The New York Times. The National Liar of Record: wasn’t thieving cocksuckers that buggered Greece. Naw, it wasn’t Goldman Sachs.. it was.. lazy crooked Greeks.. and geography. Yeah, that’s it. That’s the ticket. It was.. BAD SOIL! Bad! Bad soil!

    Hah!

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_mythology

RIP Greek people, you worthless cowardly cattle. Scratch in the dirt next to the decaying monuments that your superior forebearers built. Just remember, when you’re pissing on yourself in a nursing home trying to reach 100, watching Greek Idol, that you’re a bastardized cunt.

  3. “What did I just hear? What wisdom among kings! I am delighted, and truly, I’m already in the mood to make a rhyme of it, even if it turns out to be a rhyme that is not suitable for everyone’s ears. Long ago I gave up being considerate of long ears. Well then! Well now!

Once, I think in anno domini one
The Sybil said, drunk, though wine she’d had none:
‘Oh no, how badly things go!
Decline! Decline! The world has sunk so low!
Rome sank to whore and to a whorehouse too,
Rome’s Caesar to beast, and God himself – turned Jew!’”

    - Zarathustra.

  4. “Thucydides reports that when Spartan men went to war, their wives (or another women of some significance) would customarily present them with their shield and say: “With this, or upon this” (Ἢ τὰν ἢ ἐπὶ τᾶς, Èi tàn èi èpì tàs), meaning that true Spartans could only return to Sparta either victorious (with their shield in hand) or dead (carried upon it).[61] If a Spartan hoplite were to return to Sparta alive and without his shield, it was assumed that he threw his shield at the enemy in an effort to flee; an act punishable by death or banishment.”

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sparta

And now they are enslaved by a bunch of pencil necked weakling bankers and potbellied government bureaucrats! Shame!

  5. In People’s History, Zinn relates how the colonists tried to enslave the Native Americans first, but they couldn’t, cause these people were unenslavable. They’d rather die than be enslaved. They would either run away, kill the master, or become so depressed that they’d die. It’s shame that they didn’t have the technology and were wiped out. The Greeks won’t be wiped out and they should resist. It’s also a shame because I think a European/Native American hybrid would’ve been a terrific race in the proper proportions. Europeans today are mostly pencil necked weaklings suffering from the effect of Christianity over generations. They need a little savage blood infusion. Incidentally, I think a Mexican/European hybrid race is going to be very strong. These South American cartels are Nietzschean beasts. Blend that with some more European blood and watch out!

Am I joking? No. Yes. No…..

  6. I hate to multiple post, but do people forget that humans are just fancy apelike animals? If a society of german shepards was attacking and exploiting a society of poodles, would we blame geography? No, the german shepards are more aggressive and predatory by nature, and the poodles are too weak to defend themselves from the attack. Simple. Our only hope is that some dormant remnant of the ancient Greek warriors and geniuses is stirred within the psychic milieu of the Greek individuals, as a survival instinct activated by “austerity measures”.

  7. It’s tragic that they make our most intelligent women choose between a career with an advanced education or having children. There is no BOTH, because our society is hostile to children, family, and intelligence.

    Intelligence is mostly genetic, fact.

Fact, if the intelligentsia has one child on average per couple, they will be extinct VERY quickly.

Don’t blame me, I didn’t create the universe.

  8. It’s like the Egyptians. Now, they scratch around in the dirt around these glorious, decaying monuments. It’s cause the people, the elite who had those monuments built, either no longer exist, or moved out of Egypt. It’s sad. Think of that when you watch our media. Our media is all about “mixing us up”. Yet, our media supports a Middle Eastern apartheid state where the fundamental law is NO MIXING. Strange.

  9. Probably their intellectuals didn’t reproduce enough, just like Max and Stacy are childless, willing the future to be dumber.

  10. People like Jared Diamond and Kaplan like to publicly blame things such as geography when the biggest causal factors are racial. Greeks didn’t have any problems with geography when they produced the most intelligent race of humans to ever live, approximately 2500 years ago. Obviously, they are no longer the same people, probably due to intermixing with inferior peoples and emigration to Rome. Now, their problems are due to parasitic banker mobsters and a feeble populace. As if the Spartans would’ve put up with such abuse. I giggle snort when “geography” is blamed for Greece’s woes.

  11. As we all know the real problem for countrys that got snookered into these goldman sachs deals is the bought off politicans in these countrys. THey’re just goldman sachs bag men there to set up the stealing of a countrys resourses and wealth.

