Oh Yeah we heard these kinds of arguments also about apartheid in south Africa. That it was good to have partheid esp for the black men and women. They can spin everything into the absurd.
Funny how Obama managed to justify the actions of the “terrorists”/popular insurgency in Afghanistan by saying that peaceful methods don’t always work and that violence is justified when peace fails.
Randolph Duke: Pay up, Mortimer. I’ve won the bet.
Mortimer Duke: Here, one dollar.
Randolph Duke: [chuckling] We took a perfectly useless psychopath like Obama, and turned him into a successful executive. And during the same time, we turned an honest, hard-working man into a violently, deranged, would-be killer!
[laughs]
Randolph Duke: Now, what are we going to do about taking Bush back and returning Obama to the ghetto?
Mortimer Duke: I don’t want Bush back, after what he’s done.
Randolph Duke: You mean, keep *Obama* on as managing director?
Mortimer Duke: Do you really believe I would have a *n*gger* run our family business, Randolph?
Randolph Duke: Of course not. Neither would I.
War is inherently liberal, as it takes a vast government, with currency expansionary powers to confiscate enough resources from the governed to keep the war machine going.
Limited government, that can only spend what it taxes, could never grow a military as vast as the US, USSR, Nazi Germany, Stalinist Russia, etc.
@ Dante
It might be the DU in the ammo.
Leuren Moret has been on the inside working in the military industrial complax for 30 years. This article is the tip of the iceberg
and if you search her name there are some good interviews with her discussing the fallout of making and testing the bombs. The whole nuclear thing in a nutshell has made many parts of the planet unsafe to live. And many of us live there today.
Any way you look at it, military occupations are doomed to fail by their very nature. Just as there is no “correct” or “proper’ way to administer slavery, or carry out acts of rape and torture, there is no “wise” or “judicious” way of using military force for non-defensive purposes. It’s convenient to label every individual who actively opposes the presence of foreign troops in their region, ‘Taliban’ (“enemy combatants’ we don’t have to add to any civilian casualty lists) when in fact, active and often violent opposition to the US led occupation is not limited to these bearded bogey-men, but carried out by ordinary people defending themselves against foreign invaders.
Establishment liberals find some measure of comfort in the fact that their guy relies more on anonymous drones to kill villagers in remote mountainous areas as opposed to the cruder methods of mass murder as applied in Iraq, where the poor, dumb grunts on the ground have to brutalize the populace at gunpoint in order to “secure the peace”. Again, the policies of this president are no different than any of his predecessors over the last 60 years, most of whom were vetted and groomed for office by the lobbyists whose interests the puppet-in-chief ultimately serves.
Bushtail had the disadvantage of a coronation ceremony that publicly dispensed with any illusion of democracy, and made no secret of his servitude to the crude ‘oiligarchs’ who greased his way to office. He gave away the Imperial game plan with his inept swagger, revealing the gulag casino state at the heart of his vision of ‘freedom’ both in the US and abroad, while Obama’s dry ice delivery of the same policies provide a more bloodlessly calculated analysis of his government’s murderous objectives. Obama made his allegiances clear in his first month of office, transferring the entire contents of the treasury to his bosses at Goldman Sachs. For some, meaning those who have the luxury of being insulated from the scorched earth reality of American Empire, this toxic equation is perfectly acceptable. It speaks of loftier ideals like “compromise”, ‘bipartisanship’ and cold hard number crunching (30,000 additional troops over a two year period . . . yada yada yada) It avoids the embarrassing cowboy exhuberance of Dr Strangelove and instead lays out a point by point plan to further destabilize and impoverish a traumatized region, spelling out its ultimately violent objectives in the plain language of a high school Valedictorian.
While we all shudder to think what a McCain/Palin presidency would look like about now, we overlook the fact that American voters have the choice between a government that will destroy the nation quickly (“You Betcha”!) or one that will perform its controlled demolition of the economy and all its remaining institutions more gradually. We look back in horror and astonishment at the brutal methods Latin America’s Generalissimos applied to terrorize their own citizenry, when thousands of innocent civilians were “disappeared”, yet we hardly raise an eyebrow as the American middle class is similarly ‘disappeared’ and even applaud as the Dow Jones responds positively to this “jobless recovery” (banker speak for a corpseless murder that can’t be pinned on the perpetrator.)
I remember reading something on this site regarding chemical weapons. Found this pretty disturbing.
ALS Research: Poison Dirt?
ALS and the Gulf War
In 2001, a government-funded study showed that military personnel serving in the 1990-1991 Gulf War were nearly twice as likely to have developed ALS as were military personnel who had not served in that war.
Among nearly 700,000 U.S. soldiers deployed in the Persian Gulf between Aug. 2, 1990, and July 31, 1991, 40 eventually developed ALS — roughly twice the rate of ALS cases found in 1.8 million veterans who weren’t deployed to that region during the same period.
The incidence of new ALS cases increased among Gulf-deployed military personnel between 1994 and 1996, peaked in 1996, and then declined by 2001 to levels that were the same as for non-Gulf-deployed military personnel. That pattern suggested to some researchers that a time-specific exposure might be involved.

