[Sunday Video Club] No Credit by Georgia Wonder

Stacy Summary: Check out this work from a friend (and composer of our “karmabanque” theme tune at the opening of TAM). This is the first video from Georgia Wonder‘s Made in Nevada, a music shop in which the band were given permission to record their album during the shop’s closing. Here is a video explaining the Making of Made in Nevada.

@ Stacy – At first, I thought the song was going to be about having a line of credit cut! (Because you mentioned karmabanque.) She’s got a great voice. The story about producing in the shop is awesome. It’s too bad that people who own places like that don’t regularly rent out instruments, equipment and space for small indy artists to record in. Now that would be a good, worthwhile business.

Nice but she sings out of tune: just sligthly , but enough that it irritates me, it impacts the result.
    (sorry)

    Volcanic ash doing God’s work:

The shutdown has also affected American military operations. Military supplies for operations in Afghanistan have been disrupted, and a spokeswoman for the Pentagon said that all medical evacuation flights from Iraq and Afghanistan to Germany, where most injured soldiers are typically treated, were being diverted directly to Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.

Within the European Command, some routine resupply missions and movement of personnel missions have been diverted or delayed, she said.

@ R. Cain – Thanks for the link. I’m so glad that Johnson is getting a lot media attention. In the beginning, the only person who gave him attention was Bill Moyers.

“Ultimately, the IMF document recommends a “hybrid” cap-and-trade system with, to take one example, safety valves that would allow the government to sell temporary permits if market prices reach a predetermined level. Johnson agrees that’s the way to go. “You want to establish a credible path,” to low carbon technology, he said.”

Georgia you’re wonderful. Your song; in many ways a hymn to America, the promises, our faith in constitutional values forsaken, your beautiful voice, a citizen asking where are we headed.
You drew tears to my eyes, there is a happy ending, it’s called sustainability. It is still do-able, our country and planet has a chance.
