Thank you for that link to the usdebtclock website.

Address the debt exposure associated with the credit/derivatives!!!

    600 TRILLION DOLLARS OF DEBT?

    This is NOT “whatever”.

The “credit” and the lack of productivity associated with extension of “credit” is the crux of the matter.

How is it acceptable to have “Rothschild” associates getting TRILLIONS of USD debt as “credit” while the hundreds of millions of citizens in the US are not.

For citizens, it is NOT an IMF issue. It is NOT an issue related to lack of work.

It IS the total misapplication and misappropriation of “CREDIT”.

  3. Steingrimur Steingrimsson

Frans – Of course it is about the people against the parasitic criminal International Banking Cartel in all countries. International banking is the evil power.

“The powers of financial capitalism had another far reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements, arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. The apex of the system was the Bank for International Settlements in Basle, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the worlds’ central banks which were themselves private corporations. The growth of financial capitalism made possible a centralization of world economic control and use of this power for the direct benefit of financiers and the indirect injury of all other economic groups.”Dr. Carroll Quigley, Tragedy and Hope: A H

  6. The funny thing is that most of the (Dutch) people I speak to are telling me that they are against bailing out the (Dutch) people who for an 0.1% additional interest took their money to Icelsave. They took the risk so they have to pay for it,’
I think the problem is that there was no obvious warning about the risk, Even when the Nout Wellink, president of the Dutch state bank knew there were problems with the reliability of Icesave he didn’t take action. (Nout is also Chairman of BIS)

Crimes against the queen’s purse were termed capital offenses. Why don’t you rant some on the privilege afforded your own ‘head-of-state’?

You are reticent about the criminality of the royals. Yet delineating the fractional reserve banking system will leave two choices: anarchy or monarchy.

Are you a Tory in disguise?

And the kind of punishment under the royal purse was heinous and inhumane. We should see a return to these public spectacles as the veil between master and slave becomes transparent.

United Kingdumb is the main hub for banksterism. Why not recycle this great french invention to do some good to England ? Today I really do not see a difference between a guy that robs a liquor store and kills the casher, and a banker. The guillotine is much more spectaculor than the lethal injection that states like Texas uses on a regular base. In Saudi Arabia they use sabres. A little bit messy.

  23. Marc Authier

    @Depression Alert
I have a solution for this type of capital sin. Capital punishment for banksters.
Guillotine would to the trick. It the guillotine was introduced for banksterism, many problems would dissapear almost overnight.

  24. Marc Authier

That’s why greed is a capital sin. Get it ?

  25. Iceland does not want to pay. Sounds good. But like Douglas aka Thunder Preacher , mentioned in his email to Max, than what….. Do the Icelandic people just Get right back to joining the matrix again. Will the Gov’t be hijacked by the money lenders(changers).
Greed will once again take hold on this island, if they do no implement a new system. The Venus Project is one alternative.

Like Albert Einstein said, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results .

  30. @ Douglas AKA

Dude, the only reason Iceland would join the EC is because this avenue of fleecing the sheep didn’t work. Who in their right mind would apply to enter a prison grid?

  31. Hi Max en Stacy,
I heard you talking in your radio show about the e-mail I sent you and would like to add some fuel to the discussion.
Ok, Iceland voted no (in order to protect their wallets, what other result did anyone expect?).So who pays if they do not pay? Me! as a Dutch taxpayer who had nothing to do with it, did not profit in any which way of the global ponzi scheme system.I bail out my fellow Dutch savers who trusted the wrong bank lured by higher interest rates.(What if my 2,45% savings account goes under, then I was suddenly also a speculator because there are lower returning accounts that should have warned me?)Say we, Dutch taxpayers, pay the tab for Iceland’s failure because we are a richer part of the financial world. Fine. Now what is Iceland doing after they are released from this tab? They want to join the ponzi scheme system again via the IMF and EU where they are funded by funds of amongst others the Dutch taxpayers!? Me! Again!?I am sure you are familiar with Richard Heinberg. In his book Powerdown he describes a couple of peakoil ‘solutions’ of which one is Last Man
Standing.I believe we are in the Last Man Standing scenario.Hence if we are going to play it that way worldwide I say screw the Icelandic taxpayer and let them pay up! Somehow. No access to IMF funds and no joining the EU.Fuck, I am going to vote no against Iceland if they want to join ‘our’ community as long as we have this system and pay for it.If the Icelandic people decide they should not join the EU, IMF and ponzi scheme system, then… they have my vote. My point is that the Icelandic people are as much a bunch of headless hypocrites as we, Dutch taxpayers, are, because we cannot come up with a viable alternative for what we have now.Iceland should offer their island to the Venus Project, then we may have something to cheer about. At the point where they want to join the old tax wage slave funded system again they can screw themselves and start whaling for the last whale (where are you on this Max?).Anyone who thinks the Icelandic people voted no
against the bankers should have their heads checked because they voted no simply to protect their wallets… and therefor I am the advocate of the devil here… let them eat fish until there is none, they are going to do it anyway.I am afraid the Dutch have to reinstate one of their old professions again and start pirating the seas again. Let us start to raid Iceland if they do not pay up!So Max, tell me why I have to pay for the Icelanders or how the cretin government in a country of 17 million idiots can be overthrown.I only negotiate with people who are aware that they are kept hostage by a pathological system.Icelanders are still unaware or show me the proof they are not.We are all doomed.Keep it coming!

