UK terror threat level raised to ‘severe;’ BAE developing spy drone strategy for UK

Stacy Summary: I wonder if these two headlines have anything to do with each other? And I wonder who BAE had to bribe to get this contract? Oh yeah, they are one of those too big to fail, too big to investigate firms. Sorry, won’t ask that about them again.

You did not really answer my embarassing question. Ireland will be paying its debts with what ? The question is the same with Iceland, Greece and the UK. Pay with what ? How can a country without natural resources can pay back all these debts ?
Isn’t it a mathematical impossibility ? You should ALL declare bankruptcy instead of paying and do like Iceland.

  3. @ Mep – not just the dairyfarmers and not just in the US.

At least he shot the cows himself. Here in Norway depressed farmers sometimes just give up on the cattle – stop feeding them, don’t mend broken water supply – leave them to die in their own manure.

This is usually not the case among dairyfarmers since the milk is collected regularly (altought it has happend).

Actually I am amazed it don’t happen more often, as the modern life of a farmer is a recipie for depressions.

In a couple of generations the farm have transformed from a community of workers to a solitary workplace.
The farmers have decended from being a leader of a community to become dependent on debt and government subsidies.

The permanent workers left, then the seasonals and the children, so the wife. Now they often don’t get to have a familiy at all.

As a resonse to this problem the government wants us to snich on our neighbours – by law.

    @naomi- oh, I do think the J.P.Morgans et al.care – It’s just what they want isn’t it?

  4. Nothing better than a RED terror alert to divert from these little problems like terrible deflationnary spiral coming to United Krachdom. State terrorism is a great gimmick. Having problem with the electorate. What do you do ? You call Ben Laden busters !

Obama has reacted vigorously to the United Citizens ruling. The average American would have ignored this ruling; it is being played FOR A REASON. Obama insists we have something he calls “our democracy”. He is implying that we belong to the .gov corporate body, but I don’t recall having my ear tagged.

Watch the new demands being called for in a ‘what can you do for your country’ rhetoric about new citizenship requirements. It will come to pass. That is why the road was prepared with the e-verify legislation.

    @Naomi:
I’m sorry for my rant: it is considered ‘extremist’ to speak of these things in the US. The question regarding the commonwealth is one you’ll need to research: but interestingly, the Queen may only knight those who are subject to the commonwealth. Greespan, Giuliani, and the Mayor of Denver were all ‘us citizens’ knighted by the queen. I really don’t want to argue with anyone concerning these topics. It is useless and will play to light when the time if upon us.

The corporate .gov has stepped beyond its jurisdiction not only here but worldwide. The idea that the end of the US economy will end the US MIC is naive in the extreme.

I hope this helps. Sorry for the rant, again.

  10. UK is the next fascist state with the USA. Sad this drone stuff ? No REVOLTING ! Gordon Brown is a perfect shit like Obama. I don’t know when people will wake up. It’s always the same stupid argument. It’s to protect you. In reality these bastards are thinking of their own protection and the bankster’s protection when shit hits the fan. UK is effectively becoming as fascist as the USA. What they used in Irak and Pakistan will be also used on you.

  11. @Mep re: cows

Very sad story. You can read the desperation, anger and depression between the lines. Very sad.

But you know, to the global elites, JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs and Barak Obama, this is just a very small blip and nobody cares.

  12. :-( Been hearing for months how hard things are for dairy farmers in the US:

The US changed around 1871, Bonn. But I doubt that corruption was ever far from those servicing the royals anyway. The hypocrisy of those that hide behind the Queen’s skirts and point the finger at the US corporation which serves her interests (all the while perhaps knowing that this is so) is really rather putrid.

And now we have the Beast of Yeat’s imagination crawling about and gnawing on the furniture.

Being an agnostic, I wonder why anyone would believe that King James could be trusted with the words of ‘god’?

They really really are doing ‘god’s work’.

This is what Papa Bush was referring to: a rule of law. The latest supreme court decision was not without precedent! The precedent will become apparent when the free people are bankrupted by their own loyalties.

  31. @Stacy

I would like it if you two could go over the oil interview again, because to be honest I’m not sure I’m getting it. You talked about credit being based on future oil revenues and the futures market not setting the price (this being set by the cartel). My question remains what does this mean in terms of vulnerability fo financial system collapse and/or laws against derivatives. Also how much influence do banks have on the price?

  32. frances snoot

Those who assign evil should really delve deeply into the legal writ behind the insanity. It’s a fascinating labryrinth.

And the ‘rule of law’ is justified through the tyranny of deceit.

The Corporate USA has used the public school system as a means of manipulating and deceiving the free people of the US. The system is soon to be privatized through the No child left behind provisions of a federal/corporate legislation which most probably is VOLUNTARILY followed by our state governments. All federal legislation INCLUDING TAXATION is completely voluntarily adhered to. This includes the draft for the Queen’s press-gang servitude in the US military.

