Stacy Summary: via Mish. The Japanese can’t get the US military out of their country after 60 years and the US is lecturing China about what they can and can’t do with their military?
FDIC initially sends their personnel to the bank. They review the bank operations and data for several weeks to months depending upon their investigation. When they elect to shut down the bank, the FDIC usually ends up selling assets to a new banking firm.
The tax payers are left with the debt and risk. The new bank takes out the deposits and true revenue.
Your point is well taken. Ownership and control over corporations can be subject to international manipulation based upon puppet or shell corporations themselves. In addition hedge funds in the Caymans, Singapore, or Switzerland can also act as a shell.
I’ve day traded several financial stocks over the past 15 years. The ownership of publicly traded financial stocks is known to the banks and the FDIC, provided that the office with the list keeps track of the trading on a real-time basis. They might not.
I do not believe that the Chinese are using their US dollars to purchase stock. I think it is far more likely that they are using USD to purchase gold.
Very true indeed. Good analysis. Chineese are very pragmatic.
About real estate. So true ! People seem incapable of figuring out this. Real estate most of the time is one big terrible investment. It’s one of the worts investment long term.
It’s means that to be really interesting real estate has another -50% to go down.

That’s right…think about it… if you buy the house, you pay the mortgage to the bank. By the end of the note, you may have paid double over the 20-30 year fixed rate mortgage. Unless inflation outstrips the mortgage, you’re left paying interest on the note, the original sales price, but more.

And never forget you have the taxes and they NEVER NEVER NEVER go down. You forgot the taxes. Taxes for a smal middle class house in Montréal were 300$ per house. Now in 2010 they are 4,000$. You pay a rent to the banker and you pay a rent to the government.