    Dear Max,

I also thought that the Federal Reserve was buying all these bonds, but I
    guess this is not correct.
Looking a bit closer at the Monetary Base increase of about 1.2 trillion US$
since september 2008 I guess that this move allowed the US banking system
through the fractional reserve banking to increase M3 about 10 times this
amount (they have not maxed this possibility out). So the margin for buying
US treasuries is large enough to buy as I estimate at least 2 trillion in US
Bonds in the last 15 months and do other things, like some “bad-mouthed”
people say, buying each others equity to be able to payout large bonuses
without being intervened by the state.

In general I guess this monetary system has to end up every 50-70 years like
    this, in simplifying terms:

    - As all the money is based on Interest-bearing debt the debt has to
increase all the time either by loaning more money to existing debtors or by
    sucking in new ones.
    - As the consumer and business sector are maxed out (and shrinking due to
defaults) the state has to compensate the missing debt creation, until he
    collapses as well.

I would be interested in your thoughts on this!

    Best Regards.

    Miguel

    Hi Max.

I enjoy watching your informative show “On The Edge†with your co-host lovely Stacey Herbert.

    All the best.

  32. @ Mother Earth

Love your idea for a holiday currency!

All my Greek friends are incensed by the papers and MSM but I’m certain hotel owners would jump on the chance to do more business. The barter system is definitely coming back. One Grand Piano = one potato ;-)

  33. @Stacy

Must be fun to promote..driving around the mediterannian talking to the hotel owners..

  34. @ Dedo

Only a handful bother to find out what governments are up to. U familiar with CAFR?

    http://cafr1.com/

  35. Crumpet Muncher

When there is abundance in production, shortages must be brought about or production destroyed through war. If people have time to sit around and think, they might realise they don’t need their owners any longer.

  36. @Mother – the ‘holiday’ sounds like a good idea for a currency

  37. Out papers say Greece does not need help, nor has it asked for any..

  38. I propose a new currency for the mediteranian, the ‘holiday’. One ‘Holiday’ buys you one unit of ‘stay’ in any mediteranian hotel. Each hotel will have varying rates for one day lodging, which will always be fully inclusive, allowing them to issue the ‘Holidays’ for no more than a season, after carefull rating by visitors.

  39. Al-doomandbloom

only 33% of votes have been counted…i would not celebrate as of now…they have already started talking to UK and dutch…

bankers will find a way to screw the people..just u watch

  40. How many folk know, that Government bodies “invest” monies for the people(tongue in cheek), to make profits off the books using shell companies?

  41. My addition to the sunday video club.. Listen carefully ;-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3as-TlJXSA

  42. yep, and if I was your average Brit, I’d be furious at Alistair Darling for bailing out Mr. & Mrs.Smith who decided to put £4 billion of their savings in a little known bank in a country a 1000 odd km away . Oh, and a likewise wonderful job the UK govt did using anti-terrorist laws to seize Icelandic assets in London……No doubt the Icelandic voters still had this fresh in their minds 16 months later.

  43. California Doctor

    @GGEES -
what about the states and municipal governments in the United States which are losing boats of money on refinancing of the tax burdens?
    Who holds those notes?
I’d rather see these states establish public banks like North Dakota

  44. Good show Iceland.
Now let’s just hope that their government does not do like the US Congress did a year ago, that is listen to the people and vote NO the first time only to be told that they have to vote again and sheepishly voting YES to the bailout the second time.

  45. Matt Cusumano

It appears that the people of Iceland may do the right thing and tell the bankers to SHOVE IT. Why should the citizens of that country be on the hook for Hot-Money deposits, which probably originated as bank credit from another bank, at a lower interest rate anyhow.

