  2. This is why Investment banks are so much concerned about climate change that is Carbon Trading

“Masters says banks must be allowed to lead the way if a mandatory carbon-trading system is going to help save the planet at the lowest possible cost. And derivatives related to carbon must be part of the mix, she says. Derivatives are securities whose value is derived from the value of an underlying commodity — in this case, CO2 and other greenhouse gases.

    ‘Heavy Involvement’

“This requires a massive redirection of capital,” Masters says. “You can’t have a successful climate policy without the heavy, heavy involvement of financial institutions.”

  4. More Buddhist nonsense… The Taoists of Wudang would never sell-out like this :-)

  5. Why not! In a world gone upside down, why shouldn;t spirtual centers be sold for money.

Shit (excuse my vulgarity) I once thought of getting a little Monkey and dressing him in a priests outfit.

I’d let him dance around and fondle himself and unsuspecting others for dollars. People(Sheeple) would be so amused , Im sure I could make a nice profit. I’d probably get greedy though, and go looking for more little hairy moneymakers . Id end up setting up different troops all over the world.

Eventually my venture would be so big that I would need a head office or spirtual center some where I could cooridnate all the daily actitvites of my money making tree climbers .

Rome or Jerusalem would be good, since I would be in the company of other such types of spirtual businesses and enterprises.

  7. Quote: Mr Shi’s critics claim that he has allowed one of the cradles of Zen Buddhism to become crassly commercial.

So are the critics implying otherwise it would just be commercial?
Never seen a poor Priest!,.ask Al gore

  8. @Mike,..LOL!!

  9. Is this genuine backlash against corporate brainwashing or just a cynical play to keep us apeased?

The people who are profiteering are still corporate but are the people buying it genuinely pissed off?

  10. Max has also popped up in a video for an indie label
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxa8KOAv5Y4
Anti establishment commentators are the new punk so Max and Stacy are the new Sid and Nancy.

  11. @Mike … …That means, according to the International Monetary Fund, that inflation in single digits – say 6 per cent – would “not make much of a dent in the real value of the debt”, because investors would charge the governments higher interest rates if they got even a sniff of impending inflation. Which implies that only inflation in the high double digits – 1970s style – would do the trick….

Or devalue the GBP maybe ?

    I remember the 70′s … 22% mortgage rates !
Not just house prices , but everything doubled/tripled in price within a few years !

  12. 1 day old ,but still…

    Hic ;-)

  25. Frances,….yeah, why didn’t I think of that!
    (K.I.S.S)! ; )

WELL, Dedo. I was thinking more along the line that the literary constructs by which we define evil are rather CAPtivating. The metaphors we use are proferred to us, like cookies. A currency of a sort.

Because we agreed once that words are the chains that men willingly apply to their imagination.

  26. In lot of Mediterranean coast Hotels you can see Shaolin Monks performing for the quests.

And this has been going on for years. So they have been commercialised years ago.

This only means that they are tight on cash and looking for investors.

A “Shaolin Monks” default on the way?

  27. We are almost ready with our 5 th Generation Fighter aircraft which might have stealth capabilities.

  28. @Frances,..Exactly, I was thinking the very same thing,..Input/Output!
How easily it is to bind us to our beliefs with word,..
The whole fabrication is quite ingenious though, wouldn’t you agree?

  29. @Bonn ….I know what you mean….its no more feasable in BKK…..thats why Al Gore and George Soros and the usual suspects are gonna push India into china as cannon fodder …..thats the plan to reduce emissions dont ya know.

I anyway don’t belive in Gold so really ignore my advice

  38. what a disgrace.

is there no limit to commercialisation.

more and more human beings find no value in anything but….. money.

culture, the environment and the soul.

all can transformed for personal gain.

  39. WOW GINO……long time no see where ya been

  40. @Gino…I see youve seen collapse then.

  41. @Dan:
Quite a hot twitch you linked.

    @Dedo:
We find ourselves bound through human attachments.

  42. @Snoot….yes well she does have that certain something.

  43. @Dan:
I’m uncertain what certainty you refer to: I was imagining her as a source of a/c current, like in I could plug a toaster into her and make tea.

  44. @Snoot…..wasnt aware you could make tea in a toaster…..but yes I see what you mean about plugging and charge….LOL

  45. @Dan:
Surely you know tea refers to ‘repast’ as in what the Limey’s live on : acidic-brewed black tea, sugar, white nutrionally deficient toast, and a blop of marmite (don’t forget the beans!)

  47. “China’s favorably weighted trade surplus with us is recycled into Treasury bonds to the tune of $2 trillion. As the dollar depreciates, they sit stoically, silent losers, but so what? GDP growth in China runs at a 10% rate while we struggle to regain normalized momentum of maybe 3.5%.”

