  4. @MaxKeiser. yes got gold. don’t like this latest military move.

  5. Just some musings…

    - Iran hasn’t instigated an invasion of another country in circa 300 years.

    - If Iran is attacked, the price of oil will skyrocket, the dollar as a result will get a massive lift in the short term. But what’s that gonna happen to the global economy?

-A invasion of Iran would cause serious geopolitical compromises for China and Russia. These countries on in a military alliance – with nuclear capality.

    - France and Germany have oil interests in Iran – what would the EU’s response be?

    - I don’t think Iran will be attacked directly – the nuclear deterent of China and Russia seems to be an issue. I think the US is attempting to co-op Iran against Russia and China. Israel is a wild card.

what a mess…. very very complicated

France is interested in Iranian uranium:

“Earlier, Mrs Clinton met French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who told foreign ambassadors in Paris last week it was time to ”draw consequences from months of efforts in vain” to reach out to Iran diplomatically. ”Work on Iran is progressing with great intensity,” she said.

”France’s leadership is greatly appreciated. The international community is united on Iran.”

Three sets of UN sanctions have failed to halt Iran’s uranium enrichment.”

  12. Not a good idea with all these US treasuries bonds in the hands of Chineese. That’s what so beautiful with these treasuries. China hasn’t the need to fire one rocket or one nuclear bomb on the USA.

Last year commerce between Iran and China increased 40%. China has just to unload a couple of US treasuries on the market and the USA is screwed big time. They won’t probably do it. But hey who knows ? If China and Rusia intend giving to USA the control of the whole region, they are quite dumb. I expect that Iran wil probably be bomded by Israel with a nuclear. Yeah Israel is that crazy in 2010.

  13. As usual. It’s about the OIL. Iran will be the beginning ot the third world war. Anyways there is real good chance for it.

  14. If the US can destabilize the mid-east the oil supply to China becomes compromized and that might ultimately lead to China’s desintegration. This doesn’t spell good fortune for Holland, with a large turkish population that is clearly not on the US side, and a history of aiding the US (according to Blair motivated by US involvement in Bosnia).

This Tarpley type scenario makes a lot of sense for the US, because they can either use their still considerable force and secure a nice future of picking though the rubble of other countries, or join the menu in the roadkill restaurant.. Collateral damage doesn’t seem to interest the US in any way so the rest of the world better stop this or hold on to their seat.

Paulsons assertion is devious because it is bound to be used to suggest a adverserial alliance between Russia and China (allthought the BRIC have been clear in their position). To defuse the situation its urgent for China to demolish US dependency of financial firms, but that is hampered by the infiltration of US bank interest serving banks handling trades for China. So it is possible China remains paralized regarding the financial timebomb but has to act militarily to avoid someone cutting its oxygen.

My guess is that the result will be decivlilisation, this is the ultimat goal of man’s unconsious actions..

  15. By the way. Buy oil stocks. 300$ barrel almost certain if this conflict erupts and is settled with bombs. 300$ to 400$ even.

  16. OK, War but Americans like war and the Pentagon does war in a very sustainable, quote “environmentally responsible way” thinking bout the “Envoronment” ROFL

So, Killing and Destroying CO2 Haox friendly is OK? But choppers burn a lot off fuel is commonly known so hardly can be taken seriously anymore if you had any doubts that this was the work of the cunning propaganda machine of the ministry of love.

“But as the Pentagon looks to its new planning for future conflicts, the report also says it can be done in an environmentally responsible way by using more solar power, biofuels and overall energy independence as well as pointing out that the Department of Defense, “provides environmental stewardship” at hundreds of bases around the country.”

And a couple of millions to buy some oil ?

    GOT OIL Max ?

The best investments presently are Alberta oil and gas companies. No political risks. Dirt cheap and yummy yummy cash flow.

  18. There is nothing Iran can do to stop what is planned for them and furthermore the Iranians know that whatever thay do or say the Ameraican axis of warmongering is approaching. There will be massive public outcry like never seen before!

  19. Its not about oil – this is far deeper and the roots of this go back to the attempted domination of the gulf by london dating back for decades! There is a determination to destroy a ancient culture which threatens the elite in the west!

