Excellent Guest .. Mike Hudson is the best !

Why isn’t the EU listening to him … and only him !

  2. MirrorMirror

SOUND SUDDENLY MISSING @7.14 Part 3

Is that just me, or has anyone else got this problem ?
    TIA

  3. Watching!

And still I notice in my country people think we have to cut costs because of all the unhealthy benefits we extend to the sick and the jobless, so we need to make them suffer even more to make our economy healthy again.

State propaganda works very well in Holland unfortunately.

  4. Sound drops out in final minute of final part?

  5. Third clip @ 7:12 cuts the sound. Is that your glitch or the content as filtered by Ytube?

Great show as always, by the by ;-)

  6. Ooooo. What happened there? I’m uploading the final clip there as it has some good stuff. Will post link when it’s available.

  8. Hudson on the Marker again!

That’s what I am telling people for a long time. A normal craftsman earned enough money for his wife to raise the children at home buy a house etc… Not anymore. Now both man and woman both have to work to be able to buy a house and raise children. Nazi Rockefellows did this on purpose so the State raises the children and can brainwash them with propaganda.

    @Sirial

While the Netherlands have the lowest employment of the world even in this crises but still people are easy to divide. A lot of working people are frustrated and they know it. Every year you can read a story of some unemployed in the newspaper who owns a Jaguar or somtin like that to keep the people biased.

Indeed nobody in the Netherlands talks about the massive fraud that has been committed but try to blame the people “Cause we’ve been growing to fast” I heard some niwit financial RTLZ Journalist say yesterday. How can fast growth be bad? What a load of baloney! These suckers live in their own little delusionary pink world.

  9. Brandon Sanks

Will Obama have to bailout Illinois and California? The deal here in illinois is very dire. That state is 15 billion dollars in the red with a 30 billion dollar budget! Even rising the income tax from 3% to 5% would still leave us nearly 4 billion in the red. Our pensions are also the most underfunded in the nation. People are emigrating out of the state nearly 200,000 net in 2009.

  10. @Bonn,
Why would the PPT be supressing gold tomorrow?

  11. Thanks for letting your guest speak at length, it is so fascinating to listen to Mr Hudson.
A good informative interview we can learn a lot from.
I enjoyed it very much, bring Hudson back again and again.
hehehe gold quote of the day by Hudson: *HAH!!*

  12. Talking to people about the economic situation I really get the impression the big lies work damn well. Nobody with an income above 50.000 thinks about whet Hudson says, that wealth is primarily energy related, that ownership in society is slowly being reduced to zero and that working to stay alive is basically an obsolete concept.

I tell this guy some dutch famres made on average 5500 Euro in 2009. So the guy that feeds 10.000 people gets nothing, but 10.000 times 300 = 3.000000 euro are spend by them every year. He said it was ironic that to help farmes they where allowed to start on-farm hotels and where makeing good money. Some are doing so well they would like to quit farming!

  13. Hudson is such a great guest. To be able to communicate so clearly without any ego getting in the way. Just sound thinking backed up by a lot of knowledge. I gotta get his book. Hope to catch the silent part after my sleep.

  14. Not even Keiser is cool enough to wear suspenders.

As always, Hudson is the motherf**kin man. His knowledge of history gives a holistic view that some commentators just dont have. Excellent show y’all. Must say I like the extended interviews for the On The Edge shows, gives your guests a real chance to communicate.

  15. baltric dry index collapsing. doulbe dip ahead? your thoughts

  16. @Palantír – yes, I love Hudson’s “hah!” . . . makes me laugh every time I watch it

  17. Rent-seekers:

    - Land owners (as if land can be ‘owned’ – no it can only be *used*)

    - House price speculators (see land ‘owners’)

    - Government slave masters (taxes, fines, licences, favors, indulgences)

    - Religion (“he died for your sins!” – now pay me to get you a place in heaven)

    - Central-bankers (monopoly money, collecting rent/”interest” on debt/”money”)

    - Corporations (high corporate taxes = high barriers to entry = low competition = few competitors = “too big to fail” = plutocrat returns)

    - Media/Communications (government-granted oligopoly bandwidth licences in return for broadcasting government propaganda – you criticise the govt. bandwidth gets pulled – now shut up and broadcast the war!)

