    Feed up with always going to the last page of comments first, having to scroll down to the bottom, and clicking on ‘Older Comments’ for each page of 50 comments just to read them in the order that they were posted?
    Well I was. Max and Stace are too busy with reporting the news, so I fixed it for myself using Greasemonkey.

    Senator Feingold of Wisconsin will oppose financial reform bill. He doesn’t think it goes far and it does not. He was the only senator to oppose the first Patriot act in 2002. I’ve always liked him even if we disagree on some issues.

    Feingold is Jewish of course and clever as hell, He’s a stickler on law issues. He’s right, the finance reform is a joke, everyone over at “Baselinescenario” knows it’s a joke, as well as over at “Nakedcapitalism” and I imagine Matt Taibbi will be giving them hell sometime soon.

    I was extremely extremely disappointed in Rachel Maddow the other night. She had Barney Frank on, and she was smooching his ass for about 8 minutes. If she wants to say it’s an improvement, fine, but she threw him about 10 softball questions, it was nauseating.

    Andrew Graham-Dixon is very informative I’ll probably get the book. The thing about painting is that its very tedious and requiring of much concentration and patience – you see all that painting of clothes – folds – light and dark – its not only difficult but requires a specific temperament and application which seems to me to fly in the face of the portrait of Caravaggio. I dont doubt the facts from Dixon but there was a side to Caravaggio that must have had that temperament and it must have been much of the time for him to have done what he did – among the greatest of painters. The flashes of terrible violence that marks him out to us in criminal records were just that – flashes in a sea of applied concentrated brilliance.
