@Hullaballoo,
“So you think America is going to have a coupe or something from the top?”
Not exactly a coup… more like the kind of political changes America has always had. The American public has always been more quiescent than their European counterparts (not something my fellows would like to hear) to “authority”. But “authority” in the US has always, while maintaining a public unity and civility, been very robust in contending for their interests. One of the rules of the American system is to leave sleeping dogs lie. Small groups, interest groups are mobilized, never ‘united’. That’s why we call it The ‘United’ States! And if you had 50 of them, you’d be careful too what you stirred up.
Public wars have happened here, but even they’ve been driven by small groups with big interests.
Do note, Wars like the American Civil War usually only happen in Europe between (nation) states. The kind of tensions within the leadership classes that spawned the American Civil War (and the “Revolutionary War” for that matter) have **never** abated.
In any event, expect more drama than “normal” or than we’ve seen recently, but certainly not something beyond the orders of what American has seen over the last one or two centuries.
Did I missed the point of your question? Was it more that I believe political change is driven by the ruling classes in America rather than “main street” or laborers? Surely you know the answer to that already. The distribution of political power in any given society tracks almost exactly with indexes (eg Gini) that show income dispersion.
Of all “Western” nations, has not America always been, broadly, the least democratic? That’s easily questionable up to the post-WWII period, but not after. Conversely, of all “third world” nations, America is clearly most ‘democratic’.
So yes, changes in America are “top” driven. The American System is for these things to operate beneath the threshold of their public’s consciousness (not hard); so expect most of the drama here to involve few, not many.
I want to make clear: I am glad to be an American– I like the people, the freedom and especially the opportunity.
What I don’t like is what every intelligent or caring person doesn’t like. But both the people and the region have *tremendous* longterm potential (not least because of it’s *internal* political stability). Canada and Australia follow, but perhaps would eventually even partially surpass America in these qualities.
American politics has always been an ‘insiders game’ (again at least viz a viz other Western politics). To profit by it requires an insider’s understanding of the rules and the players– which, of course, I certainly don’t have.