It’s the carry trade, and it’s dangerous. If you put your Hot-Money into offshore accounts, in pursuit of higher interest….easy money, guess what….when the ponzi scheme unwinds, you can get burned…….and you deserve it.

  46. To say that “Iceland” put the tab on British and Dutch taxpayers is a nonsense. The individuals who opened high interest rate Icelander accounts should have remembered the old Roman saying Caveat Emptor. Why should Iceland citizens have to pay off private debt is beyond me.

  47. @ Douglas

I live in the UK and NEVER approved the Ice-savers bailout. Nobody asked me.

We must appluad Icelanders for their unwillingness to to be screwed when they can help it. The rest of us don’t stand a chance. Banks and politicians do what they like and we have to swallow the results, read debt.

It’s time to change the system. Have you got any better suggestions?

  48. And trust me Icelands Sh!t is a small amount buddy

  50. Douglas aka Thunder Preacher

This is the same Iceland that still hunts whales, this is the same Iceland whose government failed to control their banks, this is the same Iceland that had joined the punch drunk banksters in their years long shopping spree, this is the same Iceland that thinks that they are ‘better’ than the rest of the world, this is the same Iceland that took advantage of small savers in other countries, it is the same Iceland that let the culprits unharmed and it is the same Iceland that tries to put the tab on the Dutch and British taxpayers including their cheerleaders in this forum who think the Icelanders voted no for other reasons than protecting their wallets!? Now who is still being ignorant? The Icelandic people suck, as much as their government, our governments, their banksters and our banksters. Nothing changes, who are you kidding!?

  51. Yes, a BIG no.
We all saw what that brought the DUtch Irish etc in the EU with the Lisbon treaty.
    They went ahead anyway.
Yes I am dutch and I dislike the ways our politicians act. Why would I have to pay the money that others lost and wait for iceland to repay that?

They want to block Icelands entry to the EU because of the money owed.
(why would you want to be in the EU?)
Iceland WILL soon be in the EU because of the Arctic pie…

  52. Jesus, Marc, calm the fuck down! You should try & read comments the whole way through in future before getting all excited. Maybe you didnt get to my sentence ‘I reckon Iceland is better off outside anyway’.

  53. California Doctor

    @ Y’all -

The United States needs a National Referendum process.

Right now, the idiots on shock radio are trying to cut the California legislature to a part-time situation. We do NOT need a part-time legislature. We need a full-time legislature which cuts the full-time Executive branch and the Judiciary out of control.

  54. Wat happened wat happened did tey Vote it down ????

  55. Marc Authier

    @Biliaboo

Well ? Maybe assasinate the prime minister like they did with Lincoln and Kennedy. Most probable. Send a briefcase of two million euros to each elected member of parliament.

  56. Maximum boost to the toilet paper currency rebellion movement around the world! Respect!

  57. first tiny little Iceland stands up to the monster banksters

time for the rest of the world to join in

time to change the normal flow of history – instead of the World going to war for banksters’ profits – the World must go to war against the banksters –

time for criminals to pay up for their crimes committed against humanity over the past 2 centuries

  58. Marc Authier

Europe has NOTHING to offer to Iceland. Nothing.

  59. this is good news for once – Iceland rejects the banksters’ attempted crimes

    a major historical moment!

question now is – what will the banksters do? how will the criminals respond?

will they retaliate as usual -by sending death and destruction to Iceland? (US military is all over

in the Mid-East so who will the banksters task with their doing their retribution …)

  60. Marc Authier

    @Bondibhoy
You would have to be raving mad to want getting in the Eurozone NOW. Sorry. I don’t think you quite get it here. Europe that holle, has nothing to offer to Iceland, except mor marginalization. Ireland and Greece are paying the price now. Can you tell me ONE big advantage of being part of Europe for Iceland ? The labot market ? Well ? Not really that hot today indeed. The exports markets ? Not that hot either. Stay out of Eurozone by all means. This fuckin place is a eurcrat runned prison. It is.

  61. Think it through!
America, meaning the people herein, cannot do what Icelanders did. The banksters holding that country to ransom were NOT domestic to Iceland. They were foreigners. ANY nation can ban and/or rebuff the untoward advances, dictations or threats of another nation. Short of invasion there nothing the intruding nations (UK & Holland in this case) can do.

