That was certainly the funniest show ever!
Evolution does seem to need a new trick and it’s nice to hear someone keeping a good attitude while staring into the eyes of the beast. I think Alex Jones and friends have forgotten how to laugh at themselves. I wouldn’t want to be near that type in a crisis.
How can you see all the holes in our financial system and miss all the holes in religion? I say we all have a nice vacation on the coast of Eritrea and try to find our evolution.
I can sum up my ‘constructive’ criticism best in this sentence: Even
I, a pothead, wasn’t able to follow the latest train of thought. Then
the movie industry isn’t doing that bad/Internet isn’t bringing
everything back to 0; for example avatar, the upcoming future madness,
online marketing etc. or the concert ticket prices have risen sharply
which increase revenue (because people always like to go ‘out’) beside
the much more important part of real CHOICE and competition people who
never would be able to get exposure now can share their
art/movies/music. The whole eugenics part; of new species or psychic
powers etc. All I want to know; What do you smoke?… maybe just stick
to finance/politics or do some more research before making claims.
Hope you can get back at the excellent level of the other recent
episodes… Keep up the great work!
p.s. I just wanted to thank all the people that post links here. I don’t have the patience or resources to read through all the crap out there to find the few real pieces of news that always seem to be talked about on this site.
I wouldn’t worry about big brother as I think he’s going to have more on his hands than he can deal with soon. Most of the idiocracy will be begging to get into the concentration camps as they will promise free soda and McSquid sandwiches.
This squid in the photo is now on display in Te Papa Museum Wellington, NZ. Nu burgers will be made from this one. We have one of the worlds best experts on squid here – so we might just be farming them in the future for squid burgers.
I bet 50 bucks no

The head of the football team – the coach – makes $1 million. For coaching a college football team.
The “intercollegiate (sports) director makes $600,000.
The President of the University is just $50 large shy of a half-million.
A large number of Deans and Professors make $250,000 – or more.
Indeed, I have to get eight pages into this list before I drop below $200,000.
Oh, we also have two Lieutenants in the Police Department that make $192,545 – each – per year. Handing out tickets to scooter riders without helmets and issuing University Parking Citations (probably more than $200,000 worth of those) I’m sure.
O and on software; opensource revolution provides much higher service
for users so quality increases beside who wants to let microsoft and
intel etc. keep their monopoly position with crappy programs/hardware:
they even got fined many times to rest my case; have you ever used
microsoft without crashing/having problems etc? Would take me hours to
comment on even broader subjects where there are grey areas like
global warming, so i won’t flood you with e mails only would also sent
research links/papers etc.
Just the part of the internet was way off target, i thought you
supported freedom of the internet with piratemyfilm all your shows are
free etc.
MK: yea, I have been saying exactly that for 8 years. Your point?
In the upcoming MMORPG Black Prophecy, “mankind has expanded across the galaxy, yet only few of its colonies are controlled by Humans. The true rulers are the cybernetically enhanced Tyi and the biogenetically perfected Genides.”
Currencies will be backed by commodities. Given that the international reserve, the USD, has been effectively based on oil for decades, it may be energy related. Yet another area in which Technocracy, Inc., was ahead of the curve. (I mostly just disagree with the idea they should expire.) Or it could be ETF’s. It may just depend on the country.
By the way – we are interviewing David McWilliams for next week’s Thursday episode of Keiser Report! So thanks all for writing to him and encouraging him to come on as a guest.
Squid is already part of the dietary pyramid in China. Literally. You see pictures of them on diagrams of just that on the paper placed on plastic trays at fast food shops. They sell squid on a stick on the streets in China..
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the seed scam running up here soon
as to me adopting you…could you kindly take the quiz….so I can properly evaluate your proper potential…for lonniness…sorry but you in the past have shown to much of a rational individualism to join my brood of future Manson children

As Homo sapiens is Latin for “wise man” or “knowing man” according to Wiki. The next evolutionary name could be Homor Simplison, Latin for “we don’t know, nobody knows Latin anymore”.
But if the evolution goes cyber then the natural name would be Sōma Avatarius.
Good conversation, I enjoyed the show
There are atomic computers so I give a doubtful maybe on that one but if anyone really thinks we might encourage another planet to sustain life any time soon I really want some of that crack your smoking. We are killing this one and it seems to like us.
i think any new evolution will come form india or asia. they have uncontrolled breeding there. more chance for a positive mutation than africa or china.

