Paul Moreira was right to reject Keiser’s embarrassing attempts to dollop extra layers of unproven conspiracy into the interview.
Whilst I agree with much of what Keiser and Herbert say, radical punditry clearly lives on a knife edge between fact and fiction – just look at the confused mess of good stuff and utter crap that Alex Jones puts out. Don’t debase the coinage.
Keiser needs to work on keeping Keiser-the-pundit and Keiser-the-interviewer separate – Keiser-the-pundit might learn more long-term and be less repetitive.
@typos:
Those who abhore education, diss Americans, and rely upon self-assurance as a form of rhetorical bravado attempt to keep discourse from happening through irrelevant, subjective, and nasty inserts.
Might have helped if those that do so had learned enough discipline to graduate from junior high school.
@Y’ALL
re typos; and I left university with so many degrees I don’t know what to do… although retired I’m a very well known and loved american… blah, blah!!!!!!!
Personally, I never post drunk. I’m not depressed or repressed. I take full cognitive responsibility for my posts. And I don’t think Americans should be constantly singled out: it’s silly.
I wish we could edit our posts. I don’t seem to post until I have a few stiff drinks, watch some Jones, Schiff, and Keiser, and then I start typing. I get excited and submit, only to somehow see all the type-o’s come alive.
I propose that we have an edit option for drunk, depressed, repressed, scared Americans trying to drink themselves to sleep while posting.
Max had a show a year or so back where he went into this subject to a pretty large extent.
I think he said it was pretty running joke that cash would come in on a regular basis, literally in cars, and that it was all drug money, and no one really seemed to care.
The Book Crossing the Rubicon has some great info on the Wall Street side of narco-trafficking.
To what extent can the Fed and it’s minions dictate the price of gold by inselling?
I know you’ve covered the concept before, but with the Dow on the fritz again, and gold going down in another perhaps fake-out dollar rally, to what extent do you think the fed can insell the bajezus out of gold to keep the holy roman dollar empire from receding?
In 2000 and 2001 after Taliban leader Omar banned opium production, Afghanistan recorded its lowest opium productions according to the UN.
Once US and CIA over threw the Taliban and installed CIA client war lords, opium production has increased every year in Afghan-i-nam since 2002. Record opium crops in 2008 in CIA, US military controlled regions.
There is NO DOUBT the CIA is behind the massive heroine flows out of Afghan-i-nam and laundering the money as usual through Wall Street Banks.
Ask Catherine Austin Fitts
She estimates between cocaine in South America and heroine out of the golden triangle, the CIA helps launder between $500 billion and $1 trillion annually through Wall Street banks.
True or False Max
Publicly traded companies registered with the SEC do NOT have to report large cash transactions to the IRS. They are exempt from reporting when they receive huge amounts of cash. Ask Ms. Fitts…
Moreira’s assertion that there is no evidence of CIA heroine trafficking is either ignorant or a bald faced lie.
The CIA has been involved in heroin trafficking since its inception spying on the Chinese Nationalist and then the Chinese communists from bases in Laos and Burma since 1948. These facts are meticulously documented, sourced and sited by Professor Alfred W. McCoy, University of Wisconsin.
Alexander Cockburn… an Irish refugee in the States (The Nation contributor “Beat the Devil,” Wall St. Journal contributor… no shit in the 80s…) wrote a well documented book with Jeffery St. Clair:
I’d be more than happy to loan you my copies for some research…
Since the French security agency was deeply involved in Indo China opium trafficking… hence all the all the heroin labs in Marseilles… no doubt your little French documentary maker would be inclined to deny official state involvement in heroin trafficking.
Max why do you have a guest on when he has already made up his mind about the problem. Mr. Moreira came across as a heroic, well informed, interesting guest who had view that the war bureaucracy was mishandling the massive funds coupled with a corrupt local bureaucracy…. The image of children going to class in frezzing weather really stuck with me…Max’s grandstanding and trying to make himself, and his thesis the show. Max you are a very cool guy but you over controled this interview.
I cant agree that the US needs the Taliban. If they weren’t so problematic, the pipeline project from the Caspian to Karachi would be well under way, free from attack and the Yanks (along with their Anglo-Saxon sidekicks) could focus on the ultimate goal: Iran. The Taliban, like Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, sent the empire a big ‘fuck you’ and the empire of course wasn’t going to stand for that. I also think that a lot of the armed resistance to NATO is ordinary villagers and tribesmen who are fed up getting their villages bombed, then having armed foreign thugs bursting into their homes, disrespecting their customs, kidnapping and interrogating the menfolk, etc. So the goal of your average villager coincides with the Taliban’s main goal of driving out the occupiers, even if the average villager doesnt agree with the severity of certain Talib policies. NATO doesnt seem to undrstand that creating a centralised puppet regime & national army is destined to fail because Afghans are extremely proud of their tribal heritage and the history of repelling invaders.