@ OrfeoTreshula
So you think America is going to have a coupe or something from the top?
@ Hullaballo
“We all know there isn’t going to a revolution in America. ”
Have you ever read de Reincourt? He’s essentially a latter day de Tocqueville. His point is my point. American strength doesn’t lie in its democracy, but its willingness to follow its leadership anywhere. Like Rome, it is more a quasi-democratic society, than a truly democratic one.
On the other hand, not all “revolutions” are public. Unlike many other areas, America has a spirited, diverse, extensive and unfathomably wealthy ruling class, an insane amount of police, intelligence services of epic proportion, and the most powerful military in world history.
This provide more than enough quarters from which a “revolution” can come. And will. And not unlikely, most folks like you and I won’t ever know about it.
It’s good to hear someone telling the truth about the anti-Iran propaganda in the media. Here in Sweden I couldn’t reach presstv.ir during all day of feb11th. Who could be behind that?
btw, its nice to hear max talking about the pound now instead of the yen (last show max, you said the yen would be next on the chopping block, but i disagree). I took out short positions on the pound about a week and a half ago. I don’t feel comfortable shorting the Euro at this time, though I expect it to fall much lower over many months, but I feel like the pound is due for a sharp downturn. Too many problems to overlook up there. As much as I have been a gold bug for many years, as i have said on this forum before, there is a time to be a buyer of gold and a time to be a holder of cash or other assets, and being long the dollar since September has proven a wise decision. I agree that Preacher’s analysis on gold defies what seems like unshakable fundamentals, which is why I would start buying again if it broke 1000 (EWT thinks its going to break 700), but I see plenty of reasons why it could drop. The central banks right now are all in panic mode again. As sovereign debt “comes into play” I think the CBs are going to put gold purchases on the back burner and focus on their bailouts and whatever other stability measures they need to enforce. My predictions:
Euro continues steady decline (obviously with brief rallies)
Pound comes under attack next and its decline is far more fierce
Yen/Dollar – these two have been strong as of late and I don’t know which will break first. I also don’t know about the swiss franc. Max mentioned that but i hadn’t thought about it too much.
Meanwhile, I have been accumulating short positions in the S&P through ETF since September along with the QQQ, together making 60% of my portfolio and 15% long the dollar with the rest in dollar cash. Very unbalanced, but its a oneway bet to Armageddon. Hopefully we get the Preacher scenario and then I put the rest in bullion and maybe arable land.
We all know there isn’t going to a revolution in America. This is a joke. In order to have a revolution you need to have people who aren’t living in a dark version of a brave new world. The people here are on every anti-depressant you can imagine, eat pure sh*i, think that exercise means fad diets and weightloss supplements. They are zombies. Have you ever seen a zombie revolution? I don’t think so. Instead, in America, you won’t even see a build up of nationalist fighting spirit that you saw in post Wiemar germany. Instead, Americans are literally just going to accept slavery.
I’m so glad you’re reports lately have been so substantial; and that they’ve been dealing with reflections on China and historic periods, empires, etc…. Smarter than ever. Please don’t stop.
But you are wrong, and I can demonstrate why for those who care. The US Empire is just beginning. The US is going to rise stronger than it has ever been as soon as Obama is removed (neither he, nor others, what him presiding over the great roar back of US power).
I realize that, as a “contrarian”, I am a contrarian contrarian. I am not a neocon, nor a neo liberal. My interests tend toward moderate anarchism– and in the long term, i’m utterly bullish on anarchism. But in the mid-term, we are not seeing the decline of the US Empire, but of the US Republic. Obama is our new Marc Antony. I suppose no one is going to remember me saying this in 4 years, but hey, maybe someone else out there can see this also.
I should note that commodities are the future. US as hardcore Empire (you ain’t seen nothing yet) is going to be entirely commodity based. I expect the new currency(s) will also be.
So Max and Stacy, your long term and near term perspectives I think concur with mine, but the mid-term– I fear those who bet against an unprecedenced midterm US resurgence could be dangerously exposed.
Watch for the changes to occur immediately after the Obama administration is no longer a global player (which may not be when they lose the US presidency, but I doubt would be much longer after that.)
@Stacy
Fractal Bowels? I learned about fractals through RP’s “At the Crest of the Tidal Wave”, but he didn’t mention that…..
That’s almost as good as the female researcher who KNEW the dolphin (in the biblical sense, and it even got a chuckle out of you). Max must get these ideas from his dealer. We’re apparently a bit more conservative here in western NY than you downstaters are.
You bought up a very interesting point about gangsters changing their identities, recently Blackwater changed their name to Xe.
RE: Paperchase
Also I used to work at a place which had a Paperchase concession and people used to buy stuff and say; “I don’t know why I am buying this…” Its probably because the name of the company (which was displayed everywhere) had a sub conscious effect on the mind. If you say it sounds literally like PAY PURCHASE. So people ended up buying pointless things they didn’t really need.
I would say the recovery is more like a lower case “p”
- you travel in circles for a while then its no where but down!!
Re: Up in the cold north
Cold place people only goes out in the weekend, and then it is a game of sport to get as drunk as you can before going to the clubs and bars. It’s a weird stupid thing but since drinks do cost so much you might as well get drunk at home for then to just buy a beer or two to maintain the drunkenness when you’re out – its economically sensible.
We do not eat at restaurants and cafe’s so much, lunch is eaten at work and dinner at home.
But all this staying at home thing leads to another huge debt trap, maintaining the house is a costly thing and it is the nation’s favorite activity to redecorate/refurbish/renovate/remodel the home – it is a Milliard industry each year.

