Insurgent Jibber Jabber

Stacy Summary: Insurgents hack into predator drones? As we have commented, this fake ‘war on terror’ is really about selling faulty software products; but this story also highlights a touch of British style spy buffoonery to the US spook biz.  Next the US agents will start leaving their laptops on buses like their British counterparts.

  3. China is depending heavily on exports and is not able to turn their economy into a huge consumer demanding on.

The Basel mandates will crush the domestic independent producers.

  4. The German people ? .. a resounding YES.

    Ostensibly, yes. Sensibly, no.

  5. @frances snoot

    About China:

Those massive loans from the central government/stimulus partly went into stocks just like on Wall Street. Partly in building. Houses for instance which created complete empty cities. (China’s Empty City http://tinyurl.com/y8vc48c ) China over produced to keep people at work not for the demand, they created stockpiles of all sorts just to keep the people at work. For how long can they maintain this situation?

China is depending heavily on exports and is not able to turn their economy into a huge consumer demanding one. That takes a lot of time also to change the system and the mentality of the Chinese who do not spend and rather save because of having no health care security system for instance.

It is true that the stimulus profited the larger institutions and not the smaller ones. In some areas of China the real estate is showing signs of being bubbly also because Chinese buy as investment. In some areas housing prices did go down. One must not forget that China is a immense country.

I don’t think that BIS arms are stretching so far into China that it can influence the private industry dramatically.

  6. Youri Camra:

Why do they like to tell you the area of sea ice but not its volume? There is less ice.

Yes, heat comes from the sun. No, volcanoes don’t produce more CO2 than 250 years of industrialisation. It’s about 130 times more annually from man than volcanoes, even counting the ones under the sea (the liar Ian Plimer keeps claiming that those ones were ignored, even though he’s been told may times that he is wrong).

Without greenhouse gases we’d be frozen (-15C IIRC). The sun is hot, but not that hot! CO2′s effect is not insignificant.

Yes, if a volcano erupts then the dust will cool the planet for a while. This is similar to the effect that industrial pollution had in the 40s and 50s, before the clean air acts. Since we stopped the smog, the planet has warmed significantly.

Sunspot activity has waned in the last few decades, yes, correct. That’s how we can be sure that the recent warming is due to something other than sunspot activity.

Think and research, don’t be duped.

  7. @frances … Do you believe that Germany would like to exit this cozy club?

The Germans have already lost 50% of their buying power in 8 years thanks to the Euro .
To be fair, a return to DM would have to be at the same 2:1 … otherwise even the Germans could run riot !

Icebergs are melting faster not from the air but because of more raining in that area and more relative warmer and lighter sweet water around the icebergs. (zie Only Dutch : Prof Begemann: Ik geloof niet dat er een klimaatcrisis is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcpPZU9tGMU )

  21. @Frances – Sen. Judd Gregg (sorry I got his name wrong) knows what’s going on, but he doesn’t want you to know what’s going on.

    From the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judd_Gregg"?Wikipedia article:

On November 20, 2009, Gregg vowed to block any legislation put forth that would provide transparency at the Federal Reserve by performing a complete audit. Gregg stated, “I would not vote for any bill and I would filibuster any bill that had this language in it.” Senator Gregg was referring to HR 1207, also known as the ‘Audit The Fed’ bill drafted by Ron Paul. Gregg was also quoted as attributing the bill’s success thus far to “populist fervor” and “pandering” to the public. The bill has been shown in recent polls to have the support of over three-quarters of citizens.[30][31]

On Dec 17th 2009, Gregg voted for extending Bernanke’s term [32]. In his comment Gregg concluded: “I tell you it worked. It’s that simple.”

Although Gregg’s net worth is in the $10 million range (slightly below the average US senator), he can be bought off for as little as $7-8,000 (look for Goldman and Citi in the list). So really he’s working for all Americans by helping to keep inflation down.

  31. More global warming humour:

The pseudo-science of global warming is a global laughing stock and Copenhagen is a farce. In the warmist camp the Main Man is a railway engineer with huge investments in the carbon industry. That says it all. The world’s boiler being heroically damped down by the Fat Controller. Al Gore, occupant of the only private house that can be seen from space, so huge is its energy consumption, wanted to charge punters $1,200 to be photographed with him at Copenhagen. There is a man who is really worried about the planet’s future.

If there were not $45 trillion of Western citizens’ money at stake, this would be the funniest moment in world history. What a bunch of buffoons.

While the pols are emitting more greenhouse gases, the temperature in Copenhagen continues to drop.

Bitter cold and steady snowfall has paralyzed the country’s roads and public transport since yesterday, and the icy cold weather is expected to get even worse over the next couple days.