Thank you for demonstrating against the monstrous hypocrite, especially on US support for the Honduran coup, the expansion of US bases in Colombia.
My gut feeling when Obama was announced as the winner was it was a very bad sign, they’d had to give it to him prematurely because he’s going to be engaged in a lot of war making.
It’s almost beyond belief that Obama takes a peace prize with one hand and while while delivering a pious lecture on war-making, he sends more troops to Afghanistan and Colombia to bend those nations and the neighbours to the will of the USA.
Police Commissioner Ray Kelly has said the NYPD “will assert the public’s right to be left alone by aggressively going after quality-of-life violators.”
it’s become pretty simple… whatever they say, its 180° from the truth peace prize=war prize

They can keep all the debt-chits, the politicians, bankers & Wall Street, etc. while the rest of the US (“Oh, poor us!”) would be left to fend for ourselves. If China, Russia, Japan want to collect on their BennyBux instruments, forward them to the people who bow down to them, the ones who created them in the first place.

After the U.S. drought, the deluge?
According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, as of last week about 78% of the country was “drought free” — the largest percentage since the monitor began tracking such trends over a decade ago!!!!!!!? http://tinyurl.com/yawhcfb
I was just thinking about this as I dropped off to sleep last night. If you are a lawmaker and you want people to stop doing something, you put a tax on it. If they still do it despite the tax, then you raise the tax. PoliSci 101.
So if you want to stop people from earning money, you tax their income. If they still keep working, tax them more! If you want them to stop saving and investing, tax their capital gains! If you want to break up their families and replace family life with a dependency on government, tax their inheritance so they have to sell their businesses (i. e. break up the family enterprise) to pay the tax!
Now, after decades of such social engineering, our rulers have gotten just what they wanted – a population of people who have no incentive to do anything but become even more dependent on their masters. Think about it – even the top earners (banksters, professional criminals politicians) follow this rule. So, until the rulers eliminate the taxes on investment and income, and start discouraging consumption by replacing these taxes with a sales tax, ain’t nuthin’ gonna change.
Now ask yourself, “Do US pols know this?” The answer (surprisingly, given their brain-dead responses to the crisis) is a resounding “Yes!” But evidently they don’t GaF. Here’s the text of the US congressional finding of HR 25 (2009), a bill that would eliminate all current income, inheritance, corporate and capital gains taxes and replace them with a national sales tax:
(1) retards economic growth and has reduced the standard of living of the American public;
(2) impedes the international competitiveness of United States industry;
(3) reduces savings and investment in the United States by taxing income multiple times;
(4) slows the capital formation necessary for real wages to steadily increase;
(5) lowers productivity;
(6) imposes unacceptable and unnecessary administrative and compliance costs on individual and business taxpayers;
(7) is unfair and inequitable;
(8) unnecessarily intrudes upon the privacy and civil rights of United States citizens;
(9) hides the true cost of government by embedding taxes in the costs of everything Americans buy;
(10) is not being complied with at satisfactory levels and therefore raises the tax burden on law abiding citizens; and
(11) impedes upward social mobility.
So, all the members of the US HoR know this very well! They’ve spelled it out, spent years of effort researching it!!! So, why are we in this state of affairs? My guess is this: if you are a citizen of the US, you are not important except to be harvested.
If you’re wondering if this would really solve the US problem, there is a white paper at the Fed that shows how this change would work:
Yes, you can be sure the MSM would call it manipulation, a scandal, denounce and reject it and then go on reporting the economy has recovered completely, justifying the reappointment of BB
a major conflict will soon erupt that will engulf the minds of the sheeple. Any near future economic disasters will over shadowed by the medias ability or inability to report on it. Systematiceconomic collapse has already occured (Huge cover up via a overflow of stimulus). Those who run the world know this, and now its time for a major diversion , before a new system is introduced to a shell shocked population. I cry for the the poor consumer whores , debt slaves, in developed nations and the slave labor worker drones across this world.
War, War, War and more War on the horizon. Obama made that clear today in Oslo, Finland in front of an elitest group of on onlookers,many of who back a culling of what they beleive to be a over populated world.