Thank you for interviewing Dr Hudson.

It’s not savers versus speculators, its *CAPITALISTS vs RENTIERS

    * = Free-markets, free of force, free of ‘government’.

  18. MirrorMirror

    @Mike/Liverpool ….

    When
    you

  19. @Youri Carma

The Netherlands doenst have worlds lowest unemployment rate. The government manipulates the unemployment rate by excluding people who aren’t “able to” work. The real unemployment rate is 9%.

  20. @kk

There is no double dip we never came out of the depression were still in it. All smoke and mirrors by the MSM. The growth that was so triumphantly reportred by the MSM minions was nothing more than a “dead cat bounce”.

  21. @Commandini

TnX for the correction got carried away for a moment in pink glass watching cause of the weather I think in thinking that our NWO minions would be reporting accurately. Of cause Not! Dutch are the best in hiding things under the carpet.

  22. All Greec people took advantage of the credit bubble, not only real estate owners. Wages increased nearly 100% since 2000 while in Germany wages increased only 12%. This also happend to public pension payments! So some cut in wages and pensions are not bad at all if you compare it to the improvements of the passed years!

  23. Marc Authier

Which proves foreigners are assholes when it comes to the USA. It’s fairly easy to understand the perverse dynamics.

Under communism and during all of the Cold War period it was even funnier to see the phenomenom in Russia and places like Cuba. You could even say that Cuba financed USA sanctions against itself ! all the time. So did Russia and Communist China. Such is the total stupidity of foreingners which most I still consider totals farts when it come to the US dollar.

  24. @ Youri:
And don’t forget the Dutch people are the biggest debt slaves in the world: the highest personal debt (or second highest Iceland being first?)
This was done by the very clever construction of selling it to the public as a favour: tax deduction for mortgage loans.
My thesis is that what is presented as a gift is actually a theft: the ones who benefit are the local city governments, banks, government, builders and more. This all due to elevated prices of houses, mortgages, price of land.
The (still) high prices of housing in the Netherlands are being explained as being normal due to the market forces of scarcity.
Right wing politicians defend the tax deduction heavily. The rich owning a house for lets say a million Euro gets paid by the people renting small houses.
It is a complete hoax and I hope the Netherlands will get hit by big, very big problems and a total collapse of the housing prices. (I am Dutch in case you didn’t know)

It’s fairly easy to evaluate for a country the advantages and desadvantages of going bankrupt specially in the case of Greece and Latvia.

You calculate alll the interests you will have to pay let’s say on 20, 30, 40 or 50 years. If the actualised amounts of all the interests and capital paid is more costly than simply going bankrupt now, you do it.

You don’t even have a computer for Greece and Latvia. It’s CLEAR as cristal that bankruptcy is the thing to do. The greek and latvian governments should be toppled.

  29. again… a real shame to see this blog slip more and more into socialist forms of thinking

    @alister
And you Alister are a national-socialist. A bankster national-socialist. The only point that is not correct here, is that it’s not really neo-liberalism but plain bankster fascism. It’s not even neo-liberalism it’s almost the pure form of facism à la Augusto Pinochet. Socialize the losses and risks, and privatize the profits. It’s the Hitler model.

  32. There is no economic recovery and there will be no economic recovery until
the wars underway across central asia are brought to a halt. The american
people , 60 percent by recent count, are against the wars raging from the Hindu Kush to the Mediterreanean. We are being bled white to serve the corporate miitary political elite. Look around our cities……they are all beginning to look like Tijuana, B.C. Our security is not served by the wars of Brack Hussein Obama. Think about it…..we are a country that cannot control the flow of drugs, guns and illegal aliens across the southern frontier. Why expect the government to bring security to Afghanistan, Iraq
Colombia or anywhere else ? The american government cannot manage
or maintain a public education system nor create an economy the produces
jobs for its citizenry. Why trust it to do this for central asia, africa or latin
america ? Our government serves a sociopathic elite not the american people. The question is……how long before this government turns on an
uncooperative populace that demands an end to an overseas military-
economic empire ? The american government employs ” verschaefte
vernehmungen ” ( enhance interrogation technique used by the Gestapo)
on terrorists abroad. Surely, it is only a matter of time until torture methods
    are used against americans ?

