won’t be in our lifetime.
Also, there seems to be a penchant for underground cities and the assumption that nature is eradicated (“perfected”).
Frances….c’mon, I would have thought that even you would have come to appreciate by now…people are rarely right about anything…and even when they are….their truths remain so inadequate, so unsatisfying, so unsuitable.
@anything,…Yeah, I pondered that, regarding his past affiliations. It’s the same old story,..do the research and try and use one’s skills at discernment etc etc,..: )
You are most certainly correct. One could even say possibly right.
I guess I was just excited about communicating with a real LIVE Calvanist. Seems they all died out from a steady diet of jello-fruit-salad and cool whip round here.

In April 2002, US Congressman Ron Paul sent the following letter to both the US Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve Bank…asking why the IMF prohibits gold-backed currencies for its member states:
Dear Sirs:
I am writing regarding Article 4, Section 2b of the
International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s Articles of Agreement. As
you may be aware, this language prohibits countries who are
members of the IMF from linking their currency to gold. Thus,
the IMF is forbidding countries suffering from an erratic
monetary policy from adopting the most effective means of
stabilizing their currency. (more…)
It is significant that neither the Federal Reserve Bank nor the US Treasury Department has so far responded to this request for an explanation. The reason why they have not responded is that there is no explanation other than the fact that the monetary system established through the IMF was designed to rip off mankind and eventually impose financial slavery on all those people…
Frances….Calvinism is really quite OLD…..the Zoroastrians, the Manicheans(another Persian impulse)….right into Plato through Augustine up into Descartes….the dualism, estrangement of Light & Darkness….Body & Soul. Arianism has been with us since Christ(long before Calvin & Luthur//the Cathars, for example). Monad-theism, Unitarianisms, Literalisms…all Naturalisms have carried Calvins’ nihilistic mark of dis-incarnation…ie, the Mystery outside, invisible, antagonistic, indifferent, removed, punishing.
Frances…you remind me of many people who have read much…but understood nothing. To suggest a Calvinistic streak is to betray that you haven’t a clue….just trigger images, sentiments & impressions(party favors for the bored & frustrated)…..Frances go in peace…you are out to haunt like the Flying Dutchman.
“sounds like the intercession of the Holy Spirit to moi”
Does moi realize how Calvinistic this interjection sounds?
With whom must the Holy Spirit intercede if one is full of this mysterious essential giddiness to which you refer I have no understanding? Is God displaced somehow in your progression of philosophical bobble-heads from Son of Man to Man the Son?
Don’t tempt me on the ‘haunts’ idea. I might take you up on the offer.
@Frances – Treasury is independent of the IMF? & Ron Paul
The US Treasury is weiner cousins with the IMF. The only difference is that the US Treasury tries to limit itself to boinking US persons; whilst the IMF considers the entire world population its prerogative.
I’m sure Ron Paul knows plenty, and also knows when to keep his mouth shut.
Nicely put, Will, but I don’t agree. I think the Treasury has been a facade. The IRS is independently contracted to work for the IMF. I’m sure if we did our research this would be easily verified.
Ron Paul is supported by both the left and the right: how odd.
That is bizarre! I would have sworn that the spiral photo was a fake until I saw the videos, which show a blurrier version of the same. My guess is a failed rocket. If the one of the engines doesn’t work, the rocket will move in a spiral patten.
…Treasury has been a facade. The IRS is independently contracted to work for the IMF.
Perhaps de facto but not de jure. From that analysis, the IMF can be looked at as a façade for the PTB.
There are many ways to look at the current system. I have given up trying to obtain the ultimate answer to cui bono? as it seems either to be hidden, or else to be the (impersonal) result of relinquishing our power to the non-sentient entities which currently rule us (e. g. governments & corporations). The people in these structures seem to be just fine with doing what they are supposed to do to fulfill their charters, without worrying too much about the long-term results. That’s why I have a hard time with “consipracy theories” since we ourselves, including our ancestors, have created the system which is now devouring us.
Image which can be used for pratically everything. But here, because of the “wise” Bloomberg analysis are people investing in gold and not their 1 month T-bill which yield nothing and will devalue a bunch upon maturity.
@frances .. LOL , am I to take it that you are beardless ?
( me too BTW )
Nick is one of the “Watchers” , and normally finds quite a few interesting items to talk about.
He lives ’round the corner from Max & Stacy .. somewhere in France ! … not in a cave, but a very nice and cheap French farmhouse . And he likes cats , so he’s good in my books !
“That’s why I have a hard time with “consipracy theories” since we ourselves, including our ancestors, have created the system which is now devouring us.”
Yes, Will. It is human nature at the heart. But the whole tone of the argument against what people term ‘conspiracy’ seems to me to be a way to embrace the complacent acceptance of one’s own place within a corrupt system. Those that rant against ‘paranoid conspiracy theorists’ are most often those that deny the very structure of the G20 political system with the IMF at its heart.
Anglo-Dutch imperialism that hasn’t skipped a beat for centuries.
Well, Phil. I’m glad he’s nice to animals seeing as most people would deny him company according to his odd eccentricities and his nafty beard.
Hasn’t he the coin for electricity, though? Why do these u-tubers assume that people can bear to peer at them in their dingy dressage? I’m not claiming myself beardless (one might wonder) but I don’t go on ‘air’ and attempt to draw an argument without a good shave!

