The difference between the UK/USA etc is that the former have long been politically, culturally and institutionally integrated. Europe, on the whole, especially after expansion, has none of these. The Euro will definitely morph in some way; whether it survives or not is another matter. Depends upon the level of outrage that develops in the anchor economies, Germany and France. The UK has too many problems of their own and are not in a position to help.

Interesting take. However I think gold should allready be at $1,500 now so it can go to $2,000 at the end of 2010.
