New British Social Attitudes Report Published Today
    http://tinyurl.com/ykguor8
    press release

    some of the results

    • Public support for increasing taxation and public spending is now at its lowest level since the early 1980s. 39% support this, down from 62% in 1997.
    • Only 8% support cuts. The most popular view, held by 50%, is that spending and taxation levels should stay as they are.
    • Support for redistribution from the better off to those who are less well off has dropped markedly. Fewer than two in five (38%) now think the government should redistribute income from the better off to those who are less well off, down from half (51%) in 1994.

    • Britain is becoming increasingly liberal in its views about homosexuality. 36% think sexual relations between two adults of the same sex are always or mostly wrong, down from 62% in 1983.

    • Only just over half (56%) now think that ‘it’s everyone’s duty to vote’, down from two thirds (68%) in 1991.
    • Although only a minority of people (18%) go as far as to say that ‘it’s not really worth voting’, this figure has more than doubled since the early 1990s, when it stood at just 8%.
    • Only just over two in five (41%) of under 35 year olds feel they have a duty to vote.

  45. Where Barbie Went Wrong In China (Forbes) http://www.forbes.com/2010/01/22/barbie-mattel-china-leadership-managing-rein.html?boxes=Homepagetoprated

Unfortunately Mattel failed to execute the strategy well. Like Apple ( AAPL – news – people ) when it launched the iPhone in China, Barbie made the mistake of paying too little attention to local consumer tastes. Chinese women tend to like cutesy, girlish pink clothes (think Hello Kitty), not the sexy and skimpy kind Fields designed. Odd as it sounds, Snoopy-branded clothes, cartoon logos and all, are hot sellers for women entering the white-collar workforce.

Either way, there is no government — only ceaseless lawlessness and overpopulation.

    Yet the end product is:

Some 77 million Americans (the lowest 25%) have mean net assets of minus $2,300 (-$2,300.00) per person; they live from paycheck to paycheck, or on public assistance.

The lower 50% of Americans own mean net assets of $27,800 each, about enough to purchase a modest car.

  68. frances snoot

Well, ronron, he is only the frontman.

And these are the people behind the financial ‘reforms’. These are the people who are funding the G30. Soros is the Financial Times and the Huffington Post.

Those who are being lauded are criminals. The ideas they are forwarding are in the service of the uber-rich. The end result will not be Utopia.

These men are the ones who wish to take down the banking competition and enslave us.

  69. frances snoot

There is no such thing as American Patriotism: there is only loyal service to the corporate. That is why the Republicans hailed that messed up Supreme Court ruling as ‘free speech’.

The patriot movement is not co-opted; it never existed. The service is to the bubble-machine that fed/clothed/housed the American people while they performed their criminal actions overseas in the name of ‘democracy and freedom’.

  70. frances snoot

The solution is to accept the lie that was America and see the lies coming out of Europe in service to those criminals that made the America lie.

  71. @Snoot. and that’s the game. wipe out competition. it’s over my head why though. don’t get the drive to own everyone and everything. saphrifites?

Obsessed with FLUIDS – That why we can’t take them on a plane LOL

  79. frances snoot

Peruant to fluids, Youri, is the interesting topic of admiralty law. The US colonies were considered a ‘ship at sea’ under the British ensign: the law of the land was admiralty law for the colonists. They had no rights to stand as individuals in the court. The individual was considered a part of the ‘ship’. Now that corporate ruling: the ship represented by the corporate makes me wonder what law we are really under in the US (jurisdiction-wise). The Federal Courts received jurisdiction for the admiralty law in the US after the ratification of the US constitution through the Judiciary Act of 1789. Interesting that Hamilton was an Admiralty lawyer.

What ensign is the US under today?

  82. Soros is just a separate part of the same team. Soros is there on the other side of a syndicate. The syndicate is out for one world government, one currency, one world bank.

It’s like pro wrestling. After the phoney match, they all walk out together and have dinner. This time the dinner they have is on the world population’s tab. The tab will be by way of stealing all of the wealth and property from people and by de-population plans through diseases, wars and starvation.

  85. basically what your all saying is. Is the laws that were set up in the usa and other places have put us all into servitude. Thats a good start. So how do we get out of this mess of being controlled and ruled by some self serving basturds.

  86. California Doctor

@jon – How do we get out of this?

My philosophical answer is to make them judge themselves by our standard rather than allowing them to change our self-perception by their standard.

For instance, a bunch of people from one tribe (say Tribe A) are sitting on a standards board. They dictate to people of four other tribes (Tribes B through E) that they all need to follow the standards of Tribe A. Therefore, all value will be judged in paper notes, not cattle, land size, gold, or number of kids. This lowers the value of the other tribes people, but raises the value of Tribe A.

Since we are not from Tribe A, we need to decide…are we going to allow Tribe A to determine our tribe’s value based on their opinion?

I think most people would say, no.

  87. @jon
Usually and eventually by liquidating them. Read your history books.