Theology is not Grammar & Geometry…your prepositions & propositions are TESTIMONY to that!!
In Catholic theology…the TRINITY….the Father is the Creator, the Son is the Redeemer, the Holy Spirit is the Giver of Life….in other words, from now on….Divine Reality comes not from the Father and the Son but from the Holy Spirit(when one prays to God…one prays to the Holy Spirit(to see it, to hear it…as it is. Reality(Mystery); not realisms(portrayals).

Normally, Frances…you put your greasy, verbalized Silvia Playthian mits on everything uttered or printed. Oddly enough you have ignored my only interesting remarks…. about the Good Thief….much preferring to celebrate your designated Dutchman Status, instead… Frances, you are really a very DULL & PUBLIC girl at heart….it explains too, too much.

very nicely put
Yes, well. Sylvia left this earth to escape from the reckoning gong of verbal diatribes most likely quite resembling your own, Lord Jim. Are you dying for your beliefs? Or are you betting somebody else will do it for you?
I’ve SEEN the LIGHT Stella! It’s the story of the ‘Good Thief’!!!
Good grief.
NO, thief. Jim was speaking before the multitudes yesterday (frankly, I caught up with the lecture on utube) about the Good Thief and the Son of Man.
And?
Well, seems that the good thief was hanging next to Jesus asked Jesus what to do to get outter that mess.
Yes, and?
Well, seems that the good thief got the RIGHT answer! It was like *poof* he had the magic ticket.
Did he get off’n the cross?
No, it doesn’t go that’a way. He went-a-head and died. But he got to go to paradise.
Well, that don’t rightly seem fair. How come he had to die to get to paradise? Why couldn’t Jesus just zip-zap the planet into paradise right then-n-there like?
It don’t work that-a-way, Stella. You always were the “dull and public” kind of girl. You ain’t gonna go to paradise fur sure.
Well, sure nuff I ain’t if I gotta believe that Sam-hill loonie-tick story your spoutin of’n somebody else’s plate! And airy way. I’m gonna go read Sylvia Plath. She’s always givin me paradise right here-to-home.
“Frances you are Primitive, a Pagan…..a Barbarian with a keyboard.”
Yes, I agree to primitive and pagan, but Barbarian with a keyboard, no.
What makes you think that all those fancy Jim-Words suddenly transubstantiates Jim into Man/God living his man/life with his jolly man/glory whilst the rest of us, the ignorant worm-like writhers, are set to go hungry at the spirit fest? If not you’re not special, then you needn’t worry about we treeswingers seeing as it’s not the words that make the man but the man that makes the words.