around without getting hit by the blue blocks or touching the black walls.
If you can go longer than 18 seconds you are phenomenal. It’s been said that the US Air Force uses this for fighter pilots. They are expected to go for at least 2 minutes.
As always I appreciate and enjoy listening/ watching your shows.
However, what kind of BULLSHIT explanation are you pushing? Because it’s not fiat currency- it’s barter? Pull your head out of your ass. A medium of intermediate exchange IS money. (Maybe you should be pushing the explaination that gold and silver is REAL money)
Inflation is inextricably tied to the money supply. Since fiat currencies are expanding things are going to cost more.
Here’s my inflation/deflation unified theory:
If you’re savings are in gold, everything will be getting cheaper for you-Deflation.
If you’re savings are in fiat currency, everything is getting more expensive-Inflation
Great shows. I’m educated about the racketeering conspiracies of the
financial terrorists, but what can be done? Voting doesn’t help; both
parties in the U.S. are bogus…politicians are simply bought and paid for
with OUR money. So what (if anything, short of armed insurgency in the U.S.)
can help?
caught Soros on NPR today (can’t post that link surprisingly NPR is blocked on my work computer) Soros owned up to his run on Sterling in 92 should never have been allowed if the regulators were doing their jobs right…wonder how he feels about the monkey shines his Hedge fund was doing last week to the Euro?
I ‘predicted’ we could see a push out of Africa. Africans aren’t all that wretched anymore these days, but they sure know how to survive..I think however that states like Nigeria may be thrown into civil war, not difficult with such incoherence, muslims, christians ,farmers, fisherman, different tribes…
When Burton and Speke travelled through rwanda in search of the source of the Nile around the 1800s they gave one of the tribe leaders they met a rifle as a gift. With them both present the leader ordered one of his man to stand a few yards away and then he tried the rifle. He shot several subordinates..
@Stacy
I’d not say we will see a new species out of africa, although people there are ‘well tested’. I think one way african individuals have a huge advantage is that they have seen many more pathogen than any western person. Immunity against certian viri has always had the potential to change the course of evolution..I think that puts poorer countries at an advantage..
Sprott Asset management says gold likely to rise by 30% this year:
“I don’t know whether it will come to fruition, but on March 25th the CFTC is going to be investigating position limits in gold and silver on the COMEX. And if they ever put any teeth into those things and kept these bullion banks from what they’re doing on the short side with their large positions, I think that could have a salutary impact on gold and silver prices.
They’re finally going to have to address this because there’s been so many complaints about the bizarre price action on the COMEX in both gold and silver.”
Europe eyes ban on CDS contracts used against Greece:
“Whether CDS swaps make much difference is questionable. The contracts are traded between banks or funds. They have little impact on the underlying debt, except to create mood music in the markets…If the crisis can be blamed on funds, EU can side-step the ‘no bail-out’ article in the Lisbon Treaty and instead invoke a clause permitting help for states in distress for reasons beyond their control. Mrs Merkel has been constrained from any Greek rescue so far by Germany’s constitutional court, which has taken a strict line on EU treaty law. ” http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/financetopics/financialcrisis/7408137/Europe-eyes-ban-on-CDS-contracts-used-against-Greece.html