The American system is already controlled by our own domestic banking sector. They and their cartel umbrella, the Fed, own the paper on everything we bought but cannot now pay for. Their enforcement arm is our own courts. For forthcoming decades those courts will be choked with bankers/creditors pursuing their contractual rights to seize collateral while moss grows and tumble-weeds blow through courtrooms where criminal prosecutions for financial fraud might have been pursued.

America is already owned. Each state is already bankrupt. Their national guards are already under Federal control. As unspeakable consumer debt levels hoovers up every last paper dollar, adding unto all the bailout money already in the vaults of the chosen survivor banks, the switch-over to cashless, debit-card-only life will be complete.

God help if you shoot off your mouth then–off goes your card, never mind what your balance was.

Next step which is happeing now is the usa media conglomorate is spewing lies and false data that things are starting to recover. Or course they are not. But the ploy is try and keep the sheeple in thier pens.

Best thing is a the big collapse does hit to get the now woken up masses to storm wall street and washinton and not only kick them out but try them for high treason. But that very probably won’t happen. The govenrmenht owned by the banksters and wallstreet will make sure its a gradual and quiet raping of the american people so they don’t rebel.

Now we see in the next year what happens. One way or another its not gonna be good. But some honesty to the situation would help alot.

Talking bout class war in a round about way
When the middle classes disconnect themselves from the ruling class
And side with the demos, game on. But what about the state, in between, the Icelandic state wants to pay,The British state wants to pay, the Irish state wants to pay, the Greek state wants to pay.
    Hey, what do you say?

  80. Youri Carma

The popularity of Wilders, who compares Islam to fascism and the Koran to Adolf Hitler’s book Mein Kampf, has dented the image of the Netherlands as a country that has often portrayed itself in the past as a bastion of tolerance.

“The leftist elite still believes in multi-culturalism, coddling criminals, a European super-state and high taxes,” Wilders told cheering supporters at a rally in Almere after polling ended on Wednesday. “But the rest of the Netherlands thinks differently. That silent majority now has a voice.”

  83. My sincerest congratulations to the Icelanders. They won the first battle, best of luck to them winning the war.

  84. “The earliest date given for a Viking raid is 787 AD when, according to the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, a group of men from Norway sailed to Portland, in Dorset. There, they were mistaken for merchants by a royal official. They murdered him when he tried to get them to accompany him to the king’s manor to pay a trading tax on their goods.”

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viking_Age

  85. I agree with Max. When the depositors sought higher returns, they were taking a risk. Why should the citizens of Iceland back up that deal? The citizens of Iceland did not stand to reap any rewards from the private party transactions and so should not bear any of the risks.

In the US, citizens gave a resounding NO to bailing out the banks. Unfortunately, the citizens of the US did not have someone in government like Grissom to stand with them. Our government chose to stand with the likes of Paulson, Geightner, Bernanke, Goldman Sacks, JP Morgan and the rest of the white shoe gang.

It takes a Viking to show the finger to godamn bastards bankers.

  90. Marc Authier

I would offer paying the debt on 100 years at the interest of 0,5%, That’s about the same rate as the godamn sun of bitches from the City pay to the godamnd nazi Bank of England. 0,5% per year and 100 years long term loan. Why should the mother fuckers from the City get more ? Screw you you fuckin City bloodsucking pieces of shit. 93% is quite a clear message to british and netherlands pirate banksters.

  91. Marc Authier

    @jon
    It’s a really easy removing a politician.

  92. WOOHOOOO, CONGRATULATION ICELAND :)

Iceland rejects plan to repay Icesave debts
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8553979.stm

“Voters in Iceland have overwhelmingly rejected proposals to pay the UK and the Netherlands in the wake of collapse of the Icesave bank.”
“With a third of results counted, 93% of voters said “No” in a referendum.”

still . . . “Iceland’s prime minister says her government will remain in office and continue to seek a deal.”
It’s sad that the government refuses to be guided by the people…modern day democracy?

  93. The usa should give iceland billions of dollars of aid because theres got to be oil somewhere within 10,000 miles of iceland.

  94. How much referendums will it take?

  95. The secret to the banksters success. “They own and control the politicans and media.”

mY guess is the banksters must have figured out that getting control of the politicans and media you control any country. Nice to have insider politicans set up your country for raping. Then have the big media come up with excuses on why the people owe the money. NIce gig.

  96. “Frack” the london banksters.

  97. This banking cartel is still the POWER in control today. I ask, “how can they be overthrown”?. This group ARE the enslavers of the people, … WHERE IS SPARTACUS????