ungovernable.
We’re a bit like that here in Ireland too haha.
@ NAM
what people fail to understand is that the mere fact of being ungovernable make these countries (Italy in particular) real problems for the wanna be world dictators, both the US and the UK have become pliant servants of the state
@ GGees.
I don’t Think Greece will be reforming anybody for a while.
Funny though, Both Italy and Greece have gone from being great empires to piigs
oink oink.
The US/UK are next imo.
LOL @ Berlusconi as a dictator, Italy has been ungovernable ever since the fall of Rome, no tin pot wanna be dictator even Berlusconi has a hope in hell of governing Italy. Greece and Italy formed the West and they will reform it again, no dumb anglo can uderstand that LOL
@namarama
Well that’s why as Stacy pointed out: in the South there is more debt then in the north. The South always had dictatorships in Europe or has so called chosen dictators like Berlusconi.
They only exception to this is Belgium, although we see them as south (and Catholic) ex part of Holland.

Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation,
therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men.
We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely

@Marc -
I do not disagree with the notion that those in power want to limit the freedom of communication via the internet.
There are decades of internet experience to back your opinion and mine.
Still, the decision to capitulate to the abusive attempt to prevent freedom of expression, speech, and movement must be matched with the reverse.
Just because they are attempting to limit our freedom, take control of our lives, and force our priorities… I post.
You and I both do not know the other. We often disagree here and feel free to express it. From this discussion comes a reshaping and an evaluation of the facts.
It would be funny if the POTUS is actually reading our comments from the White House. He is sufficiently intelligent and connected that he can electronically escape the shackles of his captors and handlers.
Has anyone here on this board attempted to email Obama directly?
I know doctors are in touch with the White House directly on healthcare issues. They are physicians who want change and have hope that Obama can deliver.
I am not as convinced that any US President has the ability or power to force the banks to do anything. After President Jackson and President Lincoln, there are few US Presidents who have been successful at freeing the people from the controlling power of the central banks. In fact, Woodrow Wilson gave the nation to the Federal Reserve. It makes me wonder if the Wilson decision was before or after he was crippled by his brain disorder.
One thing is for sure… we should continue to disagree and vocalize those differences.
@Chenjeshu –
I was trying really hard to track that intriguing story, but it disappeared from all coverage in the few weeks after being reported.
There were a few blogs that were suggesting different things.
One blog was claiming that there were no such thing as “Kennedy” bonds. Based upon the dates on the publicly available images, the blogger was suggesting that the bonds were fake.
For those who were not aware of the story, Bloomber carried a report about $134 BILLION in US Bonds being seized by Italian authorities.
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601039&sid=a62_boqkurbI
The LA Times subsequently ran this story… which appears to discount the story.

I know you are intelligent California Doctor. Obanana but also the other gang and corporate want you to shut the fuck up. Can’t find any expression than that. The censure and the spying and the control will be TOTAL.
I think they are real worried by blogs like this one. They want to find a way of reconcentrating the media MONOPOLY and kill ALL alternative media. The liberty of debate and information on the net must be killed. So what’s left of individual rights and democracy. It’s a certainty. They will probably attack the blogs by denying FCC permits or by trying to charge the free information.

@Calfiornia Doctor, As Stacy likes to say, the US has long since reached the “Let them eat cake” stage. The gov’t. is completely detached from both the public and reality. Life keeps getting more and more like a David Lynch film.
I think what Max was getting at was that fractals capture the fundamentally recursive, or reflexive, nature of the economy. Max’ frequent guest Steve Keen writes all the time about the “endogenous” nature of credit creation. More than 90% of the money supply is just credit. It’s an essentially self-creating, or recursive, process. So Keen calls for dynamical economic models, such as are commonly used in engineering.