Okinawa is a side issue like terrorists trying to blow-up jets with exploding underwear. What about those Japanese guys trying to smuggle billions of dollars worth of bonds into Switzerland not too long ago. Think the Japanese need to unload some of their 750 billion in U.S. treasuries without crashing the dollar? That’s a real issue. All of the rest is just fodder for the sheep. We are, through our monetary easing, spending their money, the money they keep in U.S. treasuries. Do friends do that to each other? The Japanese need to sell a big slug of Treasuries and collapse the dollar while buying oil directly with a strengthening yen. Interest rates would soar and we wouldn’t be able to roll over our debt. Game over.
First there was the rape of Nanking and we cut off Japan’s oil and then there was the Abu Graib and the destruction of Iraq. Who’s going to cut off U.S. oil? China or Japan could do it by crashing the dollar and trading Yen and Renminbi for oil. Why do we spend a trillion dollars a year on our military – can you say petrodollar and intimidation.
caldoc, i”ve been wondering about this. All these banks that are going under now are then taken over by the fdic I believe or sold to another banking corp.. What if part of the deal with china so they don’t get too upset is to let china through a proxy get these banks. There definely is somthing odd about these 4 or 5 banks each week going under and then who winds up with them. From what I’ve heard they don’t shut down. They just have their ownership transferred.
Anyone know what the scoop on this situation is.
And yes. Japan is being used by the usa big time. I don’t think the japense are too happy.
@ naomi – Haiti -
It’s the IMF and World Bank.
FSnoot has it right.
When the European and US B-group(s) want to control the economy, they get that nation in debt via IMF and World Bank.
@ Marc – About China and Fed Reserve Notes
You think like a European. China will not wipe FRN’s on their ass because their too asian to do that. Plus there more pragmatic. They want to get their value from owning those notes. If they get forced into buying longer term notes (like the 5 or 10 year notes), then Ben Bernanke can screw their value by raising short-term interest rates.
Therefore, the Chinese, unlike the Japanese, forced their purchases down into the short term T-bills. The Japanese were left hung out to dry even though they are the forward deployment site of US military assets.
All of this squabbling is about where the US 7th Fleet gets to base ships. Right now, they sail the fleet out of Yokohama with USMC bases in Okinawa. This is what is holding the tide against the Chinese People’s Liberation Navy. But, with the dumb-ass USD policy driving down the value of the USD, it’s killing Japanese and Chinese exports to the US. That’s making BOTH nations mad and putting them into alliance with Russia.
The stupid thing is that had Bush 43 not gone for the helicopter drop in 2008, we could have pulled out a more mild economic event. Unfortunately, we’re being left holding the financial risk while the ENTIRE PLANET liquidates their risk.
So, my fellow Americans, how does it feel knowing that each of our families will be forced to pay two or three times to the same bastards?
That’s right…think about it… if you buy the house, you pay the mortgage to the bank. By the end of the note, you may have paid double over the 20-30 year fixed rate mortgage. Unless inflation outstrips the mortgage, you’re left paying interest on the note, the original sales price, but more.
You will be paying for the slow inflation rate quoted while your job does not pay you enough to keep pace with inflation. Then, you’ll also pay for the mortgage backed security tranches as the federal gov’t now owns that pile of trash paper.
So, you’re paying again through your taxes for the next 20 years, unless the Fed Reserve banks and the US Dept of Treasury figure out a way to have a controllable but substantial inflation issue in 2011-2013.
And now it’s time to piss off the number one creditor of the United States- China baby http://tinyurl.com/y9rk2bb!!!! Don’t forget Chinese school children laughed in the face of Geithner and the Chinese government is encouraging its citizens to buy gold, the number one slap in the face of US paper hegemony.
You have Japanese and Italian citizens protesting the US military squatting on their soil and CIA antagonism in Yemen resulting in one of its citizens (along with the co-operation of US officials) to get on board a Delta flight to attempt to blow it up in order to clear the pretense of full operations in Yemen. The US continues its operations in Iraq while expanding into Afghanistan, with predator drone strikes in Pakistan, and military units continue to further boldly encircle Iran – http://tinyurl.com/yduswva
The US top purchasers of military equipment are comprised of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Egypt, and Iraq, but now the US moves for weapon sales against the wishes of China. http://tinyurl.com/y9rk2bb. This is all news from the past 12 months. The escalation across the globe continues as the US provides tens of billions in “AIDS” for Isreal that inevitably get into the hands of Palestine and provides for a bloodier battle between the two. India sits on the sidelines grabbing gold coins that fall to the ground.
You can take your Elliot Wave counter bullshit and throw it out the window for a technical analysis of gold if China supports the fundamentals by giving the US the one-finger salute (dumping of their US holdings) because of these weapons sale to Taiwan. ALL of the US military adventures throughout the world would come to an abrupt and breathtakingly amazing seizure. Not only that but the “stimulus” measures, propping up of the housing market, stock market, fractional reserve banking structure, unemployment benefits, 401Ks, IRAs, pension funds, social security, and Medicare frauds would see the light of day in the fact that they are based on empty promises and debt funded Federal Reserve Notes. Once the Alt-A, Option Only, and CRE defaults begin the hundreds of trillions in derivatives will also be quickly exposed over the next 24 months. No amount of accounting fraud will cover up the market losses of these banks and the American People would surely rise up in the face of another extortion attempt, at least one would hope. What the hell is Obama going to do when China tells us to begin wiping our ass with FRNs?
Thank god Ben knows how to fly a helicopter. The printing presses were apparently just being warmed up.
As per Photo. above, your reading assignment is the Blowback series by Chalmers Johnson. He wrote about some of the issues (several years ago) we are now discussing. The Empire of Bases will be part of the US’s undoing.
@Naomi- I live in NorCal, I don’t have to leave the US, we were never really part of it. *snicker*
Did you watch the interview of Haskell? What a solid citizen he is. And they did everything to tear him up. What does that say about what they will do to anyone else when we don’t say….. “yes, the sky really is orange, instead of blue” …..no they didn’t really beat to death those people…..they just took them out for ice cream and cakes.
I wanna get out of the US as soon as I can get it done.
Welcome to the Prison State USA. United Slaves of America.
Welcome to Gaza strip USA. Slaves. Obama is just a plantation owner. Sorry Mep. It’s justified when I thinl about this piece of manure. And next step it’s a RDFI chip in your ass and a bar code on the neck with a taser collar.
The Pentagon is like the Pentagramme. A reverse pentagramme is the sign of Satan. Yeah absolutely. People at the Pentagon are satanic dudes. Ugly satanic freaks obsessed with naked body scanners and transforming the planet in a huge concentration camp. So you know the news. The nigerian clown with his shirbag exploding pants was put on the plane by a Homeland Security piece of nazi shit. Quelle surprse. Fuckin American Nazi from the Whitehouse.