PS. I ,love the ads… just like I love the hardcore AJ fans… they tickle and amuse me in ways I never thought possible at this stage of my life… who needs happy pills, alcohol or lint loaded bongs when you’ve got maxkeiser.com Y’ALL!!!
Phil/G, you are right.
I believe the only way forward is localism: transition town initiatives working together to provide food security, energy independence and even alternate currencies/barter supply. This is well advanced where I live. In a time of fear something wonderful is happening!
Gree! They talk a lot about controlling this and that but little happens. When there is a new law in the U.S. it gets watered down completely under Wall Street pressure and lobbyists so that in fact no fundamental changes are made.
It’s nice to have headlines like “Geithner or Bernanke grilled” in congress but in reality they still don’t pay their taxes and just move on like usual and laugh at the people and congress.
So at the end of the day it’s business as usual and it all turned out to be a big show because there are no actual consequences or measures taken.
BTW , if true, then holding Gold is the only answer .
.
.
@pagarongs … Barter : “something wonderful is happening!”
Absolutely … stop using Govt. paper and set up your own local currency system.
A private Barter system was set up in the UK “many” years ago … before those recent local currency moves.
I wondered about this, because of course you automatically cut out the Govt. from their “Pound of Flesh” … and was surprised .. but pleased … that it wasn’t banned !
.
.
@Youri … Yes, all these “suits” belong to the Establishment … so do NOT expect anything to change !
Hey Stacy ? Sounding quite social darwinian this morning ? It’s just an hypothesis. You haven’t thought about inercourse between the different homos ? or good old starvation or a virus. This hypothesis à la Hitler of a wipe out and genocide berween different species is just a hypothesis. No proof. In reality it’s probably the climatic fluctuations that killed the other species. Homo sapiens was more versatile. He ate meat, but mostly he ate a lot of fish. And fish makes miracles with the development of the brain. Let’s say the Nehenderthals ate at Mc Donalds. Most probably because of the food and the climate Stacy. Homo Sapiens was a fish eater first.
@Youri Carma – I enjoyed those AJ segments. Max avoiding saying anything controversial about Global Warming, AJ avoiding the subject of scapegoating gays. Classic show that one.
I agree, don’t like Maxs inflation/deflation grand unified theory, seems like a hedge based on your derivative definition of deflation/inflation. noncommittal
Didn’t Bill Clinton once say.. (put your upper teeth over your bottom lip then read)
“I did not have deflationary relations with that market”
Bundesbank President Weber has been the most candid to date about what the ECB could do in case Greece is downgraded again, especially by Moody’s. Recall the problem: Prior to the crisis, the ECB would take as collateral only paper rated A- or better. During the crisis they have extended it to BBB-. It is due to revert back at the end of the year. Fitch and S&P rates Greece below A-, leaving only Moody’s above the normal threshold.
The ECB seems to loathe to postpone the return to normalcy again. And yet as Austrian central banker Notwotny pointed out earlier this week, it seems unfair and untenable that a single rating agency determines whether a sovereign has access to the ECB’s lending facilities.
A solution, Weber suggests, could be that the ECB accepts the lower quality of collateral in exchange for a larger discount–or what the market calls a haircut. There is precedent. For example, some non-sovereign securities used as collateral are given a 20% haircut.
Weber acknowledges this is not the only solution, suggesting that this is a dynamic situation and the ECB has not made any hard and fast decisions. At the same time, it indicates that although many ECB members, like Weber himself, are insisting on a narrow construction of the Maastricht and Lisbon Treaties, it is not above using monetary operations to assist fiscal objectives.
For example, some of the 12-month money the ECB provided at 1% appears to have been used in part to finance the purchases of European sovereign debt. Indirectly, but no less significantly, the ECB helped support the weaker credits in Europe. On July 1st the ECB’s 12-month massive 442 bln euro provision expires. The ECB will seek to smooth this out by offering 6 month funds at the end of March and then a special tender at the end of June. Meanwhile, reports suggest that Greece has made an early preliminary report to the EU (due March 16th) that claims that it is ahead of schedule in implementing its austerity measures. It is said to acknowledge that, as we pointed out, Greece’s 2009 GDP was revised lower and that this lowers the 2010 base. Accounts also suggest that report notes that civil servant wage cuts will will crimp consumption. This is one of the ironies. Efforts to address the structural deficit risks adding to the cyclical deficit.
The markets have responded favorably to these developments and Greek bonds and the other weaker credits in the euro zone have rallied. Ten year yields are off 2-4 bp and credit default swap prices have eased. Note that current market conditions appear favorable for new issuance and there is already talk that Greece could come back to the market as early as next week to raise more funds. Last week’s bond sale and the next ones, are part of the official effort to pre-fund a good part of the more than 20 bln euros in maturity and coupon payments due in the April and May period.
The euro has also moved higher on the news. Resistance at yesterday’s high near $1.3635 needs to be overcome to spur a retest of the week’s high near $1.3705. While many would like to see a near-term euro bounce to sell into, the shallowness of the upticks, given the more positive developments in Greece, over the past week disappoints.
@chArles
I think now would be a really good time for you to raise a new Manson brood, I’d suggest getting them into politics as soon as they are old enough… remember one the most important traits of Charles Manson and his followers was the ability to foster complete and unswerving loyalty in others… also lots of americans are already looking for the next charismatic leader to put into the whitehouse… but you don’t have to worry if none of your brood get as far as the whitehouse, because let’s face it nowadays the man in the street and even the average maxkeiser regular is far more concerned with inflation and climate change, than the prospect of some kinda Manson revival roaming america murdering young girls!!!
The next species will be known as homocrumpticus. This new species will be more intelligent and attractive than any species before it. I’m working overtime to populate the earth with this new superhuman species.