Re: Your Post Regarding Global Warming. Right On Youri.

I’ll just comment on two aspects:

[1] The sun has huge effects on all kinds of physical phemonina here on earth. Obviously it is the main source of any warming on any planet, other than core or gravity effects in the outer solar system planets and/or moons. From articles I have read there is a very high correlation between the level of solar activity and warming trends here on earth. Whereas man made effects are minute by comparison.

[2] Yes indeed there is such a thing as the greenhouse effect but to what end. I will omit the smaller gases and use figures that are approximate as they vary all over the place depending who states them and what their agenda happens to be.

Gases: Water Vapor (Clouds) 80%, Carbon Dioxide 20%. Ignoring the clouds which can’t be changed and are not due to man, that leaves CO2 at 20%. Of this many contend that at least half of the CO2 is due to the oceans and other events like volcanos.

This leaves (max) 10% due to man which is stretching it a lot. So that if man reduced his contribution by half right now it would amount to a total reduction in greenhouse gases to 95% of the current level.

That’s why it is snowing in Denmark today in an area which almost never has snow.

I probably also should mention animal farts (methane), which can easily be cured by shoving champaigne corks up their assholes.

Sen. Judd is worried that the dollars will get out and start chasing goods. Sen. Judd and his colleagues are paid to worry so you don’t have to. US lawmakers in general don’t care about capital adequacy, because if they did then many more banks would have already been deemed to have failed. These lawmakers care about covering up capital inadequacy and keeping constituents in the dark about what is truly going on. They don’t care what you think, and will vote against your best interests in a New York minute.

About: Earth’s Upper Atmosphere Cooling Dramatically http://tinyurl.com/ybsx2zm

That’s a whole lotto Crap again, excuse my French! The sun is sluggish now on sun spots for a while now and the upper atmosphere cools down. Very logical cause the sun is a very powerful generator for earth and in fact without the sun no lively earth as we know it.

But no CO2 did it ahaahaaaah! CO2 is so insignificant that it’s not even worth to consider it and seriously talk about it. But sometimes some dupers force you to again.

If you have one big Volcano outburst that will create more CO2 than we have ever produced since the Industrial Revolution mind you! That kinda outburst will cause a cooling of the earth for 1 or 2 years disrupting the normal season temperatures down, Why? Because of the immense dust clouds swept up in the upper air thus creating a sun blocking blanket. Again notin to do with CO2!

But you always have some people who can’t stand the thought of being duped for years cause than they would have to admit that they are in fact stupid so they keep up ramming up the BS to further dupe themselves but no longer the rest of us fortunately.

  49. Russian commentary Truth & Beauty
    http://nikitskyfund.com/content/blogsection/4/37/
(in English and Russian) – Excerpt from Desert Storm

…Dubai will not be the trigger for a renewed global meltdown – it is not quite big enough (a few
tens of billions just doesn’t buy what it used to…), it is not massively interconnected with the
global financial system, and the damage will be largely confined to the Middle-East (rich) and, to
a far lesser extent, to the UK banking sector (what is the superlative for “dead”?).. .More fundamentally, as the acute phase of the global financial crisis fades, we expect issues
of solvency rather than of liquidity to come to the fore. The breaking points may not be found where they are usually expected. What is often missed is the fact that Central Banks
can and regularly do repair the solvency of distressed banks by the simple expedient of holding benchmark interest rates low enough for long enough. A rolling loan gathers no loss, and if regulators allow the banks to mark their books to make-believe while earning free money on the spread trade, eventually they
will adequately provision their loan books. By way of example, despite a real estate portfolio most kindly described as “ghastly”
Kazakhstan’s KKB is now enjoying NIMs of around 6% – it takes little financial genius for a bank to make money at 6% spreads. In Russia, the CBR has kindly offered to repo
almost any half-way decent bond; banks can thus earn a substantial spread over their borrowing rate, and are thus gradually repairing their balance sheets – while assiduously avoiding any new commercial lending, thus starving the real economy of credit.

  55. Capital Requirements

“The nation’s 11 largest publicly traded banks, including Bank of China and China Merchants Bank Co., may need as much as a combined 368 billion yuan to keep their capital adequacy ratios at 12 percent, according to estimates from BNP Paribas SA. Wang Zhaoxing, vice chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, said this month that the agency has asked the biggest banks to maintain ratios of at least 11 percent.

Bank of China, the nation’s third-largest by market value, said last month it’s studying “various options” to replenish capital. China Merchants Bank, the country’s fifth-largest lender by value, said on Dec. 12 it will explore ways to sell subordinated bonds and hybrid bonds at home and overseas to boost capital after a rights offer to raise as much as 22 billion yuan is completed.”