The Pentagon has to realize the Japanese dont want the military bases there. it is interesting how the military-industrial complex always used the fear and security card when it doesnt get its way.
Japan is a democracy I looked unless they are controlled by the Elites like every other country. However, Japan has the right to tell the US naval base to back up their bags go back home. This is another form of colonialism diguised as military bases.
Japanese may have to start boycotting US products and dollars if they refuse to leace Okinawa.
I’ve listened to Debra Medina on Alex Jones. She’s really someone to watch and support. I watched the debate that she was finally able to participate in and she killed Purty Hair Perry and Hutchinson. Killed them.
A lot of people are watching Medina, and hoping that candidates that are not political hacks from the Democratic and Republican party, in other words 3rd party candidates, will be able to change the course of this country.
You are right, somebody is very afraid of Ron Paul. He has the ADL and JDL coming out against him and accusing him of being antisemitic…..the usual tactic to silence people.
I found it interesting that in this last radio show max talked about the difference between Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan’s influence to the political system and whitehouse. Goldman Sachs has the political connection rather than JP Morgan which is based on ethnic background. Ahhhhhhhh, nice way to say it and keep the operatives of the back….
Max, thanks for posting the interview in Iceland. Can you post the al jazeera interview?
Maybe I’ll move to Iceland if I can sell my house in the US! Lousy time to sell, but I know it is going to get worse. But for now, we are looking into France.
@white hunter – I would say; most likely re-negotiate/re-package the deal, if not they only fall back to the August bill that both president and parliament approved but the UK and the Nederland rejected. But Iceland are already negotiation a new deal parallel to the one put to referendum so, no matter what there will be a icesave bill and the Icelandic people will have to pay. a referendum no vote is only a vote for that particular bill not a vote for the entire situation of whether or not the people of Iceland should pay for the bankers..
I listened to parts of the debate in which the Republican candidates for Texas governor participated a couple of nights ago. There is a new dark horse named Debra Medina. One of the planks upon which is running is the abolition of the property tax and reliance on the sales (consumption) tax instead. We do not have a personal income tax in Texas.
This sounds like an excellent idea. For many of us, it keeps away the threat of loss of the means of production for food and other enterprises. Farm land is receiving attention from large investors. There may be an effort to “disencumber” such assets through a period of onerous taxation. In Texas, land used for agriculture or timber production is taxed at a much lower rate than other real property. A loss of that favorable treatment could cause a land bonanza for investors with the cash as current owners are forced to sell. This time we’re talking about the ultimate physical asset, not toxic paper.
I participated in a couple of local Republican conventions in 2008. There were political strong arm tactics employed against Ron Paul. He was denied a speaking slot at the state convention in Houston, although the party’s own rules dictated that he should be allowed to speak. His campaign went to state court where they were told that it was a federal issue. They went to federal court where they were told that it was an issue for state court. Someone is afraid of Ron Paul.
illinois brandon, Only one problem. THe usa isn’t the usa anymore as we were and are told. Its owned and controlled by banksters foriegn and from the u.s.. The usa is nothing but a mercenary force now used by the banksters.
@ Illinois Brandon – “anti-illegal immigration” will never work so long as we have corporate governance. Politicians talk a big game, but they all know why illegals are here: because businesses WANT THEM here, and politicians want what businesses want because it means more campaign $ for them.
Plank for a new US third party according to Gerald Celente
1. No foreign entanglements
2. Anti illegal immigration
3. Anti FED
4. Anti Globalization
5. Anti Banker bailout
6. Limited government
7. End the drug war
8. Protect second amendment rights
US must leave all foreign nations. Our founders warned us against Foreign entanglements. It is just killing and bankrupting our was great nation. They warned us against central bankers too. Washington, Jefferson, Jackson and Lincoln were very smart men.
More corporate welfare on the way. Obama’s such an ass for doing this. Americans have so few things left to feel any pride about, and he’s about to outsource it. Dick.
@Max
you were great on aljazeera. someone should take your parts about the u.s. govt. the corpocracy and most of all the statements about who writes the legislation and put it up on youtube, give it a good title with your name in it and hope it gets a lot of hits. (i don’t know how to do that or i would!)
India resides uneasily between nuclear Pakistan and a restless nuclear China, a position of some strategic insecurity. Bonn have another single malt mate, it’ll make the game seem theoritical
Protection from communisn at the time. Russia is no more a communist country. China is no more a communist country. Let’s settle today that we are corporate fascist country runned by criminal oligarchs, USA included.
If the people of Japan are asking the US to leave, the US should leave. For years the argument in the states is that the Japanese want us there to “protect” them. This idea is taught in ALL government funded schools, mouthed in the media, and used in order to secure the military empire of the US in the name of “freedom”. What a load of lies and some are starting to see through this web of lies.
Surprisingly enough, one will not see this story posted in the headlines of US papers next week as the super bowl is coming. We American men need to continue to be consumers of beer and sports (bread and circuses), while our women refuse to let the terrorists win by shopping and racking up debt. We spend here so you can work over there. All the while we can export toilet paper Federal Reserve notes to fund our bases. Even though this story will sit idle on American media writer’s desks, the word is spreading and many here in America support the withdrawal of our troops from the world.
I seem to recal the Italians were protesting to get the US out. At least the opposition is growing.
Let’s see some articles posted here about the BANCOR, which is being discussed at the new world reserve currency. Would love for you to cover this, and discuss the implications of it.
Japan could simply sell half the dollars they have, and buy silver, gold, palladium, platinum. Hey copper, coal, zinc, oil. You pick. There are many ways of declaring war to these arrogant and imperialist Yankees.
I expect a spectacular rapprochement with China and Japan. Historically and economically it’s making more and more a lot of sense even with the last tumultuous 20th century. USA is losing a lot of credibility and sympathy in Japan. And the economic crisis is just worsening. Guess who the Japaneese are blaming ? China ? or USA ? You know the answer.
Comparing the UK to Albania is real coo and so truel. It’s about the type of country Great Britain is in 2010 when you think about Gordon Brown and Tony Blair.
Pyramids always crumble for the same reason. Lack of imbeciles at the base of the pyramid. Let’s say that the system is lacking a sufficient number of cretins to maintain it. Next step ? Make war. Kill people. Naturally in Iran or in a vulnerable thrid world country with a lot of black gold. Make your pick. Either Iran, Venezuela, but most probably Yemen six months from now. You have to feed the pigs from BAE.