Crikey, what a link!
“In Beijing’s calculation, giving Zheng the capital penalty should help ease growing public anger over medical care in particular and over official corruption in general. Medical care, education and housing have been identified as three major sources of growing public anger in China nowadays. Easing public discontent is in line with President Hu Jintao’s call for building a “harmonious society”.
One reason for Chinese people to get angry over medical care is the soaring expense. And a major reason for soaring medical care expanse is that the prices of drugs are skyrocketing. And it is the SFDA that licenses the marketing of drugs and supervises pricing. According to Chinese media reports, Zheng took bribes from drug makers to allow them to set high prices to make staggering profits. As a result, drugs sell at prices tens of times as high as their production costs.
Moreover, people become increasingly angry over lack of government supervision on drugs and foodstuffs. Scandals have been exposed in recent years about shabby-quality and even fake drugs and foodstuffs circulating in markets in large quantities, threatening people’s health and lives. During Zheng’s tenure, dozens died in the country from fake or inferior-quality drugs or foodstuffs.”
Max and Stacey I would recommend that you specialise in the analysis of financial and political financial affairs to ensure your survival in the Internet ecosystem – specialisation is the best adaption in a stable environment although being flexible in a system of flux is more successful.
In such a envoirment humanity’s understanding of evolution would suffer a fatal blow however so I Implore you to be altruistic and refrain from furthering commenting about Darwinian evolution
Wall Street firms have received fees exceeding $1 billion in less than a year selling “Build America Bonds” meant to spur jobs in struggling cities, often charging municipalities higher costs than for traditional bond deals.
These new bonds were rolled out in April 2009 under President Obama’s economic stimulus plan to create jobs building roads, schools and hospitals. Unlike conventional municipal debt, the new bonds are taxable and generally carry higher interest rates
“Why did MPs and Congressmen support a policy (the bailouts) that their constituents disliked? Partly because of the “Something Must Be Done” fallacy: the baleful modern notion that the government’s response to a crisis must be proportionate to the degree of media anxiety rather than the scale of the problem. Mainly, though, because ministers allowed their policy on banking to be determined by bankers…we are in the world… of back-room deals, of ententes between big government and big corporations, of conspiracies against the public weal hatched in the name of necessity.
Max and Stacey are bringing us the best guests from the financial and journalistic worldand it would be fantastic to include someone from the political sphere….bring on Dan Hannan”
“@Phil/Germany to @pagarongs … use TINYURL.com … always gets passed by the antispam system.”
That’s why URL-shorter should be banned in public forum/board/comment sections, you never know what you get when clicking short URL’s. It took some time for people to learn not to click on links in E-mails, this short URL is the same thing. Don’t click it and don’t use it. Well, that’s my opinion at least.
“As a history buff, I recently started to re-read a book of essays from Zapatista leader Subcomandante Marcos that I read more than 8 years ago. I was struck by the prescience of Subcomandante’s essays. Even when he seemed to offer no predictions for the future, more than a decade later, many of his arguments, though he offered them with Mexico in mind, remain remarkably applicable to the state of the Western financial world today. His following essay, “The Fourth World War Has Begun” originally appeared in Le Monde Diplomatique in September of 1997. It is a critically important essay because 12 years later, the intimate link that Marcos speaks of between globalization and the fraud of our global banking system has now in 2010, washed upon our shores.”
Well that sure stirred up a hornets nest, guess you know who has a sense of humor now. No more fun you guys, back to your desks, we have a revolution to start even if that is playing right into the banksters hands.
But revolution is in their plan…
“At this point, the IMF drags the gasping nation to Step Three: Market-Based Pricing, a fancy term for raising prices on food, water and cooking gas. This leads, predictably, to Step-Three-and-a-Half: what Stiglitz calls, “The IMF riot.”
The IMF riot is painfully predictable. When a nation is, “down and out, [the IMF] takes advantage and squeezes the last pound of blood out of them. They turn up the heat until, finally, the whole cauldron blows up,” as when the IMF eliminated food and fuel subsidies for the poor in Indonesia in 1998. Indonesia exploded into riots, but there are other examples – the Bolivian riots over water prices last year and this February, the riots in Ecuador over the rise in cooking gas prices imposed by the World Bank. You’d almost get the impression that the riot is written into the plan.
And it is…The IMF riots (and by riots I mean peaceful demonstrations dispersed by bullets, tanks and teargas) cause new panicked flights of capital and government bankruptcies. This economic arson has it’s bright side – for foreign corporations, who can then pick off remaining assets, such as the odd mining concession or port, at fire sale prices.” http://www.gregpalast.com/the-globalizer-who-came-in-from-the-cold/
That’s why we have to have other localised survival initiatives such as Transition Towns…
The revolution ? Want a really revolutionnary act ? Wittout bombs ? Make a referendum like in Iceland and tell to the banksters: “Eat you own speculative vomit your criminal orgy goers.” Now that’s the real revolution indeed. Go tell Goldman Sachs eat their own vomit. It doesn’t take guns. It takes only a referendum. The voting booth is mighthier than the Pentagon. The real revolution will come from the voting booth and the referendum.
Marc, you are right but I live in the UK which has been sold to Brussels without a referendum IN SPITE OF A PROMISE by all parties that we would be granted one.
Some countries did have referendums – France, Ireland, Holland. All populations said no. All were ignored by the political elite.
March on Parliament? Millions marched against the Iraq war. Ignored. A million and a half marched against the ban on foxhunting. Ignored. We have to have an alternative; a peaceful one. We have to starve the beast.
@popoo – ‘uneducated’ is the wrong word, you mean to use ‘misinformed’ or ‘ignorant;’ nevertheless, my understanding is that it is you that is wrong; there were three, possibly four species of hominids living on earth at the same time at one point: Homo sapien, Home erectus, Homo neanderthalensis, and possibly, Homo floresiensis
Just re-reading Stiglitz’s “IMF 4 steps to damnation” and he says that one solution would be “radical land reform: an attack on the 50% crop rents charged by the propertied oligarchies worldwide”.
This reminds me of work done by I think a Chilean economist who based his idea on land ownership by the people. I cant remember his name; any ideas?
My son had trouble finishing high school due to ADD. The psychologist that helped us out, who also had an ADD offspring, had an interesting theory. He claimed that ADD folk are wired differently and may be an alternate species. i.e. An off shoot that is different than “normal”, another branch. Son is now a licensed plumber, he flunked math in high school but got straight A’s in all the plumbing courses including the math. Go figure.
The thing that bothers me is the high ratio of autistic births (1 in 100) if that keeps growing we are in trouble as a species.
The Temple Hill Association in New Windsor, NY holds an annual dinner in honor of the Ides of March because it is also the day that General George Washington quelled a mutiny of his Officers in 1783.
- just listened to NZ TTAM and felt I must email you. You seem to wobble between ‘believing in’ inflation and deflation depending on which way the wind blows and who the guest is (fair enough btw!)
You are right to iterate both views but a dogmatic view either way is COMICALLY DUMB
The reason why this is so stupid is very simple – because people who believe in ‘inflation’ often don’t point out that they actually believe in hyperinflation – not inflation. Neither deflation or inflation have any relationship at all to hyperinflation. Totally independent beast purely relying on a change in perception, not economic conditions themselves. Pls correct!
If you believe that we wont have hyperinflation then you need a lesson in monetary history. It is GUARANTEED. Simply reflects a loss of confidence in paper by the useless eaters. Just a question of timing.
Those who brandish the deflationary stick as an all-encompassing argument miss the FACTS of irredeemable paper – we will drop it like a hot potato in ‘deflationary’ conditions as much as in inflation – hence why we will very likely have simultaneous deflation in asset prices and inflation/hyperinflation in tangibles – food, gold and silver especially. If you see house prices and equities collapsing and the govt ‘bailing out’ further trillions in paper/electronic credit this is as likely to cause a loss of confidence in paper as rising prices would….hence why that is called a hyperinflationary depression
On a related matter, do either of you think food riots in India and Corn Tortilla prices up 40% in 2010 in mexico reflect deflationary conditions>?
Sorry to rant but just occasionally you need correcting (not often I must admit)!!
Btw keep reminding people about the word KAKISTOCRACY – people love it whenever I bring it up
Still looking forward to giving you both lunch when you are next in London
Changes are afoot. Turkey refuses to let Israel do Nato exercises. France sells 4 ships to Russia. US sides with Argentina against Britain on Falklands issue? US uses Toyota problems to pressure Japan after Japan says it wants US troops out. And now Foxx airs Israeli murder of US sailors back in 1969 with permission of LBJ? Have the oligarchs begun squabbling among themselves?