We will see armed resistence against the government before the end of
the next decade. By 2020 enough of our citizenry will be alienated by co-
ercive police power, unending orwellian wars abroad, mass unemployment
and and confiscatory taxation to end the social contract citizens have
    with the american government.

There is no economy to recover…..only a deeply seated revolutionary
inclination, Circumstances are facilitating the retrival of that inclination as
we speak and write about our nations discontent. A government that is
represented by bankers, black clothed, shield thumping, heavily armed
police and a military that machineguns iraqi adults and children from attack
helicopter is doomed. Like all revolutions it will come unexpected, without
notice from the NYT, Bloomberg or the Los Angeles Times….there will be
a spark and then an uprising…… ferocious, destructive and uncontrolable.

    Great Interview. THANKS to all

I would love to see some real economists like Dr Hudson on MSM

I can not understand why we get economist like Will Hutton on the BBC who I don’t believe is a bad bloke but just a Keynesian..

But the stupidity of what main stream economists come out with seems so obvious and what they say is so incorrect I wonder if its all propaganda but that is overly paranoid.

    Maybe its a mix?

  49. Defund the Center for Foriegn Realtions (CFR), stop them from using your money, boycott the big banks, buy gold and silver, unthink FICA scores and and starve the financing of the Illuminati and Committee of 300. Let the Brookings Institute and the Center for American Progress know you know who they really are. Call for a world re-investigation of 911.

  50. Great show. Thanks, Max. About South of the Border, I haven’t seen any commercials or anything for it on TV, but turned on CNN for a few minutes the other day to find a couple of talking heads mentioning its release. They showed a clip from the trailer and then proceeded to call Oliver Stone “left-leaning” while mocking him for making Chavez look like “a man of the people.” Over and over, they called Chavez a “dangerous dictator,” saying how “most of the world sees Chavez as a dangerous dictator.” It was hilarious. They probably should’ve just not talked about the documentary, because they were so transparent. There would be total silence as both of them stared at the camera and all they could manage to say to one other about the film was that Chavez is a dangerous dictator. Guess they don’t like that Stone took on the American propaganda machine.

  51. @Max and Stacy

You need to interview George Selgin ASAP Since 1987, he has been advocating monetary deflation as appropriate for growing productivity.

Michael Hudson comes tantalizingly close to showing an understanding of this concept, but he doesn’t come out and say it. A gradual monetyary deflation would restore the world to a path of milk and honey without Hudson’s wacky taxation/property seizure schemes. I develop the concept more fully at George Selgin and deflation

  52. Nice interview with Dr Hudson … like to think of the point here as “the embellishment of modern slavery”.

  53. Jeannon Kralj

    Hudson good.

I thought it was cool the way he said Greece should just say no. However, I tend to think austerity is not all bad. Greece will need to change their behavior, in business practices and in worker/labor practices.

A guy on local public access TV said Greece was just way lax in the labor practices. People demand many concessions and are almost all in unions. Said they only want to work a few hours a day, like from 12 to 1 with an hour for lunch.

I know the truth must becsomewhere in between.

  54. Sound went out midway on 3rd clip of On the Edge. Please repair and show again.

  56. Wow, y’all have to check out these G20 thugs. Can you believe it?! They’re just randomly freaking grabbing people and sucking them into and then behind the riot police line. What cowards. I fail to see how they’re much better than the Basij in Iran.

    http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/torontog20summit/article/829238–tear-gas-fired-in-downtown-rampage

  58. @FranSix – Protesters have to stop going to these kinds of things and expecting that if they’re peaceful, all will go well. They need to go in with some tactics of their own. That crowd of people in the park in the vid. clip I linked to could’ve easily all stormed the cops and grabbed the innocent protesters who they were arresting away from them. Sure, they’re all black and scary looking with their outfits and weapons, but they can’t beat hundreds of people at once. When someone is arrested w/o reason, citizens should be free to either set that person free or disarm and tie up the offending police rioter.

