I am devastated after watching this video. I tremble as I write this message. those poor people and the children, my god the children. Wiki Leaks exposes the Godel weakness in the justice system. The myth of the rule of law enables the government. If you can’t bring evidence without censorship people won’t believe in the rule of law and be subdued. This however means the government propaganda may be exposed and people will wake up.
Justice is of course an abstraction into perfection of just rulings by the relevant power. Toss a dog a bone: People are getting upset, some mad — but really any more mad than they were before? Could this be just a provaction intended to spike an existing outrage amongst a tech-savvy audience and thus build trust in the wikileaks brand? And why the buildup? Didn’t it rather encourage a certain expectation of shock that must now be real-eyes-ed in the internetted conversation? And now we look for the mainstream media to reflect our indignation. What happens if they don’t? How have we been encouraged to trust if they don’t?

Well, it’s tempting to read a conspiracy into this.
Wikileaks *is* being positioned as a post-nation state, info-net phenomena, whether that positioning is organic to it’s usefulness, or forced by promoters is hard to discern. Obviously we have our preference here, but as Madsen said of WL in a recent AJ interview: “If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.” Of course that can be said of anything but since WL by way of anonymous submissions is itself acting as ‘the source’…
As I’ve just said below in reference to a comment made by John Young (Crytome.org), the more WikiLeaks-style sites, the better.
Judging by the intelligence of Assange (WL), it’s hard to imagine him as a useful idiot. As for Madsen, I just don’t know enough about him. Seems a bit too keen on this one, but critical voices are always welcome.

The BIGGEST CRIME in this whole episode was the follow-on coverup. The official roboton stating “we don’t know how the little girls were hurt” and the claim that all those killed were “insurgents”. Bullcrap. It would have been IMMEDIATLY clear to the troops that came in after the incident that there were virtually no weapons (no AKs) to be seen…just a lone RPG. It would have been CLEAR that the journalists were packing CAMERAS rather than weapons. Their IDs would have clearly shown them to be Reuters journos. No, the biggest crime here was the follow up coverup and lying about the incident.
This incident also demonstrates that it is unacceptable for helo crews to pick and fire upon ground targets on their own. It is IMPOSSIBLE to positively ID the “enemy” on the ground with that crappy rez camera from a mile or so away. The ONLY clear weapon was the RPG. Period.
Unless there are troops on the ground RIGHT THERE to clearly ID enemy targets as legitimate targets with actual weapons, then the helos should be barred from acting. The troops should call in support, the psychopath cowboys in the helos themselves cannot be trusted to properly ident targets. Even with the best of intentions they cannot do it.
They murdered innocent people all to kill the ONE person who was clearly a valid target. They maimed two little girls and their parents/family members who had the humanitarian gall to seek to help an injured human being. The math is unacceptable here.

If you look at the bottom of the screen, when the gunner is saying his “gun is not firing” because of the “azimuth” issue, you can see the notes at the bottom flashing that info (something like “az limit”)
What I find completely spooky, is how the soldiers in the helecopter clearly believe that a man walking so nonchalantly in the open could be carrying a gun, with noone around on the street paying any particular attention to him. That fact should have given them pause, and would have saved lives. But the real murderes were the politicians who started an illegal war. They have hundreds of thousands (or more) innocent lives that they have brutally ended.
