There are encryption algorithms out there that just cannot be cracked, no matter how many years and how powerful the computer is. These algorithms are completely non-linear, and non-deterministic. Weizmann possesses this technology. I am sure there are others.
I’ve been digging into Julian Assange’s work. One of his projects is ‘surfraw’. It works on Posix systems. I use it. There is nothing in that work that would come close to the technology required to crack encryption algorithms.
I am very very suspicious of this….there are unknown individuals in the US Military wandering around with easily decrypted videos on flash drives whilst their commanders are refusing to release this information.

I do agree that the authorities are incaserating the wrong guys, while the Bankers who stand to gain the most, by being complicit in laundering “drug $s”, get away scot free, laughing all the way to their bank vaults! These are the same guys that US tax payers have bailed out from the Global Financial Crisis and whose excessive greed has got worse since the government threw money at them and have not instituted any regulations to reign in their excesses and greed! Because of tax payers money used to bail them out, the US Banks are de facto nationalised. Hence, the US government should bring in regulations to recover the loan money over time for the tax payers.
Like prohibition and the ‘War on Terror’, the War on Drugs cannot be won. There needs to be a complete re-thinking on this very complex problem involving human behaviour which needs to be brought in line with other substance addiction and abuse associated with legal drugs such as alcohol and cigarettes.
The video on 911 conspiracy theories were just as interesting and raised more questions than it answered! However, there were many ligitimate questions raised that need to be answered rather than avoided or deflected by governmental authorities and institutions as seems to be the case in the US.

I am not sure if status quo has anything to do with the equation. In some respects the ‘status quo’ has become a human construct in the hands of the Washington Consensus and can be morphed anytime into any shape. The projection of a status quo is at the disposal of the controlling entity. Hence it is difficult for me to see myself not doing exactly the same as G-dman if I where them. Corin was brother to actresses Vanessa and Lynn Redgrave and son to matinee idol Michael Redgrave and his actress wife Rachel Kempson, as well as uncle to star Natasha Richardson, who died last year.

Gérémi Adam, the only person ever convicted in Canada of pirating films, has died one week after completing his jail sentence.