    @Youri:
If it’s the ‘end of empire’, why does Clinton have a leading role for the World Bank in the IDB colonization of the Caribbean/Latin America? Why does the Wolfensohn/Volker team write US economy policy? Why does former World Bank director Stiglitz maintain a leading role in formation of UN economy policy encapsulated around a multilateral exchange rate system/governance using sdr-index? Why does the world press continue to fawn over the same money-motivated propoganda reticent to western “ideals”? Why is NATO not disbanded? Why has the IMF been handed an expanded role in survelliance and loan-making hegemony? What is the Stand-By-Agreement being used on the perifery of the European banking governance?

Don’t you mean fruition of empire?

Preference is a little bluegrassy, but anything that would help bring people to tears and rock their souls a little bit to stimulate the release of grief would work.

So far, this is a contender:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EXDidpQFdw

(Obviously would have to find a copy of it with better sound quality.)

What’s the soulful ranking on a scale of 1 (being the lowest) to 10 (highest)? Anyone have a better suggestion?

  81. @Johan, a fiat currency combined with taxation on labor is a model of slavery. There is nothing wacky about seizing the power to tax from those who in effect use land ownership and other means of production and supply as means of taxing the public. Allowing individuals to control vast resources without taxation against those resources, puts labor under two tax systems simultaneously and eventually the private system collects most of the power which is where we find ourselves today. When taxation is on labor it necessitates control and monitoring that stifle productivity as well, while those same measures fail when it comes to the very wealthy. This prevents innovation.

The method you prescribe denies the intrinsic reasons for the current model’s design. It is all about siphoning power and control from governments to hollow them out until they’re mere slave-farm management teams. That control is taken and maintained at any cost including a dramatic decline in productivity. The masters would rather control 100% of $1 than 1% of $10,000. They’re genuinely psychopaths who fear being “found out” and losing control over others. Controlling the means of production and supply without paying taxes, barriers to entry throughout the system, and the medium of exchanging value, are the means by which the masters lord over their serfs. Hudson understands this perfectly well (although I doubt he’d get into the psychology of it). His “wacky” confiscations and taxes would dramatically increase productivity, human and ecological health, and decentralize power, yielding greater equality in many respects, fewer wars, and so on.

  84. When you are born into a world where everything you might use to provide for yourself independently is owned by someone else who practically speaking pays no taxes, you are their slave. The taxes you pay to government are a charade. They are used to manage the slave farm. The money you have left over is your allowance with which to manage your slave expenses through markets owned by your masters. Unless the taxes shift to the masters, you’ll always be slaves.

World Bank and the IMF are part of that falling empire. Stiglitz is dinosaur doing damage control after being hit by a gigantic metorite split in pieces trying to pull itself together from nothing.

The new US economy policy is a red haring and changed nothing for the better more for the worse.

SDR’s is more of the same fiat ponzi. No one will buy that anymore. The world isn’t that stupid.

NATO is not part of that empire but is a brittle as Max’s frozen hands falling of in a shattering of trillion spiky pieces on a concrete frozen floor in the coming ice age.

European banking governance is sick joke in an disintegrating Europe which in a view years will be nothing more than a vague memory of a nightmarish dream going realy bad.

Existing from 1581 to 1795, preceding the modern Kingdom of the Netherlands later the Constitutonal Kingdom in which the King is merely a puppet of the Government.

New discussion are firing up now to get rid of the Queen.

In 1799, William landed in the current North Holland as part of an Anglo-Russian invasion. The local Dutch population was not pleased with the arrival of the prince. Some local Orangists were even executed. After several minor battles he was forced to leave the country again after the Convention of Alkmaar. Napoleon Bonaparte gave him some small German principalities as indemnities for the lost territories. These principalities were confiscated when Napoleon invaded Germany (1806) and William supported his Prussian relatives. He succeeded his father as prince of Orange later that year, after William V’s death.

On 30 November 1813 William landed at Scheveningen beach, only a few metres from the place where he had left the country with his father eighteen years previously, and on 6 December the provisional government offered him the title of King. William refused, instead proclaiming himself “sovereign prince”. He also wanted the rights of the people to be guaranteed by “a wise constitution”.