With the bankruptcy of the corporation, the US ‘citizen’ will be left adrift without state government (the states are all undergoing bankruptcy) or corporate care.

FBI/CIA has no legal jurisdiction whatsoever.

The bankers have had their way with us.

The title to the lands in the US will be asserted legally as part of the Queen’s commonwealth.

The fabrication is not the words I type but the lies fed to Americans through those in service to the federal corporate or the queen’s interests.

Please feel free to correct any errors I’ve made without attacking my person.

The interesting thought concerning the Supreme Court ruling is that the city-state Washington represents a corporation, not a people. It is the same underlying premise as the city of London:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_of_London_Corporation

The ‘federal government’ is a sham bankers front for the corporate whose interests are uniquely tied to the City of London Corporation.

The unfortunate deception is that we are operating in a ‘democracy’. Congress is a sham, and they well know it.

The entire fiasco is set to go through CORPORATE BANKRUPTCY.

  50. An NZ story, not Ireland:

5,000 queue for supermarket jobs in NZ

    http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/01/22/2799419.htm

Over the past two days, 5,000 people turned up to apply for 150 positions at a new supermarket in Auckland.

A doctor was among those in the queue.

New Zealand might be officially out of recession, but many Kiwis are still doing it tough; the number of New Zealanders receiving an unemployment benefit jumped 13 per cent last month.

One teenage girl clutching her resume outside Countdown in the South Auckland suburb of Manukau said she had not done a day of paid work since leaving school early last year.

Some people lined for up for seven hours. The interviews lasted about 10 minutes.

But one teenager was trying to stay positive despite the huge crowd.

“I think I’m the one. I’ve got everything in this package,” she quipped.

Others in the line were there to offer support.

“I work for an organisation called Elevator who support people with disabilities in employment,” a woman said.

“And I’m here with one of my candidates today to take her through the process of applying for a job and hopefully it’s a successful outcome for her at the end of it.”

Darryl Evans, who works for Budgeting and Family Support services in South Auckland, says the economic climate makes it hard if potential employees have middle or higher management skills.

And Mr Evans says there are a growing number of Kiwi families that are not coping.

“They’re finding it hard to put food on the table,” he said. “They’re certainly finding it hard to maintain private rentals.

“There’s a lot of desperation and certainly within our service we’ve seen a lot of families who are presenting. And depression is right up there, so there’s a lot of despair.

“But there’s also some hope. There’s hope that there is going to be change. You’ll see today that there’s hope because these people are hopeful that they’re going to get a job.”

One man in the line who did not want to give his name said he was desperate for work after being laid off last year.

He says he does not care if the pay is low and the hours are unsociable. He just wants to be back in the work force.

“I’m qualified as a butcher but I’ll be applying for produce, seeing as I’m not touching pork any more,” he said.

The manager of the supermarket, Wayne Dohmen, says many of the people who stayed in line waited for a number of hours.

“It just goes to prove that there are some people out here that are pretty desperate for work and are pretty committed to do whatever it takes to try and get some form of work within the local community,” he said.

He says the supermarket’s employees are not paid according to their age and all will receive the same rate.

The starting rate of $NZ13.59 ($10.71) is $NZ1 more an hour than the minimum wage.

The candidates will find out in the next three weeks if they have been lucky enough to get a job.

  54. @ Phil?Germany Interesting Read, about the cards…

Here is my take……Let her eat shrimp lol as she demands it!!!! Why?

    IF
    Fraudulent Invention Demand =>Debt Creation
    And
    Debt = Fiat Money
    Then
Fraudulent Invention Demand = Fiat Money
    Where
Fraudulent Invention Demand => Electronic Debt => Electronic Money

    Therefore
She can eat what she wants If Fraudulent Invented Demand is useful as a form of money creation and quantitative easing lol

  61. I fell asleep watching Brazil last night. Gotta love dystopian terrorist flicks, especially in this day and age.

  62. Alert, alert, I just woke up from a terrifying dream. Not kidding. :-( But my bet is that y’all should be as worried about my alert as you are the “highly likely” terrorist attack in the UK.

One of the things I’m worried about is the privatization of intelligence gathering. Who is to say that the “internet chatter” that spawned the UK terrah threat being raised to severe didn’t come from a private company? Also worried about the planned misrepresentation to the public of what the drones were to be used for. Guess we can stop deluding ourselves in the US now that OUR drones are used *just* to keep track of the waters surrounding the US-Canadian border and Mexicans crossing the other border.

Subprime goods is right, Stacy. Wonder if just anybody can hack into those UK drones like the *terrorists* can hack into the US drones in the Middle East? If so, civil liberties groups have ANOTHER reason to be on alert.

  76. Strange if you remember the times of real terrorism in The Netherlands and Germany. In the Netherlands you had the Moluccas and in Germany the RAF (Baader-Meinhof Group).