  20. Iran is not Irak. Obama is one little sionist imperialist indeed. These policies are dictated by the sionist crazies in Tel Aviv. Sorry. But the Israel lobby is quite crazy if it thinks China will accept USA monopoly in the region. Specially that China is now the biggest oil client of Iran, but get this, as of last week of Saudi Arabia !

  21. To add:

Review shows dramatic shift in Pentagon’s thinking
    http://edition.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/02/01/us.pentagon.review/index.html

“The Pentagon will no longer shape the U.S. military to fight two major conventional wars at once, but rather prepare for numerous conflicts and not all in the same style, according to a draft of a new strategic outlook the Pentagon is announcing on Monday”

  22. @Max
what can stop the u.s. from not honoring their debt with the chinese? do you think that they may be considering it?

  23. Question?

How long is Beijing gonna keep paying this sharade?

I mean no one can keep this “myth” alive in believing that you actually want to do something about your deficit and at the same time increase the war budget like Obama has done with or withtout Osama “The living dead zombie terrorist” which will be floating around forever since he was buried years ago.

  24. @frances snoot

What this obsession with France after all ? Iran is not the biggest uranium producer in the world. We got plenty of the stuff in Canada. No need for a war. Yes there is need because France too has a nice racket of war profiteering like the USA. Nato/USA bankster and war mongers need a war.

Time to liquidate the inventory. Disgusting when you think that all the hyprocrits say nothing about the 400 nuclear bombs Isreal has. It’s not an invention. It’s a fact. I wouldn’t blame Iran wanting to get the bomb when you see what criminals like Tony Blair and Bush did to Irak. Iran is about 5 to 6 times Irak. What a bunch a murderous fools.

We have to find a substitute to oil. It’s killing us.

  25. ==========
    US raises stakes in Gulf
    ==========

But not by very much, as this anti-missile system has plenty of operational and design flaws that have still not been ironed out after nearly 15 years of deployment.

If you read thru the propaganda, under good conditions its success rate is about 50%. Under less than ideal conditions, 25%. Maybe once a week (or fortnight) it might reach 80%, by random chance.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIM-104_Patriot

The U.S. Army claimed an initial success rate of 80% in Saudi Arabia and 50% in Israel. Those claims were eventually scaled back to 70% and 40%. However, when President George H. W. Bush traveled to Raytheon’s Patriot manufacturing plant in Andover, Massachusetts during the Gulf War, he declared, the “Patriot is 41 for 42: 42 Scuds engaged, 41 intercepted!”[16] The President’s claimed success rate was thus over 97% during the war.

  26. US seems desparate to start a war. Fits in nicely with the eugenics agenda of the elite.

It only dawned upon me this weekend ( amongst others) that reduction in population is so important to the elite for complete control…too much population is unwieldly…especially when many of us have started asking questions and challening the top guys.. and becoming more aware..

High awareness is not beneficial for these guys..

I am guessing..china might be in on this too…

  27. Of course from the start war has been the means by which the carrying capacity of the environment asserted itself. Agression developed because agressive individuals where better at providing for themselves where resources where scarce. Sadly the defended ego has been confused by things that don’t disappear or degrade like concepts and now the world is populated by superhuman entities that are as needy and agressive as individual human beings..Conceptual thought is ultimately selfdefeating..

  28. @MaxPower. the missles are not there to work but to provoke. fire em off make more. caching.

  29. the Third and final World War envisions an attack on Iraq, Iran and/or Syria as being the trigger to set the entire Middle East into fiery conflagration. Once America is firmly entrenched into the Middle East with the majority of her first-line units, North Korea is to attack South Korea. Then, with America’s forces stretched well beyond the limit, China is to invade Taiwan. This will usher in the start of World War Three.
    http://www.threeworldwars.com/world-war-3/ww3.htm
I’ve got all my “how to” books ready to sell!! : )

  30. Myabe even a better Question?

What is Beijing gonna do if the U.S. blocks Chinas supplies while the pay for this army themselves at their own demise?

Is the U.S. really gonna pull China into a war like they did with the Japanese, cutting of supplies by a blockade?

