I think I will give up trying to rally max and stacey on the climate change issue – I reckon Max and Stacey may have something to gain from this whole climate change crap. Greenpeace being an activist organization on karmabanque – though that is mere speculation and more research is warranted. Anyone not already a true believer who has seen the coverage in climate depot or the CRU e-mails is at least now skeptical on the science and usually refrains from using the word “denier”. Re climate change – please max – we all know it’s happening. It’s the science of it that’s in question. Surely we can have a cleaner environment without setting an artificial limit (government intervention again) on supply – I’m sure if you went into the economics behind it you would also be able to follow the money. It’s not a tax for more garbage men to come clean stuff up put simply.

Yeah, true enough, the O’Shansky (sp?) battery patent which replaced the Delco lead-acid abortion in the EV1 (increased range from 80 miles to 120 miles per charge, and more importantly, didn’t crap out after 10 months but rather, lasts seemingly forever!), was purchased by BigOil. Apparently, that O’Shansky battery was such a TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCE that they realized it would put them out of business, since most electricity (in the states) comes from COAL.

When asked where the mother was, the little girl replied, “In Heaven, with the angels.” Santa had to take a short break after that one. Children understand more than the adults would like to admit.
The way I see it , global warming is called Summer and global cooling is called Winter. Its easy. I have lived in Florida for 30 years and this past summer was not any hotter than when I moved here 30 years ago. As far as cold goes , it does get cold here in the winter . Some winters are colder than others but I don’t see any change over my 30 years living here. For what its worth I think global warming is BS and just a way to tax the crap out of people . And when global warming does not happen they can say they stopped it and saved us all . What a crock of BS. Im sure no one wants to breath polluted air or drink polluted water. But I think well meaning people have been duped on a move towards world government .

I recall reading and debatin Ravi Batra at UCLA 22 years ago. He predicted collpase back then as well. He serially predicts economic calamity.
In many ways the income differences have sharply narrowed. For example, there are a billion Chindians that have joined the global middle class. So the difference between the average Western citizen and Asian has sharply narrowed. Also, the difference between African and white US wage earners is sharply narrowed. Also, the difference bewteen the top 10% caucasian US and bottom 20% US caucasian wage earners is also sharply narrowed.
I really like dr. batra’s ideas. max – it would be great if you could contrast his theories on wage stagnation with Mike Shedlock’s theories on over-powerful unions. Though he is right most of the time, Shedlock constantly rails against unions, seeing them as kneecapping industry. Seems like the power of unions needs more discussion. If anyone doubts what unions can do for the average working person in America, I suggest you watch the 1970′s documentary Harlan County USA. By the way did you know that Thatcher first started these funding of invetigation of Global warming because she didn’t want the burden anymore of the oil. There was just the recession deu to teh oil problems then and she had problems with the coalmineworkers. She wanted to push through nucleair power. I listened to part of an NPR show that talked about the vicar who OK’d shoplifting. As usual, NPR chose a guest who presented only the big business perspective, and everyone on the show kept on saying the US has an excellent safety net. NPR = corporatism

Bet your bottom dollar that it’s all a scandary with the gold book keeping cause they sell gold but keep it on their books for gold suppression reasons. Counting gold double has been done for years. A Central banker will always lie about two things , interest rates and gold. The gold has been derived through multiple gold lease contracts as such creating phantom gold.

Horror of horrors, Andrew has me invested in BioFuels. The guest Ravi Batra’s theory is probably more complicated than it sounds..What I don’t get is that wages are payed out of revenues, so is he saying that progressively more revenues have been funnelled into the banking sysyem and replaced by government loans? If so, where did al the money go? and if not how can companies pay more if they do not make more?

Warming/Cooling is tied directly to the Solar Cycles. We also see the same patterns of warming and cooling on Mars, and to my knowledge man is not responsible for environmental change there…
California wild fires are continuously made worse because of state law that prohibits the disking of land near housing when fires break out. This is supposed to protect some wild field mouse.
Warming and Cooling happens. I do not believe the correlation is tied to CO2.
Remember, the drive for this new religion is to impose a new trading scheme for carbon that was designed by the Enron crowd…