March 10 (Bloomberg) — The worst of Greece’s financial crisis is over and other European nations won’t follow in its path, said former European Commission President Romano Prodi.
“For Greece, the problem is completely over,” sid Prodi, who was also Italian prime minister, in an interview in Shanghai today. “I don’t see any other case now in Europe. I don’t think there is any reason to think the euro system will collapse or will suffer greatly because of Greece.”
African driven evolution may be threatened by the rest of us stealing their land and driving them into starvation:
” foreign companies are arriving in large numbers, depriving people of land they have used for centuries. There is no consultation with the indigenous population. The deals are done secretly. The only thing the local people see is people coming with lots of tractors to invade their lands.
“All the land round my family village of Illia has been taken over and is being cleared. People now have to work for an Indian company. Their land has been compulsorily taken and they have been given no compensation. People cannot believe what is happening. Thousands of people will be affected and people will go hungry…Leading the rush are international agribusinesses, investment banks, hedge funds, commodity traders, sovereign wealth funds as well as UK pension funds, foundations and individuals attracted by some of the world’s cheapest land.
Together they are scouring Sudan, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, Malawi, Ethiopia, Congo, Zambia, Uganda, Madagascar, Zimbabwe, Mali, Sierra Leone, Ghana and elsewhere…Land to grow biofuel crops is also in demand. European biofuel companies have acquired or requested about 3.9m hectares in Africa. This has led to displacement of people, lack of consultation and compensation, broken promises about wages and job opportunities” http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2010/mar/07/food-water-africa-land-grab