During the Bush administration, there was a saying in China: ” We are fighting against 2Gs ( george Bush and george soros)
In russia: We are fighting against 3Gs (Gorege Bush, George Soros, and Gas).
Before International NGOs intervention in China, domestic NGOs’s activivities were growing. But due to the international NGOs’s intervention, Chinese govement has been treatiing NGOs harsely. Stop intevention in foreign countries. Let them solve their problems on their own. Respect self-determination. Then they will achive fairer society much faster.
Even Germany is bankrupt Snoot. Got Gold ? and Silver ?
Like the little number in the article about Ireland. How can a smallish country like Ireland owe 1 trillion of foreign debt ? Surreal. Ireland indeed in a debt and death spiral. Even worse than Iceland.
Same with commercial Real Estate which still holds the old values on their balance sheets.
Yeh, Youri. And the Germans are writing a new fairy tale with their sleeping beauty ‘security princess’: she’ll be quite pert when she gets kissed awake in twenty-so years.
“Taiwan is a sore point between the US and China.
The waters around Taiwan are a major shipping route for US oil and other shipping.”—–> That’s an important point.
In addition to that, China’s shipping route for oil from Afirca and Middle east are long and dangerous. They have to ship the oil to China from Red Sea to Northern Indian Ocean to Strait between Malaysia and Indonesia to South China Sea to the waters around Taiwan.
To reduce the danger of shipping oil to their country, China has been builing pipeline through Myanmar. Look at the world map. Then you immmedately understand why they are building pipeline in Myanmar to China.
To sabotage this pipeline construction, Bush administration caused Saffron revolution in Myanmar in 2007, which was one of colour reloution. That revloution supported by USA is called Saffron revolution. Some of you guys may still remember the antigovenment protest by monks. it was nothing to do with democracy and freedom as usual. It’s all about energy war.