I can’t figure out tonight if Obama is signing the bill that the Congress passed 8 weeks ago, or if it is a new bill.
Perhaps if someone else on this site can identify what is going on???
By just comparing the two news stories, it seems that the public national debt ceiling was escalated from 12. 4 TRILLION by another 1.9 TRILLION… a more than FIFTEEN PERCENT increase in national debt ceiling in only 6 weeks!
Am I reading that right?
Whatever happened to those 2 Japanese guys with $134.5 billion in bonds caught in Italy? That sure was the hot gossip last summer.
…from Wikipedia…
“Chiasso financial smuggling case
As of September 15, 2009 there have been no official or unofficial updates from the U.S., Italian, or Japanese officials.
This complete lack of official statements has continued to fuel speculation and even questions about the competency of both the United States Secret Service and the Guardia di Finanza, both of which have been silent about this matter.
On September 18, 2009, a similar incident was reported[16] by the Italian financial police, this time involving two (apparently) Philippine nationals smuggling U.S. Treasury bonds (valued at approximately $180 billion) at Malpensa Airport (the largest airport in Milan, Italy). The two were detained and the assessment of this case is on-going.”
@ Man from Glad -
This revolution requires information warfare techniques including the ability to be more integral to society and the economy.
The political elite are so distant from main street, that even the local elected officials are unable to see the economic freight train coming for them. The speed of the decay appears so significant and the momentum so massive, that they can not see it until too late, can not react fast enough, and therefore seem to be running for the hills.

http://tvnz.co.nz/national-news/cost-clinton-s-no-show-108-000-3364081
The cost of Hillary Clinton’s planned visit to New Zealand has cost taxpayers $108,000 NZD even though she was a no show.
According to figures obtained under the Official Information Act, the Visits and Ceremonials Office, a unit of the
Department of Internal Affairs, spent a non-refundable $30,000 on travel and accommodation, $23,000 on VIP transport and $29,000 that went into “planning” a function organised jointly by the NZ-US Council and the American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand.
Further costs included $10,800 ($US7,588.00) to fly New Zealand’s ambassador to the US from Washington to Auckland and back again, as well as significant travel, accommodation and planning costs, the Sunday Star Times reported.
United States Secretary of State Clinton called off her planned three-day visit last month to help coordinate US relief efforts in Haiti, following the devastating earthquake there that killed up to 200,000 people.
She has promised to reschedule her New Zealand visit as soon as possible.
@underfundamentalist,
Oh, now that picture comes in clear. Only the inner circle of power get the cure, the rest just die. However, people born naturally afterward would have damaged DNA. Thye have to have slaves to work for them. Maybe they will hatch them outside of the usual avenue of human bodies.
Good God! Sounds like a science fiction horror.
@Youri
This fits with Antony C. Sutton’s book about Hitler and Wall street. Wall street Bankers bankrolled Hitler and several American corporations supported the Germans. On bombing runs, American pilots inside German lines were told not to touch certain targets. Those targets were buildings and factories that were property of American corporations aiding the cause.
The reason: the Helgelian construct of controlling and managing war and conflict. When you can do this you can control history for the next 20 years and have financial advantage. Who are they in the US? The Order, Skull and Bones at least that is one part of the Order. There are other secret sociieties that are a part.
Google JFK and you will run across a short speech about secret socieities in America and around the world. He was asking the help of the media to disclose and to fight against this. I believe this speech and his non compliance with their war machine (military industrial complex) in viet nam, bay of pigs, cuba is wht got him assassinated.
Rectification: Not the CIA cause that didn’t exist yet but the American beginnings of that service which was based on the English OSS model.

I think for every German soldier 9 Russians died and now there is even an Historical review that this number could be evn much higher.
Stalin was constantly asking Roosevelt to open the second front but Roosevelt idea was to first let Europe suffer under the Germans before doing anything so that’s why he waited so long. Only when the Russians where marching towards Berlin the second front was opened to prevent Western Europe coming under Russian influence.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/7191113/Greek-crisis-intensifies-as-Joe-Stiglitz-calls-for-Europe-to-teach-the-speculators-a-lesson.html
Economist Joe Stiglitz, who is advising the Greek government, last night denied that the country would require a bail-out, and urged national authorities to intervene in markets to “teach the speculators a lesson”. Likening the situation to the Asian financial crisis, in which even healthy economies were targeted as hedge funds and investors withdrew from the region, he told the Sky’s Jeff Randall Live show: “The speculators will always look for the weakest link. What they’re doing now is a version of the Hong Kong double play in 1997 /1998.
“What Hong Kong did in response was to raise interest rates and intervene in the stock market. They burnt the speculators and Europe needs to do the same thing.”