Stopping all these crazy injections will do wonders to the human species. We don’t need them. In America they are especially crazy with it. How many injections in the first years… 16 Injections I heard. That’s just ludicrous. Wise up.
Wow popoopsy, you are kind of a jerk. Name calling doesn’t really bother me but getting personal does. I was just feeling a little down about all this and decided that charging the White House probably wouldn’t help.
The banksters are really trying to provoke social unrest. Getting all upset surely can’t help. I think of it as a challenge and this is the only site I’ve seen that could put up a fight. Could be fun!
Don’t pick on our Stacy. Don’t be a shmuck. We love Stacy. We love Max. We will shit on you, poopoo head. We will hurl faeces at you like crazed apes. We will spray stink on you like enraged cats. Alan Greenspan wasn’t a trained engineer, thats why Chinas’ leaders are better at economic policy. Most of the communist higher ups are engineers. They value people who know how to build things, create value, rather than speculate.
Why not borrow Humphry Fortescue Osmond’s term:
Homo Psychedelicus.
Psychedelic means, literally: “mind-manifesting”.
What better sobriquet for the new super-sentient

Cursors are only the beginning- the connotations

Okay, the more I thought about it the more I realize how vile and hateful Max and Stacy have become. Never missing a chance to demonize the overweight people who in their opinion are destroying the world, using more than their fair share of the worlds energy and causing global warming through their ravenous appetite for meat. When speaking of these “fat” people their voices take on the tone of Hitler speaking of the Jews. Tell me Max how many airline flights have you taken in your life. I think the greenhouse gases your minimal bulk has produced in hauling your hateful ass all over the world is a hell of a lot less than what I caused eating BK Whoppers instead of soy glop. How about those paragons of fitness Nordic skiers, while they’re training 20km a day they take in 4-5 k calories just to keep up their energy and they train year round. Is that a valuable need for all that energy wasted, just think, more food intake more CO2 expelled, double the harm to planet earth. Since you have a world stage you use weekly to spew your vitriolic hate at anybody you deem as a burden of planet earth and I am a member of that overweight “burden”, I would like to respond to your constant diatribe.
I am tired of being lectured by some spindly shit tossing spider monkey in a suit and his hideous mutant stick-insect girlfriend about how he’s saving the earth and I’m destroying it. Save some of that energy and quit flapping your gums. If your brain didn’t have to work forming those hateful thoughts into a weekly geyser of loathsome vitriol, the energy saved could go toward a few cheeseburgers for you two.
What do fat people, tasmanian devils and some homo-freakus african evolution have to do with “The Truth About Markets”, sounds more like a Hunter S Thompson or William Burroughs script.
@stacyherbert, Perhaps this makes 4. When I took Anthropology, this was referred to as Homo Gigantopithecus.
‘Gigantopithecus (from the Greek gigas – γίγας “giant”, and pithecus – πίθηκος “ape”) is an extinct genus of ape that existed from roughly one million years to as recently as three-hundred thousand years ago,[1] in what is now China, India, and Vietnam, placing Gigantopithecus in the same time frame and geographical location as several hominin species.’
@maxkeiser, But isn’t a currency easier to maintain than cross-rating? With the crossing rating, it’s (x through z) times (x+1 through z). With a currency, you just need the currency rating for (x though z).
@stacyherbert, I just remember my anthropology professor speculating that h.s.s. had something to do with the extinction of h.g. Maybe our ancestors did the big guys in. That, or they became Yeti.
@The Man from Glad – many anthropologists think that homo sapiens caused extinction of neanderthal and erectus as both species disappeared relatively soon after homo sapiens entered the regions they inhabited; previously they thought it was sapiens actually killing these other species, but the most recent stuff I have seen is that it is that erectus and neanderthal had high energy requirements and only ate meat; so when superior hunter came along, homo sapien, they also wiped out many species of animals and this may have led to extinction of these other homonids; but this is just from what I have read and the documentaries I have watched . . .
@maxkeiser, A cross listing would require exponentially more listings than a currency. To the power of 2 listings. Considering how many commodities there are, that’s a lot of extra listings. n listings for a currency, for n commodities. n squared lsitings for a cross listing.
@stacyherbert, Perhaps one of the now extinct homo sapiens had a symbiotic relationship with marsupials. There were formerly far more widespread, but gradually displaced, in most of the world, by mammals with better teeth.
Homo sapiens sapiens and cro-magnon are the same; Cro magnon is no longer used as it is now recognized as being just early modern humans http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cro_magnon