@frances snoot
Don’t think anybodies getting a free ride not even the Germans.
@Marc:
You seem to hate imperialism, but your jibes concerning people made me remember Hannah Arendt:
“The fact that racism is the main ideological weapon of imperialistic politics is so obvious that it seems as though many students prefer to avoid the beaten track of truism. Instead, an old misconception of racism as a kin of exaggerated nationalism is still given currency…
For the truth is that race-thinking entered the scene of active politics the moment the European peoples had prepared, and to a certain extent realized, the new body politic of the nation.”
pg 214–The Origins of Totalitarianism
Will the new European body politic, the EU, be tainted with racism as a form of imperialistic rhetoric? The events of the past year seem to assert that this it to be so: it is a sword against Europe, not the “piigs”:
“Race-thinking, rather than class-thinking, was the ever-present shadow accompanying the development of the comity of European nations, until it finally grew to be the powerful weapon for the destruction of those nations. Historically speaking, racists have a worse record of patriotism than the representatives of all other international ideologies together, and they were the only ones who consistently denied the great principal upon which national organizations of peoples are built, the principle of equality and solidarity of all peoples guaranteed by the idea of mankind.”
“Your’e right. Let’s forget about it and it will go away. Snoot your’e a party pooper.
How about a job at my firm: Youri : Godman Sack.” Lloyd Blankfien
Don’t worry. Be happy. Beeeehhh! Meeeuuhhhh!
See everything is just fine and the markets are rockin !
Nothing is really serious when it come to finance. I would prefer a bad bank with an indefinite period. 20 years is not enough. How about perpetuity or 150 years like Bernie Madoff ?
Hey don’t take this stuff seriously Snoot. It’s a freakin joke anyways.
@Marc – H1N1 is no false flag attack. I personally cared for many patients who became critically ill in a just a few days. The H1N1 epidemic was real and no false flag. You can not extrapolate your experience to the entire epidemic because you probably had some lingering immunity from prior exposures to H1N1. Just because you had that immunity does not limit contagion and does not reflect the entire epidemic.
@NorCalKid- What is also disturbing is that as a California physician, the state is so incompetent that it does not confirm or issue drug license to its physicians. Most other states have drug enforcement agencies and offices. But, California does not. This is insulting when pot houses are growing and selling these drugs as “medicinal”. The entire state of California is a screwed up joke.
Check out these guys railing on the State. The Unemployment numbers are so bad that the EDD agency is overwhelmed and not accepting applications. So, people are unemployed, submitting applications, and the state is ignoring them in their time of need.
California’s agency to handle these issues is called EDD. EDD blew $100,000,000 on screwed up information processing and database design.
For those foreign investors considering buying California muni bonds, better think again. What’s the rating on California debt?
In fact everybody went bankrupt but they just kept the “Fata Morgana” values on their balance sheets and act if everything is Oki Doki. A month later GS made record profits, yeah sure…
Same with commercial Real Estate which still holds the old values on their balance sheets. In reality that value should be at least 25% lower. That’s the figure which was mentioned here in the Netherlands and this could be even worse elsewhere.
@Youri
Gipsies have usually a very credit rating, never pay their debts, and if you try to collect them, dissapear with their pigs and all their assets in the middle of the night. Couldn’t resist. Difficult to make credit to gipsis. NINJA loans. No Income No jobs. No Assets. Hummm ? It’s exactly the case for Greece to think of it.
FREAKEN hypocrits! Calling wallstreet the criminals and then ignoring greece being tag-teamed and calling them piigs whilst supporting the crimes of france and germany?! And now we have French Fitch running amuck. Obama bowing to lick boots. For Christ sake! And China???
Yep, Germany is copy catting the cunning ways of Geithner and did exactly the same putting the debt under the carpet. the so called Off Balance Sheet Toxics on Unnumbered Accounts. The dark deep pools of illiquid waste.
I am not sure if they’re on to this “Indirect Bidder” scam scheme but the Germans are smart fellows so if they find out about that they gonna do exactly the same.
@Snoot
Usually Europe sends its toxic waste to Africa. Like the USA. There and in the arab world. It’s true. There is a real problem. Less and less third world toxic dump colonies to send the garbadge. Maybe the Germans could ask Haiti for a service ? Yeah it’s black and very sombre humour. We could maybe simply declare that from now on all waste in reality is a truck load of freshly cut red roses.
“Berlin’s “bad bank” proposal, expected to become law in July, would allow banks to move toxic assets at 90 per cent of their book value to off-balance sheet holding companies which, in turn, would swap them for state guaranteed bonds.
It’s a trade-off: not as much as banks were hoping for, but about as far politicians facing re-election in September are prepared to push taxpayers.
The banks aren’t freed of their burden for good – they will see the toxic waste again in 20 years and pay fees for state storage in the meantime. But it does tidy up their accounts for now and should free up money for actual banking.
But Berlin’s “bad bank” plan has several weaknesses. It is difficult at the present to determine the value of assets with a life of 20 to 99 years.”
I would hardly call this fair play, Youri. You know, you’re wrong about the squid tentacles. It seems they have “hasburg” written all over their little suction cups.
Guess if we all laugh at the piigs we won’t cry over the unfair advantage the germans get in that corrupt filthy fraud called the EU, eh?
Yeah the Bad bank plan ahahaaaha! Remember who came first whit it? Geithner but after they discovered that this “slush Fund” could expose their trillion in hidden debt Geithner immediately left the plan and never talked about it again, so did Germany.
Feb. 4 2009 (Bloomberg):
Schumer, a New York Democrat who is on the Senate Banking Committee, said there are two problems with the bad bank, also known as an aggregator bank, solution. It would probably be “very expensive,” costing as much as $4 trillion. “Second, it’s very hard to value those assets,” and the prices could be set “so low that every other bank would go bankrupt.” http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=adjCyH0MJKQk&refer=home
@Snoot
I find the Germans quite smug. They think that they can adopt a “laisser faire” approach because it’s the “inferior races” from Club Med that are in the dumps ? There is effectively a problem with that stupid and somewhat racist ? (a lot of that) attitude. A lot of germans lenders stuck in grease and in Greece. A lot also in all the PIIGS countries that are teutonic “wise guys” lenders. Who will look the most stupid when all the PIIGS go bankrupt ?
This is an interesting blog, for anyone who yearns for another perspective!
“In politics, the pawns are the people, the chessboard is the world stage. Strategic countries are invaded because of the “threat” they pose. This threat is 0f course created by the psychopaths in charge using the vast resources of intelligence services. “Terrorist threats” are fabricated. Atrocities are committed and then pinned on imaginary “terrorist groups”. Orwell had it right. Emmanuel Goldstein was a creation of the Party. The bombings blamed on him and his followers were committed by the Party itself for the purpose of keeping the population afraid and compliant.” http://ponerology.blogspot.com/
“One thing Europe doesn’t has, at least not in the same degree are these vampire squids like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan and the other brothers in crime although we’ve got our own criminals but not so cunning as those bunch.”
Right. You all only have the ECB and the BIS to contend with! I mean: they aren’t criminals, right? And the World Bank? All friendly, helpful bankers there!
I would say the most cunning are the last standing.
I frankly expect that Italy is gonna be the biggest pain in the ass in the end, as always they are the best in the cunning con game. Ponzi was an Italian for heaven sakes!

I was just thinking about Tyler Durden , the name and all.
Europe boarded the same “Ship of Fools” like the U.S. did and bought 60% of US toxics so are even more retarded in that way and the Euro isn’t even a reserve currency.
One thing Europe doesn’t has, at least not in the same degree are these vampire squids like Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan and the other brothers in crime although we’ve got our own criminals but not so cunning as those bunch.
The over all social security in western Europe is superior to that of the U.S. and although most Europeans are naive they haven’t degraded into Doctors Strangeloves like the paranoia military complex who went completely beserk.
Interesting note: One can buy, as a garden ornamental, seed to grow the same variety of poppies as grown in Afghanistan (Papaver sominferum). Apparently, the CIA doesn’t get garden catalogs. It is amazing what one can grow, “harmlessly” in one’s herb garden. Now, if the pot initiative gets passes, we don’t need the Middle East at all, we can grow our own…
Gives a whole new meaning to the “California Grown” marketing campaign.
There is no ‘periphery’ in the EU. The EU is a region sharing a currency. The acronym piigs is a misnomer: the Greeks do not deserve any derision from the Germans. Indeed: the Germans should look to their own state interests: the German banks are loaded with toxic debt:
Well Europe can do the same as Geithner did. Create some “independent” financial vehicles, station them on the Caymans and let them buy up all the notes and bonds like Indirect bidders. Nobody will notice, at least not on the short term.
Indirect bidders bought 51.2%, compared to an average of 54.1% – 9 February 2010 (MarketWatch) http://tinyurl.com/ykyjouq