The US seems to be eager for war. They mst have grown more confident because recent news indicated that the chinese could pop up next to us aircraft carries without being noticed.
If it is about oil the US only has to cut off a few lines to throw China into chaos. Its not smart to also pick a fight with Russia, although it revives the credible nuclear threat.
If the US government is actually infested with foreign interest serving elements then those elements may be looking for a plausible casus belli against the US.
Vulnerability is what bankers want to enable control, but they forget it also enables whoever manages to take over..
@ronron:
The global anger against Bush and Blair was directed at their operation in Iraq without a UN security mandate. I am well aware that the UN does not administer justice but operates criminally and for elite interests. I posted the Merket article so that in future I won’t hopefully see accusations against the US that the operation against Iran was unilateral and outside UN jurisdiction, as is the case with most postings on this site concerning the US.
US is criminal, yes. But not the lone aggressor.
Mish posted the following:
“US is the most visible leader”…
Yes, today. Last week it was Germany. But the operation is in favor of France.
It would be a little hard to ignore the US military presence in Okinawa. To the pentagon it is merely a good place to put a golf course. “Blowback” by Chalmers Johnson is all about this.
There is a serious rift developing between Japan and the United States.
This may be a ramification of the 750 Billion Dollars in US Treasuries owned by Japan. Japan and China have the biggest ownership over US Treasury notes by far. Japan itself has endorsed the United States by entrusting the US with its money to a greater extent than any other nation. Indeed, the Japanese and Chinese own more US debt than all the other nations combined.
Now, in return for the possible default on those notes, the US federal gov’t hitting Toyota and Honda with recall demands, the US gov’t hitting Japan with a weak dollar policy, and then having the disgrace of having Secretary Clinton demand that they have continuing access ot Okiwanan military bases; is there really any question why the Japanese are pissed off at us?
Here’s a plan of attack:
1. Strong dollar policy
2. Strong dollar policy
3. Strong dollar policy
But its too late! They’ve already printed trillions in US Dollar bits and bytes. We’re screwed and the US 7th Fleet interests go with it.
there are those who would complicate the fact that there is not a fucking red cent in any pension. in for the long haul. good fucking luck. can’t get out. too fucking bad. tell me some more complicated stories please. can’t eat gold. i’ll take my fucking chances. know the law. what fucking law.
Merkel has signaled German willingness to work outside the UN Security Council in securing the resolution for Iranian sanctions:
“”We have made it clear that if the reaction of Iran does not change, we will cooperate in the preparation of wide-ranging sanctions … preferably within the framework of a UN Security Council resolution,” Merkel said.”
“The United States is the most visible leader in the new push for U.N. Security Council sanctions, and Clinton spent much of her time in Europe this week lobbying major powers whose support she needs to pass and enforce new economic penalties.”
The Germans began the public nuance concerning France’s demands:
looking at the picture of Japanese people protesting – these are adults, grown up people, old people, people that have attended the school of life for quite some time now – and it gives me a sense of real seriousness behind the protest. Quite the opposite to that of the feel good protesters we have in the west.
Davos 2010: a “cunning” plan how we will all pay for “the largest heist in history”
…It is typically characterised by strong, compelling, logic. I loosely use the term ‘pyramid selling’ to describe the activities of the City but you explain in crystal clear terms why this is so.” commented Dr Vincent Cable MP to the author….
…
…
… One way or another, the outcome of this crisis is not going to be any different than when pyramids collapsed in Albania in 1997 impoverishing the entire nation. The difference is that at least some of the perpetrators there languish in jail and some of the wealth gained was confiscated.