I would hardly say that the Chinese are ‘sitting’ like stoic toadies on their dollar reserves, Dan. Do you believe that they are not diversifying into sdr? And where did the man get those obnoxious GDP estimates? 10%??? (3.5???)

  48. I believe they will create derivative Treasury bonds….With a handsome picture of george soros eating a child from the third world.

  49. @Dedo and snoot she has a new video…

  52. http://goldversuspaper.blogspot.com/2009/12/musical-chairs-means-gold-explosion.html

Musical Chairs Means a Gold Explosion
A game of musical chairs has begun. There aren’t enough seats at the physical Gold table to accommodate the growing herd at anywhere near current price levels. An “event” of some type is certainly on the horizon, though I do not know when or how it will begin. How many paper claims on Gold exist relative to actual metal? How much has the fractional paper Gold system, which is designed to suppress the Gold price and make paper promissory notes seem just as valuable, extended itself?

  56. Former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill still owes the exclusive Bangalore Club in southern India 13 rupees in unpaid bills.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/8418330.stm

An entry in the ledger book of the club from June 1899 has “Lt WLS Churchill” named as one of 17 defaulters.

Churchill arrived in Bangalore in 1896 as a young army officer and left three years later to fight in the North-West Frontier – now in Pakistan.

The Bangalore club was formed in 1868 by a group of British officers.

Today, it is one of India’s most elite clubs, retaining much of its late 19th- and early 20th-Century splendour.

  57. Mike2liverpool

    Phil
Yes agreed, i like “JB” i listern to his vids, good guy…..i think he is based in Spain.

    Mike

  58. it just clicked:

    Obama is Amerika’s Gorbachev

  59. @Mike.. he’s based in Germany .
He was recently in Spain for a conference.

  60. Leap 2020 report is out.

LEAP/E2020 believes that the global systemic crisis will experience a new tipping point from Spring 2010. Indeed, at that time, the public finances of the major Western countries are going to become unmanageable, as it will simultaneously become clear that new support measures for the economy are needed because of the failure of the various stimuli in 2009 (1), and that the size of budget deficits preclude any significant new expenditures.

Also available in Spanish, French & German.

  61. @Mike,..just thought you might want to know,. gold is getting a hammering and the pound is going south,..
    over and out “click”!

  62. Well, I spoke to the person that took the coat of Mugabe at the COP15 ;-) She was to cute to kill him I guess..

  63. @ Will

yeah the LEAP/E2020 guys really hit the nail on the head

  64. anything but green.again

    @ Will

Discernment! Benjamin Fulford is just a dismal, flimsy, flakey fake. If you listen to him talk at length you won’t fail to realize this (hopefully).

He’s verrry well connected. Presumably they had to do something with him. After a few more years he might evolve into a more credible character, with a different theme.

  65. @Phil/Deutschland – Thanks for the Dr. Berni vid link.

His site is a good resource, in English and German. Includes news feeds: http://www.berninger.de/

  66. @anything but green.again – Ben Fulford

I just heard of him for the first time yesterday. Sounds like he’s channeling DMT elves, so at least it’s different from the MSM.

  67. @Dan. this sosnoff sounds flakey. he can have his stocks and bonds. will you be following his lead.

  68. anything but green.again

    @ Dedo

That video is pretty good for beginners. Remember the caveat though. Jordan Maxwell (great occult name) is a high-level Freemason. I think he must be some kind of priest or high-priest, if you see the way people bow and almost genuflect to him, and the garb he wears. He helps keep the herd confused and corralled. When they break out, all disillusioned, there’s somebody else ready to pick up the strays and herd them off again to another holding pen.
    But you know all this.

  69. anything but green.again

    @ Will

A good way of learning some of the games and patterns is to listen to as many of these characters as you can stand, so it’s not a waste of time to get your fill of Fulford. It’s a fascinating pantheon of shepherd gods out there, all trying to build their flocks.

  70. i like it how there are all these individuals about referring to herds and masses with an apparently enlightened tone as if they are precluded – we’re all blind folks

  71. @ABGA,…I posted it for the music! : )
If you take heed what Frances stated earlier, it might help those who take things to seriously!
Also I think it might help folk to realize how our “words” are structured in the real versus fake dichotomy.
After all we do live in this system, like it or not!

  72. Bernanke clears senate panel vote, so gold dives. Whee! Another great day in Wonderland…

  73. nothing is verifiable, everything is believable to at least some one

  74. @Alister – an apparently enlightened tone.

I gotta tell ya, I feel like a child trying to understand what’s going on. I read a lot of stuff every day, but IMO it’s all guesswork, and no one really knows what’s going to happen.