The China – Taiwan thing reminds me of the Israeli-Palestinian thing.
Both are siblings in the family of nations.
The sibling rivalry goes beyond the norm and reflects large cycles of violence between them and over the centuries.
The foundation of the People’s Republic and of Taiwan actually have cousins from the same families brokering the entire thing.
The yield is said to be 200-300 kilotons, which is 10 times bigger than HIroshima and Nagasaki. Launch prep time is 10-20 minutes with range of 1500-1800 km. Therefore, any 7th Fleet present in the western Pacific is likely within range. These nukes are ship carried and launched.
FAS reports that terminal guidance was being developed. Because that terminal guidance physics and technology is similar to MIRV and 3rd stage techniques, the TRAITOR to the USA at LORAL named SWARTZ GAVE that info to the PLA during the 1993-1994 timeframe. Because the Chinese have already orbited people, it is likely that they have the techniques down well.

Doc, look. The man who can’t recall his own name, goes by the pseudonym of SG, is sitting in a darkened room with a loaded gun. He was calling for Momma last night: hiding under the covers. I’m so sorry…sooo sorry….so sorry!
Eileen, I’m busy.

Yes, okay, three cases generic. Uh, huh. Of course they were tested: do you think I’d give out an untested vaccine? No, that was different. Yes, alright. Eileen, you were saying?
It’s probably too late. I’ve failed another human being, a man clinging to fear in the dark. I’m so sorry.
Eileen, just calm down. Women can’t control their emotions as well as us doctors: watch too much Oprah and daytime television. The man is out of our jurisdiction now, Eileen. If it is moral for government policemen to arrest suspect criminals, it is also moral for “private policemen” to do so. If it is moral for government to try and imprison men, then it is also moral for nongovernmental corporations to do so. Government has no magic powers or authority not possessed by private individuals. Let he who asserts that government may do that which the individual may not assume the onus of proof and demonstrate his contention.

The beauty with the Chineese attack. No arms required. Just press a SELL button on the dollar and the US treasuries and the whole empire goes in the drain.
Must admire their martial art of using the weaknesses of the adversary, all that paper, as a weapon. Morale de l’histoire. The US treasury bond bomb is mighthier than a nuclear fleet. Imagine unloading 2500 billion pieces of paper on the head of Hillary ?
It would mean sky high inflation in the USA and sky high interests rates in the USA, and the bankruptcy for the 80% of US citizens still working. I don’t think it will happen. But hey ? Stupid as Hillary is, who knows ?
I bought a new YD52 2 years ago .. predecessor of the one above.
3 Horsepower Benzine Motor + 52cm. sword.
I paid 50 Euros on Ebay .. couldn’t believe how cheap it was.
It has worked beautifully since then.
So I bought the newest model ( shown above ) for ca. 60 Euros … as a spare.
In Germany, a similar model on the high-street will set you back easily 250 Euros.
I am just amazed that they can sell these things at that price .. the importer probably paid 30 Euros for the bulf order ( just guessing ).
What would you rather have ?
50 Euros of Fiat Money , or a decent chainsaw ?

The vaccines have nothing to do with heart attacks.
Heart Attacks occur every day and have many causes.
OTOH, release of death data is difficult.
If the Prison Planet people want to really delve into this stuff, they should be requesting total and complete 100% transparency on the release of the identity redacted death data.
You need to track causes of death per area per time period. This can not be done unless the gov’t permits doctors to review the death data.
They don’t let us do that work. The doctors are supposed to let the employees of the Public Health agency do that.

@Marc:
Sarkozy claims he knows the way forward to a world of libertad, fraternidad, and igaldad; then he signs contracts to prolong his nation’s preeminence as a nuclear power hegemon through theft and deceit.
Not a good example. One loses confidence in the whole “European project”. I looks like the same old stage makeup.
@Will Snoot
TODAY the big daddy making the raping in Africa is Big Daddy USA. So f y Will with remarks about France or the old empires. The New Kid on the block USA is as bad. Remember you arrogant ignorant ? 6 million Congoleese people dead in a “civil” war in Congo ? Most of the arms like in Rwanda, like in Sudan, like in many of these bloody conflicts are supplied not by just France, Russia or China, but MOSTLY by the USA and the UK. Congo is a good example of one fine fiascon SPONSORED by the CIA for nearly 40 years. Same thing with Cambodia. Remember Cambodia the CIA MI5 buddy Pol Pot ? When it comed to dirty colonialism in 2010, the USA is difficult to beat.
@Will and Snoot
Nigeria not bad too. But It’s fuckin british. And what about Uganda and Zimbabwé. Just for your info Congo was not under the control of France but Belgium. Besides that, the british and you mother fuckers from the USA did the same thing. I am no France admirer but you freakin anglo-saxons are so biased. American colonial rule in South America, Indonesia, and Philippines or Cuba was quite a nice big piece of shit. And for your info Will, Mobuto of Congo was the CIA’s boy (we say “roi nègre”) for 40 years in the Congo. Ingnorant arrogant english speaking colonialist. France no better no worse than you CIA yankee murderers.