The only way any country can save itself is set up trials by the people against the politicans that are owned by the banksters. And when it comes out that these politicans had collution with the banksters the deal would be null and void.

  12. The second article is full of craps. it’s absurd to explaining the greek disaster by only geography without mentioning real culprits. Who invented those strange derivatives that caused the financial crisis in the first place? Who helped the greek government to hide the debt ?? Who are benefiting from the greek crisis?? Same people who caused the crisis in the first place. Finally, Who has intervened greece and brought a dictatorship in the 20 centtury??

What many people have learned from the greek crisis is that we can’t have a common currency without an unfied fiscal system because we just become helpless to prevent financial crisis on our own due to the loss of monetary power. In this circumstance, there are two solutions: one, just kiss big brother’s ass, two: kick big brother’s ass.

Sovereign liquidity versus Suprasovereign liquidity: the former an anachronism, the latter the new wave.

“In its World Economic Outlook, released Wednesday, the International Monetary Fund projected that the Greek economy would contract 2 percent this year and 1.1 percent in 2011.
It also warned about the danger of continued uncertainty over the situation in Greece for the rest of Europe.
“If unchecked, market concerns about sovereign liquidity and solvency in Greece could turn into a full-blown sovereign debt crisis, leading to some contagion,” the report said, adding that this “reinforces the importance of efforts by the Greek authorities to re-establish the credibility of their fiscal policy.””

“In general, the liquidity of a credit derivative asset increases when it is showing signs of financial stress in combination with a significant amount of debt outstanding and/or changes in its capital structure, including new issuance. The liquidity scores of assets have historically traded between 4 at the most liquid end, through to 29 at the least liquid end. Entities also tend to be more liquid when there is agreement about present value but disagreement about future value due to heightened uncertainty surrounding the entity.”

  17. @bonn

I vanished earlier to go to the gym, but nice to read so much about India. I have been there twice in the last year for about 4 months in total. 2 months in Dehradun studying IT and about the same travelling around, mainly down the south, skirting the coast from Chennai to Mumbai. And whilst I might puff (occasionally) in the UK I didn’t smoke at all over there. I did though get given something to drink in Haridwar about two months ago, on one of the main bathing dates at the Kumbh Mela, which had a certain charm to it.

Personally I wonder about your future. I certainly note the feeling for many in India is upbeat about your prospects but there are things about the place that leave me ambivalent. No different than how things about the place here in the UK leave me just the same.

Interesting to see how the Commonwealth Games pan out.

So generally I have to say, ‘good luck’. I wonder how much India works in dare I say, the ‘chaotic’* way it does, out of a common faith that it can? Or be it a pride and desire it should?

Or is it just cricket that holds sway to create the National identity? To which one has to wonder whether half of India will even notice the Common Wealth Games at all!

    Totally off topic but …

    My info on Reptilians:

The Dinosaurs were part of our history, and they were given the responsibility was to help evolve the human brain stem. This evolutionary tract requires huge amount of predatory activity( survival of the fittest) and the higher spiritual energies refused to participate in this activity leaving the dinosaurs to what they do best.

Having developed the human brain ( it is still called the reptilian brain) after huge amount of predatory activities, their contract ended and their life was abruptly ended. A few of the dinosaurs had achieved significant technological advances during that time( considering they lived for much longer than humans)…and had managed to escape this. ~( story is a bit fuzzy here)

Due to the reptilian brain, a lot of the predatory instincts still exist within humans which these reptilians are using to spread their power, greed etc.

During Atlantean times, 33 highly developed individuals were given advanced knowledge about the universe, 13/14 of them were seduced by the reptilians using this brain stem( 13 bloodlines) and began their reign of darkness, while 19/20 swore to serve the light and went underground.

The 13/14 bloodlines use strict genetic breeding to ensure the birth of specific reptilian energies. Whenever there is a new idea or brilliance arising on earth, 2 or 3 of these families wage war against each other and kill everyone involved..reducing the potential for growth.

“some people are making references to reptilians. What does that mean?”

Some people think that above the NWO there is an layer of Aliens really pulling the strings. One of the Alien species is referred to as “the reptilians”. Some also think that some people are in fact reptilians looking like human or cross species. David Icke has a theory about it but frankly I haven’t heard yet what he had to say about that.

An other thing is about our brain in which the basic brain on top of which our more sophisticated brain is build, is called the reptilian brain part. But this is something completely different.