Rhetoric from royals should be taken with a grain of salt, Youri.

  98. frances snoot

“Plato (speaking through Socrates) divides human beings up based on their innate intelligence, strength, and courage. Those who are not overly bright, or strong, or brave, are suited to various productive professions: farming, smithing, building, etc. Those who are somewhat bright, strong, and especially courageous are suited to defensive and policing professions. Those who are extraordinarily intelligent, virtuous, and brave, are suited to run the state itself; that is, Plato’s ideal state is an aristocracy, a Greek word which means “rule by the best.” The lower end of human society, which, as far as Plato is concerned, consists of an overwhelming majority of people in a state, he calls the “producers,” since they are most suited for productive work. The middle section of society, a smaller but still large number of people, make up the army and the police and are called “Auxiliaries.” The best and the brightest, a very small and rarefied group, are those who are in complete control of the state permanently; Plato calls these people “Guardians.” In the ideal state, “courage” characterizes the Auxiliaries; “wisdom” displays itself in the lives and government of the Guardians. A state may be said to have “temperance” if the Auxiliaries obey the Guardians in all things and the Producers obey the Auxiliaries and Guardians in all things. A state may be said to be intemperate if any of the lower groups do not obey one of the higher groups. A state may be said to be just if the Auxiliaries do not simply obey the Guardians, but enjoy doing so, that is, they don’t grumble about the authority being exercised over them; a just state would require that the Producers not only obey the Auxiliaries and Guardians, but that they do so willingly.”

The U.S. has Independance day from July 4, 1776 but in Leiden the famous birtplace of Rembrandt they still have the Independance day from the 80 year war with the Spanjards from 3 oktober 1574.

Still every 3 October you have a big party and every citizen of the city Leiden gets a free raw herring from the Municpal which is eaten raw usually with some fine cut onions. http://fragmentaselecta.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/haring.jpg

Not realy. Rome was a City State. You had People in Rome and the rest outside Rome the Peregrini (Non Roman citizen) with diffirent rights.

Can’t compare that. We had a Republic in the Modern sence which was copied in the founding of the U.S..

  101. frances snoot

I put quotes around it, Geez, Youri.

  102. Youri Carma

Well now in the U.S. you have Wall Street (Rome) and the rest (perigrini) the rest of the U.S. with diffirent – lesser rights.

  103. frances snoot

Didn’t the Dutch have something to do with WallStreet, Youri? Why don’t you reach into your history hat and pull that rabbit out for us.

JFK was also not crazy about total ground war in Southeast asia. LBJ in 1964 killed Goldwater with the daisy ad and ran on peace and called Goldwater a warmonger. Well he won by a landslide in 1964 and in 1965 operation rolling thunder started over North Vietnam. America has never really recovered from this war.

Y’all Dutchie-boys just went up to the Catskills and went all ghosty playing ninepins.

  111. Wall Street really did used to be a wall, built by the settlers of what they called New Amsterdam. I even read somewhere that pigs were directly to blame for this wall too. Apparently the semi-wild herds of pigs could get pretty aggressive, and the wall was built to protect the settlement from rampaging pigs. http://thedinerjournal.com/date/2009/7/31/303/

How did y’all manage to wear all those layers of white lace about the neck? Did only white guys get to wear the white lace collars? What kind of collars did the people of color wear out in the perifery?

  114. @Snoot. well i’m waiting for cnn of coarse.

  115. @frances snoot

Well I am not with the modern pigs on Wall Street like Soros but I would be with the ol huggable, eatable ol pigs on Wall Street.

But some hisrorical facts get a live on there own we didn’t sell New Amsterdam (New York) but was reigned in by the British with the Westminster treaty and maybe the pig story isn’t true either cause the build wooden walls anyways. “The tribe’s acquisition is also historic because there’s a long-standing connection between American Indians and New York’s financial district. Wall Street is named after a defensive wall that was built by early Dutch settlers in Manhattan in order to keep American Indians out. Over 350 years later, the Lower Brule tribe has broken down that wall. Now it has to prove to investors that it can succeed.”