I also think like @Mother Earth that Tarpley nailed it again in describing what’s probably is going to happen if following their line of thought.

  31. There will be no WW3.
The minute the US does anything stupid, China will dump its

If there was any hope for any economical crises recovery at all one can be sure that higher oil prices will hamper that!

  34. @Grisu,…..The plan is to completely change the financial and social system beyond recognition, this of course needs some heavy impetus!

    @Marc:

France stands to profit greatly from the NPT treaty directives concerning Iranium uranium. The uranium processing is being ‘shared’ by Russia (nuclear five NPT) and France (nuclear five NPT). France is in charge of the fuel rods:

    “Fabrication: Precisely Tailoring Uranium Fuel
A fuel fabricator converts uranium hexafluoride, after enrichment, into uranium dioxide powder and presses it into fuel pellets. The fabricator loads the ceramic pellets into long tubes made of a noncorrosive material, usually a zirconium alloy. Once grouped together into a bundle, these tubes, or fuel rods, form a “fuel assembly.””

    http://www.nei.org/howitworks/factsheets/nuclearfuelproduction/

Iran does not want to ship all their uranium in-one-go. France and Russia want it now, all of it, and no arguments:

    http://original.antiwar.com/sahimi/2009/11/02/can-iran-trust-russia-and-france-with-its-uranium/

I am not ‘obsessed’ with France: ignoring France and insisting that the crisis is concerning oil is really naive and last century. The Nuclear five wish to monopolize energy resource through the NPT treaty bullies, IPCC, and the limit on fossil fuel use.

Why is the word thorium not mentioned? Thorium production would eliminate the bullies’ game plan: insisting that the only countries to be trusted enriching fuel would be France, Russia, China, US, and UK.

  38. If the US citizens stopped paying their taxes, these wars would be over.

  39. frances snoot

“‘Hopes of a diplomatic breakthrough over Iran’s nuclear programme were dwindling tonight after Tehran demanded changes to a uranium exchange deal that European diplomats described as “unacceptable”.

If the deal collapses, as seems likely, it would deliver another critical blow to Barack Obama’s policy of engagement, and put international sanctions and Israeli military action back on the table.”

    Nuclear + Iran

I watched a 2 hr. report last night in German TV, concerning Iran and nukes. It was done by a very well known and “good” reporter, as if he had gotten a mandate to warn everyone of coming political decisions that might have to happen , like “which side is Germany on” !

He explained that the main reason to “stop” Iran going nuclear was simply that if they succeed, many other smaller states will follow. He talked to El Baradey, Kissinger and a few other big names.

The US Aircraft Carrier “Washington” was mentioned, that is currently on patrol .. has enough nuclear fuel to last for 20 years !

He was given a (recent) demonstration of the Russian ICBM “state of the art” missile ramping systems, showing that the MAD equilibrium is far from over. i.e. nuclear holocaust is still not “not” an option. Also talked to the Russians about supplying Iran with all their nuclear technology and fuel.

Very interesting … and it is said it highly probable that Iran may already have nukes anyway.

    FWIW

  41. Iok Sotot, Eater of Souls

    @ Mother Earth

War isn’t such a great way to reduce the population. Doesn’t actually kill that many people.Take the exploding population in Africa for example where war deaths just can’t keep up with the birthrate dispite more wars per capita than any other continent. War also tends to disrupt the kinds of social structures that might keep conception down like eg: family planning clinics, free contraception, prospects of education etc. etc.
And there’s nothing like getting laid when you think you’re gonna die the next day.
Hmm, that last thought might explain a lot.

    http://www.energy-daily.com/reports/French_nuclear_group_Areva_beats_profit_forecasts_999.html

“Under its 2008-2012 strategic plan the company is aiming for annual sales of more than 20 billion euros, compared with 11.92 billion euros last year.

Areva is 85 percent owned by the state.”

    http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/12/uranium_enrichment_us_governme.html

“Second, enriched uranium at commercial reactor levels is an article of longstanding international commerce. Barring government restrictions, it can easily be transported to and fro between countries that have been steadfast allies of the US. Third, the French government already stands behind the equity capital (and maybe the borrowed capital too) as owner of Areva and intends to collect the profits from the facility. Finally, while uranium enrichment facilities are regulated at all levels of government, the degree of regulatory risk and technical scrutiny is much lower than for nuclear power plants.”