Maybe ignorance really is bliss! ;)

  80. Just back from doing some pre-records for the Radio Five Live New Year’s special. Based on what Max did today, I think it’s going to be a fuuuuuun show! Fingers crossed.

Anyway, it’s nice to be in London and then return from a day of lots of walking in the cold to come back to read the best conversation on the web. Thanks for that . . . . right, now I’m going to follow some more of the links . . .

  81. The Underfundedmentalist

  87. Jibber Jabberfrom Democracy Now! Headlines:

US Diplomat Sought to Replace Karzai

The New York Times is reporting an influential American diplomat working for the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan tried to enlist the White House in a plan to replace Afghan President Hamid Karzai. The diplomat, Peter Galbraith, made headlines in September after he was fired from his position as the second-top UN official in Afghanistan. Galbraith said his superior, Norwegian diplomat Kai Eide, was covering up widespread electoral fraud in Karzai’s re-election. But Eide now says Galbraith was fired after proposing to replace Karzai with a “more Western-friendly figure.” The US embassy in Kabul has also confirmed Galbraith presented the plan, but that it was rejected. Although Karzai has long been linked to corruption and fraud, US scrutiny greatly increased after Karzai began criticizing deadly US air strikes and discussing a timetable for withdrawing foreign troops. Galbraith has also come under recent scrutiny after it was revealed he stands to reap a $100 million windfall from oil reforms he helped push through as an adviser to the Iraqi Kurdish government. Galbraith was working for a Norwegian oil company at the same time as he took part in talks on key oil measures in Iraq’s constitution.

These people have been aggressively calling people and leaving scandalous messages in an attempt to sweep more people into their fraud. I know because we were called multiple times last month. My fiance ended up calling the FBI to report them and he was told by them to call the secret service, b/c they are in charge of investigating financial crimes. The calls stopped but I bet that plenty of people were duped into signing up for the card.

  89. @ Max Power–I was in the Bangalore club for dinner last year. A large bust of Churchill adorns the entrance, however no sign of an unpaid bill but many signs of fading, crumbling imperial dreams

  90. @Snoots…..I seem to think she will do rather well.

  91. China’s dumping of the dollar has begun.

During 2009, China hasn’t been buying many Treasuries and has been unloading dollars in a way that makes Geithner shiver at night. And other big U.S. debt carriers like Japan may follow suit if confidence is lost. This presentation, courtesy of RBS, takes a deeper look into China’s holdings and associated volumes since 2005. Get ready for shock and awe.

I can’t get teh presentation to do anything…anyone else have a clue?

  92. COULD CHINA BE DIVERS i FYING INTO SDR??!!!

  94. I think if David Carradine (AKA Kung Fu) were alive today he would most likely
    have hanged himself over this.
Wait maybe Ben Fulford directed the asian Illuminati to just make it look like a suicide.
    RIP David

I think this move on a larger part signals the vast greed that
in some ways could be described in the future history books as our “modern” black plague.

  95. “We must utterly destroy, culture, mastery, rhyme, reason, crabs and all things holly, that the New World may emerge and we will be seen as god’s among the little minded illiterate slaves, god’s!!!!”

Why not IPO’s in say, the Dutch Red Light district. Sure, set it up like an amusement park. Dad can be getting his little stupper stupped and mom can be guzzling cheap imported wine while the kids place college level bets on the crab races.

  96. Will:
Here’s the Peterson Institute view on things:

“Of more fundamental importance is the recent call by the Chinese to be able to hold a much higher proportion of its reserve stock in sdr instead of dollars. One way of accomplishing this would be to create a substitution account.”

    http://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=cache:Ma_p_J51R64J:www.piie.com/publications/pb/pb09-11.pdf+china+reserves+increase+proportion+of+sdr&hl=en&gl=us&sig=AHIEtbT-g2T-GKTkwhVAJyH4vP25ucJ6GQ

The question of whether China is pursuing this avenue is one that has not been addressed. There seems to be a bit of bother in finding any real information relating to China news recently that is not dripping with rumour or mythology.

  97. @frances re: SDRs

At the time of that report, there were only 21.4 billion SDRs. Now that number has ballooned to almost 204 billion as of 11-30:

Not fun to wade through all the stuff on the IMF site.

  98. Thanks, Will! Here’s a stella-something:

    Buster? Is that you?

    Stella!!! Wroof, I can tawlk!

    Good Lord, Buster! What’s happening?

It’s the magic of Christmasy, Steller. When midnight come we’un animals can jaw just like y’all. Wroof Woof, Hello.

Well, suits yurself, Bounty. I spected as much from a mule!