I can’t help thinking that caution is one thing but when FEAR INFECTS YOUR MIND and takes over… you will end up like some crackhead scared to go out, peeking at life from behind the curtains, totally PARANOID!!!
Wow, that denninger hasn’t looked in the mirror lately. He would quickly be toast in a war. What a raving lunatic. Is this a sign of ‘the market’ believing war is the solution? People that are for war should be automatically enlisted. “Are you for war? Yes, well, welcome to the armed forces! Now drop dwon and give me 50 push-ups you whining pussy!”
Ships have ballistic missle defences, f.i. the goalkeeper system (that fires at high frequency at supersonic tragets). Aircraft carriers are sitting ducks for any number of attacks so I would never use them against a country as capable as china.
In the end one option for the US is to keep trading as the traders ruined their chances in battle. I think China would be fine with that.

There is an exhibit here of tapestries from the Habsburg Dynasty. Time to unfurl the medieval mind-set: sprung upon the lesson that men are not created equal. That some men need others to control their resources, their wealth, their agency, their livelihoods.
What a crock of sh*t. The nuevo France is built on the same old thievery.
“French presidents have a weakness for grands projets. But Sarkozy aims at nothing less than the “moralisation of capitalism” and the “humanisation of globalisation”. Indeed, as Henri Guaino, the president’s political strategist, told the Financial Times: “If modern society has no conviviality, no humanity and no attachment to its past, then we need to do away with modernity.”..
It is also clear that the new civilisation into which Sarkozy plans to usher Africans as well as Europeans cannot be based on contemporary French culture. France in the 60s almost exclusively fulfilled a worldwide aspiration for highbrow culture; the names of Sartre, Camus and Truffaut were revered even in remote Indian towns where few of their works were available. Today, the country famous for having given Vivre Sa Vie to the world is identified internationally with Amélie; its premier literary export in recent years has been the banal miserabilist Michel Houellebecq; and the suspected fraudster Jérôme Kerviel, the Société Générale trader, is now the most famous French man.
So what does the French president mean by politique de civilisation? There are some hints in Morin’s writings, which broadly state that materialism and individualism have shattered older forms of community, replacing them with soulless anonymity; and that to reform itself, modern civilisation should seek quality of life rather than mere quantity, the mindless accumulation of things…
France is one of many western countries where inflation is rising as the economy slows down. Sarkozy has responded by moving the goalposts of neoliberalism: he has commissioned the economists Amartya Sen and Joseph Stiglitz to develop a better measurement of social wellbeing than GDP growth – part of a plan to bring about a new “Renaissance”, not just in France but also in the EU.”
“I would like first of all to thank the organisers for inviting me to participate in this panel discussion on a new Monetary Order for the XXI Century [1]. The title seems to suggest that we had a monetary order in the previous century, but then we lost it in the course of this decade and we now need something new. In fact, we have been searching for a new monetary order since the fall of the Bretton Woods agreement, in the summer of 1971, and even that order was not so orderly, after all.
I will not try to define what a monetary order is. [2] What we ultimately need is a framework in which payment flows between residents of different countries ensure smooth trading in goods, services and financial assets. It matters not only because international trade is an engine for growth but also because payments imbalances are a natural result of non-barter economies. Actually, the more developed the financial sector is, the easier it is to finance an imbalance between inward and outward payments, to the extent that the debt can be repaid or the credit can be cashed in. We could thus define a viable monetary order as one in which the credibility of the debtor and in the worthiness of the creditor can be maintained, while preserving the stability of the underlying real and financial markets…
The fact that the crisis has restored the IMF to its place at the heart of the international financial system should provide some hope in this respect. However, over recent months the Fund has concentrated mainly on crisis resolution. On the other hand, if we are striving for an international monetary order in which crises are the exception, the Fund has to have a greater role in prevention. In this respect, the discussions that have taken place in most international fora after the burst of the crisis have focussed mainly on strengthened regulatory and prudential measures, not on macroeconomic surveilance. One could even see a risk that the way in which this crisis is being addressed could weaken the Fund’s preventive tools, at least with respect to macroeconomic policies. Let me elaborate.
One element of concern is that, even after the crisis, the IMF has not been able to convince its members that large external imbalances constitute a serious threat to global financial and economic stability. The crisis is seen by several key players as unrelated to the accumulation of external imbalances, and thus unrelated to the way in which the international financial system works. The IMF itself seems to favour the view that the origins of this crisis are not to be found in the members’ policies, nor in external imbalances, but in insufficient regulation and supervision and in the improper behaviour of market participants…
In sum, a new world monetary order – that is, a framework for payments between residents of different countries which ensures smooth trading in goods, services and financial assets – requires a mechanism to keep imbalances in check. Key elements of such a mechanism include a prominent role for the IMF in two essential areas: strong and effective surveillance in crisis prevention, and responsible lending, with appropriate limits and conditionality, to countries in need. This was the consensus prevailing until just before this crisis. There is a risk that the short-term objectives pursued to resolve the current crisis will change this consensus. A new monetary order must first and foremost aim to prevent crises, not to postpone them.”