Its all the fault of those pesky europeans and their cabal of royals
and shysters. The US had nothing to do with it.Happy now?

  54. Maybe the US and France want to control the nuclear market, related being the choice for Nuclear by the US energy szar, the pressure on Iran to deliver its fission fuel in return for waste, and the push for nuclear in general. But sadly that’s all a ruse because nuclear fuel is running out, only 60% of current requirements being mined each year, the rest comming from domestic and military scource that are running out.

The anti terrorist motive is not entirely fantastical imho, because it was proven a while back its possible to ship a container with explosives directly into the port of LA and the know how to build a small nuclear device is out there. It won’t be fun for Sarkozy to get a letter with a credible threat to evaporate Paris.

Still it would be more clear if we stopped saying terrorists and replaced that by f.i. xyz funded agents. Al Quida may be Saudi funded agents..CIA are US funded agents..

  61. The Dork Of Cork

This idea that uranium is running out is flawed as the amount of money spent on extracting uranium is only a small fraction of the nuclear spend
Even if its price doubles it will not even come close to doubling the cost of nuclear electricity.
Unlike the oil or gas industry the nuclear industry’s cost is front ended on capital infrastructure and fuel costs are low and more stable then fossil fuels.
It also has less political risk as western countries would only have to invest in stable mining areas such as Canada
In the extreme long run uranium will be harder to extract but there is always fast breeder reactors who can utilise a large amount of plutonium

  62. According to Andrew M Lobaczewski of “Political Ponerology” fame, approx’ 6% of the population are innately psychopathic.

    @motherearth
    I don’t doubt that information
You have to realise that the worlds economic problems are a sum of short term economic decisions where today’s wealth have been used for today’s consumption rather then in future capital investments
When or if the implicit guarantee for bank capital ends , real capital investments will again become more competitive
Most of the wests capital goes into banks who provide capital towards consumers who quite naturally consume rather in invest
The real market have been giving these signals since the eighties yet central banks have continued to channel capital towards consumption
Until there is massive fiscal spending on projects that increase systems energy output the western economies will continue to run down their systems while incorrectly spending their precious capital on futile monetary experiments which are a road to the dark ages

  72. let’s see…iran is defying sanctions and nearing its goal of obtaining nuclear weapons. Here in Thailand a plane full of weapons parts was intercepted on its way from N. Korea to…Iran. The country is ruled by religious facists who have publicly stated they want to exterminate the jewish people. And then the US sends some patriot missles (defensive, not offensive) and yet its the US that is escalating? Nice logic Stacy. Same with Ethiopia. they raise an army to try to defend against the islamists and suddenly, they have the biggest army, they are brutes, etc., etc., no mention of the brutes overrunning their eastern border killing non muslims as they go. What is the deal with liberals and islam? Here is a religion that creates apartheid against non muslims, considers women to be chattel with half the right of men at law, that has a death penalty for those who change their religion, that kills gays, and their biggest supporters in the west are…liberals. Really amazing to me. And then your remark about the biggest jew killers being German Christians. I always thought, since the level of energy consumption in the west can not be supported by teh entire planet, and when Africa begins stepping towards consumption, beginning to utilize their “allotment” of resources … folks in Africa had to start dying or the west needed to stop thinking about more.
so folks in Africa started dying by the millions.

    What then?
How do you have a peaceful revolt and revolution?
Or is your anarchistic rhetoric without conscience for the 30-40 million people who died between 1939-1945 in the last global conflagration?

This conflagration could be more significant as “developing” countries exercise nuclear might. This includes Pakistan, India, Israel, and China. This list excludes the Koreas, Japan, and assumes that European nuclear nations are out of the picture as well.

Is there an opposition in Saudi Arabia ? I know that Iran is not a paradise. Iran has a strong opposition COMPARED to all these arab countries either runned by kings or dictators. Having the choice to live in Libya or Iran, I would choose Iran without hesitation. Yes. Serious. The opposition in Iran has newspapers. Try that in Irak, in Koweit, in Libya, in UEA, in Saudi Arabia, in Yemen. Even tolerant Dubai is runnede by a king. It’s not an excuse to declaring war to Iran. Why not declaring war to Saudi Ariabia, Or China ?