  98. I know I am off topic, but I would like you or Max to comment on this guy at zerohedge who just wrote a piece about how dangerous government-run health care is.
    http://www.zerohedge.com/article/government-run-health-care-kills-thousands
I have been living in the US for 4 years and I come from north-east Italy and I still miss so much my state run health care!
    Thank you very much!

  99. for nothing. this iceland debt would plug the hole for 2 more weeks. really a joke. nobody’s getting paid. this debt is bazzaro.

  100. The Federal Reserve is not audited. The fed is City of London operation.
The Central banks of the world are like Trojan horse to undermine the sovereign states of the world and the common man.

  101. beautiful beautiful people. now they’ll break them. :-(

  102. Icesave is as mush about the USA bailout. It is about real democracy. Icelanders say no to the Banksters. So should the people of other nations also do! No to becoming a debt slave of The international Banking Cartel. Rise up people of the world. Become wise.

  103. 93% Said NO

REYKJAVIK, Iceland – Iceland’s voters on Saturday resoundingly rejected a $5.3 billion plan to pay off Britain and the Netherlands for debts spawned by the collapse of an Icelandic Internet bank, according to initial results.

Results returned from around 74,150 ballots counted so far in a country of about 320,000 showed that 93 percent of voters said “no” in the referendum, compared to just 1.6 percent who said “yes.”
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100306/ap_on_bi_ge/eu_iceland_financial_crisis_14

  104. first reports say about 93% no. go Icelanders!

I bet the next deal will be forced trough without a referendum. probably with the excuse that it costs too much to have democracy.

  105. Latest results, 93% NO, about 1.6% YES! This is a HUGE victory for the public all over the western world (or the whole world). Let’s hope it’s just the first and that we can get the momentum in our countries to strike back against the financial terrorists!

This is EXACTLY what they are afraid of in the UK, like the FT article said, and all across Europe, the US and the rest of the world: that we the people have finally had enough :>.
    This is a great day!

If ICELANDERS won’t take it, why the hell do we have to?!?!?!

  106. City of London is sovereign state. Because they need to have tailored laws for criminal activity. City of London is the center of world finance.

  107. Sacramento Joe

This issue and story is largely off the radar here……it is SO important and I bet 1 in 100,000 even know of this referendum in the US. For once we have a day where the score is Workers-1 Speculators-0.

    :)

    RISE UP!!!

  108. The icesave case is above money. It is about right and wrong. It is simply wrong to let ordinary people pay for company that did take loan in another countries to do business in those countries.

Fyrst numbers is that 93% voted no! Congratulation ordinary people of the world who deny to be fooled by and to pay for the parasitic, criminal “International banking cartel”

This is a revolutionary move by the Icelandic people!

  109. Way to go Iceland!!! The first country that officially told the banksters to fuck off.

these peasants are confused. why are they voting no? do they not understand that they will be bailed out, even like the confused irish they need to vote twice. in return all we are getting for helping these terrorists become europeans is their fish and some arctic land nobody lives on.
    whats their problem?

  119. The Icelanders say NO.. government will say YES.. people will emigrate and Iceland will become a colony for the those nations that want to exploit resources.

That is how this will play out

  120. Its going to be a no vote for sure. Since the leaders of the current government have shunned the referendum giving out signals for there supporters to stay at home. There is nothing remotely exiting about this vote except for maybe how many actually go out.

  121. There are two ways one can look at this referendum.

The first one (the way politicians will view it as) is that this referendum is only an opinion poll on whether or not this specific payback plan is acceptable or not. As you all know, renegotiations are still continuing and better deals than the one Iceland now are voting on have been proposed. If Iceland votes no to this deal the politicians will work on a new better one and continue on and on until an agreement with the British and the Dutch has met. All this in other words, the referendum doesn’t mean a shit.

The other one (that politicians will kindly ignore) is that this referendum is something much more than just a vote on a payback plan but a vote on whether or not to repeal the whole IceSave deal and law. (I’m with this group by the way).

You see, Iceland did agree to pay back the IceSave money. It happened in August 2009, approved by the Parliament and signed into law by the President. The flaw was that Britain and Nederland did not accept the terms in the deal and hens the prolonged and continuing renegotiations. Iceland need to repeal the original IceSave law that was approved – this referendum should signal that to the government, let’s see if they do take the hint.

(I wrote the wrong Mail address and got moderated… hope the first comment doesn’t come back to haunt me with a double post)

  122. Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, the president of Iceland did lunch á war of the common the people of the world against the International Banking Cartel today. And he is leading the way towards improved democracy and decentralization of power. What a man!