Homo sapiens and homo neanderthalensis evolved from a common ancestor; but the classification Homo sapiens neanderthalensis is no longer commonly used as scientists no longer believe neanderthals are a subspecies of sapiens
When I studied Historical Linguistics, we were taught there were Uralic and Altaic groups within the Uralic-Altaic family of languages. Now it depends on who you listen to. Some texts still teach the combined family, other they are distinct families. Depends on which linguists you listen to.
Some texts teach there is a Uralic-Altaic family of languages. Some teach there are distinct Uralic and Altaic families. Depends on which linguists you listen to.
@pohdinpa, I hate soy and airplanes too. I don’t think they hate you for loving fast food; they just hate the idea of it. Sometimes you just go with your heart and do what you want and I think that is great.
I live in a very remote area and I have to fly. Most of my things are brought to me airmail at no extra cost than most pay for snail mail. If I want organic produce I get it air mail and most of the hippies around here do the same and are so self righteous it makes me want to puke. I’m trying not to judge but love to question.
The Bugs Bunny cartoon where Bugs plays the gay hairdresser/manicurist is not with the Tasmanian Devil it’s with the big ginger monster with the bowling shoes http://lauriekendrick.files.wordpress.com/2007/11/gossamer1.jpg I think it’s name is Gossamer.
@Sam
No Sam. I truly believe they hate the people more than the idea. How many times have they said “fat ignorant Americans” in their shows, occasionally it’s fat stupid Brits, never “evil fast food companies”. Are there no fat people in Europe, Asia, South America. I think there is more meat consumed per person in Argentina and a few other countries than the US. How about evil carnivorous Argentinians destroying the planet, I guess that doesn’t make as good a sound bite as Americans or Brits.
They believe that doing “the planets work” is less hypocritical than Lloyd Blankfein “doing Gods work”. We are to revolt against the banksters to be enslaved by the greensters.
He’s bragged about his speculation in gold, he won’t call it speculation of course because that would reveal his hypocrisy. the chances are that 99% of that gold caused environmental damage and human suffering, why should he get a pass on that. An earlier comment said the banksters want social unrest, bull, they want the status quo. Rioting people don’t use credit cards or speculate in the market or buy consumer goods. If anybody wants social unrest it’s the one screaming “RISE UP”, the one with a pile of gold that would soar in value if the debt slaves revolted. How is this not “talking ones book”. Face it anyone holding gold is speculating on the social volatility index. They may claim it’s wealth protection but that claim is
superego masturbation.
Max, you want a revolt, well grab your pitchfork and lead the million pitchfork march on DC since you mocked the million gun march. I think it was Stacy who said “could you imagine a million dumb Americans with guns marching in DC” or something to that effect, obviously you realize it is a million gun owner march, but it sounded scarier to suggest that there will be a million guns in their hands. Hyperbolic obfuscation to demonize the gun owners.
Who will start a revolt with pitchforks when your pal Alex Jones says foreign troops would be called in to quell unrest, will those troop have pitchforks or guns. Or maybe the revolt you want is an internet billion keystroke virtual march on DC, well AJ says the internet will be shut down, maybe a twitter revolt, oops cellphones shut down. Looks like guns are the best option.
Without weapons to protect your gold hoard from newly emancipated debt slaves how long will you dodge “madame guillotine” and the purge of evil capitalists and speculators who profited from the barbarous relic? How many revolutionaries renounce their ideologies when facing a firing squad of their peers?
Is it me, or do Max and Stacy do bongs before these “Truth about Markets” shows? Homo Interconnecticus? Avatars? How much is David Cameron getting in commission for this free advertising on almost every show?
Sorry New Zealand, this show belongs in California. (What Oregan, Nevada, and Arizona call ‘Californication’, i.e. you RUINED your state, don’t bring your daft ideas to our state).

@Stacy @Max:
How about CyberSapiens? The next evolution….

Denninger makes some good points :
..
..
Let’s see what we have here….
Now maybe you can justify how it is that these fine bastions of American Government Employment earn these bloated salaries.

@Stacy
I’d not say we will see a new species out of africa, although people there are ‘well tested’. I think one way african individuals have a huge advantage is that they have seen many more pathogen than any western person. Immunity against certian viri has always had the potential to change the course of evolution..I think that puts poorer countries at an advantage..
next stage of evolution; the end of individualism;

Wall Street using Build America bonds to rake in the dough.