The potential for change in Iran is far better than in the arab world. They are not in power. So. They still manage to have newpapers and get elected even with rigged elections!. The infrastructure like in Poland, for a change is there.
It’s not the case in the arab world. Iran is not a desparate situation as Saudi Arabia and all these USA puppet regimes. I can just imagine what will happen when oil in Saudi Arabia runs out. Iran is more sophisticated politically than Saudi Arabia.

  139. Iran shares a border with both Iraq and Afghanistan and is a major supplier of weapons to the both the Iraq insurgents and the Taliban. If that source of weaponry was no longer available it would make the job of the western military a great deal easier.

The West cannot afford a long drawn out war of attrition in either Afghanistan or Iraq – the sovereing deficits are just too great, An attack on Iran, neutering the insurgents in the existing two theatres of conflict, has a sort of insane logic to it.

Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

  140. johnseattle, my own theory is the banksters won’t crash the market till everything is in place to control all the idiot masses. Alot of the idiot masses are waking up to the corruption of the banksters. If the markets were to collapse now the idiot masses would know who to point the finger at. If some other altercation were to happen to cause the markets to collapse that would be most prudent for the banksters and get them off the hook.

  141. Bonn I have not read but have thought about reading Arundhati Roy’s, The God of Small Things, have you read it and would you recommend it ?

  142. Peter, you have to think like the banksters think. The world is their oyster so to speak. Us peasants are just cannon fodder and something they can steal from for eternity. The banksters are world wide. They have no allginance to any country. So a war here or there is nothing to them but profit making. And then rebuilding and profit making.

@Iok Sotot, Eater of Souls : “War isn’t such a great way to reduce the population. ”

Depends if Nukes used or not. Biggest war crime committed by the U.S. Army in my opinion is the use of depleted Uranium in all kinds of ammunition also in artillery and Tank brizant granites which leave loads of poisonous depleted Uranium on any battlefield like in Iraq lately. This is not only very unhealthy for the military themselves firing this ammunition but also poison the environment for many years to come with radiation contamination causing cancer for the U.S. Military and the people who have to live again on the land. This truly is a crime against humanity and should be taken before the U.N. and the international court.

    @Bonn

Knowing a thing or two about ICBMs cause I am a son of a b*** and studied the subject for many years it’s also known within the military think tanks that these Patriots were not as successful as was claimed by the Israeli and American propaganda also to keep morale high in not admitting the real damage in the MSM.

The difficulty isn’t when one missile has to be intercepted but in a real Nuke war multiple missiles will be fired which is a completely other ball game. The Reagan “Star Wars” project was merely “cold war” propaganda cause unsuccessful. The research during this project showed that it’s impossible to defend at showering multiple fragmenting warheads especially not if the defense cost of every defending missile is more than $9 million a piece.

It is named after Thor’s hammer: which is interesting. Thors hammer is pictured in the happy-happy joy-joy mural at the Denver museum:

The little boy is German. He is hammering ‘peace’ through Thor’s hammer: representing an end to war. And the use of uranium?

  176. looking at the continuous gold chart 1073 was a place to expect support technically having been resistance in October support in late December followed by a decent rally … this retest to my eyes is a classic wyckoff spring after a JOC.
will this rally attempt lead to follow through and a retest of the highs ?
if a bull market odds say yes if a technical reversal in DX then we retest lower before making new highs it seems to me …
I know bonn … cheap free you get what you pay for.

  177. @bonn
better question imho of course … is when did you/they lean of this …

  178. This sabre rattling gives golden sparks..

  179. @Snoot. thought those murals were at the denver airport?