About the CIA hit list. It’s not just about a couple of truth seekers, It’s about ALL of you. You are all on the CIA hit list. Democracy or what’s is left is on the list. I have a prediction to make to you. One day people will spit on the ground when seing the statue of Liberty.
Let’s say I am not optimistic when I think at what type of scumbags your politica class is. The five politicians that voted against the cybersecurity law are certainly on the hit list, starting with Ron Paul and Kucinich. They are easy to spot. 5 courageous politicians not scared of dying. You will die anyways. Might as well fighting the satanists in power.
You will notice that the producers are all english speaking countries except Israel, the inventor of this demonic wheapon. It’s used on a regular basis in Pelestine, in Lebannon and Israel. It has contaminated the whole region. Not just the Palestinians will be victims. Israeli population too, is drinking, breathing and eating these same pollutants that travel in water and the wind. And there is NO difference on a biological basis and genetic basis between men.

America’s fragile high street banks are bracing themselves for a fresh financial crunch as a wave of commercial property mortgages go sour on offices, shops and factories, causing losses of up to $300bn (£192bn) hitting nearly 3,000 small- and medium-sized financial institutions.
@Y’ALL
yeah, Max and Stacy said it first…Duck and Cover, JOHNNY… Duck and Cover!!!
@Naomi
Don’t worry. No monopoly here. They are ALL like that.
Depleted uranium is just one of many substances. What’s vicious is that the stuff is almost eternal.
You have to be a total criminal DEMONIC and SATANIC mind to use such a weapon. It’s used to kill not only during a conflit, but killl on a long term basis. That’s why I say that those that use these arms want in reality not just win a war. They want to commit genocide.
@marc
I didn’t realize the US had “help” in destroying all of humanity. Truly, a world gone mad.
@Naomi
Fundementally the USA and ALL our countries are runned by genocidal nazis.
Youri,
I know what you are saying. I see the sickness too. I get angry and want to move away, but it is very problematic.
There still are good people here, they are asleep for now. But they are waking up and that’s why Cass Sunstein is saying what he is saying. The Whitehouse is testing people, just like in North Carolina.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EFMofs0y-w
@youri
Well, the point is that this is air borne and killing people silently and yes Iraq is suing the US, and yes the word is getting out via the international court and the world will wake up to this. We are going to reap a whirlwind. Talk about hatred of America in the coming years……deserved.
Marc, the military has been using this in the US on bases all across America. I will view the video. I have seen the pictures of the birth defects and they are a wound to your soul. Women in Iraq are afraid of giving birth. These devils have a death wish for all humanity.
The second part of that interview is also interesting ; the world community is now investigating the H1N1 hoax that big Pharma in conjunction with the World health organization has pushed on the world. Made billions on it. Disgusting.
No wonder Obama is going after the American People who stand up and tell the truth.

Wait that these bastards at the Pentagon start using it on Amercan population. I you can kill 10% of all Irakis for oil, it’s not a problem to contaminate and kill a couple thousands of US citizens.
Not just the Irakis were exposed. The state killers from the Pentagon were massively exposed and as the Irakis are massively sick. But don’t count on the media talking about all these militaries with terminal cancer in their 30′s
Fantastic documentary on the Internet.
Beyond Treason.