The Moluccas felt betrayed by the Dutch government cause they were promised their own land in Indonesia but after WOII we couldn’t do anything about it cause the Americans took over Indonesia, sort of, in their influence.

Some of the Molluc youngsters hijacked a train and there was a very grim situation. But never I can remember this was hyped like it would ahve been today. Maybe also because WOII thoughts were still there so people knew what horror could be evoked.

Today we’re mainly talking about fake terrorism indeedy practiced to make some people rich on the fear mongering.

I suggest we call for a AIRLINE BOYCOT!!!!! They have to remove all the BS 3D Scanners otherwise WE DON”T FLY! I can guarantee you that these scanner would be removed tomorrow if they knew nobody would put up with it. But because people became such nannies they can pull it off.

There nothing wrong with the good ol frisking if they really think there’s a thread which in most cases there isn’t. If there is an attack it normally is an inside job like the boy in Amsterdam was led on the plane by Mossad, without search and a passport.

  79. @Palantíri; that’s where statistics come in handy, compare the people killed by terrorism (even in deliberate destabilised regions like pakistan) to people killed in car accidents.
Here’s a good picture although it’s old numbers still shows whats going on with war numbers; http://www.prosebeforehos.com/government_employee/06/22/civilian-death-statistics-in-iraq-afghanistan-compared/
There’s a need for security but the media/government is able to selectively enforce it; while ignoring real issues. Just like haiti suddenly people care about other people with nothing? that’s great there’s about a billion more that have nothing, reasons/causes are a different debate. War isn’t about “freedom”/”democracy” good for anything it’s all about profits/power/control.

  80. Is it the need for security that develop the technology or is it the technology that invents the need? – I think I’ve seen this before.

…also Stacey you and Henk are right about terrorism in Europe; in London you made damn sure to say goodbye to your loved ones in the morning. Thanks, Noraid.

  84. And this story goes with it:

Hundreds of people have been killed in horrific bombings in Iraq after a British company supplied “bogus” equipment which failed to detect explosive devices.

The head of the company, which has made tens of millions of pounds from the sale of the detectors, has now been arrested and the British Government has announced a ban on their export to Iraq and Afghanistan.

I’m sure BAE’s alleged spy drones will be just as bogus as the other fake devices and software programs being sold for many millions to taxpayers around the world. These are our modern day ‘capitalists’. . . selling subprime goods and tainted milk and offering fake services.

  85. I thought even in the US the admitted it was an bullsh*t concept; and it was ended, Are the people in the UK still falling for this trick? not that crazy; took over 7 years to figure out something very obvious if history was properly studied; no wmd’s in iraq or connections with al qaida. Anyways the “spy” grid goes extremely far; from unmanned drones able to recognize people based on biometric data to programs like echelon but most interesting is the datamining part. Kathrine albrecht is someone who talks about rfid technology and datamining alot, maybe a good guest for keiser report/on the edge? The cctv camera system failed on 7/7 beside the drills that took place for exact the same targets at the same time and more “coincidences”. But all roads in the end always lead to banksters, no surprise BAE is involved; maybe the defence department in UK wants to increase/maintain its budget too, too much special interests working together all for their own benefit.

  86. “undertake commercial work” … I guess that could include for example guarding m#nsanto crops from citizen action.

  87. I think it will be used to monitor drug trafficking more than anything else..It is impossible to get to a crimescene with a blimp and you can’t see what people are thinking…

  88. @stacy

That is exactly what I try to explain to friend in the US. WE had war in Paris you didn’t stand beside a bin. In London you knew on your citytrip you knew the Ira could hit again.

  89. Horny sky bobbies peeping down your blouse?

  90. Terror threat set to severe: This forum and others have been discussing that for over a month. It is an establishment scheduled event and not a terrorist one. The money markets must be busy right now.

Re: surveilance.. the only thing to be thankful for is that BAE are involved and they are acutely useless at developing technology.

Their expertise is in managing patents for technology (Haarp) and thus have been working for the gulag state for sometime. They are also good at deriving income from the taxpayer and helping terrorists in Saudi Arabia as the Prince Bander episode revealed.

  91. terror is possible any time any place anywhere without lots of funding, without much of organization.

But in this case terror is done with lots of funding and a lot of organization by the government.

  92. @steve – in my experience, the Brits and the Europeans are not as scared of terrorism; I guess they have a longer history with it and that happened during a time prior to cable news amplifying the fear message of private military contractors and hawkers software systems?

  93. @ Steve
I dont think its about election this time its about a world wide distraction
    Hic ;-)

  94. Raising the alert level is just a sign that an election is coming. This is a proven method of manipulating the vote during the G.W.Bush administration. Enhancing the fear level drives people to want to return to the familiar, the government you’ve got. It worked like a charm in 2004 in the U.S.A. Of course, Americans are more paranoid than most so It may not be transferable to the U.K. But Mr. Brown may be desperate enough to try anything at this point.