You begin to sound like Denninger “Europe sees the necessity of building a world order.” The elite have a few branches in the U.S.A. and Europe so it’s not or, or but and, and – They work in collusion these American and European Rothschild branches.

@Youri:
The point of the link I left (and it is from the OECD, so would I agree with the outcome?) is that the dollar/reserve system is fraught with imbalance and no one is at ‘fault’: trade surplus or deficit had nothing to do with subprime.
I think it does one well to read the paper as it is a good summary of the real thinking going on behind the reform movement. I think I made clear my opinion on the worthiness of reform: the reserve/dollar idea was a bad one from the beginning but the sdr/reserve reform is worse. The arrogance of Sarkozy and Stiglitz is astounding. Europe sees the necessity of building a world order.
@Phil – FIDOnet days… Yup. But there are always ways. It’s just best not to hide where lots of people are trying to hide, ot to think that any system is completely secure. So for example, sending lots of PGP encrypted emails is a sure way to attract attention!
Ye Market ticker guy is, when it comes to international relations and foreign entitites etc etc, completely whacked out on blind, dogmatic tribalistic patriotism ..rendering most points of no real significan\ce
This “Imbalances” story is a hook wash. We all know that these fraudulent triple AAA secularizations together with low interest rates creating cheap funny money was the cause. Europe and others are guilty of buying (60%) this toxic stuff.
That’s why part of the AIG bailout was directed back to Europe otherwise it would be “game over” back in Nov. 2008 cause before that a lot of European money went to the U.S. to back up the dollar.
Blaming the Chinese for “Imbalances” even in the MSM is just ridiculous.
@Palantíri .. OperaTor … No , I haven’t tried it yet.

Americans that are calling for sound money and no dollar deficits are actually asking for overwhelming increases in import costs and the death of the dollar reserve system.
They need to brush up a bit on international finance!
Gree he has lots of good insights economically but Denninger has his limitations especially when he gets outside his specialty. But nobody is perfect except the Captain LOL
“Indeed, if the US stopped running balance of payments deficits and supplying reserves, liquidity would dry up and pull the global economy into a downward spiral.
How did these imbalances fuel the crisis? US deficits and saving surpluses in emerging East Asian economies, especially China, and oil-exporting countries have been growing since the early 2000s. Emerging market savings helped to bring down world interest rates, leading investors to search for higher-yielding but relatively low-risk assets, including real estate. Low interest rates in turn contributed to the financial excesses that finally culminated in the crisis.”

thanks cal doc, The circumstances just seemed really odd. And then hearing that other hospitals have reported heart attacks to other young people really made my eyebrows pick up. I’m not sure if its just women or not. If its just women then that would probably narrow it down to what is causing it.
I also like to have more info about those hart attacks but Jon heard it on the radio. Will keep an eye on that maybe to a posting to trigger the network. Wouldn’t be surprised if these female youngsters received the HPV injection.
@ Jon –

F-TV (like CNBC) has been saying that German banks are going to run to support the EU and the Greek refinancing situation.
With our prior exchange about the local economy in Germany and California, it seems that much of this is silly. Neither Germany nor California can print more money.
Is CNBC New York correct is reporting that the German banks are going to bail out the EU?
BTW, Reinhardt might be guessing that the markets will tank on 2-10-10

Foreword written by, Col. John A. Kardos, director of the Peacekeeping and Stability Operations Institute.
” widespread civil violence inside the US would force the defense establishment to reorient priorities in extremis to defend basic domestic order and human security.”
” Rapid dissolution of public order in all or significant parts of the US.”
” deliberate employment of weapons of mass destruction, unforeseen economic collapse, loss of functioning political and legal order, purposeful domestic resistance or insurgency and catastrophic natural and human disasters.”
” a number of possible things we should worry about – because we probably don’t have enough of our own – Run-of-the-mill terrorism – China and Russia could align against us politically and economically.”
The radio didn’t say any other details. And the two girls we know I’m not sure if they took vaccinations or not. But that was the first thing that crossed my mind. Just really odd.