Anyone familiar with Mr Nobel & his disgusting background wouln”t touch that “prize” with a barge-pole….disgraceful. Talk about NWO…which is, in fact, a very, very ancient WO.
Damn Alexander & all his upeddy progeny…the list is way, way too LONG.
I’ve inserted the prices converted to USD/oz. If anyone is wondering about how long the drop in gold is going to last, this should give you a clue. Notes on conversions below.
More than 300 kg of the gold bars were sold for 289 yuan per gram [about $1,320/oz.] yesterday, a record high price that is 73 yuan higher than last year’s ox gold bar. About 300 kg is also sold on Tuesday.
Caibai store is the first in China to release the gold bars and was given about one third of the total amount available.
This year, China Gold Coin, an official company affiliated to the People’s Bank of China, issued 3.98 tons to stores around the country.
The gold bar – with the image of a tiger on it – comes in six sizes ranging from 50 g to a maximum 1 kg, which is worth 289,000 yuan ($42,298). [Kitco is currently quoting $35,555]
China Gold Coin began to issue the gold bars in 2003 in the year of goat. The original price of the goat gold bar was only 92 yuan per gram. The price on the Internet for a goat gold bar is now 450 yuan per gram [about $2,050/oz].
“Because of the limited quota, we only accept bookings and can’t guarantee all the customers will get the gold bars. Each customer can only order 2 pieces,” said Niu Jingqi, the public relations manager of Caibai store.
To convert Yuan per gram to Dollars per ounce, I multiplied 31.1 (grams per ounce) times the Yuan price, giving Yuan per oz.; then I divided by the Yuan/USD exchange rate (currently on Kitco at 6.8).
Think on this excerpt – “mechanisms to govern the waging of war” – Obama’s reference to institutions like the UN and NATO. That’s right. No more wars that threaten our survival as a whole, just manageable, splendid little wars that we can make a killing off of.
If its repeated enough, even the( so called) most intelligent people around you, will beleive it to be true. Our thoughts are what create this world and how we see it. Propoganda, generates such a response. Those who know what reality really is, are currently in the drivers seat. However, the veil will soon be lifted.
can we get that Max kaiser chiefs video on maxkeiser.com once again? I really need listen to this song, it s an anthem.
Boy after a speech like this, i m going for a nice Bourgogne bottle tonight. I find it easier to live drunk or stoned than corrupt my intellectual integrity listening to the propaganda.
When I look at the word cloud at Reuters, “Peace” appears once. The words “war”, “wars”, and “war” appear in three places. So, if the size of the word correlates to the number of times it was used, the word war would have been used 3 ways?
How does this word cloud get created?
It seems like the speech may have been more about war than peace.
Obama neglects to delineate that the efforts of the UN on behalf of criminal industrial interest are the actual REASON for the wars we have seen since the UN institution erupted like a blemish on the world’s face.
America is in Afghanistan due to UN mandate.
Khadafi was right to throw the charter over his shoulder.
It was nice to have some time between Keen and Keiser. It seems more than three minutes or so makes a difference because it allows the viewer (generalizing) to get into the right frame of reference to take in the info. Funny how Maxes hands kept showing in Keens window. It would hae been hilarious if Max had said in the beginning ‘We have Mr. Keen on Skype from Australia!’. Hands under the table and look staight into the camera Max!
It is not doublespeak if you translate it into ‘problems should be yours, not ours, even if we create them’. Your war is our peace.
We live in the most pluriform and peacefull society in thousands of years (as well as the hottest decade). The norm is continuous religious, ethnic and tribal warfare and slavery, and a tiny upper class. Not giving one damn about the other groups is what underlies the war is peace motive, and sadly imho that is pretty natural.
holy shit I’m watching it right now and as it appears before me a series of expletives erupts from my lips. Holy shit that is fucked up. Holy shit that is fucked and the fuckn world stands on its side, up is down shit. Everything people are saying here is how it is. Youri just hit it hard.

Reading the Obama Nobel speech, it almost seems like he is trying to turn the Nobel Peace Prize from something given to him personally to a Nobel peace prize given to the United States of America for all their effort after second world war and the nations ongoing effort to underwrite global security. Hens justifying all their wars in the past and ongoing wars today and likely the next wars to come in Iran.
“follow us, think like us, be like us, serve us, and you’ll be fine” is that what Obama is saying?
War is Peace
Freedom is Slavery
Ignorance is Strength
Obama is confusing reactive defense with preemptive murder. Not until the US has tasted the bitter fruits of war firsthand, in her own backyard, will she give full consideration & respect to other countries.