  62. @Bonn

I believe India maintains a form of stability because the divisions are to a ratio that supports some form of equilibrium. Possibly though it is an extension of the ‘divide and rule’ principle/policy which allowed the place to be part of the British Empire. And by ‘allowed’ I mean it was in part the various groups fighting against each other which allowed for the whole to be maintained.

A kind of ‘crabs in the pot’ scenario.

I imagine the stability therefore might be threatened if there are food shortages. I appreciate the land is fertile but India could be effected by internal population growth, climate and external (or corporate) land grabbing. Also whether India is in a position to ‘de-couple’ (as Schiff uses the term)? I imagine a lot of its economic growth has been a part down to relative cheapness as a supplier to the west, but could the domino effect in Greece run its course till that market dries up? I.E. A bit of Western protectionism coupled to a lack of purchasing power spreading to UK and USA. How many years time that might be, I don’t know but I do wonder where India is heading?
I think that for me this question centres around the idea of ‘decoupling’ but I wonder how much the Indian ‘system’ at present might be too divisive and not ‘geared’ for that direction?

I do appreciate I am being critical about India in places, so my apologises.

  64. Well, Kaplan in all his halfwitted analysis forgot just one little detail: colonization.

The western “elite” have been pillaging other lands (not to mention their own) for the last 600-700 hundred years. I should acknowledge though Kaplan’s copious effort to revive the orientalist tradition. Of cource now it’s north vs south.

All of that so that a cabdriver from New York won’t understand that he/she ‘s got much more in common with a dry cleaner from Izmir than with a banker…

  66. Interesting geography lesson, but I think that only someone who thinks about geography in the context of security (the author of that piece) would make the claim that geography = destiny. Greece didn’t get screwed because of where it is; it got screwed because bankers exploited vulnerabilities there . . . just as they have done everywhere else. Would geography = destiny if Greece had control of its own currency printing apparatus? Probably not.

  67. Is President Obama involved in the financial Coverup?

… President Barack Obama met four (4) times in the White House with current Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein over a period of three weeks before civil charges were brought against the noted brokerage firm bank.

Sources inside the SEC … claim that the SEC and the Obama Justice Department are holding evidence linking the Goldman hedge fund Paulson and Associates to the Deutsche Bank, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, AIG, the Galleon Group hedge fund, along with Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway, and none other than the London offices of the Bernard Madoff Ponzi Scheme.

Nice to read an explanation which isn’t purely economic. Apperently the geo-political past still shapes our geo-political future even Goldman-Sachs can’t change that. Then again, the NYT article was probably written by a coalition of Free masons, Cia, Zionists & Reptilians trying to mindcontrol us with fairytales about Europe’s past.

  69. @Bonn,…”Your” Government was installed by the British using Gandi to centralize the population into a more coherent structure,..but you knew this right,…
The whole planet is actually working under one rule/system,..has been for a long time,…

  73. They have put commercials on tv -paid of cource, otherwise they wouldn’t be commercials- urging the citizens to chip in. They even show reports of “Mr X giving away his monthly pension for the good of the country” or “Little Y and Z breaking their piggy banks to help with the debt”. Huge propaganda effort. Things are beyond surreal right now.
Meanwhile on Athens richest suburb a street where many shipowners live is turned into a sidewalk (for security reasons probably) with money from the EU! As one of them said at one point “I wouldn’t be rich if I paid up every dumb ass”.

  74. @ Kitty
Kashmir is an issue we have wit Pakistan ;-> Pakistan IMO seems to Envy India’s Economic Power ;->
Kashmir USP is that its probably more beutiful than Switzerlad Scenic wise
Me Professional Golf friend told me that theres one course in Kashmir which is the most beutiful Golf Course in the world & he has travelled all over the world as a Junior Golfer representing India
So my guess is it could be a huge source of Revenue from tourism IMO
    Pakistan has no manufacturing Industry to speak of ; Tey Import everything;
So now you know why Pakistan has interest in taking over Kashmir

    Oks one topic down
    next ta Maoist and Naxalite
these are mainy of oriental descent Which India / Indians have adopted
Now they are fighting fer tear own country in the middle of India
mainy the reason is that they are not given the same opportunitys as other Indians
But India will no way bow down to Maoist and Naxalite movements
Punjab Tried to break away from India in the early 80′s
It was called the Khalisthan movement.
The Indian Govt. Stepped in and crushed the movement
    Now Either the Maoist and Naxalite have not heard of the Crushing of Khalisthan movement by the Govt. And they living in LA LA land if they think they can win;
Our country has also given Tibetians a place to hang out
I freakin live in a great country save the population explosion part

  77. @Bonn

    2 or 3? How Many?