I never did get the purpose for the Trinity, maybe that is why I consider myself a “pragmatic Buddhist.” I see Yesua ben Joseph as only human, but at least a Bodhisattva. Striped of the cultural baggage, the message is the same: Treat others with compassion and kindness. Do no harm.
Now on to economics… bets that Greece will be the next domino to fall? (Giving Domino Theory a whole new meaning.) Its situation seems to be getting some press in Germany.
@ JIM
“”Frances you are Primitive, a Pagan…..a Barbarian with a keyboard”
you gotta see the irony in this comment considering the beleif of the trinity was an adoption of pagan beliefs, adopted at the council of Nicea. No evidence exsists before this date that christians held the trinity as a christian belief but it exsists a plenty in pagan religions of old.
JIM, Epic Fail dude, i guess you still think christmas and easter are also proper christian too.
Contrary to popular belief, the Crown is not the Royal Family or the British Monarch. The Crown is the private corporate city state of London. It has a council of twelve members who rule the corporation under a mayor called the Lord Mayor. The Lord Mayor and his twelve member council serve as prophecies or represent who sit in for thirteen of the world’s wealthiest, most powerful banking families. This ring of thirteen ruling families includes the Rothschild family, the Warburg family, the Oppenheimer family, and the Schiff family. These families and their descendants run the Crown Corporation of London. The Crown Corporation holds the title to worldwide Crown land in Crown colonies like Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The British Parliament and the British Prime Minister serve as a public front for these ruling crown families.
Like the city state of London and the Vatican, a third city state was officially created in 1982. That city state is called the District of Columbia and located on ten square miles of land in the heart of Washington. The District of Columbia flies its own flag, and has its own independent constitution. Although geographically separate, the city states of London, the Vatican, and the District of Columbia are one interlocking empire called Empire of the City. The flag of Washington’s District of Columbia has three red stars. One for each city state in the three city empire. This corporate empire of three city states controls the world economically through London’s inner city, militarily through the District of Columbia, and spiritually through the Vatican.
The constitution for the District of Columbia operates under a tyrannical Roman law known as Lex Fori which bares no resemblance to the US Constitution.
A good point that the ‘good thief’ was forgiven his sins for acclaiming the divinity of Christ.
However, there were the three Wise Men, the Apostles, the Samaritan woman, the Roman whose child he healed. All acclaimed his

I agree with Max that the Catholic Church does not make the most of its properties. I think they are pursuing a corporate expansion strategy similar to Philip Morris and others that have had PR and legal problems in the West. Although the Church still makes its presence felt in Europe and the US on key issues such as abortion, ordination of women, and homosexuality, its major recruiting efforts have been redirected towards Africa and Asia.
How about Vatican Bank in this derivatives scam, I am sure some of the bailout money from Fed Reserve have been transfered to Vatican. It can be a very interesting topic.

@Mep:

So, you see, I am not a fan of religion.
@Will:
Why don’t they disband Congress? There really no need for those fools anymore.
Source: http://exchristian.net/exchristian/2009/05/church-attendance-and-torture-approval.html
@Mep:
Brilliant!

Also, there seems to be a penchant for underground cities and the assumption that nature is eradicated (“perfected”).

http://www.maktabah.org/attachments/570_IslamAndTheFutureOfMoney.pdf
@Will … Islamic // nice find !
It is significant that neither the Federal Reserve Bank nor the US Treasury Department has so far responded to this request for an explanation.

@ stacy,
At least we lapsed Catholics know we’ve fallen.
@ jim,
A good point that the ‘good thief’ was forgiven his sins for acclaiming the divinity of Christ.
However, there were the three Wise Men, the Apostles, the Samaritan woman, the Roman whose child he healed. All acclaimed his
The Gospels, as written, describe an ironic fulfilment on Torah prophesy, where the Messiah is acclaimed by the unwashed masses, most prominently the unclean, while being persecuted by the pious. (“Jesus himself had pointed out that a prophet has no honor in his own country”)

I agree with Max that the Catholic Church does not make the most of its properties. I think they are pursuing a corporate expansion strategy similar to Philip Morris and others that have had PR and legal problems in the West. Although the Church still makes its presence felt in Europe and the US on key issues such as abortion, ordination of women, and homosexuality, its major recruiting efforts have been redirected towards Africa and Asia.
lol… gotta love them papal paypal indulgences.
@Stacy & Max
How about Vatican Bank in this derivatives scam, I am sure some of the bailout money from Fed Reserve have been transfered to Vatican. It can be a very interesting topic.
Also the suicide (read murder) of Roberto Calvi is a very interesting case.
Fingerprints of Vatican, Opus Dei, Mafia, P2 Masonic Lodge, Banco Ambrosiano are easily found in the case. Also case is not yet fully solved, this means a strong coverup operation was
Few days after the death of Calvi, Banco Ambrosiano announced a 1.3 billion dolar hole and shortly after the bank declared bankruptcy. Very strange indeed
What is the difference between Santa Claus and Tiger Woods?
Santa usually quits after 3 Ho’s.