@jon – we have not seen that in this area of well-populated California. OTOH, if you see my posts suddenly stop, it could be due to sudden medical illness.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest can occur from many causes, including use of drugs, undiagnosed electrophysiologic disease, etc.
You can not extrapolate from those public health stats. Those stats are lousy datapoints.
It’s like trusting the gov’t unemployment data, but this time its your life.
@Phil – California should be higher on that 10 list. There’s 45 million people in the state and its supposedly the 8th largest economy on the planet (moving down by the day as the circles the drain).
@Will – Your points on China are laser focused.
The Chinese are in the drivers seat.
The people running the banks in NY and London need to listen and listen good.
If they do not pay the Chinese back, the real torture will begin. You can count me out of that firing range. I will not send my family to defend the honor of the very bastards that sank us into this mess to begin with.
If the BRIC were politically astutute, they would create a strategy where the American populace can run under “their’ cover instead of the Bildeberg cover.
off topic, Has anyone heard anything of young people in your area dieing of heart attacks this month. 20 year olds. We have had two 25 year old girls just drop dead on the street that we knew die in the last two weeks of an instant heartattack.
And I just heard on the radio that hospitals have reported a rash of young people dieing of heart attacks this month in the usa. REally odd.
The attack on China has been planned long ago. In the military training China is mentioned as their enemy. Their busy encircling it remember.
I think they want to provoke China so that if the U.S. collapses they can blame them and direct the aggression away from the banksters to China. Why do you think Paulson suddenly comes out with the witty China blame story? He’s been instructed to do so.

I really think that the White House is runned by a bunch of crazy psychopaths. Fundementally they are asking China to give them a monopoly on all Middle East oil.

@maxkeiser – China – Stop talking and start selling.
China has been effectively shorting the USD for some time, even as far back as 2004. One method is by USD based loans, which are increasing sharply: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601109&sid=aRejPDcPi43o&pos=15
Another method is by entering into long-term contracts with commodity producting nations. See http://www.iags.org/chinainafrica.pdf
The Chinese do everything very deliberately and with long-range intentions. The PLA announcement is getting a lot of “bang” for the amount it cost them, even if they do nothing else publicly.
Your future is Nazi Germany. No illusion. Economic crisis like the one we have will lead to that. All the infrastructure for US Nazi Germany are NOW all in place.

I liked Max’s point “the proof is in the price”, nuff said.
@ Problem is
Max had a show a year or so back where he went into this subject to a pretty large extent.
I think he said it was pretty running joke that cash would come in on a regular basis, literally in cars, and that it was all drug money, and no one really seemed to care.
The Book Crossing the Rubicon has some great info on the Wall Street side of narco-trafficking.
@ Max.
Ask Ms. Fitts…
The CIA traffics drugs and launders drug money.
Max,
Moreira’s assertion that there is no evidence of CIA heroine trafficking is either ignorant or a bald faced lie.
The CIA has been involved in heroin trafficking since its inception spying on the Chinese Nationalist and then the Chinese communists from bases in Laos and Burma since 1948. These facts are meticulously documented, sourced and sited by Professor Alfred W. McCoy, University of Wisconsin.
The Politics of Heroin: CIA Complicity in the Global Drug Trade
Alexander Cockburn… an Irish refugee in the States (The Nation contributor “Beat the Devil,” Wall St. Journal contributor… no shit in the 80s…) wrote a well documented book with Jeffery St. Clair:
Whiteout: The CIA, Drugs and the Press
I’d be more than happy to loan you my copies for some research…
Since the French security agency was deeply involved in Indo China opium trafficking… hence all the all the heroin labs in Marseilles… no doubt your little French documentary maker would be inclined to deny official state involvement in heroin trafficking.

Max,
I cant agree that the US needs the Taliban.

Nation-states sure ain’t what they used to be.

15 January 2010 – As many as 80 million Americans have been infected with H1N1 swine flu, up to 16,000 have been killed and more than 360,000 hospitalized, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Friday.

@Marc:

Difficult to make credit to gipsis. NINJA loans. No Income No jobs. No Assets. Hummm ? It’s exactly the case for Greece to think of it.
Who is goddamned applying Basel? Germany?
Why don’t we read about the German sweet deal: put the toxic debt in storage for twenty years!
HAHAHAHA

@frances snoot
Let’s face it: the US is being milked by Europe. I mean: Pimco? CIT? Thain? And no plan for us!!! Just good old dyke Bair out for the kill.
@Snoot

@Snoot
Youri: where did the debt go? Did Germany sweep it under a rug?

This is an interesting blog, for anyone who yearns for another perspective!
“In politics, the pawns are the people, the chessboard is the world stage. Strategic countries are invaded because of the “threat” they pose. This threat is 0f course created by the psychopaths in charge using the vast resources of intelligence services. “Terrorist threats” are fabricated. Atrocities are committed and then pinned on imaginary “terrorist groups”. Orwell had it right. Emmanuel Goldstein was a creation of the Party. The bombings blamed on him and his followers were committed by the Party itself for the purpose of keeping the population afraid and compliant.”

There is no ‘periphery’ in the EU. The EU is a region sharing a currency. The acronym piigs is a misnomer: the Greeks do not deserve any derision from the Germans. Indeed: the Germans should look to their own state interests: the German banks are loaded with toxic debt:

@MAX – Great commentary on drug money and price.
For those idiots chasing vaccines as a cause of heart attacks in younger people…I call you idiots because heart attacks do occur in these patients.
Blaming vaccines for these sudden cardiac deaths is utterly ludicrous.
The abuse of drugs is one cause that can not be ignored and does appear to be a signficant cause of cardiac death.
There are many causes… but one thing that can not be ignored is that Afghanistan exports opium and drugs as part of its economy.
Claiming otherwise is reflection of either naive ignorance or participation in the criminal syndicate.