Welcome to Wonderland, where rulers do the opposite of what would be best for their subjects. I’m sure they know this in other countries too.
The smart kids will begin using this in their defence when questioned by babylon about carrying guns down the high street…. if they don’t already….
@Stacy
Yes, you can be sure the MSM would call it manipulation, a scandal, denounce and reject it and then go on reporting the economy has recovered completely, justifying the reappointment of BB
Damn Alexander & all his upeddy progeny…the list is way, way too LONG.
Don’t you mean backeddy here, Jim? Nicely put.
@Mother – your idea of Max’s hands in an Australian skype window would have fit in with through the looking glass world we live in . . .

a major conflict will soon erupt that will engulf the minds of the sheeple.
Roaring trade for tiger gold bars in city
I’ve inserted the prices converted to USD/oz. If anyone is wondering about how long the drop in gold is going to last, this should give you a clue. Notes on conversions below.
http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/life/2009-12/10/content_9153531.htm
To convert Yuan per gram to Dollars per ounce, I multiplied 31.1 (grams per ounce) times the Yuan price, giving Yuan per oz.; then I divided by the Yuan/USD exchange rate (currently on Kitco at 6.8).
What a dick! One of the most bizarre speeches I have ever heard. He basically said that war is just fine so long as it the U.S. that’ waging it.

Hi Max & Stacy,
can we get that Max kaiser chiefs video on maxkeiser.com once again? I really need listen to this song, it s an anthem.
Boy after a speech like this, i m going for a nice Bourgogne bottle tonight. I find it easier to live drunk or stoned than corrupt my intellectual integrity listening to the propaganda.
I go long red wine and short TF1,

@ Youri – the word cloud
The word cloud graphic URL is
http://blogs.reuters.com/global/files/2009/12/obama-word-cloud1-573×419-custom.gif
“In many ways, these efforts succeeded.”
“Four legs good, two legs bad” – Animal Farm
“We have peace in our time.” – N. Chamberlain
I’m so glad that we have peace in our time.
Obama’s linguistic high wire act
President Barack Obama’s Nobel acceptance speech gave equal weight to war and peace – as shown in this wordcloud. http://blogs.reuters.com/global/2009/12/10/obamas-linguistic-high-wire-act/
He’s the leading bullsh1tter of the free world. Well, when I say free world……
holy shit I’m watching it right now and as it appears before me a series of expletives erupts from my lips. Holy shit that is fucked up. Holy shit that is fucked and the fuckn world stands on its side, up is down shit. Everything people are saying here is how it is. Youri just hit it hard.
Ignorance =bliss? According to a new survey by IBM, around half of U.S. investors have never heard of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke. Bernanke Who? http://tinyurl.com/yl98ubz
It’s all Alice in Wonderland upside down world:
Satan=God (Goldman Sachs is working for)
War=Peace (Obama’s Nobel peace price)
debt=growth (That’s what they make us believe)
unememployment=greenshoots (Ask Bernanke)
communism=capitalism (The U.S.A.)
good=bad (Torture is good)
left=right (democrat=republican)
CO2=poison (One of earths essential building stones)
inside Job=outside Job (911)
enslavery=freedom (give up all your rights)
etc…etc…
Reading the Obama Nobel speech, it almost seems like he is trying to turn the Nobel Peace Prize from something given to him personally to a Nobel peace prize given to the United States of America for all their effort after second world war and the nations ongoing effort to underwrite global security. Hens justifying all their wars in the past and ongoing wars today and likely the next wars to come in Iran.
“follow us, think like us, be like us, serve us, and you’ll be fine” is that what Obama is saying?
War is Peace
Freedom is Slavery
Ignorance is Strength

Oh, a thing of beauty. I must say Obamas’ speech that is. He is comparable to Vincent van Gogh. He can sure paint an awesome picture.

CBS 60 MINUTES INTERVIEW – WAS OBAMA HIGH?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYPuPASk9-M
Obama is confusing reactive defense with preemptive murder. Not until the US has tasted the bitter fruits of war firsthand, in her own backyard, will she give full consideration & respect to other countries.
“Bomb for peace”, “kill for peace”, “use depleted uranium for peace”, “rape for peace”.
If you give the name of Alfred Nobel (who is the invetor of dynamite) to this peace prize, no wonder Obama gets it this year.
I should be renamed as “Nobel War prize”.
Ugh ! — Seconded !!
Ugh!
