If you had just a minute to breathe
And they granted you one final wish
Would you ask for something like another chance
Or something similar as this
Don't worry too much, it'll happen to you
As sure as your sorrows or joys

@Gordo - thank you for posting that informative tid-bit about Bank of America and Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Bank of America doesn't like an outsider cutting off the lucrative deals with the State of Illinois?

It looks like the window company was being harmed by the economy. The bank had cut off funds. (Sound familiar to all those small business people?).

So, the Governor cut off the Bank from state funds until they restored lending to the company he was defending.

The bank then gets pissed off and uses their back door to the AG or DOJ to get back at the governor.

wow... makes me realize that the MSM was taking orders from somebody to air that crap on Blagojevich....meanwhile nobody was covering the fight with Bank of America

Makes you wonder what kind of political propaganda the MSM will report when the banksters go calling the network chiefs at CBS, NBC, ABC/Disney

@ Bill Stewert - "Intellectual shock"

I share that shock and awe. The Supreme Court decision this week on campaign finance is a solidification of the coup d'etat of 2000 when the Supreme Court gave the national Presidential election to GW Bush. After that point, it is appropriate to review the Supreme Court decisions on key issues, but none is more foundational than the bribery of political officials by corporations.

The military loyalty can not be divorced from the bribery in Washington DC. The reason is that when these high ranking generals, admirals, and officers "retire" on the military, they end up employed by the major military contractors. So, they get the military contract on one end and then employ these people when they "retire" on the other. This is happening not only in the DOD, but more importantly in the CIA.

The Dept of Justice does not have enough people to handle these matters and does not have the capability in court to prosecute each. The courts would be overwhelmed in any federal district with the amount of fraud which would need to be addressed.

Recall that the fraud is pervasive in the banking/financial sector too. This reflects the largely undisciplined and unregulated linkages between the government and the corporate entities.

When people have no justice and have no opportunity to get their day in court, we have a God given right to freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, right to bear arms, and right to show force.

Will anyone argue to me that those rights are being respected in the United States?

I doubt anyone has linked the NRA, Electronic Frontier Foundation, and ACLU; but it may be coming time to do so.

More importantly, carrying of guns as sidearms like in the old west might be a fashionable statement soon. But, if the guy writing at johngaltfla.com is correct, just a display of force will be met with a bureaucrat giving administrative abuse to your entire family.

Force of action by the military is the issue. If the DOD and Pentagon lose confidence in the Congress and White House, they certainly have the firepower to coup d'etat the state. But, never in 250 years has that occurred in Western European or North American nation, has it?

The fact we honestly consider these possibilities is sad testimony to the lack of justice for those who are hammered by the big financial corporations and their related big business tribe.

...
A Funny Video on an Unfunny Part of the World

The following is a well-done spoof on news coverage in the Middle East:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWVcTHBVwkM

A Supply Side Joke

A traveler wandering on an island inhabited entirely by cannibals comes upon a butcher shop. This shop specializes in human brains differentiated according to source. The sign in the shop reads:

Artists’ Brains $9/lb Philosophers’ Brains $12/lb Scientists’ Brains $15/lb Economists’ Brains $19/lb

Upon reading the sign, the traveler notes, “My, those economists’ brains must be popular!” To which the butcher replies, “Are you kidding! Do you have any idea how many economists you have to kill to get a pound of brains?!”

Bad News, and Worse

A doctor says to his patient, “I have bad news and worse news.”

“Oh dear, what's the bad news?” asks the patient.

The doctor replies, “You only have 24 hours to live.”

“That's terrible,” says the patient. “How can the news possibly be worse?”

The doctor replies, “I've been trying to contact you since yesterday.”