Dan Hannan’s take on the bailouts:
“Why did MPs and Congressmen support a policy (the bailouts) that their constituents disliked? Partly because of the “Something Must Be Done” fallacy: the baleful modern notion that the government’s response to a crisis must be proportionate to the degree of media anxiety rather than the scale of the problem. Mainly, though, because ministers allowed their policy on banking to be determined by bankers…we are in the world… of back-room deals, of ententes between big government and big corporations, of conspiracies against the public weal hatched in the name of necessity.
What would my alternative have been? The alternative to nationalising financial instititutions is, you know, not nationalising them. The alternative to rescuing some very rich individuals with taxpayers’ money is to let taxpayers keep their money.”

This economic arson has it’s bright side – for foreign corporations, who can then pick off remaining assets, such as the odd mining concession or port, at fire sale prices.”
http://www.gregpalast.com/the-globalizer-who-came-in-from-the-cold/
@popoo – ‘uneducated’ is the wrong word, you mean to use ‘misinformed’ or ‘ignorant;’ nevertheless, my understanding is that it is you that is wrong; there were three, possibly four species of hominids living on earth at the same time at one point: Homo sapien, Home erectus, Homo neanderthalensis, and possibly, Homo floresiensis
there is no doubt in my mind about a new species…Human v1.1

My son had trouble finishing high school due to ADD. The psychologist that helped us out, who also had an ADD offspring, had an interesting theory. He claimed that ADD folk are wired differently and may be an alternate species. i.e. An off shoot that is different than “normal”, another branch. Son is now a licensed plumber, he flunked math in high school but got straight A’s in all the plumbing courses including the math. Go figure.
The thing that bothers me is the high ratio of autistic births (1 in 100) if that keeps growing we are in trouble as a species.

This has led to displacement of people, lack of consultation and compensation, broken promises about wages and job opportunities”

Why not borrow Humphry Fortescue Osmond’s term:
Homo Psychedelicus.
Psychedelic means, literally: “mind-manifesting”.
What better sobriquet for the new super-sentient
primate who moves cursors around with thought waves?
Cursors are only the beginning- the connotations
are colourful to say the least.
What do fat people, tasmanian devils and some homo-freakus african evolution have to do with “The Truth About Markets”, sounds more like a Hunter S Thompson or William Burroughs script.
correction
hell of a lot MORE than what I caused eating BK Whoppers instead of soy glop.
Man…I had no idea about this giant squid issue. I mean…how do you prepare for something like that? LOL
@ Mr. Holipsism : its easy !
Give a man a fish (squid) feed him for a day!
Teach a man to fish (catch squid) and he’ll sit in a boat and drink beer all day !
Vega Man
@stacyherbert, Perhaps this makes 4.

@The Man from Glad – homo sapiens weren’t here until about 200,000 years ago
@stacyherbert, I was taught there were three related species, or sub-species:
Homo sapiens sapiens
Homo sapiens neanderthalensis
Homo sapiens cro magnon
Add to this list:
Homo sapiens idaltu
-
h.s.c.m. could have easily intermarried with h.s.s. H.s.n. maybe so.

@stacyherber, I think it depends on which Anthropologist you ask.
‘Neanderthals are either classified as a subspecies of humans (Homo sapiens neanderthalensis) or as a separate species (Homo neanderthalensis).’
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neanderthal
When I studied Historical Linguistics, we were taught there were Uralic and Altaic groups within the Uralic-Altaic family of languages. Now it depends on who you listen to. Some texts still teach the combined family, other they are distinct families. Depends on which linguists you listen to.
@ Stacy
Watcha gonna teach ta new generation
JFK was killed by Lee harvey Oswald or ?????????
the obvious ?????
I would suggest a holding pattern on History 101 as of now
Hic
Dont take ta History books as granted IMO
@stacyherber, I think it depends on which anthropologist you listen to.

@stacyherber, Sorry for the duplicate post. There was a lag for the first one. Wasn’t sure what had happened.
@Bonn, I think AJ is awesome. Just not into the fear thing is all.
Maxwell and Stacy,
The Bugs Bunny cartoon where Bugs plays the gay hairdresser/manicurist is not with the Tasmanian Devil it’s with the big ginger monster with the bowling shoes http://lauriekendrick.files.wordpress.com/2007/11/gossamer1.jpg I think it’s name is Gossamer.
And following on from the success of Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mega_Shark_Versus_Giant_Octopus maybe you should start a PiratemyFilm franchise for “Squidzilla: Wall Street SOS”.
@Sam
Canned Squid? Max must sober up before the Russia Today , and On the Edge shows.
@Stacy: Burping ‘tasty helium’ isn’t the only thing being made up here.
Christchurch is only safe for 30 minutes. I hope at least the intermission music that I can’t hear online is good.
lol Great Neanderthal/Evolution bit Max and Stacy. I have a theory that the next Evolution will be self sustaining Robots, for the Japanese are already well on their way with this process.