Unemployment Extension Unsuccessful; Americans turn on Each Other

The Senate’s unsuccessful bid at approving an unemployment extension has caused unemployed Americans to become more desperate for a lifeline. Unfortunately, to make matters worse for these Americans, they are becoming victims of harsh words online by other Americans and even companies.

After researchers from U.S. Chronicle reviewed comments posted by users on opencongress.org — a site dedicated to aggregating data and information about Congress from the web — there appears to be an increase in the number of users who verbally abuse other users seeking an unemployment extension.

One user posted a comment asking why people were dependent on the government to help them. The user further went on to state, “The whining for government benefits is embarrassing and pathetic.”

In a separate incident reported earlier this month by the Huffington Post, The People Place, a job recruiting company, reportedly posted a job description with a message along the bottom that read, “Client will not consider/review anyone NOT currently employed regardless of the reason.”

Another incident occurred with Sony/Ericsson, where the company posted a help wanted ad, with the the following message, “NO UNEMPLOYED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED AT ALL.”

  122. Here you can actually see something how it looked like with all the ol vegetation http://themannahattaproject.org/explore/mannahatta-map/

  124. @ GGees – I’m actually surprised by Sony/Ericsson. You’d think they’d want unemployed people to apply for jobs so that they could get way with paying them crappier wages, giving them crappier hours, and few to no benefits.

I am afraid its everyone for himself until as such time as we implode and maybe, maybe renewal will start once this has occurred.

For that same reason, while the United States favors requiring banks to set aside significantly more capital as a cushion against future losses, some European countries are fighting this. The move would be expensive, and German leaders, in particular, feel this would unfairly punish their banks for a problem caused by American banks — despite much evidence, according to analysts, that the European institutions, too, were involved in the free-wheeling culture that got the world economy into so much trouble.

“European policymakers are being slow, almost unforgivably slow, in making changes because of the belief that Americans were almost exclusively to blame for the crisis,” said Simon Tilford, an economist at the Center for European Reform in London. But, he said, “they also engaged in similar banking practices — there was a similar property boom here, similar excessive mortgage lending.”

I guess you didn’t click on the links or bother to read the material. A deflationary money policy is good for workers in that it grants them a growing share of the output, with prices on goods getting cheaper every year.

I emailed the links to Hudson and asked him if he didn’t agree. He said that he did but that I was living in a parallel universe, that this solution could never happen because of the PTB. Evidently he is politically invested in his plan.

  153. Youri Carma

    @California Doctor

Yeah, I have my doubts too but I decided to stick to it to find out either way. That’s the only way toy can further with it. I did it with the Joe Stack case and pretty soon found out that the timetables were absurt thus false flag. The only way I could reach that conclusion is to ser your teeth in it and separate the bull from the real info and at the end it pretty much adds up.

This is more dificult with a single deep throat – if it’s genuine in the first place, but we’ll see. Info is mixed up, bits and all together not somthing people would get hiped up about. Military fooling around is quiet normal but we don’t hear about it and maybe that’s the best if it doesn’t have any other consequences which affect us.

  160. A fitting documentary to go along with President Obama’s G20 speech:

    Black Money.

Obama spoke of getting rid of corruption today and of how American workers can compete with the world . . . IF we were on a “level playing field” (as if American corporations ever give the rest of the world a chance to play on a level field). But this doc. points on early on that even in the Carter days, American corporations could not compete overseas at all without bribing foreign politicians, police, etc.

  161. Hilarious

You still don’t get the point that deflation is good for the worker and middle class.

I am a farmer and landowner and don’t feel comfortable about wild-eyed socialist schemes to seize all the land in the name of the economy when Hudson himself knows that a deflationist money policy would make all that unnecessary.

Yah, that Laura Tyson irked the hell out of me as well…
Her counters to Goldsmith’s “data” were references to unnamed “studies”…
    I hate shit like that…
And just look at the result…
The jobs left just like Goldsmith stated… it is completely logical…
    No studies required…

Charlie Rose seemed almost like the prototype to what Larry Kudlow is today…
But in his defense, the years since then (1994) have made him wiser and more thoughtful, IMO

I’ve never really heard of Goldsmith either, so kudos to Liverpool Mike for bringing him to my attention this morning (See earlier in the thread for his reference)…

I’m sure Cameroon is fit for the task, Archibald.