The China – Taiwan thing reminds me of the Israeli-Palestinian thing.
Both are siblings in the family of nations.

Because that terminal guidance physics and technology is similar to MIRV and 3rd stage techniques, the TRAITOR to the USA at LORAL named SWARTZ GAVE that info to the PLA during the 1993-1994 timeframe. youri, I’m not sure of what station I was on. My car radio is an ancient one and its hard to read where I’m at with it. I think it was a health show I’d wandered onto. I heard the words heart attacks so I listened more. I was just going through the dial. When i heard it was also young people then I was surprised.
If and when micheal gets back to me i’ll try and give him my friends last names so maybe he can check on it more. But I kind of hate to do that cause I’d be invading their privacy. Right now the one couple is at the funeral in north carolina. And won’t be back for a few days. The other parents of the knoxville people only live here part time and I’m not sure of their last name. Though I’m really leary of giving out that info.. I feel bad enough for them as it is.
@SG
Feel a lot healthier already….it really works! TnX for the infighting tip SG. I ow you.

@jon
Did you also mention the Radio station? Give all the info you have even if you can’t remember the dates and details well.
@California Doctor
Yeah, sure young people dieing from a hard attack is normal. Besides how do you know it’s not from the vaccines? Give me a break.
@California Doctor …. Chinese looking to retalliate against the US in a trade war start?
Yes … Saber rattling at first, but I guess it won’t stop there.
Taiwan is a sore point between the US and China.
The waters around Taiwan are a major shipping route for US oil and other shipping.
I’ve been watching for a few years, and get the impression that there is a anti-US grouping taking place.
Also, Iran supplies China with a lot of oil AFAIK
@California Doctor.

Anyone here familiar with the Brand “Stenson” ?

Anyone else finding any leads on this story about the Chinese looking to retalliate against the US in a trade war start?
Also, I’m starting to see international news stories about China/PLA cooperation with the Iranians.
This is very troubling for the Afghanistan fight.
If China/PLA and Iran decide to trade through the “stans”, the coalition of the willing will be pinched quickly.
You guys are off track on the vaccines.
@M/A. you live in montreal? you should hang out with the french there. they are a lot of fun.

“You begin to sound like Denninger.”
No, Youri, I can cite my opinion with solid evidence. Denninger relies upon American mythology.
http://www.ecb.int/press/key/date/2009/html/sp090623.en.html

How to invest for a global-debt-bomb explosion
Prepare for an apocalyptic anarchy ending Wall Street’s toxic capitalism
By Paul B. Farrell, MarketWatch
ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. (MarketWatch) — Wake up investors. Are you prepared for the economic anarchy coming after a global-debt time bomb explodes? Are you thinking outside the box? Investing differently? Act now — tomorrow will be too late.
@Phil:
Will they tell us when they reweight the sdr, or will the msm just give us a plausible tale?
@Youri:

Maybe Denninger needs to read this?

REally odd.
Well of too poker again

@Marc Authier
@Snoot – Where’dya pick up this idea, Will?

I am sure the US economy will be real in great shape with the price of oil at 400$ US. Hillary Clinton should be put in a psychiatric hospital. Menacing China is not a good idea. I really think that the White House is runned by a bunch of crazy psychopaths. Fundementally they are asking China to give them a monopoly on all Middle East oil.
Speaking of shorting the US$….

@maxkeiser – China – Stop talking and start selling.
China has been effectively shorting the USD for some time, even as far back as 2004. One method is by USD based loans, which are increasing sharply:
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601109&sid=aRejPDcPi43o&pos=15
Another method is by entering into long-term contracts with commodity producting nations. See
http://www.iags.org/chinainafrica.pdf
The Chinese do everything very deliberately and with long-range intentions. The PLA announcement is getting a lot of “bang” for the amount it cost them, even if they do nothing else publicly.

Your future is Nazi Germany. No illusion. Economic crisis like the one we have will lead to that. All the infrastructure for US Nazi Germany are NOW all in place.
Patriot Act. Killing US citizens abroad, Homeland Security, Compulsive National Service, Cyber Security draconian law to seize the internet, Total control of the official media by the bombs makers. And now even the hedge fund industry parasited by nazis from the CIA. Follow the money from opium and it end up in the Nazi CIA hedge funds. What’s the difference berween a russian oligarch and an american oligarch. The American one is godamn hypocrit, the russian is cleary identified.

Just like you mentioned about the people in Russia. Still wanting to see the US as it was purported in in movies…..sad day for everybody. Good information though for the future in order to document how the US and the CIA and Blackwater are lying…..

Well, tell her to let those Basel regulations ‘stir the pot’ so assets don’t stick to the bottom where the common people are likely to get at em!
Example: CIA “privatization” and the Supreme Court permitting the corporations to be granted political speech like a person.
The Supreme Court decision had precedent behind it, CaliDoc. Things have been piss-poor since our pledge-adhesion to the flag, er ensign.