I suppose it is all a question of definitions.

Forgetting the places in the North like Kashmir and Sikkim, or those who would enter from across the sea.

Do your estimates exclude the revolutionary violence e.g. Maoist and Naxalite along The Red Corridor.?

Does it also exclude the ethnic/religious clashes that ignite? Albeit sometimes mistakenly, like when a rail disaster is misinterpreted. Even though some politicians threaten retribution if a single member of their faith is touched. That also might be considered terrorism. Though not state sanctioned it can involve the turning of a blind eye.

Then of course there is Financial Terrorism.

Just perhaps India is a powder keg waiting to explode, more internecine warfare than terrorism? Or is it just a few bumbling amateurs in far flung places?

  85. There seems to be 2 responses to the Greek crisis, One that they deserve it and two that they are just victims of a government/banker scam. Meanwhile the EU/IMF repeat the mantra there is no alternative. There is an alternative, economic democracy. Cut the generals generous budget and make the rick sectors of society pay their fair share and arrest/investigate those suspected of corruption. That’s an alternative to slash and burn.

+P Could Hit 3000 by 2020! Bull Market Far from Over, Jon Markman Says
Posted Apr 26, 2010 07:30am EDT by Heesun Wee in Investing, Recession, Banking, Mobile
Related: aapl, ^gspc, ^dji, ba, IWN, ita, HBAN
Jon Markman first appeared on our show in December and urged investors to go long. Fast forward four months and we all know how the market has surged. Friday, the markets edged even higher, with the Dow up for the eighth-consecutive week.

“It’s still the right thing to be long,” Markman tells Aaron in the accompanying clip, citing still-low interest rates, strong investor appetite for corporate bonds and stubborn disbelief from the bears. “This is the most morose bull market in history,” says the author and Marketwatch columnist.

Room for growth. “If the public doesn’t get on board with this bull market, the companies are going to do it themselves both by buying other companies, and bidding up the market that way, and buying back their own stock,” Markman says.

Translation: The upside hasn’t all been priced into the market yet and it’s not too late to jump on board the train.

S&P 3000. Reflecting on financial history and last round of massive government stimulus in the early 1990s, after which the S&P rose five-fold, Markman says the S&P could hit 3000 by the end of the decade. Recalling “Something along those lines could happen again,” he says.

Follow the leaders. So where to start now as an investor? Think leaders such as Apple (AAPL), which at 12 times projected 2011 earnings is trading at a “ridiculously low” valuation, Markman says. He also likes Boeing (BA), insurance players and regional banks. (Markman owns shares of Apple.)

Meanwhile they accept a rule by government through which the only paradigm that should be discussed is liberty Vs tyranny. Instead they have this left right thing that is basically an argument over laundering money and under whos hood the public is getting frogmarched towards a corporate tyranny..

Than Click “regular download” than you will see a clock ticking down seconds – wait till zero and a download pop up will appear which you can click on to start your download.

You only can download so much and than you have to wait for a while to be able to download the next. etc …So it takes you some time but Hack- it’s free.

That’s why I recommend the Torrent way no hassle and you probably get more info about the stuff your download – if it works and if it’s save.

  125. @Mother Earth

I agree there is an huge overhang in the useless banking system who now are only predatory on main street to finance their derivative gamblin games.

Money is not the problem they can print it infinitely. The game plan is to deflate main street and buy everything up for pennies on the dollar with their Micky Mouse money to get us in total enslavement.

  126. The answer lies in businesses creating the money they need themselves, simple contracts basically and allowing any bank claim on property to succeed..Eventually the banks are out of work and out of money and will have to sell their assets for the money the companies created..

  127. “For all Greece’s insistence that a deal will be done very soon, the obvious distaste in Germany about a rescue just won’t go away. Chancellor Angela Merkel is on board – though only because the alternative looked even more dangerous. “Greece is where the historically underdeveloped worlds of the Mediterranean and the Balkans overlap, and this has huge implications for its politics and economy.”

Oh, but of course we forget about GREEK F*CKING ANTIQUITY!!!! Ever wonderd where the words idyllic, pastural or arcadian come from?

The current balance of poer in the world is artificial and based on dominance of fossil reserves and the banker ponzi scheme.