“In the December 1 issue of China Finance magazine, Vice Minister of the CBRC Wang Zhaoxing outlined the CBRC’s increase in the minimum capital adequacy ratio from 8 percent to 10 percent for small and medium-sized banks and 11 percent for larger banks. The CBRC also expanded the non-performing loans provisioning coverage ratio from 100 percent to a more encompassing 150 percent.

Wang said increases in the two ratios were meant to encourage the banks to turn profits into concrete assets and provisioning coverage to cope with unexpected losses, allowing the banking industry in its entirety to operate soundly.

Despite the CBRC guidelines, many banks are on the verge of falling below the threshold. According to third quarter reports from the three major listed banks, capital adequacy ratios had amounted to 11.63 percent by September 30 for the Bank of China, 12.6 percent for the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and 12.11 percent for China Construction Bank.”

China to restrict domestic lending and commodity purchases:

“The government announced investment curbs in September on steel, cement and some other industries to stop what it said was excessive investment that could lead to financial problems and job losses.

Total lending in the first 10 months of the year was 8.9 trillion yuan (US$1.3 trillion), far above the official target of 5 trillion yuan for the full year, according to the official Xinhua News Agency. It said October lending was down 51 percent from September.

The CBRC told banks to conduct more rigorous inspections of borrowers and lending.

It said banks with low ratios of capital to outstanding loans and no plans to remedy the problem would face restrictions on such areas as overseas investment and business expansion.”

  83. In an Asymmetric warfare the ultimate weapon is human.

It doesn’t matter how high tech weaponry you have, they are all useless. Unless you control the land with your boots sqm by sqm nothing helps.

So high tech weaponry only increases civil casulties (which converts their relatives to fanatics), drains your treasury and make the banksters/weapon makers richer.

Even if it works it doesn’t matter. If you don’t have thinking brains and sharp eyes in that area forget it.

  84. Hurray for the Islamic militants who are adapting to the modern warfare. History should have thought us that for every weapon created the enemy invents a counter weapon to tackle the new weapon. I cannot believe that the Islamic militants are the only people/nation to do researching on how to tackle drones and other high-tech weapons. Also the US should not be so arrogant to believe that their new weapons are unbeatable or that the enemy would not be ‘sophisticated enough’ to exploit it. As in David vs. Goliath, this is a great story, as a western citizen…shit.

  85. I am wating for someone to figure out how to reprogram the Global Positioning Sateites or the actual smart bombs so that the bombs drop on Kabul [our dear fake Afgan President] rather than where they are expected to drop.

Rather than shoting down these droans they could use them in their own cause. Sure hope no one figures out how to order our nuclear subs to launch missles to their desired targets. Probably would cost about $1,000 in equipment to control the entire armed forces of the United States.

  86. Laptops being ‘lost’ or ‘stolen’ aren’t unique to Britain. Sold to the highest bidder I presume. Shameful

  87. In other hacking news, “Iran” has a cyber army menacing Twitter. Not sure why Iranians would do that seeing as how Twitter made their revolution happen and all. But I guess that doesn’t matter. What matters is that we’re supposed to think that Iran is in attack mode. This time, it’s about cyber attacks rather than terrorist attacks.

  88. and a group of people living in caves from Afghanistan hijacked airplanes, flew them trough the most secured airspace in the world, crashed them into landmarks, the first three and only since steal framed buildings collapsed (one building 7 not hit by an plane), iraq had wmd’s, yellow cake from Africa, dirty bomb, anthrax and now they can control remote controlled state of the art predators but I digress to stay on subject; hack attacks are usually come from the US itself (written documents about “testing” security) if this is not the case it comes from Russia or China who just try to get an edge on their competition. The us themselves hack into Russian and Chinese systems as well. This is just propaganda; beside these hackers could only watch, the military has (software) technology that is 30 years of innovation ahead what is available for the public. I don’t buy it, all hackers stories are meant to shut down the internet and increase defense spending (although it already is pushed to the limits with over 700 billion) if they really cared about online “security” and well being of people they would deal with the wireless networks of huge corporations/supermarkets that get hacked very often and millions of personal information is stolen and sold, something media never talks about. the establishment only spreads fear where they can benefit from the solution.

  89. @ Stacy – The guy from the Danger Room was on Rachel Maddow’s show last night talking about the hacked drones. (Video.) It sounds like it could take years to fix the problem. Wonder who will get the contracts to go through and fix all of the faulty technology? Also, the name “Reaper” for a drone? I thought Predator was bad. Now we have unmanned grim reaper drones.
