Why don’t the politicians extract pounds of flesh from bank shareholders before writing checks or taking over? Why not force banks to write down losses and issue warrants to the government? Hold the banks responsible and make the government the owner? At least then the taxpayer could benefit from asset sales and if the bank recoup benefit from selling shares. What benefits do the taxpayer get from buying “bad assets”.
Or; When do we reach the level where it becomes acceptable to hunt bankers? oh well . . .

The problematic with the story line is that the ‘invention of words’ is the factor that separates man from knowing truth. How then can a story (any story including the angel’s), fabricated by words, delineate any understanding. The words themselves are truant: they cannot be trusted (under that scenerio). So the story negates the story’s affirmation.
The angel is a little-longwinded and needs some personality markers. Why not humour? And I think he or she (being androgynous) should get the message across in a series of communications not based on words. Why not have nature or circumstance speak? More metaphor, less preaching: but all-in-all the narrative is superior.
Playing with the idea of time and linear narrative might be an interesting inclusion. Assume intelligence on the part of your readers and you will attract and intelligent audience.

Scroll down to Table 1 & you’ll see that JPM has double the exposure that either Citibank or Bank of America has, Can JPM always on the right side of the trade? Even so, are we sure that the counter parties will be good for it in the next crisis? And how about Goldman Sachs? $40 trillion of toxic waste against only $114 million of assets!

The word ‘apple’ had trekked the distance of two minds and established the idea that minds could have a distance apart. ‘Personality’ and ‘individuality’ were created and destroyed Eden. God didn’t expel Adam and Eve from Eden. They walked out on their own holding a dictionary. With each new word invented, the possibility of perfection became more abstract, more unknowable. Eden appeared further and further in the rear view mirror until it vanished.’

The word faith, was a problem because faith inspired silence. If you give that person a ball, they will run for the goal line as fast as they can – thinking they are outrunning their fears. ‘Pray for your life’ on the other hand sounds like something you can take your time with; wait until next Sunday to worry about, that’s if you get around to it.
Butter Candy was trying to change this equation with faith dollars that would instantly fulfill the promise faith had mortgaged for the afterlife into this life. Futures have got to go backwards; S&P futues, pork belly futures, Forex futures would click backwards if faith dollars were easy to get at right now. And if they were perceived to have immediate value as a neutralizer of fear then the result would be instant Karma. People would run as hard as they could toward faith dollar accumulation as fear simultaneously ran backwards in a psychic limning Contango.

So, He was a bit conflicted about getting rid of fear altogether. For fun He would sometimes seed people’s minds with His angst and they created Art and that seemed to appease the fear nannies. And what about the clouds? Weren’t they cool?
Many Big Bangs and cosmic calendars and such. Subsequent species appreciated Him more. He programmed that into their DNA – not wanting to make the same mistake twice. Why bother with those ingrates on Earth He asked Himself.
The angel and God had been around since the beginning of time. He had gone on to create many more universes in other parts of the multi-verse. He hated entropy. It made Him look cheap and the bit of anti-anti piercing Jack’s scull smacked of entropy. And the bit with the narrator at the begining of this story seemed contrived to God. But the angel heard it all before. She knew faith vs. fear battle was going to be tough with or without God’s help.
Fear had been the undisputed heavyweight champ for eons. It would not go quietly away without inflicting a Nebbakenezzer of pain on whomever tried to mess with it.

Well to some extent I would still support a fractional reserve system with very low leverage as deficit spending for the future is not all that bad once the investments increase the productive output of a economy – the rise of monetarism seemed to supercharge consumption by reducing the fundamental capital of a system – a road to nowhere really
