I’m sorry to say this but I have met many educated Italians from the Veneto region who voted Berlusconi…who aren’t part of the Lega Nord. They chose Berlusconi because he is a business man who apparently gets something done in Italian politics…what exactly, I don’t know.

  • But what if the public understood the whole story? How is it that the banks are now having one of their most profitable years ever? Given that there is not much lending going on, and that the newly increased credit card fees have only just begun to flow into bank coffers, where is all that money coming from?

    Why did’nt I get into Banking ;-)
Then Max & Stacey woulda been talkin about me LOL

    From your link
    http://www.samuelcraven.com/
    there’s this very simple page
    http://www.samuelcraven.com/toota/who-was-paul-mccartney/

Fun one to get folks thinking about “perceiving” and “seeing”. The new tall Paul/s came out with the longer face, the straight legs and the need for seclusion to get the plastic surgery and left-handed guitar thing down. The official girlfriend’s dad was a Tavistock man.

Don’t forget that Dubai has lost 50% of it’s investments cause of the decreasing real estate prices. A severe blow which isn’t something to overcome easily, Dubai has had huge writing-downs already and there is more to come when in some places prices still go down!

The more conservative, rich brother, Abu Dhabi stept in only when it had it’self assured of the proper arrangement made which would incalculate future losses. Otherwise such arrengements are only biding time for future defaults in case more, unable to be pay, debts mature.

We surely hope Abu Dhabi pressed these arangements but creditors also have to have severe write-downs which will rimple the financial world and cause other companies further down the “food chain” to go belly up.

Dubai supose to become the “Disney World” for the ultra rich but since there are not many of them and they live on private Islands and not in Dubai I think it will be the New Costa Del Sol of the Arabic World, which can be a good thing, financially and desperately to rain in more revenues. Why not.

Revenues are the big problem now for Dubai but also for China who has build complete, still empty, cities. But the common still working taxpayer has more financial mouths to feet, that of greedy banks with huge write-downs hidden in their shadow banking system and that of a pullaging financial system which creates huge volumes out of nothing with High Frequency Trading Machines, driving prices up or down to cause huge volatility in trading so that the insider traders can feed themselves with huge bonusses parasitically of the real economy which is bugged down by the corrupt crony capitalistic parasitical behavior.

Bottemline for Dubai is that it could be proved to be difficult to rain in future revenues on tourism if the tourist are bugged down by a everlasting crises paying more taxes and fees to banks and oil bound to go up. Food prices could explode due to lack of maintanance on the food producing grid also by Bio-fuel planting vegitation replacements.

The problem is that the Banks are the only ones who are able to puss ideas into reality but reality shows that they are usually the worse ones to come up with sustainable “killer” ideas since these are driven by own selfish shortime financial interests which have nothing to do with the world, the environment and the common stakeholders in general but only with their money.

Bio-fuel is a good example for that. People are dying because of replacing food with Yuppie Bio-fuel. A very bad and scientifical unfunded not completely tought trough idea based on myths rather than facts. Same with the windmill which is grossly overrated concerning futures “clean” and oil replacing energy demand.

  • @anything but green.again

Do you mean the place Tavistock in Devon? And is that Jane Asher’s dad?

  • @ Davem

    Yup.
Tavistock has become a kind of generic name, not necessarily tied to a specific location. Sometimes agents are described as “London-trained” which usually means Tavistock.

Did you notice that one of the 7/7 explosions was placed outside the old Tavistock address?

  • @ES

    Ahhh there you go then…
I don’t know many educated people in the Nord-est…
    Mostly regular working-class types…
But who’s to say that education actually makes one more intelligent in politics?
That said, I seem to recall that LEGA NORD had the most representatives come out of that area… so the people who voted for Zio Silvio were likely outnumbered anyway…

Thanks for your reply to my list of greenhouse/GW observations/facts that I have not heard disputed. You are one of the few people on this site to have challenged that posting. I will read the link you posted in detail as soon as I have time. In the meantime, can you refute even one of the 5 assertions I made specifically? For example can you explain the reason Earth’s temperature is far above its equilibrium temperature from solar heating alone?

(If you can, I will be happy to correct my webpage accordingly)

    Thanks

  • @ anything.but.green.again.

Ok, I’ve just read the first few paragraphs of the GW-denier website you posted. I’ve already found enough scientific gibberish to question the value of reading more. However I will read more if you can explain what is meant by the following:

“What frauds [sic] are implying through their propaganda (non-analysis) is that the earth is only cooled to the extent that greenhouse gasses allow it to be cooled due to radiation which goes through the greenhouse gasses. Wrong. The planet is cooled by radiation which goes around greenhouse gasses. ”

What does he mean “through” vs. “around”. In terms of physics this makes no sense at all. An IR photon emitted by Earth either encounters a Greenhouse gas molecule (eg H20, CO2, CH4, etc.) or it does. When it does, it has a chance to be absorbed which depends upon the molecule in question. This can be easily measured by taking an IR spectrum of said molecules. There is no option for that photo to “go around” a molecule in its way. Is he trying to deny that IR radiation emitted by Earth goes through the atmosphere and into space.

  • Correction. I should have said:

either encounters a Greenhouse gas molecule on its way out (eg H20, CO2, CH4, etc.) or it doesn’t.

  • @ Chris

Thanks for making the effort to look at that site. Although I disagree with minor points in some of the text (I haven’t read it for a while, and some goes around rather than through my mind, really), the general thrust gels.

Your questions will be answered if you read through the various pages on that site. Re #1, I’m a heretic of orthodox physics (don’t mean to be anti-social, but am a heretic of orthodox medical “science” and.. and.. almost anything I take the time to look into) so it would be better to contact the text’s author, who appears to be a believer of the current paradigm; you should get on famously.