@Naomi- I live in NorCal, I don’t have to leave the US, we were never really part of it. *snicker*
@marc authier:

@whitehunter,
Good question, I was thinking that myself as I was listening to Max’s interview.
I fear that somehow, these financial terrorits will find a way to move in and occupy the country and enslave them just like Haiti.
@Sherri Young
China threatens sanctions on US companies over US-Taiwan arms deal.
@Brandon
do you have a link to that gerald celente info?
Someone is afraid of Ron Paul.
so, what happens after the icelanders vote no. do the brits occupy iceland?
Let us hope the TOB will appear & Iceland can rejoice in watching the Uk “Crash & Burn”.

illinois brandon, Only one problem. THe usa isn’t the usa anymore as we were and are told. Its owned and controlled by banksters foriegn and from the u.s.. The usa is nothing but a mercenary force now used by the banksters.
@maxkeiser … my interview today on icelandic TV
Great work Max … I agree with you all the way … and I guess every single one of the 300,000 Icelandic population watched it .
Excellent interview. Let’s hope the Icelanders listen up.
@ Illinois Brandon – “anti-illegal immigration” will never work so long as we have corporate governance. Politicians talk a big game, but they all know why illegals are here: because businesses WANT THEM here, and politicians want what businesses want because it means more campaign $ for them.
Plank for a new US third party according to Gerald Celente
1. No foreign entanglements
2. Anti illegal immigration
3. Anti FED
4. Anti Globalization
5. Anti Banker bailout
6. Limited government
7. End the drug war
8. Protect second amendment rights
@MaxKeiser. thanks for delivering that personally. haha
US must leave all foreign nations. Our founders warned us against Foreign entanglements. It is just killing and bankrupting our was great nation. They warned us against central bankers too. Washington, Jefferson, Jackson and Lincoln were very smart men.
@ Max
I loved the trumpet intro Max, please repeat on all your shows lol
@Mep:
American pride?
We’ve been a defacto British colony.
More corporate welfare on the way. Obama’s such an ass for doing this. Americans have so few things left to feel any pride about, and he’s about to outsource it. Dick.

you were great on aljazeera. someone should take your parts about the u.s. govt. the corpocracy and most of all the statements about who writes the legislation and put it up on youtube, give it a good title with your name in it and hope it gets a lot of hits. (i don’t know how to do that or i would!)
Japan certainly does not need anyone to protect them. If desired Japan could be a nuclear power within a few months

I don’t think that it is US products that are pushing Japanese products out of export markets.
Aljazeera
Brilliant. Go Max!! Dodgy jumper though buddy…
Hey Max,
Let’s see some articles posted here about the BANCOR, which is being discussed at the new world reserve currency. Would love for you to cover this, and discuss the implications of it.
Thanks!
@Snoot. the US has been hijacked and my anger is pointed at the hijackers. to many to fucking count.

@ronron:
synergy
The US seems to be eager for war. They mst have grown more confident because recent news indicated that the chinese could pop up next to us aircraft carries without being noticed.
If it is about oil the US only has to cut off a few lines to throw China into chaos. Its not smart to also pick a fight with Russia, although it revives the credible nuclear threat.
If the US government is actually infested with foreign interest serving elements then those elements may be looking for a plausible casus belli against the US.
Vulnerability is what bankers want to enable control, but they forget it also enables whoever manages to take over..
@ronron:
@Bonn. hope for you sake india doesn’t get sucked in to this insanity. but were talking all the fucking marbles this time.

@Snoot. you know damn well that working in or out of the UN is the same fucking thing. war is gonna get bigger.
@Caldoc. and what prey tell is the US 7th fleets interest?
It would be a little hard to ignore the US military presence in Okinawa. To the pentagon it is merely a good place to put a golf course. “Blowback” by Chalmers Johnson is all about this.
@Palatrini -
There is a serious rift developing between Japan and the United States.

(no truth about comments today?)
America is try to upset China, ……..I hope China/Russia have a plan?