  133. Greeks should File a Petition in the International Court of Law
tat ting does still exist right ???

    Hic ;-)

  134. To eliberate further on the two articles presented above: It’s indeedy the classical North – South dialectic of seemingly opposite characters but in fact caused by it’s Geographical nature as pointed out by Robert Kaplan in the New York Times piece.

Remember there was a time, not so long ago, when there was so much tension between the North and the South of Italy that at some point the North treathned to seperate from the South. Many poor Sicilians went to the States and used their old Archaic Family traditions to build up the organized crime. These traditions were grown out of poverty were one has to rely on the family to survive.

You have these same tensions in Greece itself between the North ( some of them Macedonian) and the South of Greece. Still many Greek have to rely on their family help to sustain somthing we also see happening in the West trough the impoverishment of the IMF predatory system.

I think Greece is very greatfull for the European Union to get help in upgrading their roads and bridges although due to the corrupt nature of it’s government not equaly divided over the many Greek Islands and main land. Some get more some get notin depending if an Island has poliical conections to Athens. The Greek people are fully aware of that.

But this situation now with Greece has nothing to do with that but has to do with the corrupt nature of the U.S. with Goldman Sachs as the great Vampiere Squid as example cause there are more.

  135. Greece has been sacrificed regularly throughout history, what’s new?

  136. The Germans are threatening to kick out the Greece of the European Union which I think is nothing more than sable rattling to prevent Greece of getting back their confidence and do what I wrote earlier (almost as if the Germans have been reading my piece):

    THIS GOT ME SO MAD!

I don’t think the Greek fully understand the unique advantage position they have. They hold the future of the EU in their hands which leverage (to keep it in Goldman Sachs terms) they can use to stick it to the IMF and the rest of Europe.

Germany hand the rest of Europe are afraid to death that the EU falls apart if Greece is not able to pay their “huge” debt so they will do anything to prevent that. Since they are the first in Europe to hold this position they have the higher ground in this game.

Other PIIGS countries which will follow the same path of Greece later in the game getting unsustainable debts are less likely to be bailed out so Greece must profit from this unique position to firstly get rid of the IMF. Secondly get zero interest rate loans from the EU or otherwise go back to the Drachme in which position they can devalue their currency which they can’t do now and print up the same Micky Mouse money which Goldman Sachs trough Bernanke does.

So it’s a win win situation if they refuse the IMF firstly and secondly refuse to pay any debt in Euro’s unless they get it for free. I can assure you that no one wants to blow up Europe at this point in time so GREECE PLEASE PROFIT FROM THIS UNIQUE POSITION!

If you hold a little debt your a dupe but when you hold a very large debt, positions turn as all banksters know. So, Greece has to begin to do the same as the U.S. and spend like crazies with the same argument as Bernanke does namely that it allegedly is to save the economy.

Otherwise DIE ON YOUR KNEES GREECE!!!!

Look what has happened to the jellyfish Britons who didn’t have the right stomic to stand up against these Goldman Sachs Gangsters. (That’s why so many of them went to America in the past!)

They now will die on their knees because of all the crazy IMF Neo- Liberal austerity measurements. London is most unequal city in Western world with gap between rich and poor widest SINCE SLAVERY!

  137. Creative Destruction

Goldman is so vast it drinks the rivers dry. All that Goldman requires is this a simple offering of earth and water, a token of Greece’s submission to the will of Goldman.

  138. This shows again how uninterested Americans are outside their country if it’s not for bombing. From the New York Times: For Greece’s Economy, Geography Was Destiny: “Brussels, The Hague, Maastricht in Holland and Strasbourg, France.”

Brussels isn’t situated in Holland but in Belgium! Last time there was some American journalist who thought that Maastricht was in Belgium. NOT in Holland.

  139. Marc Authier

The Greeks desserve it. That’s what happens when you screw with the devil from FGoldman Sachs. You have to see Greece as big ENRON in the form of a country. Papandréou and Karamanlis should change their name to Bernie Madoff. Both left and right, but mostly the right in Greece should be put in prison for 200 years.

  140. No doubt the Greek people allowed their political elite to run things as they wanted taking the crumbs thrown to them as a reward. The only solution is for the Greek people to rediscover what they originally developed DEMOCRACY and take back their country. The solutions will then be in their own hands. If they need to tell the IMF and the EU to both fck off then thats what they have to do. The issue will be not only in Greece but in all democracies, where is the honest leadership?, the honest media? without these we will all stumble on with the PTB pulling the strings—MAX RISE UP AND TAKE US TO THE PROMISED LAND LOL

  141. Marc Authier