    Yes, I say. What dear?

Cameroon or what’s-it-name: the austerity model must be forwarded. So much money wasted by the government, really, it’s criminal!

Yes, I say. So much money!

And the poor aren’t grateful! They don’t want a handout! They want a chance for DIGNITY. They aspire to work! Cameroon must silence those Stimulus Shills!!

    Yes, I say. Work!

Now, do hurry up. We are going riding this afternoon.

I say! Riding! Did you say if you got Mary to buy grapefruit?

Mind you-Guiseppi-that statute has a bit of fine print on the base. You have to lean quite close to see it to read it. Would you like to know what it says?

    SILENCE THE STIMULUS SHILLS

(oh, there, I do go on)

Don’t you like seeing Cameron on a pedestal?

  187. Johan, there is no plan to seize all the land, but I did sense you had a misguided personal stake. You don’t bother attempting to understand the views of others and then expect them to respect your poorly thought out ideas. Deflation isn’t enough. And you don’t own the land anyways. First and foremost you are owned.

  188. YES!!!!

    Silence those Stimulus Shills…
They have trodden upon the hopes of the labourer
for sake of the Economic Indicator…

For whom dost the economy serve?
‘Tis but a red-herring amidst an oily sea of befuddlement…
    For you see,
    the econo-me
    serves no body,
but the Corpus Corporatus (is that redundancy?)

    Check this…
I finally learned the difference between Multi-national and Trans-national,
    c/o Goldsmith
(Chap 2, pg 23 of THE TRAP pdf-version)
There is a difference between today’s transnational companies and the old multinationals. Multinationals built factories in Brazil or India in order to conquer the Brazilian or Indian markets, not in order to acquire cheap labour to replace jobs at home. They participated productively in the economies of the countries in which they invested and did so without damaging their own national economies. Transnationals, on the other hand, buy labour in low-wage countries and import their products for sale in the residual high-wage, high income markets. Today many of the larger groups have become hybrids. When Sony manufactures televisions in France for sale in the European Union, it is acting as a multinational. When it imports, for sale in Europe, televisions produced in low-wage areas, it is acting as a transnational.

Nearly ten years later and we’re still there, lets not forget The Never Ending Storyyyyy Iraq either…You won’t ever be able to take so much as a leak outside the “greenzone” without APC’s, armed troops and air support. U.S. has kind of created another Palestine (occupied land under armed guard) and you can bet that’s gonna breed more trouble in the future, which in turn will breed more wars which in turn is exactly what they want.

Max looks surprisingly sprite and healthy this episode.

9/11 “accident” geopolitical manuvering in Iraq and Afghanistan “accident”
    YEAHHHHHHHHH RIGHTTTTTTTTTT

  195. If the laws of averages have any say then the fact the U.S. has come this far and become a world power from its humble beginings an “accident” is like saying winning lotto everyday for the next 2000 years was an “accident”…no..TOTALLY deliberate..

I love the attacks on Keynes…paradox of thrift?? Let’s try just the opposite of what he expunged into our college econ text books. Also..David Ricardo, microecon theory of comparative advantage and specialization…Nassim Taleb made a good point some time ago, that comparative advantage would leave a system vulnerable should a black swan hit a specialist sector…there is no redundentcy in Ricardo’s theory, redundentcy is considered inefficient…you have two eyes, two lungs, etc…nature is redundent for a reason..so the new economy, in the macro sense, should do the opposite of Keynes and the micro economy should seek security in duplication.

  201. Chris Gould

Where’s part 3? Even if it was removed for not being inflammatory enough he’s a sharp cookie this Hudson fella who presents as a paid up member of the suit and tie brigade but can actually elucidate on his fields of expertise whilst offering genuine alternatives worthy of consideration by the binders of criminally inaccurate economic textbooks.
Perhaps there should be a Financial Wizard Futures exchange built to weed Fox news out of existence.

  202. Max has a tendency to bring total idiots from time to time to his program. A lot of content time to fill!