NIGTHMARE. The photos are what these nazis bastards from Washington and the Pentagon call the “CLEAN” war.
You have 5 criminal countries: Canada, USA, UK, Isreal and Australia that manufacture this shit.
@naomi
Yep, I heard that it’s a recap from an earlier show but that’s not the point. What the point is that the U.S. is committing a Crime against Humanity and should be brought before the international court.
I heard that Iraq is trying that but since the MSM is dead an corrupted yuppie Jellyfish you don’t hear mutch about it.

@everyone,
Alex Jones interviewed a Senior Officer in the military regarding Depleted Uranium yesterday. In general, he is saying that the US military has been using depleted Uranium for many years on ordinance and bombs. We used it in Desert Storm, Kosovo, we are using it now in Iraq and Afhganistan and Israel is using it.
It is very toxic, has a half life of 40 billion years. Yes, that’s the number. It’s causing hedious birth defects, it’s killing people by way of cancers of all kinds. The US military is using this on testing grounds throughout the US, Hawaii……the soldiers that return home are dying from it, they are cross contaminating their familes and birth defects are huge. The government is not giving them the health care they are entitled to.
The US burned and exploded ordinance and bombs in Iraq in order to “get rid” of it before they started to wind down operations there. That depleted Uranium is floating on the air and has made it’s way to Europe. What the world will wake up to is slow death by way of depleted Uranium.
This senior officer who was head of cleaning up the depleted uranium is the one who is speaking in the interview.
No wonder Alex Jones is on a hit list from the CIA. It’s a race against time for people in the military to come forward and tell the truth.
If you can stand to hear the truth coming from the US military, listen to this interview. Depleted Uranium makes agent orange used in Viet Nam look like ice cream.
@Phil Germany
And by the way. In the USA and Europe there is also a HUGE probability of a generalized bank run and capital controls. PRISON PLANET. I always thought that Alex Jones was a little bit coocoo. He’s not !

That’s why don’t keep the gold at a bank. Much too dangerous.
The Powers that Be are really starting to get worried:
The American blogosphere is going increasingly “viral” about a proposal advanced at the recent meeting of the Davos Economic Forum by Craig Mundie, chief research and strategy officer for Microsoft, that an equivalent of a “driver’s licence” should be introduced for access to the web. This totalitarian call has been backed by articles and blogs in Time magazine and the New York Times.
As bloggers have not been slow to point out, the system being proposed is very similar to one that the government of Red China reluctantly abandoned as too repressive. It was inevitable that, sooner or later, the usual unholy alliance of government totalitarians and big business would attempt to end the democratic free-for-all that is the blogosphere. The United Nations is showing similar interest in moving to eliminate free speech.
@Gges
And what’s the truth about 911. And the bank bailouts. And the H1N1 terror campaign. And about that bastard Obama that was suppose to clean the banking fascist pigs. And about why you are in Afghanistan and the 1400% increase in opium production. And the fucking nazi CIA selling dope in the USA.
Know what ? His batting average is much better that the big whores at BBC or NBC etc….

Max…the Bank of England & the Black Plague…you get a re-do.
Max, the bank of England was the overthrow(final coup d’etat) of “King & Country” by the London Merchants(Parliament///Latifundia[Tories] fuses with Venetian Model)… resulting from the 50 yrs of Civil War preceeding the Glorious Revolution. The Bank of England(Issac Newton) took over the King’s Debts in exchange for total monopoly of England’s National Assets(think Iceland or Greece today). These monopolies were East & West India Cos & all the others(Muscovy, Levant, Africa et al.) The South Sea Bubble was the leveraging of these debts & the respective monopolies.Robert Walpole came into power after Newton went back to contemplating Revelations. The world has been on the Walpole System ever since….ie..[Government].DEBT as MONEY. Hamilton was Walpole….the Fed, the Treasury, the works.
Switzerland is BANKRUPT. Tell the people Tell the people Tell the people.
The financial leverage is 80$ of debt for 1$ of equity for freakin Switzerland !
80 to 1 !
Known why ? Not just because of natural ressources. We have less banksters that the UK, Iceland and USSA.