  180. frances snoot

    ooops ronron

  181. Bonn , gold is real money, not an I.O.U. and it has been for 5000 years. I was a gold miner years ago and when the price fell down to US $280. I stopped mining and started buying because I knew it was below the production cost of most mines. I also knew it would not stay down due to supply and demand. When gold was down in the US $250s with talk of it going to US $100 , I continued loading up on unhedged mining companies. Back then there was the dot com bubble going full steam and it was obvious it was not going to last. Just like today’s market manipulations it will not last. In my opinion gold and silver and the mining shares , in your possession are the safest form of saving in today’s world. The price pull backs can be brutal , but they make a great time to buy more. I have sat on my hands and not sold and watched US $500,000.00 go away only to come back and then some. It is gut wrenching to say the least. You need to have conviction and know what money really is. I.O.U.’s are not money . I have a 50,000,000 German marks note that was my great grandfathers , it’s not worth anything. Thats what can happen when you hold I.O.U.s . That’s the lesson it taught me. Everyone should own some gold and silver.

    All the best

Geophysicists believe may be one of the world’s richest zones for hydrocarbons-oil and gas outside the Middle East, possibly orders of magnitude greater than that of nearby Venezuela. …

  184. the reason i ask Snoot is you mentioned the continuance of government.

  185. @ronron

  187. frances snoot

    @ronron:
It’s all speculation, except for the COG protocal. Fascinating idea about underground access at Denver. Who knows? Odd really! They supposedly dug up a lot of earth at that airport for underground structures.

    What do you think?

  188. @Snoot. numbers don’t lie, well sometimes. i believe nothing i hear and half of what i see. then i do some homework. asked you for some strange reason. :-) did the homework on you. hahaha

  194. @MEPsowing the seeds to preemptive war.
to be sold to the people … future conflict is inevitable, though maybe not imminent. we can not stop an attack once underway.
hence, for our national security we are required to hit the enemy first.

  195. frances snoot

Ya mean Ma? Ain’t her fault seein’ Pa’z home such-like. He ain’t a’gonna work: sayz his in-vest-ment strategee is not- a’workin’ and a’sittin’ and a’spittin most days waitin fur Granny’s teeth to a-ppreciate. 196. @Y’All
I just love watching the americans and their idiot neighbours always trying to turn this site into a virtual home sweet home… of blandness, racial intolerance… gun worship… while continually trying to build a little disney world for us all to escape reality and play in with special animal masks and name tags for the well behaved children!!!

  197. boots chains and rotten teeth.

  198. Wonder why Buffett bought railcars? It is for the upcoming militarization of the nation. Common sense. America loves war.

  199. Stalin received trillions from the new york banksters. This funding allowed him and the Red Army to build the largest army and military factories in the world. Stalin threatened to conquer the world with his communism/totalitariansim. Indeed with new Yorks assistance he conquered most of europe. Only a few countries stood up to Stalin and his new york financiers. But at least he was stopped.

It’s to connect the ‘inland ports’ for their nafta ideal.

  201. American run by nazis? The president and his parentsand his grandparents were communists. The USSR and the obama adminsitration have no christians in their adminsitrations.

  202. America was created with a war. It is a way of life in the ol US of A.
I expect a fairly big blow up is on the horizon.

The smaller created conflicts are just not getting the desired results.

What is this story at CNN about February 11 about?

    http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/meast/01/31/iran.protests/index.html?section=cnn_latest

    QUOTE:
Meanwhile, state-run Press TV quoted Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Sunday as saying that the nation will deliver a harsh blow to “global arrogance” on February 11.

  204. Iran is neither Iraq or Afghanistan. I will remind the readers that it has been a sovereign country (and occasionally, empire) for over 2,500 years. Iraq was a post WWI construction, and Afghanistan has never had a real cohesive government. I would not underestimate a reaction from them if they were to be attacked or backed into a corner. They have been playing politics for a very long time, Islamic Republic or not.

I have actually lived in Iran, and will agree with Marc (a rare thing), that given the choice between having to live many of the countries in the area, or in Iran, I would chose Iran. It has a thriving culture, good food, and is not nearly as repressive as such places as Saudi Arabia. I would not call it a place of great freedom, but then, is the US really all that free any more (with the world’s largest prison population)?

  205. Ahmadinejad is full of hot air. The mullahs have said they do not condone the use of nuclear weapons, and on that, I believe them. After all, by their reasoning, it would destroy part of God’s creation.

  206. Denver International Airport is a building surrounded by mystery and intrigue.
