Haha, I like your virtual currency facebook credit analogy Max, it’s so very true. There’s another form of this very happening in a online game called “Second Life” that a whole ton of people seem to play. They even held a real life congressional meeting and a bill passing in it. Each congress person was logged on to a computer, given their second life character, conducted their congressional process from that computer along with all the other members doing the same. I’m pretty sure that the second lifer’s will join in on this virtual currency deal (if they have not already) and then, not only can people partake in neo feudalism like daily routines in real life, but also on the web in cyber life. Max, there is no such thing as “fiat” currencies, the whole idea is completely absurd. If the value of money as a medium of exchange was not determined by any physical resource then there would be no such thing as recession or depression, just infinite economic growth.
As long as a nation continued to increase the monetary supply in excess of the debt liabilities owing, this could go on forever and would only require us to hack some zero’s from the face value of the currency every 50 years or so. I challenge anyone to prove that fiat money has no value or claim on any finite resource.
But ‘fiat” money does not exist, never has and never will. All money has ever been and ever will be is a physical representation (unit of account) of the energy surplus available for purchase and consumption in an economy. You are really beginning to lose me with the facebook credit jibberish.
Todays money is given its value by the supply of energy resources man can utilize to increase net energy gains. Most important of which today is by far oil.
Tomorrows money will be given its value by the limit and price placed upon global carbon emission units that will drive the creation of net energy gains through energy efficiency and supply sustainability.
Cap and trade, ever heard of it or spared more than one minutes thought to understanding what all the fuss is actually about? Time to get real Max, anyone who believes in the existence of “fiat” money is about to get slapped in the face by decreasing net energy gains. Or to put it into terms that may be easier to understand today, a decline in the rate of production and therefore consumption of oil energy resources. Energy resources that are required to sustain and increase economic activity, that is required to allow the credit expansion that is needed to service the debt liabilities already owing in the system. I think that the IMF can’t sell gold to REAL customers because it doesn’t exist in the real world.
It is just gold promised by states. They are selling something they don’t even have. Its been leased many times already and now they are saying they are selling it.
Since when do these organisations need to possess gold to sell it on? If a real customer bought this gold the IMF may have to hand it over.
I think that is why Brown, Costello, etc sold gold. They were convinced that it was no longer relavent. It will need these entities to be shown up for the system to collapse, starting with the comex.

The total number of all priests accused of sexual abuse of minors is less than 5% of all Catholic clergy. That means more than 95% of Catholic clergy have never been accused and are doing their jobs correctly, living quiet and holy lives in service to their parishes.

Even though Facebook (or other social networking organizations) are the most popular engagement on the internet….its reach is still drastically limited….collective social illusions which Money is, needs more than a majority to “buy” into the arrangement, the percentage that is required to move a collective belief into a Social Fact is uncertain but it is substantially more than what ever could be hoped for by the current social networking systems ….or truthfully what they are ever capable of producing
so why the certainty you express for this being the next bubble
